00:00What's up guys, today we'll be unboxing the Xiaomi 13T. I want to thank them for sending this out to us early.
00:06We have the Xiaomi 12T which we can do a comparison with that I really liked last year.
00:13So the 13T here, let's check it out.
00:18All right. So what I like about Xiaomi is that they actually put stuff in the box.
00:23These days you don't get anything in the box. So you get a nice gel skin case.
00:30And here's the phone with a really nice redesign.
00:35This is the green.
00:43Looks really nice.
00:48Yeah, this one looks much much better this year.
00:52Really really nice looking. I really like this green color.
00:56Kind of like a it's not like super super green. It's kind of like a like a mint green.

01:04It's they call it metal green. This is the 8 gig 256 gigabyte model.
01:11And as always this is what I love about Xiaomi phones. You get the fast charger in the box.
01:18Which it's just it's just really nice guys not having to buy the fast charger.
01:23It does 67 watt fast charging as well to via USB type-c, of course. And yeah, absolutely
01:32awesome.
01:33So this one's got the glass back and the metal sides on it, and it just looks really good.
01:39I really like how they did the cameras this year. And let's go ahead and boot this guy on.
01:46Pretty comfortable to hold as well. We got those curved edges.
01:50And yeah, so let's just get into this one. Let's get this plastic off.

02:08All right, so let's talk about the display on here. It's a 6.67 inch display. It's 12 20 by 27 12.
02:16And then you also have a
02:19446 for the PPI. It's got the punch hole. It's a completely flat panel as well, too.
02:24And I think what's pretty cool about this phone is that it's got
02:30144 Hertz, so it has a really instant feeling
02:34display.
02:36It's just really really smooth panel. Everything feels like super
02:40instant. So that's one thing that I think is really cool about this phone.
02:44So it's got HDR 10 plus, and then it's also got
02:482600 nits peak brightness on this guy. So this thing is super super bright.
02:53I want to take it outdoors and compare it to like an S23 Ultra or the
02:58iPhone 15 Pro Max so you guys can see the difference there, but it's a really really bright phone.
03:03It wasn't super sunny outside today, so I wasn't able to really see it that well, but
03:09hopefully tomorrow we'll be able to get a look at that. But yeah, it's a really really, you know,
03:15it's a really really nice panel, and it's super super bright.
03:18So let's talk about these specs a little bit more here.
03:21So this phone is running Android 13, MIUI 14, and then we also have on here the
03:28Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset on here, Mali-G
03:33610 GPU,
03:34256 gigs of internal storage, and 8 gigs of RAM. This is the score that you will get.
03:40You can see here how it compares. So almost on par with,
03:45let's see,
03:47it's kind of on par with like an S21 Ultra, and
03:52then for the multi-core score,
03:55you can see like, so it's on par with like I guess a Snapdragon triple
04:018-ish. It's kind of a little bit, it gives a little bit better score than that though.
04:06So it's like somewhere a little bit above like I guess a triple-a processor.
04:12But yeah, so it's a really really fast phone
04:15for the most part here, and actually let's go ahead and get into PUBG here.
04:19Now what's really nice about Xiaomi phones is that they're always like right out of the box compatible
04:26with 90 frames on PUBG. I'm starting to notice that, or maybe they just do it like, maybe that's something that they actually think about.
04:34But yeah, it's like right out the box always compatible. So like how we saw with the iPhone 15 Pro Max,
04:39it didn't get the, you know, PUBG 90 frames yet. It'll probably take a couple months, but
04:45these phones are almost always
04:47like right out the gate with 90 frames. So that's something I really like.
04:51One thing I've noticed with these Dimensity chips, and I actually just want to look, you know, further into this, even with the
04:58what was it, the A34?
05:01These phones tend to be pretty cool actually.
05:05Even when using the 15 Pro Max or the S23 Ultra, those phones will kind of get warm.
05:11I'm not saying that they like overheat and stuff like that,
05:13but I noticed these are some like some really cool
05:15phones. Like you rarely notice these phones like getting super warm and stuff like that, even when you're doing a little bit of gaming.
05:21But sometimes if I'm one like, just like the 15 Pro Max,
05:24I don't even have to be gaming. It just kind of gets a little bit warm.
05:29But yeah, so this phone, like right out the bat, is just gonna be great for gaming.
05:35Like I said, you saw the Geekbench score, so you can sort of tell what kind of performance you'll get.
05:40But it's phenomenal performance when it comes to gaming on these phones.
05:45So you really won't have any issue. There, you essentially will get, you know, flagship quality gaming.
05:51This phone has the stereo speakers. Let's go ahead and hear them.

06:13So pretty good speakers on here.
06:16Uh, plenty of bass and you get really good volume at the top speaker as well, too.
06:21The under the display fingerprint sensor, it does work.
06:24You can take advantage of face unlock as well, too. And this one is really fast. It's pretty instant.
06:30As far as like MIUI, there's not a ton of bloatware on here.

06:35really nothing too major. Like I think I didn't install Spotify.
06:40Uh, what else?
06:43There was something like booking.com. I didn't install that. Aliexpress. Um, so like a few applications, but not anything too
06:50crazy on here. Not like a ton of stuff on here. Um, also you have the Mi Remote.
06:54This is probably the most slept on feature.
06:57Um, just being able to have that IR blaster, uh with this phone is really really sweet.
07:03Or so you can control your TV, set-top box, smart box, fans, even projectors. It's really really cool guys.
07:11Uh, AB receivers, DVD players.
07:14Um, you can see even he says Chinese satellite TV.
07:18So cameras even, like it's really really cool to be able to control like all the TVs in my house with just
07:24like, you know, your smartphone. So you don't have to worry about,
07:27you know, remote control batteries and all that stuff.
07:31Um, so that's really cool.
07:33All right. So the cameras have been improved this year.
07:37So we do have a 50 megapixel standard and a 50 megapixel telephoto lens.
07:42We also have a 12 megapixel ultrawide on here.
07:45It only shoots in 4k 30 on the rear and then you also have a 20 megapixel selfie that shoots
07:51in 1080p 30. So you can see kind of where they cut the cost a little bit to, you know,
07:57different from the more expensive model. Uh, we have documents over here.
08:01We also have our pro mode over here so you can mess with the ISO and all that good stuff.
08:05Um, and then we also have your portrait night mode and then we have long exposure.
08:10We also have slow motion time-lapse and then to go into our full 50 megapixels. Um, the photos on here looked pretty good.
08:17Um for me, I was, you know, pretty impressed. A lot of you guys were actually pretty impressed.
08:21I really like the way Xiaomi is going.
08:24Um this year and you can see plenty of detail pretty good selfie cam, uh on here as well, too.
08:31A pretty good video. A lot of you guys were impressed with the Poco F5's
08:35um cameras and this pretty much has a pretty similar
08:39vibe to it as far as how the pictures come out. Pretty much the same image processing.
08:45A video on here looked pretty solid too, even though I really wish that it had like 4k 60
08:50or at least 1080 60 on the front cam.
08:53Um, but yeah, so, you know, it looks fine. Colors look fine. High dynamic range is pretty nice on here.
09:00Tons of detail.
09:01Overall, it's a pretty decent camera.
09:04So the most slept on feature with this phone, um, it's the charging setup man. 67 watts guys. 67 watts
09:13goes from 0 to
09:15142 minutes.
09:16Um, 5000 milliamp hour battery. So you're gonna get all day battery life and it just charges super fast.
09:22So if you're going somewhere and your phone is low,
09:25um, just being able to plug this in and, you know, in 10 minutes you get
09:30pretty significant amount of battery life back, uh, which is really awesome. So
09:35this phone does lack wireless charging though. So do note that. So it has these little cuts to it, but
09:41um, pretty strong processor. Really pretty design on here. Beautiful display.
09:47Uh, pretty good cameras on here. So overall a pretty solid phone. So what do you guys think?
