00:00Hi, I'm digital reporter Amy Seddon, and the campaign for Real Ale, best known as CAMRA,
00:07has announced the 17 regional winners of its Pub With The Year 2024 competition. Very soon,
00:14it will be whittling these 17 down to four for the UK National Pub With The Year award
00:18shortlist. Fighting it out, among 16 of the other best pubs in the UK, is the Preston
00:24Pub Black Horse. Located on Frigate, the Black Horse won the West Pennines category, and
00:30fingers crossed it's in for a chance at the National win too. In its description of the
00:35Black Horse, CAMRA said,
00:54Most noteworthy is the beautiful semi-circular ceramic bar, tiled walls and meticulous mosaic
01:00flooring throughout the pub. A seating area has been dubbed the Hall of Mirrors due to
01:05the impressive use of original stained glass. The Black Horse serves 10 hand pumps, including
01:11four changing guest beers from far and wide, plus a range of ciders. We at the Lancashire
01:16Post have our fingers crossed that Black Horse will make the National shortlist. Good luck!
