Duda ang defense department sa umano'y banta ng China na maglalabas ito ng isang phone recording kaugnay sa pagpayag umano ng isang philippine military official sa "new model" para sa Ayungin Shoal. Sabi naman ng Philippine Navy, hindi pumasok ang AFP sa anumang kasunduan tungkol sa West Philippine Sea.

00:00The Defense Department has doubts about China's decision to release a phone recording

00:06regarding the consent of a Philippine military official for a new model for the Ayungin Show.

00:12The Philippine Navy said that the AFP did not enter into any agreement regarding the West Philippine Sea.

00:21On the occasion of the new agreement between the Philippines and China for the Ayungin Show in the West Philippine Sea,

00:33According to the Manila Bulletin,

00:35a high-ranking official of the Chinese Embassy in Manila said

00:39that they will release a recording of the conversation on the phone of a Chinese diplomat

00:45and a Filipino official of the military known as AFP Westcom Chief.

00:49They agreed on a new model for the management of the news in the West Philippine Sea.

00:55However, Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. has doubts about this.

00:59There is an alleged recording in a court of the Armed Forces of the Philippines,

01:07the authenticity of which I doubt,

01:10given the propensity of the Chinese government to engage in malign information activities.

01:22Teodoro added that if it is true that such a conversation took place, China has a place.

01:29If this statement is true from the Chinese Embassy

01:35that they recorded anyone in the Philippines,

01:40they admitted that they violated the law of the Republic of the Philippines,

01:47particularly the Anti-Wiretapping Law.

01:50I should know who is responsible for this and remove them from the Republic of the Philippines.

01:57The Chinese Embassy has yet to make a statement on the statement of Teodoro.

02:01The Philippine Navy also denied that the AFP entered into any agreement with China regarding the West Philippine Sea.

02:46China actively pursues a disinformation campaign, which is happening now at this very time,

02:54using official government channels, state-sponsored media, and possibly troll forums

03:01to peddle several falsehoods and misrepresent facts on the issue.

03:06It is said that the country is still talking to China,

03:10just like the DFA predicted, about the new bilateral talks here in Manila.

03:14But until now, China has not responded to the invitation.
