00:00 You can expect some big problems under the big top.
00:04 Here's a look at the brand new Trick or Treat Studios Screamgrates Killer Clowns from Outer Space Shorty.
00:10 Trick or Treat Studios is proud to present the officially licensed Killer Clowns from Outer Space action figures
00:27 as part of their Screamgrates Series 1 collection. Screamgrates feature iconic characters from some of your favorite cinematic masterpieces.
00:33 Each highly detailed figure is 8 inches in scale and would be perfect for display in any collection.
00:39 The interesting thing about cotton candy is while it may be bad for your teeth, it's great for your digestion.
00:44 Before of course we get a closer look at Shorty the Killer Clown from Outer Space, let me send a big thank you intergalactically
00:49 to the folks over at Trick or Treat Studios that did provide this sample of the new Screamgrates Series 1 Killer Clown from Outer Space Shorty
00:55 that we could have a look at this review. The figure though is living up to its name.
00:59 He is a little shorter than the other two we've already had a look at. Not quite reaching at 8 inches in height,
01:03 the figure is actually more close to be 7 and a quarter inches or the figure is going to be about 18 centimeters tall.
01:09 Now three figures in having already looked at the 1978 Michael Myers and following things up with the 1980 Motel Hell Farmer Vincent,
01:16 yeah Shorty is the shortest of the batch. This won't change at all when we look at the other two Killer Clowns from this first wave.
01:21 Slim and Fatso are going to be a lot taller than this figure as well.
01:25 Speaking of Killer Clowns, not only we're blessed by the idea we're getting three Killer Clowns from just this first wave alone,
01:30 but already showing images online, Trick or Treat Studios have already announced a second wave of Killer Clowns
01:35 where we're going to be getting an additional three, totaling a total of six. That's amazing news for Killer Clown fans out there.
01:41 Speaking of Killer Clowns, let's also free up a little bit of space between Farmer Vincent and Shorty,
01:46 bringing in another Shorty. This is one that we got from before from Amok Time.
01:51 Not only short on size, but sadly short on accessories. This Killer Clown from outer space doesn't come included with any accessories.
01:57 But to be fair though, he does have boxing gloves on the ends of his forearms,
02:00 so it's not like he really would have the means to hold anything anyways.
02:03 Both Slim and Fatso are also going to come included with their cotton candy guns,
02:07 so they're already going to be covered when it comes to the territory for weapons.
02:10 I'm fine for really just having Shorty being displayed as he is right now.
02:13 One thing at least could be said, at least for the figure, is that while he is limited when it comes to posability,
02:18 basically from like the neck down, he still possesses the necessary posability points in his shoulders, in his head.
02:24 But also as well, you can rotate his boxing gloves, which is nice to see.
02:28 All of the figures that we've looked at so far, I know I did struggle a little bit with Michael Myers and being able to actually rotate his hands,
02:34 you can actually turn the hands. They are a little bit resistant though, you can always just heat them up a little bit with hot water.
02:39 Head sculpt wise for Shorty, I really like the way that this one is done.
02:43 Instead of taking the approach of coloring this guy in a chalk white,
02:46 they've added almost a little bit of a pearl purple coloring, a slight bit of a tint.
02:50 Now when we also look at Slim and we also look at Fatso,
02:53 they have also adopted that little bit of pearlesque coloring to their paint.
02:57 I really like the approach that they went with there.
02:59 Head sculpt though, you get a big smiling face from ear to ear, large protruding rosy cheeks,
03:04 and a big bulbous clown nose are all afforded here for this figure.
03:07 He does have the notable sported green hair that sticks out the sides,
03:11 sort of looks a little bit like inspired from Krusty the Clown,
03:14 and a big pointed bit of hair sticking out the top of his head as well.
03:17 I like the head sculpt quite a bit. I've got a little smudge unfortunately on mine.
03:21 I don't know if it's supposed to be there or not.
03:23 Other than that though, I really like the way that this one actually was sculpted and painted.
03:27 Of course when it comes to the rest of his body, I'm sure we probably are going to be getting a variation of this guy.
03:31 Like Amok Time had done before, they had released their version of Shorty,
03:36 released two other times before. I think one notably had red hair, and one maybe had blue hair.
03:40 I'm sure we're probably going to get this guy released again in a slightly different color scheme, and sign me up for that.
03:45 The sculpting of his body looked really quite good.
03:47 He's got again his very large clown costuming that sort of frills out down below here,
03:52 a little bit tapered off around the sections of his knees, but again like there's no posability there at all.
03:56 Nicely colored in stars. Those stars aren't simply just painted in place.
04:00 You can see actually they've outlined it, so they actually stick up a little bit off the surface of the actual suit itself.
04:05 And of course he's always got these nice little bands of coloring of red all up the sides of his sleeves.
04:09 Paint again, really nicely done on all his figures.
04:12 I did say this when we looked at Farmer Vincent, that the kind of plastic is kind of really hard to describe.
04:17 It's a good quality of plastic that has a little bit of a rubberiness to it.
04:21 I feel I prefer this kind of plastic over the more brittle type that you really feel like you're always kind of walking on eggshells,
04:27 worrying that things are going to be breaking on the figure.
04:29 Well, yes, there's always a possibility that things like hinge joints there for his shoulders are always riskable of being broken.
04:35 I don't feel like I'm really having to walk on eggshells as much when it comes to picking up these figures.
04:39 Not only do they look good, not only do they paint good, or painted well, but also again like the plastic is really good on these.
04:45 Now for the posability here for Shorty, we're going to start things off first with his head sculpt.
04:49 Very little in the way of territory that we'll really have to cover when it comes to the guy's articulation.
04:54 Again, he's only got really just the ball joint, but again, I'm glad that they decided at least to use a ball joint rather than just a straight swivel.
05:02 A straight swivel sure would have gotten the job done, but I think for a figure lying like this,
05:06 they really need to add the ball joint in the neck, and they certainly do have it.
05:10 So you can rock the head back and forth this way.
05:12 He doesn't move down as much though.
05:14 I mean, there's really not as much range necessarily as the Michael Myers or the Farmer Vincent.
05:19 Both of those figures, I think, had a little bit better posability in the heads than maybe what we're getting here for Shorty,
05:25 but he has it where it counts.
05:27 Again, you can rotate the head all the way around really if you wanted to.
05:29 Stopping just for a second to look at this.
05:31 Kind of looks like, was it Mambari? Mambari hair from Babylon 5? How's that for a reference?
05:36 But again, really nicely sculpted hair.
05:38 The thing I've noticed though about the head is that while you do turn the head around,
05:42 periodically it does pop itself off the ball joints.
05:44 You know, again, just a simple fix.
05:46 Don't put your finger against this, whatever you do.
05:49 Just pop it back down onto the ball peg.
05:51 As for the arms, they do rotate all the way around, and that's the case on both sides.
05:54 It might be a little harder, of course.
05:56 It's going to obviously hit the sides of the hair, but yeah, they do rotate all the way around.
06:00 The arms do come out at about 90 degrees.
06:03 I did notice though on Shorty, unlike the other two figures, his hinges are a little tighter.
06:08 More so on this side, on this side here.
06:10 I mean, they still come out at 90 degrees, so there's a nice range of motion there.
06:14 And again, you do rotate them all the way around.
06:16 The boxing gloves, again, nice to see that they did rotate those all the way around.
06:19 And again, like really when you're looking at the rest of the figure, there's no other possibility.
06:23 Again, I don't think he really necessarily needs it.
06:26 One thing that's also very different is not only just the fact that he's a clown from outer space,
06:29 but also Shorty doesn't have peg holes, strangely, on the bottoms of his feet.
06:34 Both Michael Myers, which I'm wearing Michael Myers in right now,
06:36 so you can see the undersoles of his shoes, did have peg holes on the undersides of his.
06:40 And also Farmer Vincent, which I was using a display stand for a while,
06:43 just because of the way they've sculpted the legs.
06:45 He does also have peg holes on the undersides of his feet.
06:47 And yet, strangely omitted here when it comes to Shorty.
06:50 I'm not really sure why they decided not to put peg holes on the bottoms of his feet.
06:53 It's not really a case where the figure has toppling issues.
06:56 In fact, he stands one of the best of the three figures we've already had a look at.
06:59 Speaking of those other figures, bringing back in Michael Myers, bringing back in Farmer Vincent.
07:04 I mean, would you ever really see a line like this where you would have so many different obscure characters running around?
07:09 I mean, obviously, Michael Myers is an obscure.
07:11 Killer Klowns is a more cult classic film now.
07:15 But back in the day, very few people would have really remembered Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
07:19 I'm glad to see that they're seeing a light of day, not only with tons of merchandise,
07:22 but a brand new figure line up, at least part of the Scream Greats line that we're getting from Trick or Treat Studios.
07:27 Not only are we blessed by the idea of getting Shorty, but also as well, this very same first wave,
07:33 we're also getting the taller Slim and a much fatter Fatso.
07:37 If you're a big fan of Killer Klowns from Outer Space, look no further than what we're getting here from Trick or Treat Studios.
07:42 Limited yes, limited yes when it comes to posability points, but more than making up with, with really cool looking figures.
07:48 I know when Amok Time had tackled the Killer Klowns from Outer Space property, they had released a version of Shorty.
07:53 Then they released a variation of Shorty.
07:55 Instead of actually having the yellow outfit, it was purple.
07:57 And instead of having the classic green hairstyle, it was red instead. Same old.
08:01 I'm sure something as brilliant, probably going to be similarly done here for Shorty.
08:05 I'm sure Trick or Treat Studios could get the most mileage out of this mold and not release it again.
08:09 Different variations, of course, basically have the same similar looking clown.
08:12 They could probably do, in fact, using the same mold for Shorty and just not release the figure again a couple of times more.
08:17 Now, we'll always still get the unique looking design Killer Klowns.
08:20 We're already getting a Slim, we're already getting a Fatso.
08:22 And then we're also getting, if you could believe it already, another three Killer Klowns as part of the second wave of Scream Greats.
08:28 So there's again, a lot of Killer Klowns stuff to go around.
08:32 And again, I can't believe that we're even having this discussion.
08:34 I said this when we were looking at Farmer Vincent.
08:37 The fact that we were even looking at a Farmer Vincent figure into the 2024, it was just a crazy idea.
08:43 The fact that we're getting as many Killer Klown releases from Trick or Treat Studios, three from this wave, three from the upcoming second wave.
08:50 It's a good time to be a Killer Klowns fan.
08:52 A big thank you once again to the folks over at Trick or Treat Studios that did, of course, yes, provide the sample of the Shorty from the new Scream Greats wave one that we can have a look at this review.
09:01 I think what I might end up doing though, just because again, there's still two more Klowns to look at.
09:05 I might take a bit of a break from the Klowns and look at some of the other territory that they've covered that's non Killer Klown related.
09:11 And then of course, we'll be going back to the Klowns in upcoming videos.
09:14 The key to making sure that you're not missing out on any of that.
09:17 First, if you guys enjoyed this video, why don't you throw it a like.
09:19 But second of all, of course, if you guys want to stick around for more and you haven't already done so, make sure you do the things of hitting that subscribe button down below.
09:26 And the other equally, although sometimes strange idea of also turning on the bell notification.
09:31 Between those two things, it'll ensure that you're also always coming back here on a regular basis.
09:35 And you'll also be in the know when the next Scream Great review goes up, which again, we'll be doing all week long.
09:42 So again, we will be looking at so far, we've already covered Michael Myers on Monday.
09:46 Then we looked at Farmer Vincent on Tuesday.
09:48 Today being Wednesday, we had a look at the Killer Klowns.
09:50 It's irrelevant now.
09:51 Anybody going back and watch this review, they're going to be like, well, I'm watching this on Thursday.
09:54 At the time of doing this and posting this at least, Shorty went up on Wednesday.
09:58 Then we're going to be looking at one on Thursday for all the rest of the week.
10:01 So if you are a big fan, you definitely want to see the rest of the Scream Greats, making sure you're coming back.
10:05 You know where to come back.
10:06 Come back to this channel.
10:07 It's definitely going to be a lot more videos coming your way.
10:09 As always, guys, thanks for watching.
10:11 See you guys next time.
