00:43Hello, welcome to From the South, I'm Ana Marrero from the Telesur headquarters in Caracas,
00:50Venezuela.
00:52Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro met this Monday with the five generations of the Bolivarian
01:09Revolution at the Miraflores Palace.
01:11The meeting was held in the context of what was called the Generations Data Space to debate
01:16ideas focused on the task of the Bolivarian Revolution for the future and to discuss
01:21the challenges for the materialization of the plan of the homeland for the so-called
01:26seven transformations.
01:27During the meeting, Maduro highlighted the potential of Chávez's ideas for social unity,
01:32both within the revolutionary process and the South American country, and proudly declared
01:38that he is the first Chávez president and that he expects to hand over power to a Chávez
01:43and Bolivarian president.
01:44Chávez vaccinated us with the best vaccine against betrayal, with the best vaccine of
01:56loyalty, the Bolivarianism of the 21st century, and we have always been asked, what is Chavismo?
02:03And I was saying it now in the pilgrimage, Chavismo is the original Bolivarianism with
02:08a project of the 21st century or for the 21st century.
02:21And I used to tell people that if that interpretation was very intellectual, Chavismo is the greatest
02:26love that a people can feel for its history and for its right to the future, that is Chavismo.
02:36The Venezuelan president emphasized that Chavismo is at its best with conscientious
02:41peoples immune to betrayal.
02:47We are already vaccinated with pure Bolivarianism and we have several booster vaccines against
02:52destructive and divisive viruses that has made Chavismo an unassailable and indestructible
03:02force, because Chavismo at this moment in history can say it is vaccinated against treason,
03:15against divisionism and is an unassailable fortress of a conscious people.
03:23Also this Monday the Public Ministry of Venezuela issued an arrest warrant for former presidential
03:28candidate Edmundo González Urrutia.
03:30The arrest warrant specifies the alleged commission of crimes of usurpation of functions punishable
03:36under Article 213.
03:39For a jury of public documents provided for an unpunishable order under Article 319.
03:48Instigation to disobey the law punishable under Article 283.
03:53Conspiracy provided for a punishment by Article 132 of the Penal Code.
03:59Damage of system damaged punished by Article 7 of the Computer Crimes.
04:04Association provided for a punishment by Article 37 of the Organic Law against organized crimes
04:11and financing of terrorism.
04:24In official communique issued also this Monday Venezuela accused the government of the United
04:29States of illegally confiscating an aircraft used by President Nicolás Maduro.
04:35In the document the South American nation said that the action was a repeat criminal
04:39practice that cannot be qualified as anything of other than piracy of illegally confiscated
04:47an aircraft that has been used by the President of the Republic.
04:50The text also signaled that these actions reveals that no state and no constitutional
04:55government is safe from illegal actions that disregard international law.
05:00It also added that the United States has already demonstrated that it has used its economic
05:05and military might to intimidate and put pressure on states such as the Dominican Republic to
05:11surrender as accomplices in its crime actions.
05:15It continues by saying that this is an example of the so-called rules-based order which disregarding
05:22international law seeks to establish the law of the strongest, create rules that suit its
05:27interests and enforce them with total impunity.
05:32Finally, the document affirmed that the Bolivar Republic of Venezuela reserves the right to
05:37take any legal actions to repair this damage to the nation as well as all other damages
05:42caused by the criminal policy of unilateral courts and measures and finished by its sentencing
05:48that Venezuela respects itself and continues to firmly defend its dignity and sovereignty.
06:11In Argentina, President Javier Millet vetoed on Monday the Pension Mobility Law after it
06:16was approved by the country's Senate.
06:18Faced by lawmakers, social and political organizations who regard this agreement, Millet justified
06:24his decision by pointing out that the initiative does not contemplate the fiscal impact of
06:29the measure nor does it determine the source of its financing.
06:34After the veto, the law must return to Congress where both chambers must reach a two-third
06:39majority in order to reject the President's decision and force the executive to approve
06:44the deal.

06:59Welcome back to From the South.
07:10The Peruvian government announced on Friday a law favoring perpetrators of crimes against
07:15humanity.
07:16Currently, relatives of victims fell outrage to all international organizations rejected.
07:23Around 600 cases involving 550 victims are being dismissed, including former President
07:28Alberto Fujimori.
07:29Therefore, the United Nations, along with the Inter-American Court of Human Rights strongly
07:35oppose to the regulation.
07:43We've been looking for justice for 33 years and I don't think we're going to get it because
07:47they always favor the murderers, they are the ones benefiting.
07:54We feel that these struggles of the relatives, not only of the historical cases, if you like,
07:59from 1980 to 2000, but also of the most recent cases of human rights violations, are increasingly
08:05being defended only by the family or the lawyers.
08:07There is no social support that, in some way, denounces what we are experiencing here and
08:12the damage that impunity means for our democratic society.
08:19What the law aims to do is to archive any type of investigation or judicial process,
08:24and even annul any convictions that have been made as a result of the classification
08:28of the cases as crimes against humanity.
08:47Moving on, the United Nations denounced that Israel has destroyed 70% of schools in Gaza
08:52run by the Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East.
08:57In this way, the UN authorities confirmed that in this context of the Israeli outlawed
09:03mass of the schools has been the purpose to cure the 40,000 Palestinian refugees displaced
09:09by the conflict.
09:10The UN added that more than 600,000 children are missing school due to the destruction
09:15of schools.
09:43We live in terror and fear for the children.
09:46In addition to the fact that we have infants in the building who have no milk or diapers,
09:51no bread, no food for the rest of the residents, no one dares to go out.
09:56Because there is a sniper in the building who shoots at anything he sees, I went out
10:01at a risk.
10:02I walked close to the wall so that the sniper would not see me in order to get here, in
10:07order to bring bread and water, water to drink.

11:36school, being the third incident when Ukrainian shellings affect directly educational centers
11:40in the province.

13:07highways, nearly 1,000 bridges, about 100 ports, 66,000 kilometers of power transmission
13:14and transformation lines, and 150,000 kilometers of backbone communication networks in various
13:20African countries.
13:21In terms of railways, projects such as the Kenya-Mombasa-Nairobi Railway, Ethiopia-Djibouti
13:27Railway and Nigeria-Lagos-Ibadan Railway constructed by Chinese enterprises have effectively helped
13:33Africa form a railway backbone network.
