00:00In the near future, mysterious creatures appear out of nowhere and start killing people, causing an apocalyptic event that does not leave many survivors.
00:08There are many theories about what happened, such as a baby carrying an infection, a love-hate relationship, and a punishment for humanity, but they are all rumored and no one knows the true story.
00:17In the city, Paul is looking for clues when the sirens start to sound. He immediately runs and breaks through the streets, hiding when necessary, and avoiding any screams and explosions.
00:28As the city is covered in black smoke, Paul arrives at an abandoned house on the outskirts, where he meets his children again, for whom he has to take care of himself.
00:36Fifteen years later, Paul's children have grown into healthy teenagers. They live in the same house and go out during the day to look for clues, but at night they hide.
00:44As soon as the sun begins to set, Joseph covers the windows and tells their dog Rock to enter the house.
00:50Paul waits outside until he sees Thomas coming back and hugs him for being late. Thomas explains that he likes to help their neighbors, the Rose family, who have a farm.
00:59Then the three of them secure every door and window before they dine. Paul hugs Thomas again, telling him that if he delays them any longer, he will not be allowed to cross the border.
01:09Joseph swears at his brother because of that and the fight quickly escalates into a physical fight, but Paul quickly stops them and reminds them that they are people, not animals.
01:18After dinner, Paul watches his sons play chess, but he stops when Rock starts to scratch and cut on the floor.
01:23Considering this, Paul and Thomas climb down, surprised by a sudden knock on the door.
01:28It seems that the creatures are trying to enter, so they immediately hold the door to prevent their opening.
01:34A few seconds of knocking lasts until the creatures give up and leave.
01:37Then Thomas calls Joseph, who did not help, but Joseph discovers that he listened to learn more.
01:43There were three attempts, the first lasted 10 seconds, the second 20, and the last only one.
01:48Joseph believes that this was the first test, the second was a real attempt to break through, and the third was just a frustrated blow.
01:54The next day, he checks the door and sees all the traces of a dagger on the wood.
01:58The door is weakened, so Paul and his sons go out to look for a tree for reinforcement.
02:02They bring everything they find back home, while Thomas picks up the tree, Paul checks Joseph, who is building something in the forest.
02:08After a little persuasion from Paul, Joseph admits that he is trying to build a vehicle because he is tired of the feeling of confinement and fear.
02:15However, he cannot force him to work.
02:18Paul is impressed by the sight, quickly making a few changes that finally start the car.
02:23Excited, Paul leads the teenagers on a ride to teach them how to drive.
02:27After an hour of wandering, they return home and Paul announces that the window still needs reinforcement, so he sends the boys to the river to look for material.
02:34Thomas is angry because he was promised that he can go to the farm today, but Paul says that this is more important.
02:39The brothers leave by car and Thomas begins to blame Joseph for this, saying that Paul sent Thomas just to protect his brother.
02:46Joseph does not think he needs protection, so Thomas gets out of the car when he passes by the farm and asks Joseph to pick him up on the way back.
02:53In the house, Paul completes the reinforcement of the door and rests alone by the waterfall, while he looks around and sees a black lake in the desert.
03:00In the meantime, Joseph goes to the river and gets in the car before he gets off in the old abandoned boat to look for a refuge.
03:07Inside the closet is a pen with a dirty magazine that leaves him speechless for a moment.
03:12Then he looks further inside and is surprised to be frightened when a swarm of bugs comes out of the trash can.
03:17They fly around him and try to get to his leather, so he has to get out of there quickly.
03:22At the farm, Thomas helps the family with business, but soon he discovers that his main reason for coming is the arrival of the owner's daughter Charlotte.
03:28It is clear that the teenagers have a sympathy for each other and go for a walk together in the field.
03:33Charlotte shows Thomas a rope tied to a tree, explaining that when she was little, she was allowed to play outside only if she touched the tree, so she would tie herself to it to have more space to run,
03:43while in fact she was technically still tied to the tree.
03:46They also play a game in which they share crazy theories about what caused the apocalypse.
03:51When it's time for Thomas' departure, Charlotte gives him a hard hug, the sun begins to set and both boys have to hurry.
03:58Paul returns home and worries when he finds Rock, but none of his sons.
04:02Joseph returns to the car and at first cannot start the car, but after a few attempts, he finally starts it.
04:08Thomas runs as fast as he can and then slides, and in the end he falls into a hole in the ground.
04:12When Joseph comes for his brother, he doesn't see him and just keeps going.
04:16When he gets home, he tells his father what happened, so he persuades him to go inside and concludes everything while they look for Thomas.
04:23In the afternoon, Thomas wakes up with a very sick body.
04:26Using a lighter, he begins to explore the area and is shocked when he sees a creature crawling through a hole in the wall.
04:32He even screams when he hears Paul and Rock.
04:34Carefully moving, Thomas takes out a small knife and stabs the hand of the monster, causing it to retreat into the hole.
04:40However, when Thomas retreats, another creature appears above and grabs him by the face.
04:46Thomas has breathing problems, but before he loses consciousness, Paul comes and pulls the monster back to kill him quickly.
04:52After he makes sure that Thomas is okay, Paul and Rock find a tunnel that leads them straight to the hole.
04:57It is dangerous to run through the forest at this time, so they decide to stay in the hole until the sun comes out for protection and block the entrance.
05:04They hear the creature coming through the hole, so they prepare a signal rocket just to get the ground to start shaking.
05:09It turns out that the monster is now moving underground and is capturing the group in the hole, covering the exit with dirt.
05:16While Rock continues to bark and the monster continues to bark, Paul tells his son and dog to retreat while he puts a signal rocket in the hole that opens in the ground.
05:24When the creatures try to get to them, Paul creates a small explosion, which unfortunately hits him as well.
05:29In the house, Joseph hears a lot of creaking and begins to plan.
05:33A few minutes later, he sits in front of the main doors with a rope tied to the table and falls asleep.
05:38The creature quickly moves a tree that covers the hole in the doors and crawls inside, making his nails grow to check if Joseph really fell asleep.
05:46When the boy does not react, the creatures enter only to make Joseph discover that he was acting and pull the rope.
05:51KV falls from the ceiling, currently capturing the creature.
05:54Proud of himself, Joseph covers KV with a blanket and goes to sleep.
05:58The next morning he is worried because the others have not returned yet, so he leaves by car to look for them.
06:03In the meantime, Thomas dug out the ruined ground to reopen the entrance and pull out his badly wounded father.
06:09Rocco also goes out and follows the sound of the car to find Joseph and return him to his family.
06:15The brothers immediately begin to carry Paul to the car and then to his bed in the house.
06:20As they disassemble, Thomas finally notices KV and looks under the blanket, which causes the creature to go crazy.
06:26Joseph immediately returns the blanket, explaining that the light hurts the monster.
06:30Then they rewind Paul's wounds, while Joseph explains that last night the creature needed 8 seconds to enter, the shortest time so far.
06:37He is also sure that there was another creature that left.
06:40Their behavior changes too quickly and Joseph concludes that something is wrong.
06:44Thomas points out that the creatures are smart, that is, they killed the son last night in the cave.
06:49But they may have come here for redemption, because Charlotte says that they rarely come to the farm.
06:53Joseph does not think they killed the creature, he thinks that only Paul did.
06:57To prove himself, Thomas tries to kill the creature in KV.
07:00Joseph tries to stop him because he wants to teach the creature a lesson and in the fight, the creature comes out and quickly hides under the bed.
07:07When he finally checks, Rocco starts barking at him, so the creature transforms to attack.
07:12Joseph rushes to keep him down, and Thomas then cuts his head with an axe.
07:16Still wanting to find out more, Joseph takes the body to the forest and begins to open it while Rocco and Gomela Buba are watching.
07:22No matter how much he cuts, he can't get a further understanding of what it could be.
07:26Then Thomas says that they should take Paul to Charlotte's farm because they have a better house and real medicine.
07:32Joseph does not think that Rose will help, but Thomas forces him to come with him.
07:36The brothers put Paul back in the car and drive to the farm, where Charlotte's parents show up in the right,
07:41they do not have enough medicine to share, so they refuse to accept someone who is so badly injured.
07:46Charlotte protests, but is ignored.
07:48However, her parents agree to let Thomas stay, which would leave Paul and Joseph with more resources in their house.
07:55Joseph immediately leaves, and when Thomas follows him, he comes to an argument in which Joseph blames Thomas for the upcoming death.
08:01Angry, Thomas pushes his brother to the ground and begins to crush him, but when he realizes what he is doing, he withdraws.
08:07Joseph immediately returns to the car and leaves with an unconscious father, so Thomas joins the family at the farm.
08:12After that, Charlotte shares some real food with Thomas and shows him some of her things that Thomas had never seen before.
08:18Teenagers share a sweet moment and kiss, only to be interrupted by Charlotte's father, who sends his daughter to another room.
08:25On the way back, Joseph notices sheep running in fear and piles of trash, which means that the creatures are moving underground.
08:31When he arrives at the house, he sees a trail of trash near the wall, so he is afraid that there may be monsters under the house.
08:37After worrying about his father, Joseph goes into the forest and begins to collect items to make a new plan.
08:43He also begins to block all windows, and while walking around the house, he falls when he stands on the carpet.
08:48Underneath him is a hole, so he concludes that the monsters are already inside the building.
08:52At the farm, Charlotte finds Thomas' stable in the kitchen.
08:55He is still worried about his father, so he wants to find some medicine and leave.
08:59Charlotte gives him the medicine and thanks him for the hug, promising that he will return, not caring that someone can hear them.
09:05Thomas leaves, but before he reaches the gate, a worker at the farm rubs a gun at him, accusing him of theft.
09:11Thomas tries to explain that Charlotte gave him the medicine, but the man does not believe him.
09:15All the workers join and take Thomas to the forest, where they tie him and play music to hide what they will do to him.
09:22They catch Thomas' legs and the man is ready to shoot them, but at that moment a hole appears under him and he falls, missing the shot.
09:29Other people run to check him at the same time as the creatures jump out of the hole.
09:33In the main house, Charlotte's parents wake up when they hear a bang.
09:36The father lights a candle to go and investigate, only for the creature to enter the room and attack them.
09:41The candle falls and immediately causes a fire, while the monster jumps from the father to the mother, trying to kill them both.
09:47The father pulls him back so that the mother runs to her room to find her daughters, but the creature jumps on her before it can go too far.
09:54The monster shakes to transform again and begins to return to the woman before it hits her.
09:59In her bedroom, Charlotte hears her parents being killed.
10:03When the bang stops, a terrified woman comes out and reveals a trail of blood that follows her until she finds the creature in the closet with her mother's body on her back.
10:11In the forest, people try unsuccessfully to fight the creatures.
10:14One by one, they begin to be killed, and those who manage to get out are also chased away as more and more monsters come.
10:21In the forest, as soon as the fire is caught, Thomas manages to break the fence for which he is tied, breaking the tree to free his hands.
10:27At that moment, he is found by the monster, but before it attacks him, Charlotte shoots him.
10:32After that, the teenagers run out and Thomas sees the house burning.
10:36Charlotte explains that her parents are gone, so they agree to go to Thomas's place.
10:41Back at Joseph's, he throws a pile of furniture in the hole, hoping it will buy him some time.
10:46Then he checks his unconscious father and kisses him on the forehead before he gets ready to fight.
10:50The hole on the doors suddenly opens, but it's just Thomas and Charlotte.
10:55Joseph admits that he needs Thomas's help, but their conversation interrupts the stick that finally wakes up.
11:00He quickly takes the medicine and tells his sons to continue the fight.
11:03Joseph shares his plan with the others and collects all the cans of gasoline that they can find in the forest, while Rocco continues to search to warn them of the imminent danger.
11:12The group also brings the old freezer into the house.
11:15Then Thomas and Charlotte begin to strengthen every remaining window while Joseph makes a pile of furniture and covers it with gasoline.
11:22At the top, he adds every explosive object he could find and one of the cigarette butts that are slowly burning.
11:28The surprise pile that covers the hole begins to shake at the same time as the monster crawls out of the chimney into the room with Paul.
11:34The second monster comes out of the hole, and when the threshold passes, Thomas stabs him in the back.
11:38The monster immediately attacks, but Thomas pulls out his knife and stabs him in the head, now really killing him.
11:43The third monster goes after Charlotte and she quickly shoots him.
11:47Then the two run to join Joseph again and begin to move the freezer again, only to return behind them,
11:53discovering that Paul had stopped covering the blood because he had killed the monster from the chimney.
11:57Paul takes Charlotte's gun and begins to shoot down to hit the creatures below,
12:02but the horde is huge and soon appear in the hallway, running towards them.
12:06Paul strikes first to challenge them to a duel, and the difficulty is that most of the monsters fall through the floor.
12:11Several monsters manage to survive, but the teenagers kill them before they can hurt Paul, who is impressed by the teamwork of the three.
12:19After that, the three teenagers and Rocco run to the freezer.
12:22Instead of following them, Paul closes the door and leaves to buy them time.
12:26The group hides in the freezer while Paul remembers the day when he firmly held his babies, telling them that everything would be fine.
12:32A new horde of creatures falls inside, Paul and Hamed's pile of furniture finally explodes, causing the whole house to collapse and burn.
12:41The freezer starts to shake and continues to move for a few minutes,
12:45when the teenagers finally stop, go out and desperately look for the collapse in search of Paul, just to jump out of the monster.
12:52The group runs towards the car and drives on, while the chase is covered with fire.
12:57Charlotte and Matthew do not hit anything, so when the monster approaches, he hits him with a gun and runs away.
13:02A few miles later, the group stops the car and looks at the stars, which they had never seen before because they were always inside at night.
13:09The next morning, the group returns home and decides not to rebuild the same place.
13:14After they have collected all the remains they could find, they bury all their loved ones and say goodbye.
13:19After that, the three teenagers and Rocco leave the house by car, hoping to find a new home on the farms down in the valley.
