00:00Hello. Plenty of warm sunshine out there today, turning hot and humid tomorrow with the risk
00:06of thunderstorms, especially in the northwest. Looking at the bigger picture, we've got an
00:10area of higher pressure across the UK, a deep area of low pressure towards the west, and
00:15this is helping drive south and southeasterly winds, drawing up some hotter air from the
00:20south. But we do have frontal systems moving in, and this will carry the risk of some thunderstorms
00:25through Sunday night and into Monday, especially across the northwest. But back to the rest of
00:32today, many places seeing plenty of sunshine. It's been a slow start in the south, but the cloud
00:38should gradually lift and break, maybe just seeing a legacy of some cloud across parts of the
00:43Midlands and across the south as well. We may just see some coastal fog lingering here. But elsewhere,
00:49many places staying dry with some warm sunshine. In the north, highs of up to 22 degrees across
00:55parts of Scotland. But further south, feeling hotter and more humid with highs up to 29 degrees.
01:03Now, as we go through Sunday afternoon and evening time, many places seeing some late evening
01:07sunshine. A breeze is going to be picking up, especially across the southwest and into parts
01:12of the Irish Sea. And then we'll start to see thunderstorms breaking out, moving their way
01:18north and eastwards. So at first we could see some in the west, but the greatest risk is going
01:23to be across Northern Ireland and then later into northeastern England and across Scotland.
01:29So we do have some Met Office weather warnings in force for those. So expect some frequent
01:34lightning, some gusty winds and some torrential downpours as well. As well as that, it is going
01:40to be an uncomfortable night for sleeping. Temperatures are possibly not even dropping
01:45below 20 degrees. So a warm and muggy night to come. Now, through Monday morning, we've got this
01:52band of thundery, showery rain moving its way north and eastwards during rush hour across parts
01:57of western Scotland. Thunderstorms ahead of that as well. So some disruption is possible from this
02:03frequent lightning, hail, as well as some strong gusty winds and some torrential downpours.
02:09That then clears its way north and eastward, so turning brighter across parts of Scotland
02:13into the late afternoon and dry across Northern Ireland as well. Elsewhere, many places are seeing
02:19a good deal of sunshine, but the odd isolated thunderstorm can't be ruled out, especially
02:25across parts of the south and east of England. It's also going to be quite breezy across the north,
02:31but turning fresher here once that rain has cleared through. But further towards the south,
02:35a very hot and humid feel to the day, with highs up to possibly 34 degrees. So take care if you
02:44are out and about through tomorrow, feeling a little bit cooler the further west that you go.
02:51So as we go through Monday evening, that rain continues to clear its way northwards. Many places
02:56seeing a dry end to the day. We may just see a few showers skirting the southeast, but again,
03:03still quite a warm night to come. As we go through Tuesday, still holding on to some heat
03:07in the southeast, but then turning more changeable with outbreaks of rain
03:11and temperatures returning to average. I'll see you soon. Bye bye for now.
