00:00The House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability is now arresting the four officials of the Office of the Vice President

00:07after they did not appear in the hearing of the committee today.

00:11Another OVP official suddenly appeared without a visa and was also removed from the hearing.

00:20The House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability is now arresting the four officials of the Office of the Vice President

00:30because they did not appear in the hearing of the committee regarding the issue of the misuse of funds in the OVP.

00:37Among the condemned were OVP Assistant Chief of Staff and Bids and Awards Committee Chair Lemuel Ortono,

00:45Special Disbursing Officer Gina Acosta, and former officials of DepEd Sunshine Fajarda and Edward Fajarda,

00:52who are now members of the OVP.

00:54As an explanation for their involvement, the officials sent letters and travel orders at the same time.

01:00Fajarda traveled a lot.

01:03Acosta monitored the OVP activities in Southern Mindanao.

01:08Ortono was in Cebu while Atty. Sunshine Fajarda also traveled.

01:13The congressmen did not deny this.

01:16It's a bit surprising because they both left.

01:21They both have travel orders.

01:23They both were ordered to leave on the day of the hearing.

01:29Now, it makes me think that there's actually a malicious intent behind all these reasons and travel orders given to them

01:41just so that they can again avoid attending today's hearing, Mr. Chair.

01:48The Chief of Staff of Vice President Sara Duterte, Yusex Zuleika Lopez, also did not leave.

01:54But because his trip to America is an emergency, he was given another chance to face the next hearing.

02:02If there are five absent, there are four OVP officials who attended the hearing,

02:07including Chief Accountant Julieta Villa del Rey,

02:10Administrative and Financial Services Director Rosalyn Sanchez,

02:14Budget Division Chief Edenin Rabago,

02:16and Chief Administrative Officer Kelvin Jero Mitenyido.

02:20Another OVP official suddenly showed up, and that was Atty. Emily Torrentira.

02:25She was not invited and refused to attend, so she was left behind.

02:31Number one, she was not invited to attend today's hearing.

02:36Number two, she did not take her oath.

02:44So we don't even know the personalities and the circumstances to why she is here.

02:51And no communication was forwarded to the committee as to her attendance.

02:57For all we know, she can be somebody posing for somebody,

03:01and the committee cannot act on mere presentation without proper representation.

03:31Personally, his statements in our Senate hearing left us with more questions than answers.

03:45So we're really hoping that he would attend.
