00:00what's up guys it's doo-doo poker here back for another hand history review
00:08today we have 10 of hearts 10 of spades in the big blind button raises up around 2.6x
00:15big blinds and we decide to three bet a little over 13 big blinds in the big blind and button
00:22calls flop comes jack of hearts eight of hearts four of hearts okay so the first thing we need
00:28to know right now off the bat we have to know is our opponent a fish or a reg okay if our opponent
00:35is a reg we play gto strategies on the flop okay that means this hand would be mixed for small
00:42if he's a fish we range for small so how do we figure this out okay so let's look at his vpip
00:51pfr let's look at our definition of a fish this is our definition for a fish okay a vpip
01:01pfr gap of greater than nine percent what's the gap here well 23 minus 9 is 14 percent over 43
01:12opportunities okay let's go to the hud calculator and we put it in 14 percent 43 opportunities less
01:20than or equal to nine nine point five percent that means there's a 90.5 percent chance of this player
01:27being a fish okay now you're not going to know this in game but once you do this enough you can
01:32start making educated guesses okay so we have a very likely fish here so we're going to use our fish
01:39strategy on the flop okay so we raise small i mean that's small and we get raised now we have to know
01:48this to fish over raise under raise or gto raise what do you guys think well we can look at the data
01:57and figure this out we see from the data that fish are raising 19 percent versus a 30 percent cbet
02:05and gto is 7 to 12 percent so we know they over raise as the three bet pot in position preflop caller
02:12okay let's go to to the um the turn we also know they over barrel the turn after raising flop 70 percent
02:22and gto is 60 to 68 percent so keep those two things in mind so once we get raised we have to call right
02:30okay so now on the turn when he goes small we have a bluff catcher but we know they're too wide
02:38um let's go here um let's go here they only uh fold to a three bet when on the button 46 percent
02:49and gto was 48 to 58 percent so we know they're too wide preflop okay that's number one we also know
02:57they over raise flop that's number two we also know they over barrel turn after over raising flop
03:05that's three data points okay so we always call turn now river we have to look at the river data
03:11let's look at the raise bet bet river data okay so we can see here
03:19that every sizing is over bluffed okay so uh bet 100 should be 33 week if it's gto it's 49
03:30this should be 30 week it's 48 bet 50 should be 25 it's 43 so every sizing is over bluffed okay
03:38that's very important so when we decide let's see the actual hand once we calculate all this you don't
03:47have to know this specifically in game but you should just um once you start playing um your fish
03:54strategy more you'll start developing an intuition for it so let's see what happened in game okay
03:59so in game our opponent raised we three bet okay so we decided to see bet small which is our fish
04:07strategy we know they over raise so we call we picked up a flush on the turn with the straight
04:14flush outs he bets small always call now the river is the main decision right so we know from our data
04:20it's over bluffed so we always call here right because fish over bluff and they also bet merged
04:31so we we call down with our bluff catcher now if this was a reg let's look at reg data i'll show you
04:40the reg data as well if this was a reg this would be a very bad call because well this is bet 70s gto so
04:51it's close but we know on monotone boards that regs under bluff so if this was a reg we have to fold
04:59so we fold versus a reg but we know fish over bluff in the raise bet bet line and we call
