Malaysia intends to strengthen regional centrality and neutrality so that more investments and trade will flow into the region, said Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz at the 17th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) on Tuesday (Sept 10).

01:11He said he is confident that with its growing prestige as a leading economy in the region,
01:16Malaysia has what it takes to engineer its second economic take-off.
01:21Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia, or ACCCIM President
01:27Tan Sri Low Kian Chuan, said Malaysia remains in a sweet spot to reassert itself as a compelling
01:33alternative location for foreign direct investors looking for diversification and reconfiguration
01:39of supply chains.
01:40He said investors can look into high-growth and high-value industries, including semiconductor,
01:46artificial intelligence, electric vehicle, data center, green investment and halal food.
01:53Organized by ACCCIM, the convention saw the participation of more than 4,000 local and

02:02The three-day event, which ends on Wednesday, is aimed at establishing an economic network
02:07linking Chinese entrepreneurs worldwide.
