00:00That's the story of Vel Custodio.

00:04Two police officers were killed after a lawyer and three of his associates were found inside a private subdivision

00:11in Barangay Maitim, Second Central, Tagaytay, City, Cavite around 2 p.m. yesterday.

00:17The reason for the shooting was a fight on the ground.

00:21They were looking for a property to procure.

00:26At the gate, they were not allowed to enter.

00:33But they were forced to enter.

00:37There was an altercation at the gate.

00:40Police Captain Adrian Binalay of CIDG-NCR and Police Captain Tomas Ganyo Batarao Jr. of Calamba Police Station

00:50and three of their fellow civilians were there, including the guardian of the subdivision.

00:55The owner of the subdivision was also there.

00:57They were supposed to go to Lupa.

00:59His son was also there with the police to go to Lupa subdivision and a broker of Lupa.

01:06Upon arriving at the area of the supposedly property that they were looking for,

01:12one of our suspects suddenly disappeared.

01:17Suddenly, one of our suspects, Atty. Ted, was with him.

01:23The lawyer of the so-called private subdivision was informed by the legal counsel.

01:28Another guardian, a retired sheriff, was also with the lawyer.

01:32That's when the suspects and the police lost.

01:36All of our victims ran away.

01:40Eventually, our alleged suspect went down.

01:45There was a short altercation.

01:51Suddenly, our police shot him.

01:53According to the fellow civilians, the lawyer first shot him.

01:59After the gunshot, Police Captain Binalay was dead on the spot

02:04while Police Captain Batarao Jr. was dead on arrival.

02:08Their lawyer was also dead on arrival when he was shot.

02:11A gun was recovered from the side of the lawyer's vehicle.

02:15The two police officers were already at the police station.

02:18We tried to talk to the victims' relatives but they refused.

02:23The two guardian suspects who are now facing a murder case refused to talk to the media

02:28while the police were looking for another salary.

02:32The investigation of SOCO and the backtracking of the police in the CCTV continued.
