00:42The crown is yours.
00:44We had an amazing doubleheader of Monday Night Football and also a doubleheader of Mets Braves,
00:50but let's get to the football first.
00:53Jared Goff was perfect throwing the football.
00:5618 for 18, I think around 296 yards and three, no, two touchdowns and caught one touchdown.
01:03It was actually a great game.
01:04The Lions showed out.
01:05They actually, this is a Detroit team that can be very dangerous down the stretch.
01:09He didn't even give Goff the game ball afterwards.
01:11I know.
01:12He gave it to someone else.
01:13I think it was one of those things where it was just so automatic and Campbell's just
01:17going off emotions, not stats, that he's just like, ah, you played with your heart and that's
01:22who you gave the ball to, whereas Goff was just balling.
01:26Seahawks are pretty good too.
01:27Yeah.
01:28I think the 3-1 now.
01:29That was the first loss, right?
01:30So they've been pretty solid.
01:32And Jared Goff, the Lions, obviously for real, I did kind of unbridge with one thing you
01:36said.
01:37You said it was two great games.
01:38That Titans-Dolphins game was not great.
01:41Okay, I'll admit, I bet the Titans early when it was plus Moneyline-Liveline and it just
01:47ended up being a great game the rest of the stretch.
01:49You bet on the Titans.
01:50Yeah.
01:52It was a great game.
01:53The game itself, the competitive match between these two teams was horrific.
01:56I know.
01:57I actually, that was biased.
01:58I bet on the Titans.
02:00It is stunning to watch the Dolphins try to play football without, it's wild.
02:06Does Tyreke go back to the Chiefs?
02:07What do they do?
02:08Tyreke, Waddle, do you trade these guys?
02:10You just totally clear everything up?
02:12Do you loan the Chiefs in soccer?
02:15No.
02:16Or do you give them Waddle and Tyreke on a loaner?
02:20Not on a loan.
02:21On a tag?
02:22That would be pretty wild.
02:23But like, should the Dolphins be looking at draft capital now?
02:27The only problem was they just gave Tua a shitload of money not that long ago.
02:30I just don't get how the Dolphins can't, they gotta trade, they gotta trade for someone.
02:34There's someone serviceable out there.
02:35If they had Mike White, remember Mike White?
02:36Yeah.
02:37I feel like Mike White could probably be better than what they've got right now.
02:39But what's that gonna get you?
02:40It's gonna get you like seven wins.
02:41You know what would be crazy?
02:42Sick.
02:43Actually, this is psycho, but Zach Wilson, actually.
02:46Honestly, yeah.
02:47Might be Zach Wilson outside of the Jets.
02:51I mean, look at Geno Smith.
02:53Look at...
03:00Look at Geno Smith.
03:01Look at Sam Darnold.
03:02I mean, I think Zach Wilson has way better arm talent than any of those.
03:06Not the best decision making, but as we saw those guys on the Jets, now have some time,
03:09throw them on the Dolphins.
03:10Just have them throw it up to Tua all the time or just throw check downs to Tua.
03:15I mean, to Tyreke.
03:17That could make something.
03:18I fully agree with you.
03:19I want to be on the Zach Wilson to Miami train now.
03:23I mean, I think, because just like, look at Sam Darnold.
03:26Look at Geno Smith.
03:27Sam Darnold has better arm talent than Zach Wilson does.
03:29Zach Wilson can do stuff with the ball that Sam Darnold can't.
03:33That's just...
03:34I just didn't see it.
03:36Well, you didn't see it live, but...
03:38Sam Darnold was a guy that never had any tools, right?
03:42Never had an offensive line, never had wide receivers.
03:43Finally has those things.
03:44He's starting to look very successful.
03:47Playing our Jets on Sunday morning.
03:50I know.
03:51It's going to be a revenge game.
03:52It's going to be bad.
03:53On the flip side, Zach Wilson stinks.
03:54I know.
03:55Look, I'm just squatting.
03:56I didn't even make the bronc.
03:57Bo Nix starts over.
03:59Bo Nix isn't even that good, but who knows?
04:02We'll move on.
04:03Will Levis, huge fan of Will Levis.
04:06I don't know what's going on with him.
04:08If you looked at him on the sidelines, he was tweaking out.
04:11Did you see him?
04:13It looked like he took a shit ton of beta alanine or pre-workout and he was just literally
04:19itching himself the whole time.
04:21After he even got taken out, someone's got to check on him.
04:23If he's got hit wrong.
04:25Yeah, he threw a pretty bad pick in the beginning of the game and then he was trying to make
04:30a play, dive for the first down.
04:32He's a competitor.
04:33That's what I love about him.
04:34He plays with heart.
04:35Hurt his shoulder.
04:37Someone check in on him.
04:38I think he's got a long NFL career in front of him.
04:41If he's able to get some of the rookie jitters out.
04:44It's a lot of these guys who are thrown in early and then just end up getting blown up
04:49early in their career and then they find success later.
04:52I mean, I don't know about you guys, but I want to see him succeed.
04:56Yeah, I'm a Levis fan.
04:57I like Levis a lot.
04:58Also, this is kind of his real rookie year.
04:59He didn't play all year last year, obviously, but like half of the year.
05:03I'm a fan of Levis.
05:04I mean, if you have a bad offensive lineman, you're going to suck at just how Levis works.
05:07It's so situational.
05:09Is the problem Levis or is the problem the team?
05:10I don't know if Levis is going to ever be a great quarterback, but is he a confident one?
05:14I don't know.
05:15He's not right now.
05:16He's not on this team.
05:17Moving on to the Mets.
05:20So did they win the first game?
05:22They had to win one of those games to make the playoffs.
05:24Correct.
05:25And the Braves need one of those games to make the playoffs.
05:26Correct.
05:27Do you think that they made a deal?
05:28So they both make the playoffs?
05:29No.
05:30But it's not like that.
05:31So the Diamonds were fucked no matter what because the Mets won the first game.
05:34Thrilling game.
05:35Incredible game.
05:36But whoever lost that first game was going to win the second because the second the Mets
05:40won, they put in all the scrubs and they clogged some of the minor leagues to start
05:44the game.
05:45They didn't care about winning the game.
05:46So just like if the Mets had lost the first game, they probably would have won the second
05:49because the Braves would have played all their bench players.
05:51So the Diamondbacks were kind of fucked no matter what happened last night.
05:55Yeah.
05:56Hey, that's baseball.
05:57I mean, the Diamondbacks also blew a seven-game lead this month.
05:59They had a seven-game lead over the Mets this month and they blew it.
06:01So I'm not going to cry too much for the Diamondbacks, even though yesterday was kind of a disservice.
06:06Other than that, come on.
06:07Also, if you're a grown man that was getting mad at the Mets and Braves for celebrating
06:10together, you're a crazy person.
06:11Yeah, I don't...
06:12You're a crazy person.
06:13If you're over 15 years old and that got you annoyed, you're a crazy person.
06:16I couldn't agree more.
06:17Why does...
06:18They're all friends now.
06:19Who gives a shit?
06:20It's not like it's fucking Yankees-Red Sox 2003.
06:24What was that game that if they tied, they would have both made the playoffs?
06:28It was the Chargers and the...
06:30I remember that.
06:31Yes.
06:32Was it the Chargers and the Rams?
06:33Ken Jack might remember that.
06:34And they almost tied in like the craziest occasions of two overtimes.
06:36Raiders?
06:37Raiders.
06:38Ken Jack's saying Raiders.
06:40It was the wildest thing.
06:41And you almost thought there was some...
06:43It was because someone went for it on fourth down.
06:45It was like the prisoner's dilemma.
06:46They were like, oh fuck, they're not down to just make this tie happen.
06:50We have to try to score right now because they're trying to get us out.
06:54It was such a crazy ending to a game.
06:56I kind of felt the same vibes from this Mets Braves.
06:59So moving on, we have Pete Rose, unfortunately passed away.
07:07Does his death sort of open up a path to the Hall of Fame for him?
07:11Yeah, it is so crazy to see all the people tweeting, he technically got a lifetime ban.
07:15People are saying his lifetime ban is now over, so he shouldn't put him in.
07:19It's crazy.
07:20I don't think so, though.
07:21I mean, I think Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame, but you can't put him in after
07:23he's dead now.
07:24That's ridiculous.
07:25Well, he had a lifetime ban.
07:26He's...
07:27I know, but...
07:28So did Joshua Jackson.
07:29Joshua Jackson is still ineligible.
07:30Yeah, they should have reverted his lifetime ban while he was still alive.
07:33I don't know about that.
07:34Pete Rose, scumbag.
07:36If you don't believe me, go look him up.
07:39Look up some of the stuff that he's done.
07:41Also, did admit to betting as a player, as well as a manager.
07:45So I mean, Pete Rose, not a great guy.
07:49Even goes beyond the game when you want to talk really bad guys.
07:51I don't know if there's a pathway there because of some of the off the field stuff is so heinous
07:54and so horrible that's been alleged that I don't know if there is a pathway, honestly.
08:00Well, moving on.
08:02Different than sports.
08:03There's a weird story coming out of Montana.
08:05Basically a mad scientist type guy, he's 81 years old.
08:11He cloned and then hybridized two types of bighorn sheep and now he's in prison for it.
08:17So if you've been hearing a lot of celebrities, they clone their dogs or they clone Dolly
08:22the sheep.
08:23This guy bred game animals for game preserves around the United States.
08:28You can go shoot a zebra or a giraffe in Texas on a game preserve if you wanted to.
08:35So this guy was breeding bighorn sheep and what he did, this is wild, so there's this
08:40type of huge bighorn sheep in Mongolia called the Marco Polo bighorn sheep, which is the
08:46biggest in the world.
08:47They're like 400 pounds.
08:48They're the ones with the curly ears that look like, the curly horns that look like
08:52the Rams logo and they're like the biggest ones in the world and he wanted to bring them
08:56to the United States, but he basically found a loophole by taking testicular tissue from
09:02the sheep in Mongolia and then using it to hybridize with a bighorn sheep in the United
09:09States and he thought he'd basically like circumnavigate all these crazy wildlife laws
09:15and create this super hybrid bighorn sheep that you could hunt in the United States and
09:20they were just like, dude, you need to go to jail.
09:22This is too much.
09:23I'm good for jail for that.
09:24I mean, if you could do that, what else can you do?
09:28I think we should probably stop the line at being able to make our own animals.
09:33Yeah.
09:34Let nature handle that one.
09:35We don't got to make our own super animals.
09:37Yeah.
09:38That's a little too much for me.
09:39And now all these sheep they're saying have to all be slaughtered because they're like
09:42super sheep and it's kind of fucked up.
09:45Do they look crazy?
09:46Yeah.
09:47I mean, there's no pictures that have been released because it was an ongoing investigation,
09:50but I really would like to see one of these.
09:51Why would they have to be slaughtered?
09:52They're giant mutant sheep, bighorn sheep.
09:54So why do they need to be slaughtered?
09:56Because they're crimes against nature, according to the government.
10:00Look up Marco Polo sheep.
10:02These things are like jacked like a pit bull and they got horns like they look like mutant
10:10devil sheep.
10:11So we need to kill them.
10:12I know.
10:13I mean, hey, U.S. government guys only get in six months because they think he's going
10:17to die in prison because he's 81 years old.
10:20So it's his life's work.
10:22Montana seems like a wild place.
10:23I got a wedding there in a few weeks, so I'm excited to see some nature.
10:26Wild West.
10:27But I want to see the authentic nature, not man-made nature, you know?
10:30You want to see like, what do they have in Montana?
10:32Is that the geyser?
10:33No, geysers, geysers.
10:34Yeah.
10:35Yeah.
10:36I mean, yellowstone.
10:37A lot of libertarians, they're getting a little wild west even in the genetic front.
10:42Crazy stuff.
10:43Moving on.
10:45The baseball playoffs start today.
10:46It's the wild card round.
10:48Our Mets are taking on the Brewers.
10:51Probably coming out, probably games going on right when this gets released.
10:54You also have the Orioles facing off.
10:58You have the Royals playing today as well.
11:00A lot of national games, Braves, Padres.
11:03So it's going to be an interesting, interesting set of games.
11:06What do you think of the World Series champion, Clemmer?
11:09I like Phillies and Orioles, maybe?
11:14I don't know.
11:15The Orioles haven't been playing very well, but I still kind of believe in them.
11:16Very northeast pick of you.
11:18I know.
11:1983 World Series redux.
11:20I feel like the Phillies are really good.
11:21I feel much more confident in the Phillies than anyone in the American League, if that
11:24makes any sense.
11:25Really?
11:26Yeah.
11:27Over the Yankees?
11:28The Yankees are pretty fucking good.
11:29The Yankees are good.
11:30The Yankees are pretty good.
11:31The Yankees are good.
11:32Are you a Yankee fan?
11:33I'm a huge Yankee fan.
11:34I usually get into the Yankees more later in the season, because it's a long season.
11:39I'll be honest.
11:40I have not watched the Mets at all this year.
11:41Really?
11:42No.
11:43Why?
11:44Because they've been pretty good?
11:45I don't know.
11:46I just really haven't been watching.
11:47I'm a casual.
11:48I'll admit it when it comes to baseball.
11:49I go to games in the beginning of the season.
11:52It's spring.
11:53It's fun.
11:54Then I'm like, okay, they're good.
11:55They're winning.
11:56Then I drop off in the middle of the summer, because it's July 4th.
11:59I get back to it at the end of the summer, early fall, when football starts.
12:03I'm like, oh, how are the Yankees doing?
12:04Then it's like, oh, they're going to make the playoffs.
12:06Then I'm all the way in.
12:07Yeah.
12:08As I've grown, I've really only just become a really big Ranger fan.
12:10Outside of that, Mets and Giants are definitely going lower in my rankings.
12:15I mean, it's just hard.
12:16It is hard.
12:17It is.
12:18You get older.
12:20No, it's more just like when you're not getting consistent.
12:23Yankees haven't been good since 2009, really.
12:25They've been good.
12:26They've been good and on, but they've let down.
12:27They haven't been in the World Series.
12:28Yeah.
12:29They haven't been in the World Series since then.
12:30Oh, another team to watch out for is the Astros.
12:32They face off against the Orioles today.
12:33The Astros have been playing fantastic since June.
12:36That could be a team that could go to the World Series.
12:37I saw they left Verlander off the roster.
12:39His neck's all fucked up.
12:41He says, I don't know how I'm going to do from start to start.
12:44He's been horrible since coming off the I.L.
12:45I'm not surprised he left Verlander off.
12:47I think he's too risky right now.
12:48I mean, Astros team's pretty good.
12:51Well, a lot to go.
12:54So...
12:55Oh, also Mountain Strong t-shirts.
12:57Buy those.
12:58Yes.
12:59That we have on sale at the Barstool store.
13:00Yeah.
13:01For the people in Western North Carolina.
13:03Terrible stuff.
13:06That's our rundown.
