00:04are five things to do this week across East Lancashire.
00:09First up is the River Valley Taste Fest, which is a week-long programme of events at various
00:14locations across the valley, including Clitheroe and Worley.
00:19The festival is the highlight of the foodie calendar, which aims to highlight the wonderful
00:24and unique food and drink experiences in the area.
00:28There will also be tasting experiences, brewery tours and visits to farms and food venues.
00:35Next up is Aussie Fest 2024, which will be running from Friday 8th to Sunday 11th.
00:44Taking place across multiple bars and pubs across Ausselswissel, the festival aims to
00:49showcase the very best in local musical talent, all in an effort to raise funds to provide
00:55hundreds of children with music tuition.
01:00Also being held this week is some Circus Skills Workshops in Burnley.
01:06On Friday, from 11am until 3pm, the workshop will take place in the undercover area of
01:13Charter Walk, as people can step into the mesmerising world of circus arts.
01:20Attendees will be able to learn from school professionals who will reveal the captivating
01:24tricks of the trade.
01:28Taking place this Friday is the Night School at Clitheroe Castle.
01:33From 10am until 3pm, you can take part in an archery contest, test your skill with a
01:40medieval catapult and even handle weapons and armour from that era.
01:46After you've graduated from the night school, the fun continues in the museum, where the
01:51castle themed competition hunt and lots to see across 10 galleries in the castle.
01:59And finally, a friendship and ice cream themed show called Scrumptious will be coming to
02:05Blackburn Central Library this Wednesday.
02:09Taking place at 11am, families can arrive earlier to enjoy some ice cream themed activities
02:15before sitting down to watch the show, which features hilarious songs, dancing, storytelling
02:22and gentle audience participation for the whole family.
