00:00Let's watch the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival in Carbona, Cavite

00:05led by the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines Incorporated.

00:09Let's watch it.

00:12The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Mooncake Festival,

00:16is one of the important celebrations in the Chinese culture.

00:20This is the time when the whole family plays together,

00:25talks and celebrates.

00:28But even though this is a celebration from abroad,

00:31it is rare to see it being held here in the Philippines.

00:36Led by the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines Incorporated,

00:41the Taiwanese-Filipino community celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival in Carbona, Cavite.

00:48It's a time for people, especially family members, to reunite together.

00:55Just like the New Year or like your Christmas,

00:58so in Taiwan we celebrate the Moon Festival.

01:03And in here, in the Philippines,

01:07today we are so pleased to join all of our friends here to celebrate Moon Festival.

01:14I'd like to greet all the Taiwanese friends of the country.

01:18Congratulations and happiness all throughout the year

01:23and more fortunes to come.

01:25And in the meantime, also, I would like to invite all the other Taiwanese to take a look at our country.

01:31They also expressed their support and encouragement through the Philippine and Taiwan governments.

01:37We have some new projects, especially in the field of agriculture.

01:44Like the current project we already have is the Young Farmers Project.

01:51For the past three years, we offer 50 Filipino young farmers every year to Taiwan for 11-month on-site training.

02:01But because the demand is very high, so from this year we started to increase to 100 people.

02:10So this year, already 50 Filipino young farmers departed for Taiwan in July.

02:18So they will stay in Taiwan for 11 months according to their interest to different farms,

02:25including fruit farms or aqua farms, you know, a lot of different choices.

02:30This festival is a reminiscence of the relationship between the Taiwanese and the Filipinos.

02:40We are respecting our relationship with them.

02:44And these people, they are good, very good in terms of human relation.

02:53Through this celebration, we continue to strengthen the friendship and unity of people in different parts of the world.
