00:00We're talking about the Lions here a little bit, and the news today that Calvin is going
00:05into the Ring of Honor, or the Pride of the Lion, or whatever they call it, he officially
00:09goes up there.
00:11If you had to bet right now on a current Detroit Lion to end up in that Ring of Honor, who
00:18would you bet on?
00:21Who would you bet on?
00:22This entire roster, you can just pick one player that goes into the Lions' Ring of Honor,
00:31the Pride of the Lions.
00:32Calvin will be inducted in the Monday night game against Seattle, that news announced
00:37today, which certainly comes as a surprise to no one.
00:40It's just a further indication that things are good between the Lions and Calvin, which
00:46we all have watched this thing, this relationship, it broke, and now it's been mended.
00:54But yeah, it's cool.
00:55It's cool that Calvin's going in.
00:56But who would you bet on this current roster?
00:58Kang, who would you bet on?
00:59So I'm kind of torn between two guys.
01:02I think the easy call is Penny Sewell, because I honestly think he's going to go down as
01:06one of the greatest offensive linemen in history, not just Lions history, but the NFL history
01:10when it's all said and done.
01:11But he's really young right now, and the guy who's a little bit older than him is Jared
01:16Goff.
01:17And here's the reason why I say Jared Goff, because I am predicting, I'm expecting some
01:21success with this team.
01:23And when you win with this team, and you're the starting quarterback of this team, and
01:26you're not just a game manager, you're like the reason that they're going to hopefully
01:30one day get to the Super Bowl, if not win the Super Bowl, I think you cement yourself
01:34as one of the greats in the history of Lions organization.
01:38So if the Lions make the Super Bowl this year, if they somehow win the Super Bowl this year,
01:41or even within the next two, three, four years, you don't not put Jared Goff up there.
01:47So I think he would retire earlier because he's older than Penny Sewell, so he'd be the
01:50next one, technically the next guy.
01:52So I'm going to go with Jared Goff because I'm predicting success for this team.
01:59I mean, the obvious answer is Jack Campbell, of course, if it's why isn't either right
02:06now is the question.
02:07I can't believe they haven't.
02:09It's just holding out.
02:11Yeah.
02:12What about Amin Ra?
02:14For sure.
02:15That's a possibility.
02:16I mean, that's the great thing about this question, Doug, is they have real, you know,
02:20there's different guys you can pick from that.
02:21I mean, to do it from this roster, though, what's the only name I could think of that's
02:29other than Goff that might be near retirement, whose play could dictate it is maybe Ragnow.
02:36If he plays another six, seven years at this level, but with injury, I don't know if he's
02:43going to be able to.
02:45Is there anybody like they're so young?
02:49All the guys that you would think of.
02:52Like Amin Ra, like Penny Sewell, you know, Gibbs, Jamo.
02:56It's so early to make a call on any of those guys, but they're Hutch.
02:59It feels like their best players.
03:02They're all under 25.
03:03They're so young.
03:06Have we said Brad Holmes is good?
03:08Have we made that point enough?
03:11He's really good at his job.
03:12248-539-9797.
03:13It's Karshen Anderson.
03:16Let's get back to your phone calls.
