00:00Hello and welcome to your latest forecast from here at the Met Office. We see the
00:04end of the heat today but that will be replaced by some heavy and thundery
00:07showers over the next couple of days. That's because we've lost our high
00:10pressure, it's been replaced with low pressure and those fronts associated
00:13with that will become a focus for the heavy thundery rain as we head into the
00:17beginning of the new week. We have some warnings out today, it's the last of the
00:21extreme heat warning across England and Wales and to the north across Northern
00:24Ireland and Scotland we have thunderstorm warnings out for some
00:27locally heavy downpours with some frequent lightning and hail as well so
00:31those thundery showers will continue to move their way across Northern Ireland
00:34and Scotland through this afternoon. For the rest of the UK there was another dry
00:38fine day with lots of sunshine around with temperatures once again peaking in
00:42the mid 30s Celsius. As we head into this evening that heavy thundery rain will
00:47continue to work its way further south and east edging its way into Wales and
00:52North West England as it does so. Out to where there was a dry night with clear
00:55skies but it will again be very warm and muggy bringing some difficult sleeping
00:59conditions particularly for those in the south and the east. On Monday that heavy
01:04thundery rain will then spread its way across the whole of the UK through the
01:08day. As a result we have thunderstorm warnings across the whole of the country
01:12again we'll see frequent lightning and hail at times with some localised
01:15flooding still remaining warm in the southeast corner but temperatures easing
01:19from the last few days. With all the warnings about you should keep up to
01:23date with the latest forecast via our social media and I will speak to you
01:27again soon.
