00:00:26Some people suggest figuring out a way to get UConn in there good zag has been thrown around and then people say now

00:02:04I've seen enough to cross off some teams. We'll do that. We'll do that at the end of the week
00:02:08I like to I like making that a weekly segment that we do at the end of the week
00:02:11Not a lot happened between Champions Classic and and this show so we'll do some more

00:02:34the Auburn Houston game and the North Carolina Kansas game and and here were specific moments from these games over the weekend and the end
00:02:41Of the week show unless there are some banger games throughout the week
00:02:43I see that as being more of the macro we're doing we're gonna do the the the fraud power rankings the cross-off list
00:02:49Cold ass white boys. I've been getting a lot of suggestions a lot of
00:02:54I don't know suggestions the right word questions a lot of like, you know prodding

00:03:08And it happened organically because I'm just sitting there watching all these games and I'm watching Dalton connect and Reed Shepherd

00:03:18And I was like, oh my god, is this the year of the cold-ass white boy?
00:03:21And it kind of happened organically now this year. There are some prospects. I'm taking notes
00:03:26We're putting it together, but we can't rush it. So we're not gonna do cold-ass white boys. Now. It will come give it time

00:03:53I find myself way more into it than I thought I would be when they first announced that that they would be doing it
00:03:57And yeah, the NBA is getting pretty interesting. So we might we might talk a little NBA that's on the docket for today

00:04:25I don't think we'll do that much on this show because we did the we did a full hour about it

00:07:52So it's like they weren't no one that was taking them seriously as contenders last year now they they're they're officially 13 to know

00:07:59They so they made the switch that went from JB Bickerstaff to Kenny Atkinson and he has them playing
00:08:05Efficiently on both ends of the floor. He Darius Garland. I think is the biggest change right now
00:08:10JB Bickerstaff had the world convinced that Darius Garland wasn't a good basketball player and he's out here
00:08:16He's out here being a killer right now efficient passing the ball scoring the ball
00:08:19And then he also allows Evan Mobley to play with more freedom
00:08:22So if you remember last year, we lost to the Celtics which Titus everyone did. Yeah, everyone did
00:08:29Everyone lost and there was some sort of hit piece right after the game. That was like we got to blow this up
00:08:34Big I'm sorry Mobley can't play with Jared Allen Garland can't play with Donovan Mitchell. Which two do you want to keep?

00:08:44Yeah, so the Cavs front office did something that people questioned which was hey
00:08:49Let's just fire the coach and run it back with four talented to keep the players fire the coach

00:09:34Ben Simmons hit rock-bottom, but I remember like he like cuts to the bat. They throw him a pass

00:11:22That they presented it to the fans as like we're trying to get people to care about regular season NBA basketball more
00:11:29So you fans should care more because the courts are gonna be different

00:11:34But I think it's what what makes the fans care more is just the players care more
00:11:38I guess if you know that when you're watching these games the players are
00:11:42Going to try and going to play in the games. It matters and it
00:11:47Yeah, maybe I'm just over maybe maybe like I'm overstating it because of the the Warriors Mavs game was fucking awesome
00:11:54And maybe that was more just clay coming back, but watching watching that was incredible watching Steph
00:12:00For Steph it was vintage Steph vintage clay except they're on different teams. The whole scene was awesome

00:12:10But it's like the discussion about all the all-star games if the players cared about the all-star games

00:12:14That would be the sickest event in all of sports because it's the best players if people care about if the players will care about
00:12:20this the idea of taking an 82 game season or if you didn't baseball 162 games and
00:12:25Making something matter like we're gonna have a single elimination knockout round. That's fucking awesome if the players care about it
00:12:31Yeah, I mean the the six are saying we're not doing back-to-backs or whatever like that
00:12:35I don't think they or maybe they do know this and they just don't give a fuck
00:12:38but I don't think they they quite understand that the league as a whole how damaging that is to

00:13:06We just don't care about 30 of the games because then I as a fan. I'm like, well, why should I care?

00:13:12That's where I've been at with the NBA for a while now is like if you if I can turn on an NBA game
00:13:16and I know that every single guy on the floor gives a fuck and that the teams give a fuck and the coach give and
00:13:21Everybody's there to win. Awesome. I'm in I can't get it over. That's why when the playoffs roll around
00:13:25I'm like, this is fucking awesome. The problem is on any given
00:13:28Wednesday night or Thursday night that I'm turning on NBA basketball
00:13:32I don't know that that's the case and for me, that's a non-starter
00:13:34So I guess what I'm saying is that I'm back in on the NBA when the NBA cup rolls around because it does seem like the
00:13:40Guys care now, that's that might not be true across the league and I know the Celtics lost at home
00:13:44And then as soon as they lose there's that's where I'm interested is because yeah said they give a fuck about it
00:13:48My question is the Celtics lost their first game in the NBA cup

00:13:51I will learn a whole lot as I see them play the rest of their games because do they pack it in and say right?

00:14:21They could be 15 and 15, you know going to Boston and in a cup
00:14:25That's a game that the Cavs will badly won at what point I asked Brandon Walker this almost a sports at what point in the?

00:14:34Like treat it like do they treat every single regular season game as though it's game seven of the finals
00:14:40And it's like we have to keep this thing going as long as we can and it actually almost like works against them

00:14:49I think first of all what I'm seeing is similarities between as a Cavs fan in like
00:14:552016 and what the Celtics are doing now we did not give a fuck what seed we were
00:15:01Other teams were like trying hard like all right

00:15:04The Cavs right now are what the other teams were back when we had LeBron like right?
00:15:09We are trying so hard to win every game and I think when you're undefeated you have to do that

00:15:19When you're undefeated you have to whereas Celtics fans right now, and I read a blog yesterday from greenie
00:15:24It's like here's how to act. My point is this the Celtics do not care for the to seed like yeah

00:15:36We're like the whole time the Hawks the year the Hawks had like five all-stars, and they were the the number one seed

00:16:09And it's it's hard to find that there are bright spots, but uh yeah, he was a guy that when the Sixers picked up

00:16:19I think he could be a good piece for them
00:16:21But it's always hard to it's always hard to forecast how these guys are gonna pan out
00:16:24Especially their rookie year and how much time they're gonna need and whether the fit is right and all that
00:16:28And him going to a team that had NBA title aspirations and all this talent
00:16:33I was like I listen I like Jared McCain, and I think he's going to be a good piece for them
00:16:36But I don't know how much he's gonna play
00:16:38I don't know how much he's actually going to matter how much he's gonna have the ball in his hands

00:21:02He made seven three-point shots. He shot 20% from the three-point line
00:21:07For the Phoenix Suns this year in 10 games. Well, they played last night. I think he I think he hit two more last night

00:21:2211 games, I guess he's shooting a shade under 40% from the three-point line and and you know this

00:22:42I believe that basketball coaches believe that you can't teach height. You can't teach athleticism. You can't teach
00:22:51Well, maybe maybe you could teach defensive instincts
00:22:53I was about to say you can't teach defensive instincts, but maybe you could teach some things
00:22:56But really a lot of the anticipation stuff
