00:00Hello, it was a chilly start this morning with temperatures last night getting down
00:04to 0.8 across parts of Aberdeenshire. But generally speaking, temperatures this morning
00:09not quite as low as they were Sunday morning. So there was a good deal of dry weather across
00:14the country at the moment and that is thanks to an area of high pressure. And over the
00:18coming days, that high pressure will gradually move eastwards as cloud and rain approaches
00:23from the north and west later in the week, but back to Monday. So largely cloudy across
00:28much of the country, with a few outbreaks of light rain and drizzle here and there,
00:33although to be honest, you'll be fairly unlucky to catch any of those. Temperatures
00:38generally around average for the time of year, with highs of 18 or 19 across parts of the
00:43south and 17 across parts of Scotland. So those dry conditions continue into Monday
00:51afternoon and evening, with further outbreaks of light rain and drizzle quickly clearing
00:55southwards by midnight. And that cloud also starting to break up across the west, and
01:02where we do see some clearer spells developing, overnight temperatures just dipping into single
01:07figures, though most places staying in double figures overnight. So it's a cloudy but
01:13dry start to Tuesday morning, but that cloud breaking up a little bit more readily, so
01:19generally a slightly brighter day developing during the course of the afternoon. And those
01:24brighter conditions will have an impact on temperatures, with temperatures rising into
01:28the 19 or 20 degree mark across the south and 18 across parts of Scotland. And looking
01:34a little bit further into the week, so remaining largely dry and settled at first, but cloud
01:39and rain will move erratically south and eastwards later in the week. And with some chilly starts,
01:45temperatures generally rise into close to average during the course of the days. Thank
01:51you for listening and bye for now.
