00:00 >> It just gives us another chance to be great and come in here,
00:04 see what we did wrong.
00:06 We had a sloppy and a third and a fourth quarter, you gotta make corrections.
00:10 >> What did it mean to have Jalen back tonight?
00:13 >> It means a lot, it means a lot.
00:14 He's looking good, he's flying around, making plays, he's being Jalen, so
00:19 blessed to have him.
00:20 >> Did you get a good look at that play right before the half when he hit
00:24 Luke Graham right before the half on that big deep throw?
00:27 What did you think about it?
00:27 >> It's just nice, I think I'm more on the side line like this.
00:31 And those are the plays he makes at practice, so
00:34 it doesn't shock us that he can make those in the game.
00:39 >> Yeah, you mentioned the kind of nice plays that he makes, and
00:41 a couple of different third down conversions like that as well.
00:43 I mean, what's it about him that he kind of makes those magical plays like that?
00:47 >> He's just different.
00:48 [LAUGH] He's been here, he's put in the work, and he knows what he's doing.
00:55 Like I said, I'm just glad he's here.
00:58 >> Thank you, appreciate it.
01:00 >> When the offense is kind of struggling in that second half to find the angle,
01:03 how big of a switch goes to you guys that, okay, it's now our turn to kind of get
01:07 the job done and seal it, when you see the offense kind of struggling to finish
01:12 the game?
01:12 >> Mm-hm, it's been a challenge because we've challenged
01:17 our defense to be the aggressor, to be the one who is always on.
01:23 So coming out and getting those stops when our offense needs it is our job.
01:29 >> In finishing this game strong in the second half, how does that kind of set up
01:33 now having to go on the road for the first time and
01:35 hopefully having a strong start and a strong finish at Nevada?
01:39 >> It sets us up really well.
01:41 I think that if we can keep starting fast and finishing strong,
01:45 we'll be a great team.
01:47 >> Thank you.
01:48 >> Yep, defensive coordinator Brian Berlin said at the end of camp that you guys are
01:52 expecting to be one of the reasons you guys win this year.
01:55 To see this type of game where the defense had such a huge impact on the victory,
02:00 what does that mean to you and especially the rest of the defense moving forward?
02:04 >> It just means that what we've been talking about is coming true.
02:07 We just gotta keep harping on it and keep showing the little details to our guys and
02:12 making sure our defense is locked down.
02:15 >> How much different is it this year kind of jumping inside and
02:17 outside on that defensive line there and being able to kind of come and
02:20 attack the quarterback from multiple different angles?
02:23 >> It's different, it's a handful, but that's what we needed to get confusion out
02:28 there, to show different looks, and I'm glad we've done that in practice and
02:32 put it in.
02:34 >> And with four different players getting sacks tonight, how big is it to be able to
02:38 have that many guys that can get some good pass rush?
02:40 >> It's good because now we can just rotate in and out, de-line them.
02:43 We don't have to just keep one person in or one line in.
02:47 We can rotate in and out and still have the same intensity.
02:52 >> Yeah, second week in a row that guys, kind of backup guys like Quentin Lasseter
02:57 and JB Brown had huge plays on the defense.
03:00 What does that mean to you guys to be able to have those guys come in and
03:03 be so impactful?
03:04 >> They're ready.
03:05 They've been watching films,
03:10 waiting on their turn, waiting on the number to get called in.
03:13 That's what we expect out of them.
03:15 >> Awesome, thank you.
