00:00Hello there, good morning. It was a rather wet and windy day for some of us yesterday,
00:05generally winds easing away today and we are looking at a rather calmer spell of weather.
00:10Not completely dry though through today, Storm Burt has left behind plenty of showers moving
00:15across the country, mainly around coastal areas and most inland areas actually seeing
00:20plenty of sunshine today. Still plenty of showers though around coastal areas of Scotland,
00:24particularly the north east of Scotland where those brisk northerly winds are set to continue
00:29but for many of us a calmer day, plenty of sunshine around and much lighter winds too.
00:34Milder across the south west, highs of 10 to 11 but elsewhere it is going to be a chilly
00:39day on the cards. Now heading through into this evening we'll begin to see a bit of a
00:45north west split, outbreaks of rain moving up from the south west, this heavy at times
00:50and turning rather blustery around coastal areas as it sweeps its way towards central
00:54and eastern parts of the country. To the north of this though generally calmer, plenty
00:59of clear skies, still a few showers around coastal areas but largely dry for many of
01:03us but it is going to be turning chilly, likely to see quite a sharp frost here, perhaps even
01:08some icy stretches so do take care if you're out and about in the morning. But to the south
01:12not turning quite as chilly here under cloudier skies and leading to quite a damp start by
01:17the time we reach Monday morning. This rain is rather slow to clear as it edges its way
01:22eastwards, could linger on for a time across central and eastern parts, leaving behind
01:26much drier weather though plenty of cloud. To the north of this once again there's going
01:31to be plenty of sunny spells, another chilly day on the cards though but generally much
01:36lighter winds though highs are not really pushing much past 4 or 5 degrees but across
01:41the south slightly milder once again, highs between 10 to 12 degrees. Now as we look towards
01:48the rest of the week, generally high pressure is dominating so once again largely dry and
01:52settled for many of us but all eyes out to the west as some frontal systems do eventually
01:57edge their way in on Thursday and Friday bringing some wet and windy weather here but high pressure
02:02generally holds on to the far east. So still plenty of settled weather around but a turn
02:07to some unsettled weather in the west towards the end of the week. That's it from me, I
02:12hope you managed to see some sunshine, bye bye for now.
