01:13The digital transformation is breaking on the innovation tracks and in some sectors artificial intelligence can play its role of game changer.
01:22In Palazzo dell'Informazione in Rome, the new meeting of Andrea Necronos, question and answer,
01:26has put at the center of a debate that has seen the participation of first-rate speakers
01:31from the world of business, the academic and scientific world, the theme of digital transformation within AI.
01:37The pharmaceutical sector is an industrial sector like other sectors,
01:41but it has the particularity, recognized for several years, to be a strategic sector for the country.
01:46This means that we face the national health system and the health system in general.
01:51The pharmaceutical system welcomes digital health as an opportunity of competitiveness,
01:56but also as one of the anchors of salvation of the national health system.
02:01Artificial intelligence, digital health. At the San Raffaele hospital in Milan,
02:05they have developed a platform to make sure that AI solutions
02:09really reach the diagnosis and care processes of the patient.
02:12A platform that tries to industrialize and make efficient and compliant
02:19with all the needs imposed by the research project, by the legislation,
02:26is what the phase of development of an AI algorithm for personalized medicine is,
02:32starting from the selection of the data up to the development and implementation
02:39of the algorithm that is created within the hospital computer system.
02:45Digital health also in the radiology sector, where AI has changed the diagnostic methods.
02:51One of the areas for which radiology is used is to confirm or somehow refute a diagnostic suspicion.
03:02So, a very simple example, talking about orthopedic radiology,
03:08is a radiographic examination of a patient who has had a trauma,
03:13fracture yes or fracture no, so there is a fracture or there is not.
03:18It is also an application that can be very useful,
03:22especially because the pathology, now we are talking about fractures,
03:25is an extremely frequent and extremely common pathology.
03:29The impact of AI is transversal, new skills require adequate training.
03:35In the field of training, we are called first of all to innovate our business models
03:40and therefore we are applying Artificial Intelligence in a whole series of processes of delivery of our training.
03:46We must also be able to train new skills,
03:51which are the basis of what will be the transformation and digital application in all production processes.
03:56The industrial sector is the most interested in the evolution of Artificial Intelligence.
04:02We are in the field of sustainable mobility, automotive, rather than aerospace.
04:08Certainly in these sectors, the application of Artificial Intelligence and also of Generative Artificial Intelligence is already a reality.
04:16And we have to deal with it because not only the big players,
04:21but also the small and medium-sized companies of Made in Italy are at the top.
04:25The digital transformation has made Artificial Intelligence a real cultural filter.
04:30It also means understanding it, knowing how to use it and being aware of the fact that
04:35all our culture today is filtered by this tool.
04:40In this sense, our culture is a culture that is somehow already of Artificial Intelligence.
04:48But we are not aware of it, we do not know the dynamics and we often use it in a little unaware way.
05:00Artificial Intelligence is also closely linked to microelectronics.
05:05Artificial Intelligence is spreading pervasively in all applications,
05:11especially in relation to the strong impact that microelectronics are having.
05:16Microelectronics is the real element that triggered this large amount of applications of Artificial Intelligence.
05:24This trend will continue if microelectronics continue to be produced with reliability in its supply chain.
05:33A combination of tradition and innovation, this is the philosophy that has guided the realization of the guides of the Espresso 2025
05:40presented at the Arcimboldi Theater in Milan,
05:43at the presentation of the volumes, which this year celebrates its 45th anniversary
05:47and continues to be a point of irrefutable reference for lovers of the excellence of Italian food and wine,
05:53the star chefs Antonino Canavacciuolo, Chico Cerea and Massimo Bottura,
05:58as well as the director of Espresso, Emilio Carelli, sat in the front row.
06:02The philosophy that inspired the writing of these new guides for the Espresso 2025 wine restaurants
06:10was to combine tradition, therefore to value the excellences of the past that have been confirmed as such,
06:21but to look for both for the restaurants and for the wines, also what are the novelties,
06:27try to understand what the chefs of the future will be,
06:30try to understand what are the wineries that in these months have distinguished themselves
06:35for novelty, for experimentation, for new tastes.
06:39And it is from this philosophy that the new guides were born,
06:43who therefore try to weld tradition with the future.
06:47Among the over 1,000 guests, also the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests, Francesco Lollobrigida.
06:54Guide means having the opportunity to know what others have searched for,
07:01open roads that must be consolidated through information that people need to choose
07:08and therefore to reach the places that discover in advance the contents and then savor,
07:15in this case, in the taste, in the environment, in the localities to which our products are linked,
07:22in the restaurant through what Italian cuisine means as conviviality, as a precious heritage,
07:31which we are candidating for the UNESCO World Heritage Site precisely for this.
07:35For President of Verona Fiera and Federico Briccolo,
07:38the guides of the Espresso have always been an important pillar in the promotion of the wines of the summer.
07:43The guide of the Espresso is always very much awaited by all wine lovers,
07:48who in recent years have certainly contributed to the growth of Italian wines,
07:53not only in our country but also in the world.
07:56Italian wines have focused a lot on export, their quality, their excellence,
08:01connected to the value of Made in Italy,
08:04it really manages to enter all markets, all over the world,
08:07there is an excellence that is recognized by everyone,
08:10which is also connected with the food and therefore the whole food sector,
08:14where Italy excels and where the best wines are selected through the guides of the Espresso,
08:21the best activities that deal with restaurant,
08:24this is certainly a great added value for the end user.
08:28Awarded as Best Emerging Chef,
08:30Chef Luigi Coppola of Casa Coloni explains the importance of recognition.
08:35The importance is that we understand that the direction is perhaps the right one,
08:41the direction of a team that works hard, a team that supports you,
08:46so you see a little light, you see that what you do begins to bear fruit.
08:54Speed and energy efficiency with high-level performance also in the field of AI.
09:0050 megapixel periscope camera made in collaboration with Sony,
09:05underwater photography up to 2 meters for 30 minutes and AI Night Vision technology
09:11to guarantee clear photos even with poor lighting.
09:14Display developed in collaboration with Samsung Display
09:18with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak of brightness of 6,500 nits
09:24and a battery of 6,500 mAh.
09:27The new Realme G7 Pro, the first in Italy with Snapdragon 8 Elite processor,
09:33breaks into the Italian market with the promise of becoming a new reference point
09:38in the high-end smartphone segment.
09:41Our mission is to bring to young people all over the world,
09:45not only the Italian ones, of course, the best technology at the most affordable price.
09:50To do this, for example, in the case of the GT series, we created a GT Lab,
09:55which is a research and development laboratory,
09:58in which we have invested 380 million euros and where 600 engineers work,
10:04this to be able to guarantee our users the best technology ever.
10:07Realme confirms itself as a smartphone brand in rapid growth.
10:11Realme, in the second quarter for Cartoboy,
10:14we are the fourth brand in Europe for shipping,
10:19also in Italy, of course, this is no less,
10:22because also in Italy, in the second channel, we are the fourth brand.
10:25This shows not only thanks to our growing popularity, which is certainly important,
10:31but certainly also thanks to the feature of Realme
10:35to bring quality products and services for the Italian consumer.
10:38This is recognized and this journey is an important journey for us
10:42and we are really proud of it.
10:50It was an evening of extraordinary intensity,
10:52that of the Fairplay-Mellarini talk show, the champions tell each other.
10:56Correctness, Olympic spirit and respect were made by three dunions of the event,
11:00in which the great athletes have fascinated the public
11:03with the challenges and successes of their journey.
11:06The Fairplay-Mellarini Foundation tonight celebrates a fantastic format
11:09in a timeless setting like that of Palazzo Vecchio
11:13and through the story of nine great champions
11:16we will tell their sports and human stories
11:20that intertwine with the teaching of the values of Fairplay.
11:23Many guests who have alternated on stage,
11:26starting with Javier Zanetti and then Andrea Zorzi,
11:29Caterina Antropova, Andy Diaz, Fabrizio Donato,
11:32Rigi Van Gannisciamorti, Giuliano Razzoli,
11:35Borja Valero and Federico Buffa.
11:37It is an absolute honor to be here tonight
11:40and to be able to transmit at least something beyond the importance of victories,
11:46something more complex,
11:49which in some way, even in my little one, can help someone.
11:54Maybe my luck was to have the right people close to me
11:57who opened my head to think about this,
12:00because sometimes you don't even think about it,
12:03you think about being on the chair,
12:05thinking only about the bad, the bad of life.
12:08Let's say that I was very lucky
12:11because I saw another life with these eyes.
12:19A multi-risk project with an interdisciplinary approach
12:22that combines STEM skills with human and socio-economic sciences
12:26to promote knowledge on natural phenomena and their impact on communities.
12:30It is the Return project, funded by the PNRR,
12:33which in Bologna had its dissemination workshop.
12:36A comparison to understand how forecasting, prevention, management,
12:40monitoring of water-related risks, soil stability, earthquakes,
12:44volcanoes and environmental pollution can benefit from a multi-risk approach.
12:49We are two-thirds of the development of the project,
12:52which will end at the end of 2025,
12:54and we are beginning to have not only a significant enrichment of the compagny,
12:58because the water-related risks are coming to an end,
13:01so participation is increasing,
13:03and above all we are beginning to have products,
13:06which are operational products,
13:08which can be of interest and use by local entities
13:12or even by subjects who are still pre-located.
13:16For example, the project proposes methodologies
13:19that are able to make predictions on a more precise scale,
13:23and that could help to intercept sudden and very intense rainfall,
13:31which instead escape ordinary forecasts to which we are used.
13:36A central element is the interoperability between the different technologies
13:40and analysis tools to quantify the impacts
13:43accumulated on the territory, infrastructure and social contexts.
13:47Each group has developed its own technologies
13:51with cutting-edge technologies,
13:54which are also found in some research groups,
14:00with the aim of making these different technologies speak to each other,
14:06always in the spirit of contributing to increase the resilience of our communities,
14:11of our territories,
14:13with respect to natural risks and with respect to the changes
14:16to which the territories will be subject from now on.
14:21Particular attention is also paid to the assessments
14:24carried out for urban and metropolitan settlements,
14:27critical infrastructures and sites of historical and artistic interest.
14:30The mapping of the risk areas is a fundamental step
14:34to reduce the impact of environmental risks of natural or anthropic origin.
14:41It is fundamental because it allows us to anticipate
14:44where we can verify events that impact the population
14:49and the socio-economic fabric in general.
14:54To revolutionize the aviation sector,
14:56turning it into one of the most difficult areas to decarbonize,
14:59it has a model of environmental and economic sustainability.
15:02This is the mission of the annual Congress of the Pacta Foundation,
15:05for the decarbonization of air transport, held today in Rome.
15:08The event has brought together clear figures from the sector,
15:11engineers and aircraft manufacturers,
15:13from airport managers and actors to large energy companies,
15:16in front of regulatory bodies and institutions.
15:19In particular, we aim not only at increasingly efficient aircraft,
15:23but also at sustainable fuels for aviation,
15:26primarily biofuels,
15:28which will be available in sufficient measure,
15:31perhaps even more than sufficient,
15:33for the first stage, that of 2030 that Europe imposes on us,
15:36about 6% of SAF in the tanks of our aircraft,
15:40but above all to invest in what will come next.
15:43In 2035, this goal is more than triplicate.
15:46There is a need for industrial policies that favor production
15:49and also encourage the use of these fuels,
15:52as well as research and development on second-generation fuels,
15:55those synthetic ones.
15:57Finally, the Foundation is increasingly valuing what is emerging
16:00as another very effective lever for the fight against climate change,
16:05as it is also valued by the IPCC,
16:08so at the international level,
16:10that of carbon removal,
16:12that is, the removal of CO2 and capture,
16:15which will certainly be an increasingly important and essential lever
16:18to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement in 2050.
16:21Moreover, it is also a project in which Italy is distinguishing itself
16:24with the great Agile Inventure project between ENI and SNAM,
16:28one of the largest projects of capture and storage of CO2.
16:33The Congress also highlighted the transformation
16:35of airport stairs into sustainable hubs,
16:38from the decarbonization of operating facilities
16:40to the facilitation of energy efficiency interventions,
16:43through the optimization of air traffic.
16:45The generosity of the SAF is not an opinion,
16:47it is a fact that still today constitutes a preclusive barrier
16:50that evidently must be overcome or resolved in some way,
16:53because the SAF itself constitutes today
16:55the only technological solution we have available
16:57for the reduction, the annexation of militarism
16:59on the transport of hydrogen and other forms
17:01that are not currently feasible.
17:03It is clear that we must support it,
17:05but not support it with penalization policies,
17:07but with incentives that evidently must be adopted
17:09in a European way, as the United States
17:11and Great Britain are already doing,
17:13but not with a logic that in our opinion
17:15is that of the ETS, which in reality
17:17is not fully shareable, but on the contrary,
17:19with a logic of priority and incentive.
17:21Among the proposals, measures to encourage
17:23investments in green energy,
17:25such as electrochemical storage
17:27and the supply of hydrogen and biomethane
17:29for the integration of airport and industrial systems.
17:31In 2050, we arrive with the current engine,
17:35and therefore the only fuel compatible today
17:41that guarantees a target of zero decarbonization
17:45with marginal compensation
17:47is the biofuel,
17:49which evidently today has an excessive cost,
17:52but we trust that technology in 2050
17:56guarantees us a price that is compatible
17:58with environmental sustainability,
18:00but also with economic sustainability
18:02and social sustainability.
18:06The debate on diets and animal production,
18:08with its ethical, environmental
18:10and health implications,
18:12has taken unprecedented importance
18:14in today's society.
18:16These implications have been discussed
18:18during the meeting
18:20in which Elisabetta Bernardi,
18:22biologist, nutritionist
18:24and biology teacher
18:26at the University of Bari
18:28confirmed that we are omnivorous.
18:30It is very important to follow
18:32a Mediterranean food model,
18:34which is an omnivorous food model
18:36that does not exclude any food,
18:38but all must be taken
18:40with the right proportions.
18:42This is because it allows
18:44to have a complete nutrition
18:46from a nutritional point of view,
18:48it allows not to have nutritional deficiencies,
18:50such as iron or zinc deficiencies,
18:52if meat is excluded,
18:54but it also allows
18:56to have protective substances.
18:58Recently,
19:00a substance has been discovered
19:02in the meat and milk
19:04of the ruminant animals,
19:06which is transbacinic acid,
19:08which is a substance
19:10that can also protect
19:12our body
19:14and stimulate
19:16the immune action
19:18against the tumors
19:20of the colon,
19:22but also the tumors
19:24of the skin, such as melanoma.
19:26The omnivorous diet,
19:28in which meat is also present,
19:30has been a key element
19:32of the evolution of the human being,
19:34as underlines Juan Pascual,
19:36veterinarian and scientific publicator.
19:38Man is omnivorous before he is a man.
19:402.6 million years ago,
19:42Homo erectus,
19:44the predecessor of humans,
19:46began to eat meat.
19:48So this has become
19:50a key issue for our evolution,
19:52therefore eating meat,
19:54eggs and everything,
19:56even vegetables, is very important for us.
19:58Why does
20:00animal husbandry
20:02have a much more important social role?
20:04Not only for the food
20:06they give us,
20:08but particularly
20:10because there is also an ecological issue.
20:12Breeding animals
20:14eat a lot of
20:16vegetable products.
20:18For every kilo of vegetable products
20:20we eat, they produce four.
20:22We eat popcorn,
20:24but the corn plant
20:26is much bigger.
20:28And all these sub-vegetable products
20:30that we cannot eat,
20:32are eaten by breeding animals.
20:34Without animals,
20:36we would have
20:38a huge amount, billions of tons
20:40of sub-vegetable products
20:42that would really be an ecological problem
20:44of the first order.
20:46Sport as a means
20:48of cohesion and inclusion to reach
20:50peace. This is the theme at the center
20:52of the meeting, sport as a tool
20:54of peace, the voice of athletes,
20:56organized by the M5S MP
20:58Carolina Morace.
21:00First of all, peace is one
21:02of the priorities
21:04of the M5S,
21:06together with social justice,
21:08ecological transition
21:10and legality.
21:12Sport is a tool
21:14of cohesion and
21:16inclusion,
21:18that perfectly matches
21:20the theme
21:22of peace.
21:24For me,
21:26sport must
21:28do its part,
21:30with its universal language,
21:32with
21:34its values of inclusion
21:36and equality.
21:38In the course of the morning,
21:40the debate started with the
21:42UNHCR's intervention
21:44to reflect on how sport
21:46can be a bridge for peace.
21:48How important is sport
21:50to reach peace, or at least
21:52to try it?
21:54How much? It's a lot.
21:56It can influence a lot,
21:58but it needs support
22:00from those people
22:02who govern.
22:04It's important
22:06that the speech doesn't end.
22:08We need to continue with the facts.
22:34I don't want to present
22:36a synchronous debate,
22:38because the UNHCR
22:40has set a date
22:42for the people's
22:44national day.
22:46Here we have
22:48a history
22:50of life,
22:52sport and money.
22:54These decisions
22:56are very important.
22:58It's about
23:00the Amazon intermodality,
23:02the development of hundreds of routes
23:04that allowed in 2023
23:06to increase rail and sea transport
23:08in the European Union
23:10and reduce CO2 emissions
23:12by almost 50%.
23:14This is one of the key issues
23:16that the company presented
23:18at the National Assembly
23:20in Turin,
23:22where there were many meetings.
23:24Having efficient and innovative
23:26logistics is essential.
23:28Intermodal solutions
23:30allow us to have
23:32continuous innovation
23:34and efficiency.
23:36Intermodal solutions
23:38allow us to save costs
23:40and reduce emissions,
23:42which is another of our strategic goals.
23:44I would like to remember
23:46the investment of Alessandria
23:48with the opening in September.
23:50This is a supply center
23:52that becomes our entry point,
23:54privileged for all our products,
23:56which are then distributed
23:58within our logistics network.
24:00This center will focus
24:02on intermodal solutions.
24:04In the vicinity,
24:06we have a railway interchange
24:08that is under development.
24:10From there,
24:12all the long-term lines
24:14for the center in southern Italy
24:16will start, which are the ideal solutions
24:18for intermodal railways.
24:20It is a cross-border territory
24:22between the three major metropolitan areas
24:24of Turin, Milan and Genoa.
24:26Alessandria,
24:28as a province,
24:30already has several logistics sites.
24:32It is also taking off
24:34the territorial
24:36logistic vocation of the capital.
24:38Surely, after the
24:40Amazon settlement,
24:42requests for settlement
24:44in our city have multiplied.
24:46This is certainly an opportunity for us.
24:50An event to tell the commitment
24:52of the University of Milan-Bicocca
24:54to the fight against violence against women
24:56is the Strapi della Violenza,
24:58reflections and actions
25:00of the University of Milan-Bicocca.
25:02On this occasion,
25:04two laureate awards were given
25:06to Sofia Castelli,
25:08the young student killed
25:10by her ex-boyfriend last year.
25:12The Reflections for Change campaign
25:14was then presented
25:16to encourage victims
25:18to ask for help
25:20and students and citizens
25:22to ask for help.
25:24The main event of the day
25:26was the announcement of the opening
25:28of the first sport anti-violence
25:30of the Ateneo,
25:32a result strongly wanted
25:34also by the director Giovanna Iannantuoni.
25:36Femicide is the tip of a very big iceberg
25:38that are all forms of economic
25:40and psychological discrimination
25:42that women suffer.
25:44The fact that in Italy
25:46only one woman out of two
25:48works,
25:5040% of women
25:52don't have an independent
25:54income,
25:56is the starting point
25:58for our students
26:00to understand
26:02how important it is
26:04for a man
26:06to take care
26:08and love his wife,
26:10to make her free.
26:12First of all, women
26:14must be aware
26:16that their freedom of choice
26:18is fundamental
26:20to be happy
26:22and sure of their future,
26:24to build their future
26:26in autonomy and freedom.
26:28To listen to those who will address
26:30the sport anti-violence
26:32of the University of Milan-Bicocca,
26:34the experts of CADMI,
26:36the home for women abused
26:38in Milan,
26:40and the SWS Association,
26:42as explained by Patrizia Seca,
26:44president of the only guarantee committee
26:46of the University of Milan-Bicocca
26:48for women students,
26:50but also for all the workers
26:52of Milan-Bicocca,
26:54both the researchers
26:56and the teachers,
26:58but also all the women
27:00who work as technical
27:02and administrative staff.
27:04Of course, there will be
27:06an open door
27:08to welcome
27:10any women
27:12who live in the neighborhood
27:14but we have decided
27:16to support
27:18two very important realities,
27:20CADMI and SWS,
27:22which are two historical centers
27:24of the Milanese reality,
27:26which have
27:28within their staff
27:30a long experience on these issues,
27:32a wide training,
27:34and therefore,
27:36rather than improvise,
27:38dedicating our staff,
27:40we have decided
27:42to involve staff
27:44who already work
27:46in these two centers
27:48in the context
27:50of the network,
27:52in the context
27:54of common work.
27:56In Palembo,
27:58the Magna Grecia Foundation
28:00has focused on the fight
28:02against cybercrime
28:04and on the increasing
28:06dependency of young people
28:08but also of children
28:10and this often happens
28:12on social media,
28:14it contributes to the psyche
28:16of our young people.
28:18In some cases,
28:20if we talk about methamphetamine,
28:22there is a kind of dependency
28:24like drugs,
28:26and this naturally
28:28weakens the growth
28:30of young people.
28:32We know that social media
28:34are together an opportunity
28:36and a risk,
28:38to raise awareness
28:40and inform,
28:42to raise awareness
28:44both of the protagonists,
28:46the young people,
28:48the educators,
28:50the adults,
28:52the parents,
28:54the teachers,
28:56and on the other hand,
28:58what we would like
29:00is that there is,
29:02in addition to a greater awareness,
29:04also a will,
29:06on how
29:08the new
29:10technological means
29:12are used by young people.
29:14In the meantime,
29:16we have a national agency
29:18chaired by the Mayor Frattati
29:20that works and
29:22without complaint
29:24ensures a protection shield
29:26to our system.
29:28We consider that we are
29:30one of the first countries
29:32to have constituted the police
29:34and we consider that
29:36technology is a value and a means
29:38and not an objective, an end.
29:40It is clear that we will always have
29:42an improper use and also
29:44the big corporations should understand
29:46that they do not earn
29:48hundreds of millions of dollars
29:50or euros just by
29:52feeding the young people
29:54phenomena that can turn into crime.
29:56We have already discovered
29:58that the hacker attacks
30:00are daily, there are many,
30:02also by foreign
30:04institutional entities,
30:06but fortunately
30:08we have an important
30:10resistance apparatus.
