00:18 When we are in faith, we have two surahs that are our guidance.
00:23 Surah Al-An'am is a surah that provides guidance to the faith, to the blessings of Allah.
00:30 Whereas when we look at Surah Al-A'raf, Allah reminds us of history,
00:35 about the days when Allah helped and He needs to be given attention.
00:39 Ayyamillah, and it has a strong reminder for us to truly take a stand towards Allah.
00:48 We will follow the discussion in this episode of Ulang Khaji.

02:36 Ladies and gentlemen, may Allah bless you.
02:38 We meet again in My Quran Time, Quran Salat Unfaq.
02:40 Today, we would like to go through and review two pages that we have studied this week.
02:47 The page 151, starting from Surah Al-A'raf, and page 152 with Al-Fadhil Ustaz Zarifi.
02:56 How are you, Ustaz?
02:57 Alhamdulillah, thank you Ustaz for your health.
02:59 Alhamdulillah, and welcome once again to My Quran Time.
03:03 Together with Ustaz Tirmizi, how are you?
03:05 Alhamdulillah, I am fine.
03:07 Ustaz Zarifi is back to enlighten us with his friends in the studio.
03:12 Welcome to the Istiqamah group.
03:17 We pray that these are the representatives who will spread the Quran.
03:20 And also, dear audience at home, as an Istiqamah group from far away,
03:25 we pray that Allah continues to provide knowledge full of wisdom,
03:29 and continue to bless the Quran as a guide to God.
03:34 We start with the prayer, Subhanakallah.
03:36 [Al-Quran 151]
03:44 Today, we want to review two pages, Surah Al-A'raf, the seventh Surah,
03:50 with Al-Fadhil Ustaz Zarifi.
03:51 And just now, we read the first verse and the second verse from Surah Al-A'raf,
03:56 which means the highest place, the highest place between heaven and hell.
04:02 In the beginning of this verse, in the second verse, Allah states,
04:05 [Al-Quran 151]
04:11 The word "haraj" is used to explain in the first place,
04:16 why the tone for this Surah starts with the explanation,
04:21 [Al-Quran 151]
04:23 Please.
04:24 Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
04:26 Al-Fadhil Ustaz Fazrul, Al-Fadhil Ustaz Tirmizi,
04:29 and all the viewers, Muslims,
04:33 Surah Al-A'raf contains 206 verses in total.
04:39 This is the seventh Surah out of 114 Surahs,
04:43 and this Surah was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
04:48 Of course, Al-Fadhil Ustaz,
04:51 this Surah was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW
04:55 when the Prophet Muhammad was facing a very big test,
05:00 especially when he was in Makkah.
05:02 When he was in Makkah, the Prophet was threatened,
05:04 the Prophet was threatened,
05:05 the Prophet was threatened, etc.
05:07 The Musyrikin of Makkah, Quraysh,
05:08 made to the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
05:10 Of course, this verse,
05:12 [Al-Quran 151]
05:19 This verse gives a motivation
05:22 and also strength to the Prophet Muhammad SAW,
05:26 so that whatever the test,
05:28 he should not feel the pressure,
05:31 he should not feel burdened,
05:33 he should not feel heavy.
05:38 For number one,
05:40 to give a warning from the Holy Quran.
05:44 This is a direction from Allah SWT,
05:48 so that the Prophet Muhammad SAW
05:50 can be consistent
05:52 and consistently convey the warnings,
05:55 for the sake of the warnings,
05:57 from the Holy Quran.
06:00 Secondly, this verse also gives a motivation,
06:06 so that there is no doubt
06:12 about the Holy Quran.
06:14 So, do not lose your spirit,
06:16 do not be afraid to spread the Holy Quran.
06:19 Secondly, do not have any doubt
06:23 about the Holy Quran.
06:25 So, this is one of the definitions
06:27 given by the scholars
06:29 in the context of the second verse,
06:31 [Al-Quran 151]
06:32 Thank you for explaining to us,
06:34 to explain the word 'haraj'
06:36 in the second verse,
06:38 there are two things,
06:39 firstly, do not lose your spirit,
06:41 secondly, do not have any doubt
06:45 or feel that the Quran is difficult.
06:48 Actually, the Quran is the 'Dhikr'
06:51 of the believers,
06:52 which is stated in the second verse,
06:54 a reminder for the believers,
06:56 of course, a reminder for what?
06:58 For us to be safe,
07:00 to go to Allah SWT.
07:03 The third verse,
07:04 a call from Allah SWT,
07:06 what do we need to do
07:08 to all humans,
07:10 compare or interact
07:13 with the book
07:15 revealed by Allah?
07:17 We read the third verse
07:18 together with Al-Fadlul-Sahih al-Tirmidhi.
07:20 Please go ahead.
07:21 [Al-Fadlul-Sahih al-Tirmidhi]
07:24 [Arabic]
07:49 [Arabic]
08:11 The third verse,
08:12 Allah SWT says,
08:13 [Arabic]
08:15 [Arabic]
08:17 [Arabic]
08:19 And Allah says,
08:20 [Arabic]
08:22 "Do not follow anyone but Him,
08:24 as a saint"
08:25 We have found this word "saint"
08:27 in Surah Al-Ma'idah,
08:28 but in the beginning of Surah Al-A'raf,
08:31 why is the book of the Quran
08:33 assigned to "following others,
08:36 as a saint"?
08:37 Isn't a saint usually
08:38 related to Allah and the Messenger?
08:40 Please.
08:41 Al-Fadlul-Sahih al-Tirmidhi,
08:43 I remember in a narration
08:46 from Imam al-Nasai,
08:48 Sayyidina Aisha RA
08:51 once reported that
08:53 the Messenger of Allah SAW
08:55 once recited in his prayer,
08:57 Surah Al-A'raf,
08:59 which has 206 verses,
09:02 in Maghrib prayer,
09:04 in two rak'ahs,
09:06 and he divided the 206 verses
09:08 into two.
09:10 Satir, 206 divided into two,
09:13 is 103.
09:15 103, right?
09:16 Yes, 103.
09:17 I'm not a mathematician.
09:19 The point is,
09:20 ladies and gentlemen,
09:21 the Messenger of Allah SAW
09:24 gives a sign
09:26 of how important
09:28 Surah Al-A'raf is in our lives
09:30 to take guidance.
09:32 Let's go to verse number two.
09:34 This verse is really relevant
09:38 to us today,
09:40 the people of the end of times.
09:42 We are facing all the challenges,
09:44 left, right, front, and back,
09:46 that we are facing now.
09:48 This verse is really relevant
09:50 as a reminder to us,
09:52 not to follow other things
09:54 other than the Quran.
09:56 The word 'awliya' in this verse,
09:59 the scholars have translated it,
10:01 means,
10:02 don't follow your egoistic desires.
10:05 Don't follow your close friends.
10:08 Don't follow your close companions.
10:11 Don't follow your leaders
10:13 or your leaders
10:14 who are keeping you away
10:16 from the Quran.
10:19 Ladies and gentlemen,
10:21 this verse is a reminder
10:24 that is really relevant
10:26 to us today.
10:28 Today, we are facing a big challenge.
10:30 We each have gadgets in our hands.
10:33 We have mobile phones.
10:35 Today, we have a lot of information
10:37 in our hands.
10:39 Ustaz Fazrul,
10:41 in the age of AI,
10:43 all you have to do is press the button
10:45 and everything will come out.
10:48 Ladies and gentlemen,
10:50 today, it could happen that
10:52 people don't ask Ustaz Fazrul
10:54 or Ustaz Termizi for legal action.
10:56 People will only ask for robots.
10:58 Maybe,
11:00 the idea that will come out
11:02 is that you don't need to read the Quran
11:04 or Ustaz Fazrul.
11:06 You only need to read the robot.
11:08 One day, we will face that time.
11:11 So, this verse is really relevant.
11:14 Hold on to the Quran.
11:16 Refer to the Quran.
11:18 Pay attention to the Quran.
11:20 Don't practice.
11:22 Don't be friends with anyone
11:24 who is keeping us away
11:26 from the Quran.
11:29 Especially,
11:31 people who are teaching us
11:33 to avoid understanding
11:35 the Quran.
11:37 Ustaz Fazrul,
11:39 Allah Almighty said in the last three verses,
11:42 "Qalilamma tathakkarun."
11:45 "Qalilamma tathakkarun."
11:50 "Qalilamma tathakkarun."
11:52 "Qalilamma tathakkarun."
11:54 "Qalilamma tathakkarun."
11:56 "Qalilamma tathakkarun."
11:58 So, this is a reminder to us
12:00 that "Qalilamma tathakkarun"
12:02 is a little bit of a reminder
12:04 and many reminders
12:06 are not many that are taken.
12:08 Just a little bit that you,
12:10 when Allah says "you"
12:12 as one, is a big reminder.
12:14 Although this verse is addressed
12:16 to people who are not originally Muslims,
12:18 but it is also relevant to us.
12:20 Because we read it
12:22 and hope it is a commitment
12:24 to us with the Quran.
12:26 We take a break now.
12:28 We will be back after this in My Quran Time.
12:30 Quran Salah Al-Infah.

16:02 We will be back in My Quran Time.
16:04 Quran Salah Al-Infah today.
16:06 Together we will be reading page 151
16:08 and 152 with Al-Fadhil Ustaz Zarifi.
16:10 And the fourth verse was read
16:12 a while ago.
16:14 A continuation from the beginning of Surah Al-A'raf
16:16 as a warning
16:18 from Allah.
16:20 [Arabic]
16:26 Ustaz Zarifi, in the beginning Allah said
16:28 how many people before this
16:30 were destroyed,
16:32 were erased,
16:34 at night, at day.
16:36 Why this harshness of the beginning of Surah Al-A'raf?
16:38 Allahumma salli 'ala Sayyidina Muhammad
16:40 wa 'ala alihi Sayyidina Muhammad
16:42 Ustaz Fazrul,
16:44 Shaykh Tirmidzi and all of you.
16:46 Surah Al-A'raf has
16:48 three main themes or main contents
16:50 that are discussed in
16:52 Surah Al-A'raf.
16:54 The first is faith
16:56 or Tawheed to Allah SWT
16:58 in worship and in
17:00 prayer. That is one.
17:02 The second, in Surah Al-A'raf
17:04 it also tells about
17:06 the law of law.
17:08 The law of law of drinking and eating.
17:10 And the third,
17:12 it also tells about the stories
17:14 of the prophets and messengers
17:16 of the past with their people.
17:18 The story of Prophet Adam and
17:20 Iblis, the story of Prophet Noah
17:22 and his people,
17:24 the story of Prophet Saleh and his people,
17:26 the story of Prophet Shu'aib and his people
17:28 and also the story of Prophet Musa
17:30 and Pharaoh.
17:32 The fourth verse
17:34 that Ustaz Fazrul and Ustaz Tirmidzi
17:36 read a while ago,
17:38 this verse gives
17:40 a reminder to us.
17:42 Don't be like
17:44 the people of the past
17:46 who were punished by Allah
17:48 above the world
17:50 after the disbelief.
17:52 Allah punished them above the world.
17:54 The people of Prophet Shu'aib
17:56 were punished in the afternoon,
17:58 in the middle of their rest.
18:00 In the middle of their rest.
18:02 In the middle of their rest.
18:04 Maybe they ate fried bananas.
18:06 Right?
18:08 They were resting.
18:10 There was nothing.
18:12 But at that time, Allah punished them.
18:14 Allah destroyed them.
18:16 The people of Prophet Shu'aib.
18:18 The people of Prophet Lut, Allah punished them
18:20 at night when they were
18:22 having fun.
18:24 When they were having fun.
18:26 They were having fun.
18:28 At that time, Allah punished them.
18:30 It is the same
18:32 with the story of
18:34 the people of Prophet Saleh.
18:36 Allah rewarded
18:38 the people of Prophet Saleh
18:40 with
18:42 what is it called?
18:44 With some powers.
18:46 The people of 'Ak, Kam, Thamud.
18:48 Allah rewarded them with
18:50 very masculine.
18:52 Strong people.
18:54 If you want to lift a stone, just relax.
18:56 It is okay.
18:58 Allah rewarded them with knowledge.
19:00 They were experts in
19:02 architecture.
19:04 They were able to turn
19:06 the hard mountains
19:08 into a beautiful condominium.
19:10 They were able to make it
19:12 a place of rest.
19:14 But because
19:16 their disobedience to Allah
19:18 did not follow
19:20 the things that
19:22 were said by Prophet Saleh,
19:24 they were destroyed
19:26 by Allah.
19:28 This verse is also a reminder
19:30 to us.
19:32 We always think that
19:34 trials come in a difficult form.
19:36 Challenges, trials,
19:38 sickness, fever, etc.
19:40 So that we forget that
19:42 Allah's trials can also reach us
19:44 in a state
19:46 where we are happy,
19:48 we are comfortable, etc.
19:50 Ladies and gentlemen,
19:52 a question from me.
19:54 Between trials when we are in trouble
19:56 and trials when we are happy,
19:58 which one do we remember
20:00 Allah for?
20:02 Which one is a difficult trial
20:04 or a trial when we are happy,
20:06 comfortable, rich, etc.
20:08 Which one do we remember Allah for?
20:10 My answer is, ladies and gentlemen,
20:12 we always remember Allah.
20:14 We will remember Allah when Allah tests us
20:16 with sickness, trouble, etc.
20:18 Compared to when we are at the top,
20:20 compared to when we are
20:22 in the city of fame,
20:24 at that time,
20:26 it is very difficult for us to remember Allah.
20:28 This is a reminder to us,
20:30 the people of the past,
20:32 Allah has punished them for this world.
20:34 We are grateful, ladies and gentlemen,
20:36 that we are a Muslim community.
20:38 Allah has given us a chance
20:40 to ask for forgiveness, to repent to Allah.
20:42 We will not be punished
20:44 as long as it is not until the Day of Judgment.
20:46 We are grateful to Allah
20:48 because Allah has given us,
20:50 we are a Muslim community.
20:52 Thank you, Mr. Fatihul Hussain Zarifi.
20:54 Please explain the hard reminder
20:56 at the beginning of the 4th verse
20:58 of Surah Al-A'raf,
21:00 where the people of the past
21:02 were tormented
21:04 at night,
21:06 or when they were
21:08 eating fried bananas,
21:10 in the middle of the day,
21:12 they were sleeping,
21:14 they were tormented.
21:16 Why? One of the challenges
21:18 in this life is not only
21:20 a difficult test, but also a test of happiness.
21:22 And these are
21:24 the stories that Allah has stated
21:26 with the correct knowledge
21:28 at the end of the 7th verse.
21:30 Allah said, "Wa Ma Kunna Ra'ibin"
21:32 We read the 7th verse
21:34 and we want to understand
21:36 what does "Ra'ibin" mean in the 7th verse.
21:38 Please, Ustadh Thirmi.
21:40 I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
21:42 "And We will not
21:44 cast a spell
21:46 upon them
21:48 by night,
21:50 but by day."
21:52 "So We will certainly
21:54 cast a spell
21:56 upon them
21:58 by knowledge,
22:00 but We will not
22:02 be absent
22:04 from them."
22:06 "We will not
22:08 be absent
22:10 from them."
22:12 "We will not
22:14 be absent
22:16 from them."
22:18 "We will not
22:20 be absent from them."
22:22 "We will not
22:24 be absent from them."
22:26 "We will not
22:28 be absent from them."
22:30 "We will not
22:32 be absent from them."
22:34 "We will not
22:36 be absent from them."
22:38 "We will not
22:40 be absent from them."
22:42 "We will not
22:44 be absent from them."
22:46 "We will not
22:48 be absent from them."
22:50 He has told us
22:52 the verse that we read.
22:54 "And We will not
22:56 cast a spell upon them
22:58 by night, but We will not
23:00 be absent from them."
23:02 In the Hereafter,
23:04 our own deeds will be
23:06 recorded
23:08 to all of us.
23:10 We will receive our deeds in the Hereafter.
23:12 All of us will receive our deeds in this world.
23:14 At that time,
23:16 Abdullah bin Abbas said,
23:18 "This record
23:20 will be
23:22 spoken to us.
23:24 The record will be spoken
23:26 to us, telling us what we have done
23:28 in this world. One by one, the record will be spoken to us."
23:30 And
23:32 the meaning of
23:34 "Ra'ibin" is,
23:36 Allah SWT
23:38 will
23:40 once,
23:42 Allah SWT will
23:44 tell us what we have done.
23:46 Whether it is big
23:48 or small,
23:50 in front of people or behind people,
23:52 whether it is
23:54 what is shown in front of us or
23:56 in our hearts, Allah SWT
23:58 will tell us all of it.
24:00 This is how
24:02 poor we are,
24:04 how powerless
24:06 we are. We can
24:08 read what
24:10 we see, what is shown in front of us.
24:12 The record.
24:14 The record.
24:16 What is in the heart of Ustaz Termizy, I don't know.
24:18 What Ustaz Termizy said in his heart,
24:20 Ustaz Termizy doesn't know
24:22 what I said in my heart.
24:24 That is how we are. We don't know what is in
24:26 someone's heart.
24:28 But Allah SWT
24:30 does not say, "Allah SWT
24:32 knows
24:34 everything we do."
24:36 Scholars, when they read this verse, they said,
24:38 "How knowledgable
24:40 Allah is. Even though
24:42 our deeds are at night,
24:44 even though it is black,
24:46 even though it is dark, Allah SWT
24:48 can take it and show it to us.
24:50 This is what you do."
24:52 That is the explanation given by the scholars.
24:54 In understanding this verse,
24:56 it means that
24:58 everything that is done
25:00 by us, the servants of Allah,
25:02 whether it is
25:04 big or small,
25:06 everything
25:08 is in the knowledge
25:10 of Allah SWT.
25:12 Allah SWT.
25:14 Thank you, Ustaz Zarifi, for explaining
25:16 the tone of the beginning of Surah Al-A'raf.
25:18 Allah set
25:20 the stage
25:22 beforehand, telling
25:24 the stories that Allah will bring
25:26 later in Surah Al-A'raf
25:28 with the correct knowledge.
25:30 And it is more or less
25:32 like, if we have
25:34 a camera,
25:36 the camera always monitors
25:38 ourselves and
25:40 the people before us.
25:42 Everything is recorded.
25:44 Allah said,
25:46 "Wa ma kunna wa ibn"
25:48 when someone feels like, "Ah, that is a past story.
25:50 It is over.
25:52 No one knows."
25:54 It turns out that it is known
25:56 and it is another reminder to us.
25:58 Imagine if we
26:00 have a CCTV
26:02 following us everywhere.
26:04 That is a thing
26:06 that is scary.
26:08 If we do something bad,
26:10 hopefully Allah will accept it.
26:12 But if it is not good,
26:14 as a big reminder,
26:16 Allah set that the stories
26:18 that will be brought later
26:20 will shake our souls.
26:22 Let's take a break.
