00:00A stronger partnership between the aviation industry and the 59th Conference of Directors-General of Civil Aviation in Asia and Pacific Regions, or DGCA,
00:13is what Jessica Agua Ilana of Radyo Pilipinas, Cebu, reported.
00:20The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines has extended its support to the aviation industry in the country to be the backbone of the recruitment of civil aviation stakeholders in the entire Asia-Pacific region.
00:32The 59th Conference of Directors-General of Civil Aviation, or DGCA, was held in Lapulapu City, Cebu, in Asia and the Pacific region, where there are also officials of the International Civil Aviation Organization, or IKO.
00:44According to KAAP Deputy Director-General for Administration, Atty. Danjun Lucas, the Philippines was given the opportunity to enter the talks that will help our industry and broaden the deeper partnership of the country with its counterparts.
00:57We pushed our agenda. We signed many memorandums of understanding, bilateral meetings with different states. We had one with Singapore, with U.S., with Bhutan.
01:09And some of the states, they're requesting direct flights from Manila. We can coordinate with different agencies para maaaring sa katuparan yung mga napagusapan.
01:22But isang highlight na gusto ko sabihin, yung training na makukuha natin, masyado lang we're going to have an audit in March. Napaka-importante ng audit na yun.
01:32Hindi natin napaganda yung audit pag pumapa tayo sa global standard, hindi makakalipad internationally yung iba't-ibang airlines ng iba't-ibang bansa. So we have to really make sure that we get more than above the global average in terms of aviation safety.
