00:00The Office of Civil Defense and DSWD is also preparing for the possible effects of the Lion Flood on Western Visayas.
00:07Meanwhile, just recently, the Pre-Emptive Evacuation was carried out in the province of Antique.

00:19Under the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council,
00:24URDRRMC-6 in the BRAVO Alert Status is the Emergency Preparedness and Response Protocol in the province of Antique
00:33and Iloilo City as a preparation for the expected threat brought by the Lion Flood in the region.
00:39According to Melissa P. Bañas, Operations Section Chief of the Office of Civil Defense or OCD Region 6,
00:47according to the DOST, Pag-asa is one of the provinces of Antique that has experienced torrential rain or heavy rainfall.
00:55That is why it is a high-risk area.
00:59When we say high-risk, it means that the province of Antique has experienced landslides and floods in the past.
01:09According to the Mines and Geosciences Bureau or MGB, as of October 28,
01:14more than 700 barangays in the entire Western Visayas are susceptible to rain-induced landslides and floods,
01:22including 528 out of 590 barangays in the province of Antique.
01:29Next, the URDRRMC-6 of Memorandum No. 106 is also issued to local governments in the province of Antique
01:40as well as their local DRRM councils to carry out pre-emptive evacuations in communities that are considered high-risk areas.
01:51Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD-6 is ensuring that their agency is prepared.
02:01In terms of the family food packs, we still have more than 90,000 scattered all over the region.
02:10Aside from the family food packs, we also have non-food items available,
02:16which includes family hygiene kits, sleeping kits, and then teaching kits,
02:21along with modular pens and laminated socks.
02:25The OCD and DSWD are also continuously calling on the public,
02:30along with other government agencies,
