01:11 The United Nations General Assembly
01:13 has backed a Palestinian bid to become a full United Nations
01:16 member.
01:17 The assembly adopted a resolution on Friday
01:19 with 143 votes in favor and nine against, including
01:23 the US and Israel, while 25 countries abstained.
01:28 This does not give the Palestinians full United
01:31 Nations membership, but recognizes them
01:33 as qualified to join and recommends
01:35 the United Nations Security Council reconsider
01:38 the matter favorably.
01:39 The vote represents a global survey
01:41 of support for the Palestinian bid
01:43 to become a full United Nations member,
01:46 a move that would effectively recognize
01:48 the Palestinian state after the United States vetoed it
01:51 in the United Nations Security Council last month.
01:54 While it does not grant a vote in the body,
01:56 the draft resolution will give the Palestinians
01:59 some additional rights and privileges
02:01 from September 2024, like a seat among the United Nations
02:05 members in the assembly hall.
02:07 There are one million displaced people in Rafa.
02:16 Therefore, any shells targeting Rafa
02:18 will inevitably lead to casualties
02:20 among women and children.
02:21 I hope mediators will find a solution to the Rafa issue
02:24 as Rafa can't take any more suffering.
02:26 It's been a ravaged city for seven months.
02:28 The United Nations Relief and Works Agency

03:57 Dr. Atif al-Hod, director of the Nasser Hospital,
04:01 spoke about the damages done to the dialysis unit.
04:06 Today, the dialysis service has stopped completely.
04:09 The result is that patients have no place for dialysis.
04:12 As you all know, the dialysis building
04:14 was completely burned down and cannot be restored
04:17 in a short time.
04:18 So we were forced to create a dialysis department
04:21 with existing capacities using an old desalination plant,
04:25 repairing it and reusing it as much as possible
04:27 for 25 dialysis machines at Nasser Hospital.

05:42 We've been making those concerns known publicly,
05:44 and we have made those concerns quite clear
05:46 to the government of Israel.
05:47 And as the president noted, there
05:49 are certain types of military assistance
05:51 that we will not make available to Israel for use
05:54 in a campaign in Rafah.
05:57 In the United States, hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters
06:00 returned to George Washington University
06:02 following Wednesday rallies, which
06:04 led to evictions and the arrest of 33 participants.
06:07 Earlier on Thursday, the group of students
