00:00Hello there, and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday. It was a muggy night last
00:05night across England and Wales, fresher across the western side of Scotland, most of us though
00:09waking up to some sunshine. Now, high pressure remains in charge today, so quiet weather,
00:14very warm or hot, but then later on you can see here, this is a maturing area of low pressure,
00:20it's relatively deep for this time of year, delivering more clouds, some showery bursts
00:24of rain, and some fresher air from the west through Thursday and into Friday. And then
00:28the winds pick up some strength on Friday morning. It's a quiet start though this morning,
00:33more clouds across the eastern side of Scotland, and even a little bit of patchy rain. Brighter
00:38skies further west, as well as for Northern Ireland, you'll have a bright start. And some
00:42lovely sunshine coming through for the bulk of England and Wales, but notice along this
00:46eastern strip here, low clouds and even some mist and murk, and a similar situation down
00:51towards Devon and Cornwall. However, this will tend to break up and burn back as we
00:57head through today. So, for most places, it's a dry day with some sunny spells. Notice
01:03this cloud along this eastern side of Scotland, it's fairly stubborn, but it will break at
01:08times. And in fact, as the sun gets to work, we could see one or two isolated but heavy
01:12showers across Scotland through the afternoon. It's a fine morning across Northern Ireland,
01:18the cloud breaking up here, and some lovely weather coming through across England and
01:22Wales. Sunshine turning a bit hazy across the northwest of Scotland, and certainly
01:27this cloud here may even produce a little showery rain through the afternoon. Now, temperatures
01:32today will reach 26 to 30, 31, anywhere from mid-Wales down towards the southeast. For
01:39Scotland and Northern Ireland, it's 21, 22, helped with some sunshine. However, through
01:44evening time, we hang on to drier weather across England and Wales before this bank
01:49of showery rain extends across Scotland, moves in across Wales, the west country, and
01:53northwest England. But notice into Thursday morning, it does weaken all the while. So,
01:58it's hazy sunshine as we start the day across more central and eastern areas of England
02:04and Wales. Some showery rain always across more western parts, and it could be quite
02:09moderate in places across more northern and northeastern areas of Scotland with a stronger
02:13wind here. Now, the wind will be a feature of the weather later on Thursday elsewhere,
02:19and through the day, one or two showery bursts can't be ruled out, anywhere from the spine
02:23of England, northern England, down towards the midlands, central southern England. We
02:26hang on to the heat, though, anywhere from the midlands, eastwards, 26, 27 degrees Celsius.
02:32And your outlook through Friday. Notice the temperatures are a good few degrees lower.
02:36There will be some sunshine around. It's going to be windy in the north with some showers.
