00:00More than a million family food packs were distributed by the DSWD to affected families in Zamboanga.
00:07Some areas were flooded because of the Christine Flood.

00:19Although some areas experienced a minimal effect of the Christine Flood in the Zamboanga Peninsula,
00:24some areas experienced flooding and landslides because of the strong winds and continuous rains.
00:29In Zamboanga del Norte, residents of J.P. Brilliantes, Shokon Municipality, were immediately evacuated because of the floods,
00:37including a senior citizen who was injured.
00:40While in the municipality of Sirawai, more than 2,000 families were evacuated from 16 barangays
00:46and remained in the gymnasium that served as an evacuation shelter.
00:50Meanwhile, more than a million family food packs were distributed by the DSWD to affected families in the region.
00:58Some schools suspended classes because of the bad weather.
01:02In Zamboanga City, 26 families were evacuated after it was destroyed by strong waves and temporarily remained in a madrasa.
01:12Supplies, food, and community kitchens were provided while the City Social Welfare and Development Office
01:19and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of the affected barangays
01:23to ensure that the needs of the evacuated families are met.
01:27The DSWD also met the needs of the 48 individuals stranded in Zamboanga Port and Inayos.
01:36In Zamboanga del Sur, landslides occurred again in Tubud Municipality of Lakewood.
01:41Our responders are being repositioned.
01:45So we can dispatch immediately using the heavy equipment from the respective municipalities.
01:53At present, the time in the region is getting better but the local disaster response teams continue to monitor the situation
02:00including the Philippine Coast Guard, PNP Maritime Group, Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
