00:00For many, Penang is the undisputed home of nasi kandar, but did you know that restaurant
00:14Langka Puri in Port Klang, Selangor is also known for this Malaysian favourite?
00:20This eatery dates back to the 1960s and is run by brothers Syed Abdul Razza Ahmad Kabir
00:27and Syed Salamuddin Ahmad Kabir, the grandsons of the founder.
00:32A common sight during lunch hours are long queues at its entrance.
00:37Here one will find the classic setup of a counter displaying various side dishes from
00:42chicken and beef to mutton and seafood.
00:45But what makes Langka Puri's nasi kandar so special?
00:49The rice is served with lashings of curry, chicken, beef, mutton and more, the mix of
01:16which results in a wonderful balance of flavours.
01:20As for side dishes, the fried chicken is a good choice, it's juicy on the inside and
01:25crispy on the outside.
01:27The mutton curry is another tasty option, the meat served in a thick aromatic gravy
01:32is a tender delight.
01:35Pair your food with a good old cup of teh tare or teh ice and you'll probably be tempted
