00:00In the face of the arrest of Dismissed Mayor Alice Guo,

00:03President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured that the resolution of this case will be quick.

00:10The President also thanked the help of the authorities in Indonesia

00:14for successfully arresting the former mayor.

00:29following the arrest of Dismissed Mayor Alice Guo in Jakarta, Indonesia.

00:33Based on the information received by the President from the authorities,

00:37Guo was arrested early in the morning.

00:40The President introduced the efforts of the relevant government agencies

00:44following this development.

00:47I congratulate all law enforcement personnel who made this apprehension possible.

00:53The public may not know the intricate details of this mission

00:56that you have successfully accomplished.

00:59But on their behalf, accept my thanks.

01:01According to the President, it became easier for the Philippine government

01:05to arrest Guo because of the help of the Indonesian government.

01:10At the same time, the President's determination to punish those who are guilty.

01:15Let this serve as a warning to those who attempt to evade justice.

01:21Such is an exercise in futility.

01:30This government continues in its duty to apply the rule of law.
