00:00Looking at director of football, Kevin Fairwell, obviously with the takeover coming in, you do tend to see a lot of different roles change.
00:09What can you tell us about his future at the club?
00:13It's an interesting one, definitely, because obviously Sean Dyche's position is going to come under scrutiny.
00:20He's out of contract at the end of the season and maybe the freeking group might look and move on there.
00:26I think that might happen, but the director of football one is a little bit different, because Kevin Fairwell, he's had difficult circumstances since he arrived at the club in February 2022.
00:44There hasn't been a lot of money to spend. He's had to, I don't want to say wheel and deal, it's been difficult, it's been a challenge.
00:57Has he ever been able to get his top targets over the line because of the lack of funds?
01:02And it's not just transfers that he's been focusing on, it's the academy, it's the infrastructure of the club as well, which sometimes goes unnoticeable.
01:13If you just look at the transfers, there have been some good ones. Ilman Ndiaye being one, he was obviously a target for a while, and Amadou Ounana came in.
01:23OK, maybe Everton didn't quite get the best out of him, but Everton made a significant profit out of him.
01:29And Timmy Raboun, who arrived in the summer, that looks like a good bit of business.
01:37James Garner's definitely got a lot of upkerf to him.
01:42Jake O'Brien, the same, who come in the summer. But then you look at Sands, maybe someone like Abeto, who just hasn't quite worked out yet.
01:50And there have been some players who maybe haven't quite aligned to Sean Dyche's way of playing, you know, Arnaud Zandhumer, who's a bit par player.
02:03Jesper Lindstrom started and he shows improvements, but there's some doubt, is he a Sean Dyche player?
02:10Is he someone who, you know, you say he will fit into a Sean Dyche team?
02:15But then that comes down to the fact that, well, Everton, maybe they couldn't get A, B and C, so they had to go and get someone else who they could get in to get bodies in.
02:24So it's definitely been difficult, I think, for Kevin Falwell.
02:30There are some supporters who would like Kevin to move on and change things and go with a new director of football.
02:37But I think there's some who are looking at it thinking, well, maybe he deserves a chance if there is going to be more money to spend.
02:41What can he do? So it's a decision for the free group to make.
02:47And I'm sure those discussions behind the scenes are already going on.
