00:00 hmm I wonder if he's spending his Saturday mornings with Scooby-Doo here's
00:04 your look at the brand-new NECA Toonie terrors Vincent Price
00:09 bring the fun of Saturday morning cartoons your horror collection with the
00:26 adorable little creeps of Toonie Terror NECA's line of stylized horror icons
00:30 standing approximately six inches tall this Vincent Price figure joins the
00:34 Toonie Terror's line the figure comes in a blister card packaging with bonus
00:38 cutout backdrop I'm not gonna criticize the way you keep your 13 goes but I'm
00:42 just saying having a great day near your chest of demons it's a bad idea before of
00:46 course we get a closer look at Vincent Price the tape measure is telling us
00:50 that he stands at five and a half inches in height or he's 14 centimeters tall a
00:54 thing that's interesting about Vincent Price is while we usually have the
00:59 discussion of Toonie Terror saying that they look like characters that could
01:01 appear in an episode of Scooby-Doo both Vincent Price and Elvira are the only
01:05 two characters from Toonie Terror that could actually say that they appeared in
01:08 Scooby-Doo medium Elvira would have appeared in a Scooby-Doo movie while
01:11 Vincent Price would have lent his likeness and his voice to the character
01:14 Vincent Van Gould in the short-lived Saturday Scooby-Doo series the 13 ghosts
01:18 of Scooby-Doo although he didn't actually look like this to show you
01:22 though what he does look like with the remaining Toonie Terror's we've already
01:24 had a look at here's what the character looks like with Megan and on to the
01:27 other side here's what your character looks like with the Misfits Fiend and
01:31 just watch for your brain Vincent here in the background is what the character
01:33 looks like with a return of the living dead Tar Man boy do I hope we get a
01:37 flim-flam figure at some point no one ever the accessories that come in
01:42 clear with Vincent Price first the character comes in clear with a black
01:44 cat now I don't know if they just chose a black cat because the whole idea of a
01:47 black cat crossing your paths is bad luck or if Vincent Price did actually
01:50 own a black cat with the ears low like this and partially squinting eyes does
01:54 it kind of look like the black cat that makes the rounds on Instagram somebody
01:58 uses the image of the cat squinting and then down below put some witty comment
02:01 like the face the husband gives his wife when the wife says you can take out the
02:04 trash and he realizes that she's already made several rounds in the kitchen to
02:08 grab her snacks that cat's made some big buck my cat was doing this years ago I
02:13 didn't even realize you can make some money from that the cat has no
02:16 articulation whatsoever so it's just more something is maybe displayed again
02:21 along with Vincent Price the character though can be displayed at least with
02:25 the next accessories that he comes included with he has as of right now a
02:28 hand that's holding a cigarette it's strange to see that a character get
02:32 released by NECA actually does have a cigarette but Vincent Price was known
02:36 for smoking quite a lot on set the character though if he weren't so crazy
02:39 about the idea of him smoking he does also come in clue with a skull and a
02:43 hand for holding the skull the skull first is painted nicely very bright
02:47 white I don't have any real paint problems I have a little bit of like
02:50 marred plastic at the bottom of his of his jaw I don't know who this jaw
02:55 actually belonged to other than that though like it does look really good and
02:58 again if you wanted to have it displayed with Vincent Price as opposed to the
03:01 smoke the hand itself does as you can see have a smoke on the end of a little
03:05 cigarette looks like there's a couple ashes on the end of it as well it's not
03:08 lit so at least you know they're not advocating for smoking Vincent Price
03:12 just happens to you know in this case he's just carrying around a smoke it's
03:15 not even really a showpiece either it's like one of those Popeye cigarettes you
03:18 ever had Popeye cigarettes as a kid they have they still sell them but they don't
03:22 sell them surprisingly with a little red on the end of it now they're just sticks
03:25 that's not good for anybody what you can do though is you can just attach the
03:29 hand like this and then you just replace it with this hand it's strange because
03:32 it looks like he's carrying around an invisible tray or it also looks like he
03:36 used one to get a little bit of a handle like a change or spare change but if you
03:40 wanted to you can have yourself the skull you just place it inside the hand
03:43 like this and Vincent Price I think it's just doing a little bit more than just
03:47 having him with a cigarette I mean if you like this cigarette it's all the
03:50 power to you but I think just the skull just because he's like one of the
03:53 masters of horror it just makes more sense I feel to have the figure
03:56 displayed with the skull I like that you at least get options let's go ahead and
04:00 remove that for right now I know I know it's gonna look a little out of place
04:03 the fact he's not actually holding anything but the figure does have
04:06 limiter articulation you could almost bring the hand closer to his body if you
04:10 don't pop the hand off in the process let's get the back hand get the hand
04:14 back in there plugs in place yeah I thought for example you could maybe have
04:18 it closer to his his waist but like it doesn't turn nearly enough and even the
04:23 times you try to turn it you might just end up doing what I just ended up doing
04:26 just popping the hand off completely from his sleeve so you could kind of do
04:29 it like this it just looks a little bit more awkward unfortunately it's one of
04:32 those toony terrors that he's pretty posed in the sense that sure yes he has
04:36 the articulation in his shoulders but I mean really what are you gonna be able
04:39 to do with it it looks like he's carrying around an invisible tray and it
04:41 looks like he's actually like saluting I don't know something off to the side
04:44 here just looks a little out of place obviously you're only gonna want to have
04:48 it the one way head sculpt wise it looks certainly like Vincent Price if you were
04:51 to make him more to a cartoon I like the little thin mustache that they painted
04:55 on his face very thin also very exaggerated eyebrows as well and they've
04:59 matched the colors very nicely to the two-tone grays that he has in his hair
05:04 very nicely painted I would love to see this guy get released and it's very
05:08 unlikely that they've even acquired the Scooby-Doo licensing but they actually
05:11 get a Vincent Van Goole with the popped collar with the cape or even the little
05:15 crystal ball with the green version of him make that happen if you can neck of
05:19 toys but like for the rest of his outfit he has the gray jacket the gray pants
05:23 they painted those nicely matching colors of course he does have a little
05:26 bit of sleeve that sticks out the end of his of his main jacket portion of course
05:30 he's also got a little handkerchief nicely painted in shirt he's also got
05:34 himself the little little scarf piece tucked in there in red I will say like
05:38 the red does bring in a little bit of next nice color because just if not for
05:41 that the colors of him are pretty gray I mean gray for the suit gray for the
05:45 pants gray obviously in his hair as well I think the red brings a little bit
05:48 nice a little bit more extra colors to the palette now again for his
05:52 articulation he's very limited but you know just despite the fact that he has
05:56 very close quarters feet and he's very broad in the shoulders
05:59 Vincent Price actually is one of the easiest figures to stand from the two
06:02 knee tears even if you did want to go the crazy route of actually displaying
06:06 the figure with exaggerated arms like this as silly as that may look the
06:09 figure doesn't have any issues whatsoever to stand in fact for the
06:12 figures articulation Vincent Price's head is on a ball joint it does look
06:16 down pretty good as well as up rotating it all the way around is where you're
06:20 gonna notice there's a lot of restrictions a lot of hang up you're not
06:23 gonna be able to turn it all the way around but for looking down looking up
06:27 and even twisting it off to the side you can easily pull that off shoulders also
06:30 do rotate all the way around but again because they're pretty posed the way
06:33 that they are it looks the most obviously realistic and natural just to
06:37 have the arms kind of parallel to the rest of his body this arm again rotates
06:41 all the way around but really what are you gonna do with it what are you gonna
06:43 do with it hands rotate also all the way around whether you decide you want to
06:46 use this hand or you want to be line it back to the one that has the smoke they
06:50 rotate the exact same way and then this hand also does rotate back and forth but
06:54 there's no articulation here for the waist and there's certainly no
06:57 articulation not that you I mean I shouldn't say certainly I mean assuming
07:01 that you guys already know this but there's no articulation at all for the
07:04 ankles well he does have at least on the bombs of his ankles his peg holes on the
07:07 undersides of his heels though the figure does have the means to be
07:10 displayed with a display stand like I said he really doesn't necessarily need
07:14 a display stand he's one of the easiest figures to be standing from the new to
07:17 knee tears speaking of those two knee tears by the way not to get too close to
07:20 squinting eye black cat again here's what he looks like Megan here's what he
07:25 looks like with the return of the living dead tar man and here's what the figure
07:28 looks like with the fiend nice bunch of characters I'm glad that we did finally
07:32 get ourselves a Vincent price a long overdue character and again ironically
07:36 enough both him and Elvira did appear actually in an episode or something
07:40 related to scooby-doo at least even though again he didn't look like this in
07:43 the scooby-doo 13 ghosts of scooby-doo Saturday series in fact we do finally get
07:47 ourselves a Vincent price I might just end up displaying this guy with some of
07:50 my scooby-doo figures so we did start the review of Vincent price with him
07:54 actually holding the smoke in between his fingers decide to swap things out
07:57 and change it to my more preferred look of the figure and having him carrying
08:00 around the skull granted the skull is the only thing that's an imperfection of
08:03 the figure everything else has been nicely painted I just have that little
08:06 bit of plastic marring on the side of his jaw I don't know I can't speak for
08:10 whether that's gonna be across the board if everybody's gonna have that similar
08:12 problem if you have though picked up the two knee tears Vincent price please and
08:16 thank you let me know if your skull has a similar problem for the size of what
08:20 it is and the fact it's an accessory who really cares it's nicely painted as well
08:24 as the tiny little cat that comes to clear with him that little Instagram
08:26 black squinting cat boy that thing's adorable it's all I can think of now
08:30 when I'm looking at it doesn't have any possibility and it doesn't really need
08:33 to have possibility either Vincent price has the accessories that he should have
08:37 and he's nicely painted from head to toe I do like that they've added the little
08:40 red collar piece adding that scarf having it in red you think of Vincent
08:44 price you think of blood you think of blood you think of red you think of red
08:47 you think of scarves for jackets at least I think of red scarves and I'm
08:51 glad to see that figure had a little bit of color that's breaking up the
08:54 otherwise all gray and white treatment that he has for him he's a little bit
08:57 articulation but he's not as limited for example as the fiends the feed had only
09:02 what just head in the wrist the tar man had five points of articulation the head
09:05 the shoulders and the wrists so like Vincent price is in line with like the
09:09 tar man maybe not as articulated as the Megan but that's okay like again with
09:14 these two knee tears you kind of go in there knowing exactly what kind of
09:17 levels of possibility that these guys possess with only just again having what
09:21 head the shoulders and the wrist five points articulation I don't think you
09:24 really needed anything more than that and and the figure actually stands fine
09:28 it's not one of those cases where if you're moving the arms out for example
09:31 tar man kind of had a bit of an issue with that where if you're moving his
09:34 arm too far up then it sort of does throw off his balance a little bit
09:37 doesn't seem to affect at all Vincent price as a side note though I do hope we
09:42 get a Vincent price as Vincent van Goulle again I don't know what NECA toys
09:46 has for the extent of their scooby-doo licensing the fact that we have nothing
09:50 scooby-doo related makes me think that they don't have a license at all for it
09:53 just though a Vincent van Goulle forget about flimflam we don't need a flim
09:58 flam figure what do you guys don't think of Vincent price let me know down below
10:01 in the comments section and let me just throw this out to you the viewing
10:04 audience if you guys haven't been collecting in these two knee tears
10:07 based at least on the four figures we've looked at from the current wave which
10:10 character could you guys see yourselves picking up let me know down below in the
10:13 comments section in the meantime though these characters are all available in in
10:17 store or online if you don't have as much luck in store and you have better
10:21 luck online like I do well obviously that's the outlet that you're gonna have
10:25 to go it may mean though like myself my own circumstances of picking up these
10:29 figures you pay a little bit more form but at least you can actually find them
10:32 because you know again checking in local stores squat nothing I'd be making the
10:38 same squinting face as that black cat from Instagram every single time I go to
10:41 a comic book store and they're just stalking old NECA things I'm just like
10:45 squinting at them thinking oh I wonder if they're thinking I'm looking like the
10:48 black cat they're probably just thinking I'm a complete jerk and hope that I
10:51 leave the store but it's definitely gonna be a lot more NECA reviews coming
10:54 your way guys in the meantime if you guys did enjoy this video I want thrown
10:57 a like if you guys are loving the content you guys are seeing and you
10:59 certainly do want to stick around for more if you haven't already done so make
11:02 sure you hit that subscribe button down below and you're turning on the bell
11:04 notification as always guys thanks for watching see you guys next time
