00:00 When you look at this game kind of predictions for the game, how do you
00:02 think the game is going to flow?
00:03 And if you want to give us a score prediction, go feel free, but like, what
00:08 are your general expectations coming out of the game?
00:09 Well, I generally think OU is going to cover OU's covered every game, but one
00:14 game this year, UCF, that was the game.
00:16 That was the first game back from Texas, even though they had a bye week to kind
00:20 of shake some of the Texas hype off of them, doesn't seem like they were able to
00:22 do that, I think UCF is a re or hopefully is a reorienting, a reorientating game
00:28 for them to allow them to recenter themselves.
00:30 I think what we'll see though is what's been going on for Oklahoma games.
00:34 Historically this year, they're going to start slow.
00:37 There's going to be some trades back and forth.
00:39 And Oklahoma will find a way to separate at the end.
00:42 Oklahoma does have a lot of what Brent Vindables calls competitive depth.
00:46 They have that ability now to really kind of go late into games.
00:50 I mean, there's, there's times in the third quarter when the game
00:52 is still very much so in doubt.
00:54 They're playing their fourth string linebacker.
00:57 They rotate guys in and out.
00:59 And honestly, they don't look bad.
01:00 They get in there for a couple of plays and they come back out and it's not like,
01:04 Oh no, they gave up a 50 yard pass.
01:06 I mean, the team still plays the system is pretty strong at that point in time.
01:09 So I think it would be, you'd see some trades back and forth at that point in
01:14 time and in Oklahoma, kind of settle things out, I think Jim Bean, you can
01:19 tell where my head is at, I think Bean will potentially have a rough day.
01:23 I'm not going to lie to you, Brent Vindables likes to throw a lot of
01:26 coverages and a lot of looks at quarterbacks and he's not quite the
01:29 dynamic quarterback that Kansas could be playing this week, this weekend.
01:33 I do have our score over on our keyhole pages, Oklahoma 38, Kansas 17.
01:39 Obviously that's me downgrading the offense a little bit because
01:42 I'm a giant Oklahoma homer.
01:43 So, so don't scream at me or do scream at me.
01:46 That's fine.
01:47 That's kind of where I see it kind of going at Oklahoma, you know,
01:50 separate themselves at the end.
01:52 Because I've seen Oklahoma play offenses that seem very good.
01:55 Like the SMU offense was very good, is very good, it's rated very good.
01:59 And Oklahoma was able to just kind of hold them down.
02:01 I don't know if Oklahoma will be able to hold Kansas down very much between the
02:06 twenties, but Oklahoma has a very, very, very strong red zone defense, as you may
02:11 have watched against that Texas game, holding them out on the four on the goal
02:14 line stand, almost doing the same against UCF, except a very, very dumb taunting
02:19 penalty gave some new life to UCF at that point in time.
02:22 But regardless of that, Oklahoma is still a very, very, very good red zone defense.
02:27 And I think we see that come to play where Kansas piles up a ton of yards, but I still
02:32 think they're gonna be able to punch it in enough to keep up or potentially
02:35 a pull off the upset.
02:36 Yeah.
02:37 See, I actually see this completely different.
02:39 I think that there's going to be a lot of offense here.
02:41 I think both teams are going to have a lot of big plays.
02:43 And I think that's where Kansas is going to make a lot of its, you know, momentum
02:47 is big, giant passing plays or big, huge rushing plays Kansas.
02:51 I believe I haven't actually pulled up the actual statistics, but I believe they
02:56 have the highest percentage of scoring plays of 20 or more yards in the nation
03:01 offensively, meaning that when they score, they typically score from pretty far out.
03:05 So, you know, at that point, red zone defense doesn't really matter as much if
03:09 it doesn't matter, you know, playing in the red zone.
03:11 I feel like this is a game where you're probably going to have Devon Neal break
03:16 off a 40 yard rushing touchdown.
03:17 You're probably going to have a Jason Bean throwing a 40 yard touchdown to
03:21 to a Mason Fairchild or Lawrence Arnold or something like that.
03:24 You're going to have multiple big, long scores, I think, from
03:28 from both of these teams.
03:29 And so it's just going to be a matter of who has the most big plays and who's
03:34 able to make the most big plays on defense.
03:36 I mean, this is a Kansas defense that I think is a lot better at turning the ball
03:39 over or that turning their opponents over than they get credit for.
03:43 You know, you have guys like Quentin Lasseter, who is a you know, he was a third
03:47 string quarterback or cornerback to start the year.
03:50 He has two interceptions on the year.
03:52 He has really kind of worked his way at the depth chart.
03:55 They have a lot of guys that can do a lot of things and cause a lot of havoc
03:57 and can force fumbles and force turnover.
04:00 So we'll see who can get the most turnovers.
04:02 I think that's going to be a big key to it.
04:03 But I also just think that this is going to be a game that is going to be very up
04:06 and down.
04:06 You know, I'm probably thinking there's going to be in the in the low 40s or so
04:10 for both teams.
04:12 I think there's going to be just a shootout.
04:13 It's going to be a lot of offense, a lot of fun.
04:15 And I think everyone's going to really enjoy it, except for, of course, the fans
04:18 of the team that actually loses.
04:19 Like they'll enjoy the game while it's happening, but they're not going to be
04:22 happy about it at the end, but.
