00:00Well, we're here in the NASCAR cup series garage, and all the men and women Stuart Haas
00:05racing are watching the cars being loaded into the hauler for the final time.
00:08I'm standing here with the driver of the number 14 for one final time, Chase Frisco.
00:13Let's first and foremost talk about this team and the men and women that are standing around
00:16you right now.
00:17What do they mean to you?
00:18Yeah, they mean a ton.
00:19You know, everybody at Stuart Haas, right, has been, you know, like family.
00:23That's all I've known for the last seven years, and, you know, I've had great relationships
00:27with everybody, you know, on the 4 car, the 10 car, the 41, you know, and even more specifically
00:32the 14 guys, right?
00:33You know, I was telling somebody earlier, like, they are literally like family.
00:37Like, they come to my son's birthday parties.
00:39They literally came to our gender reveal for the twins.
00:41Like, they are a huge part of our family, and, you know, just knowing that I'll never
00:46get to race with them again is the hard part.
00:48You know, we'll always be great friends.
00:49We were joking.
00:50We're keeping the group chat alive, like all the things, but just knowing that we don't
00:55get to race, you know, together again is sad.
00:58So yeah, I had an incredible time at Stuart Haas Racing.
01:01For me, it was getting to fulfill a dream.
01:03You know, just getting to the Cup Series was fulfilling a dream, but literally as a little
01:06kid I would dress up in Tony Stewart uniform and helmet and play my racing video game,
01:10and the fact that of all the cars that I could ever drive in the Cup Series, the fact that
01:14I got to drive the 14 car and, you know, get in victory lane just meant the world to me.
01:18I was crying literally before we rolled off.
01:21I know I'm emotional, but, yeah, I didn't think it would mean that much to me.
01:27I don't think it even hit me until I saw all the guys, like, they were tearing up on pit
01:30road, too.
01:31So, yeah, special day.
01:33Wish the result would have been better, but I told them before, if we win the race, let's
01:37just have fun and enjoy it, and we've definitely laughed and smiled more after the 29th finish
01:42today than we ever have.
01:43Well, you mentioned those emotions, and I was going to ask you about those anyways.
01:47What was so emotional for you when you hopped inside the 14?
01:50Yeah, honestly, just knowing that, like I was saying, like, as a kid, like, that's literally
01:55I wanted to be Tony Stewart.
01:56Like, that is everything I wanted to be, and knowing that that was the last time this chapter
02:01of my life was ever going to happen, you know, it was just special.
02:05My mom even texted me this morning, and she was like, I can't believe the little boy that,
02:09you know, I had grow up in my house is getting to drive for the guy that he always idolized
02:13and just enjoy the moment, savor it, and I felt like I did that, you know, even like
02:17the last laps.
02:18I was racing for nothing, but I was like, I'm going to drive this thing as hard as I
02:21can just to say the last lap I ever drove was literally everything I had, so, yeah,
02:26special day.
02:27I wish the result would have been better, but, yeah, I just can't thank Stewart Haas
02:30enough.
02:31And finally, I want to talk about Chase Briscoe as a person because we've watched you develop
02:35on the track, but what folks maybe have not had an inside peek at is what this organization
02:41has done for you, the man.
02:42What has Stewart Haas done for you as a person?
02:44Yeah, they've definitely turned me into a man.
02:47I feel like, you know, when I came here, I was super naive, didn't really know anything.
02:52I'd just been engaged, and now I'm a dad of three, right?
02:54Like, I've changed a lot since then, but, yeah, I think, you know, I came in to Stewart
02:59Haas and was the young guy and didn't know anything, was super green to how NASCAR worked,
03:03and, you know, I got to, you know, learn under Kevin Harvick and Eric Almirola and these
03:07guys that were veterans of the sport, and, you know, when they went away last year, you
03:12know, it kind of made me have to grow up really, really quickly and, you know, kind of be the
03:16face of Stewart Haas, in a sense, and, you know, try to be the leader, and that was something
03:21that I never had to worry about when Kevin was there, so I had to grow up really, really
03:24quickly and lead by example, you know, with how I race my teammates, how I act at the
03:28shop, how I am in debriefs, and that's something that, you know, I'll take with me the rest
03:32of my career, and that's something without Stewart Haas and the structure that we had,
03:35you know, I would have probably never learned that.
03:38Well, go celebrate and enjoy the men and women of Stewart Haas Racing.
03:41Appreciate it.
