00:00Good morning. A cold weekend. Tomorrow morning there will be colder than this
00:05morning. Quite a lot of cloud around today actually and many of us seeing
00:08some outbreaks of rain. A bit of a patchy zone of rain over the Midlands, North
00:13East England. That'll push down towards the South East. Heavier and more
00:16persistent rain across the West of Scotland and Northern Ireland spreading
00:19into Southern Scotland and across the East of Northern Ireland as we go
00:23through the morning. By this afternoon that cropping up across Northwest
00:26England and North Wales. There's that rain heading towards East Anglia and the
00:29South East. Shouldn't be too heavy but damp for a time here. Then we've got a slice of
00:34sunnier weather over parts of the Midlands and the southwest this
00:37afternoon. It should also turn brighter in Northern Scotland later on but look
00:41at where the winds are coming from. Straight down from the north. So yes
00:44there will be some snow on the tops of the Scottish mountains. Bear that in mind
00:47if you are heading to the hills today and bear in mind the wind chill as well.
00:52Temperatures only seven or eight degrees at best. Feeling quite a lot colder with
00:56that wind. Further south when it brightens up we might squeak into the
00:59mid-teens perhaps but it's going to turn colder here through the night and during
01:04tomorrow. The bounds of showery rain continue to drift southwards. So still
01:08one or two heavier bursts over North East England, East and Scotland tonight
01:11if you're heading out. But that rain should tend to ebb away even from the
01:16coast of North East England through the early hours. And then with clearing skies
01:20and the air coming down from the north it's going to turn quite chilly. One or
01:24two mist and fog patches likely across parts of Northern Scotland. And yes that
01:28blue hue on the map that's a frost. Temperatures dipping down below freezing
01:32in rural spots for sure. Many towns and cities across the north pretty close to
01:37zero as well. It's not quite as cold further south. A bit more cloud here but
01:41even here it will be a chilly old start to tomorrow morning. But generally
01:46tomorrow a dry and a bright day. We should have quite a bit of sunshine once
01:50any morning mist and fog has cleared. But quite quickly I think we'll see high
01:54cloud drifting in from the west. So sunshine is going to turn fairly hazy
01:58pretty rapidly and that cloud continuing to thicken through the day. May see one
02:03or two showers getting into the west coast of Scotland. But by and large it
02:07will be a dry and a fine day tomorrow. But it is going to be chilly because
02:11this cloud is coming in preventing much sunshine getting through. Temperatures
02:15are going to really struggle. Look at these numbers. 8, 9, 10 degrees at best
02:19for many. We might just get into the teens in the southwest. But that'll be
02:24probably quite late in the day. So yes it is going to feel quite cold tomorrow
02:28despite most places staying dry and bright. And despite the winds being
02:32fairly light as well. We are going to see though those temperatures as I said
02:35below average for the time of year. Quite a bit below in many places. So
02:40feeling pretty chilly on Sunday. High pressure in for Sunday. That's why it's a
02:45dry day. But then we're going to see a big change as weather fronts come
02:49marching in from the Atlantic. And look at where the winds are coming from. By
02:53Tuesday coming up from the south. So that will bring much milder air with it. If we
02:58rewind the clock those cold northerly winds that set in through Saturday and
03:03bring the chilly start to Sunday will be replaced as the high pressure drifts
03:08across. Look at the milder air wafting up. So quite a switch as we go into the
03:12early part of next week. It will be turning quite a bit warmer by Monday and
03:16Tuesday. Lots going on as always. So why don't you stay up to date by following us
