00:00What's up guys today, we're gonna be revisiting the Xiaomi 12t here. It got the Android 14 update
00:05So I wanted to take a look at this phone again. So it is still brand new like 429

00:22But yeah, so you can find these, you know online
00:25But they're gonna be shipping from overseas for the most part if you're not buying it
00:29Brand-new this is a phone that I really like especially, you know overseas Xiaomi is really big
00:34They're not super big here in the the USA, but Xiaomi's working on it
00:40they you know, they have their global thing and
00:42Yeah, so I really like this phone. It has really stood up. It got the Android 14 update still really smooth
00:49Some people just don't like Xiaomi's UI
00:53and I definitely understand some people say it looks too much like the iPhone especially like right here and
00:59Yeah, definitely get it. Some people don't like the app drawer and you know
01:04It definitely comes down to preference. I know a lot of people who really like the UI and
01:09Yeah, so it just really depends but it hasn't definitely grown on me again. It's not my favorite
01:15Android skin, but yeah, it's definitely decent. I haven't had any major problems with this phone
01:21So again for people who don't want to buy like an old flagship for whatever reason, you know
01:27Xiaomi makes some great phones like they make really good phones like
01:30this phone the Poco x6 pro I brought on even some of their budget phones the Poco m6 and
01:36Yeah, I just really enjoy a lot of Xiaomi phones. I think they're doing a great job
01:41To appeal to people who want something, you know, pretty powerful for relatively cheap. The design on here is pretty simple
01:49Design on here. It's got you know, this matte finish on here. The camera cutout on here is pretty nice
01:56I think it still looks pretty good as well and overall the feel of the phone is very comfortable as well, too
02:03So I have no issues with the design. I think it still looks pretty decent. So the display on here is still pretty good
02:09It's an AMOLED display at 6.67 inches. It's 120 Hertz HDR 10 plus
02:15900 nits for the peak brightness. It's 1220 by 2712 at
02:20446 for the PPI. It's got pretty respectable bezels on here as well, too
02:25And overall, it's a pretty nice display. The colors look really good. Now the max brightness isn't like super crazy
02:32Outdoors, it is still somewhat bit visible, but I guess it's not super crazy
02:38But the screens is really nice. Like I said, very smooth display looks really good color wise and
02:44Yeah, I have no issues with the panel on here and it's a pretty decent sized panel, too
02:49It's a pretty, you know, kind of a big phone here. The star of the show is this Dimensity processor, which has still pretty
02:56Much held up. It's still able to give you some really good settings
03:01when gaming you do have the Dimensity 8100 Ultra and then you also do have
03:06128 gigs of internal storage and 8 gigs of RAM and gaming performance on here has been really good
03:12Not only does its performance good on here, but I never have like overheating problems with this phone
03:17It never really gets warm or anything like that, which I thought was really cool
03:21Now I'm not saying the phone is not gonna get warm
03:23But this is definitely on the cooler side for me like just playing games. It doesn't you don't really feel like like getting warm
03:30So yeah, so overall performance wise this phone is still really good when it comes to performance
03:37It's very smooth handling the MIUI. It's very smooth with gaming as well, too
03:42So whether you're playing, you know, Call of Duty, PUBG, whatever you will get a pretty good experience out of this phone for sure
03:48So that's something that I definitely like about this device here
03:52Now benchmark wise you guys can see that it's pretty much on par. I would say with something like a
03:59Poco
04:01F3, Galaxy S21 FE
04:04Poco X3 Pro
04:06You guys can see it's kind of down there in that almost, you know a thousand range
04:11You guys can see here's the multi-core. So if you want to compare Geekbench scores
04:15Then this is what you will be looking at
04:19Let's check out these speakers at max volume

04:43Yeah guys, these are some pretty solid speakers for the most part
04:47They have a good amount of bass of the top speakers doing a pretty good job as well, too
04:52now this does have the
04:54Fingerprint scanner on here. It is a optical one and it works fine
04:58I haven't really had any major issues with it. And then also what a lot of people
05:03Love about these Xiaomi phones is that you do have the IR blaster on here
05:09So you can put this towards your TVs
05:13projectors
05:14AV receivers AC smart box, whatever
05:17It does a really good job. I use
05:20You know my Xiaomi phones for to control my TVs and stuff like that
05:24So it's a feature that I really love I wish they would bring it to more
05:28smartphones now you are gonna get pretty good photos with the
05:3212 T here and
05:35it's got a
05:37108 megapixel camera on here as the main sensor 8 megapixel ultra-wide
05:41It's got a 2 megapixel macro with 4k 30 and then a 20 megapixel
05:46Selfie camera 1080 60 so again not super impressive specs here
05:51But like I said as far as these shots, these are decent images
05:55It basically basically gonna give you you know, the quality of a mid-range, you know smartphone here
06:00So not bad when it comes to main lens the ultra-wide. It's okay. There's no depth sensor or anything like that
06:06You don't really have high recording video up front. So again, like I said, it is missing quite a bit
06:11But in general just as far as like just taking stills
06:14I just gonna do a pretty good job video is also, you know decent on here
06:18So I would say the cameras are just decent cameras like they're not anything crazy. They're definitely not bad at all, though
06:26One of the best things about buying a Xiaomi phone is actually the battery situation
06:32so this phone it does have a
06:36120 watt charging so it can charge up to 100% in 19 minutes, which is really incredible
06:43Now this doesn't have wireless charging
06:45But yeah
06:46Just for it to be able to charge up that quickly and you get the charger in the box
06:50Which a lot of companies do not do anymore
06:53So Xiaomi, I think is like some of the last you know companies to do it
06:57but yeah, so
06:59Having that is just really awesome. It's got a pretty big size battery at 5000 milliamps as well, too
07:04And yeah, the battery life is pretty good on here. I don't really have any major complaints as far as screen on time
07:11I've never really ran out of battery life while using this phone
07:14So overall, I really like the 12t. I think it's holding up still in 2024 now
07:19There are some other you know Xiaomi phones that you could probably get over this
07:24But yeah, I think it's a I think it's a fairly decent phone. So what do you guys think?
