00:00 >> I'm doing all right.
00:00 >> Tell him to tell everybody.
00:03 >> All right, everybody, yep, go ahead.
00:06 >> Jason, this week seemed like last week was a lot all of a sudden about the whole
00:10 situation with the LA himself.
00:11 This week, got a little extra time to prepare.
00:13 How much of a difference does that make?
00:15 >> Yeah, it makes a huge difference.
00:17 I mean, I think the game speaks for itself.
00:21 Just being able to be with the guys the whole week and
00:25 figure out exactly what we need to do to get the W.
00:29 I think it's a huge help and I'm proud of this team for the way that they played.
00:34 And all three phases of the ball, football, special team,
00:38 I mean, offense, special teams, and defense.
00:40 And I'm just very proud of them.
00:42 >> Jason, you're running backs had almost every touchdown in this game.
00:47 At what point during the game did you realize that they were gonna be the ones
00:50 to keep the scoring going for you guys?
00:52 >> I would say probably after the first job.
00:55 Just the physicality that they run with and
00:58 I have 100% trust and belief in the O line.
01:02 And I'm very thankful for those guys.
01:05 They make my life easier on and off the field.
01:07 And I'm so thankful for this team and everybody around this team.
01:13 >> Coach mentioned that he had his concerns coming into this game that he
01:17 didn't know if you guys could bounce back.
01:19 Now that you guys have, what was the message after the game and
01:22 just what are the feelings now that you guys have this win?
01:25 >> Yeah, he's just proud of us.
01:27 Proud for the way that we prepared this week and
01:30 obviously just the way we performed today.
01:33 He knew deep down that last week was, it is what it is.
01:37 But like I said, I'm just very proud of this team and
01:41 the coaches and everybody that is involved.
01:44 >> A couple of former coaches addressed you guys, I guess, this weekend.
01:47 Did any of their message stick with you or anything resonate with you?
01:51 >> Yeah, Coach Mangino did.
01:53 I've ran into him a couple times in the past and
01:56 just always whenever he speaks, he's always a great guy to listen to.
02:00 Just from the experiences that he's been through and
02:03 the guys that he's coached and the teams that he's coached and
02:06 the things that he's went through.
02:08 I think he's a really good dude.
02:10 >> You told us earlier today that you thanked you guys for
02:14 kind of restoring pride in the program.
02:17 How did you take that?
02:20 >> Yeah, it's big.
02:23 He's one of the guys in the program that he's on the outside of the building for
02:28 a reason.
02:28 And just for him to say that and for his belief in this team and
02:33 thankfulness of this team, it means everything to me personally.
02:36 And I know everybody else on the team is thankful for
02:40 the words that he came in and gave us on Friday.
02:42 >> Hey, Jason, some of those runs, the backs had huge holes.
02:46 Just talk about the O-line.
02:48 >> Yeah, like I said, the O-line is everything for this team.
02:52 We'll go as far as they go.
02:53 They're my favorite guys and I'm very thankful for them.
02:59 Just the way they protect and block and not even that, just the people that they are.
03:05 The human beings they are, the jokes they put out during practice and make me laugh.
03:10 And just little things like that is what makes them so good and
03:14 I'm just very proud of those guys.
03:17 >> How big was it for you to have a full week to take reps with the ones and
03:21 prepare?
03:23 >> Yeah, it's huge.
03:24 I think the game kind of speaks for itself.
03:27 Last week, I'm still upset about it.
03:33 And I think I still should have performed in a better way.
03:37 But last week is over and it's a good way to bounce back this week.
03:41 >> When you guys prepared this week for all the rushing that you did,
03:44 was there something you all saw during the week and said, hey,
03:47 we can run on a super full?
03:49 >> Yeah, I think we can run on anybody in the country.
03:51 Just as long as we do our job, our assignments, do what we're coached to do,
03:55 I think our running game is up there with the best of them.
03:59 >> Jason, with how run heavy your offense was today, can you just talk about how big
04:03 of a boost it is for them to be able to have that kind of performance, but
04:05 also kind of the challenges of staying as engaged in the offense as you can be?
04:09 >> Yeah, I think it's a little challenge.
04:11 I don't think it's much of a challenge for me, the offensive line or
04:14 the running backs.
04:16 But I think just, I talked about it a little bit earlier with Nick Anderson.
04:20 The receivers, they were very humble today and
04:23 thankful that they were there to block and they had a great game too.
04:28 And some games, it's gonna be the receivers that we need to win the game and
04:32 some games, it's gonna be the running backs.
04:33 And today was one of those days for the running backs.
04:36 >> How much do you think the motion you guys employ helps open up those rushing
04:39 lanes?
04:40 >> Yeah, it helps a lot.
04:41 There's a lot of stuff.
04:43 There's a lot of defensive checks that they have to make to one formation,
04:46 then we jump into another one.
04:48 And we jump into another one, there's just a lot of checks that they have to make,
04:50 and that's very tough on the defensive.
04:52 I think that just goes to look at our preparation every week and
04:56 how we prepare.
