00:00:30Hello again, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Jacksonville, Florida.
00:00:40We are live for Clash of Champions XIII Thanksgiving Thunder.
00:00:44Hello again, everyone. Jim Ross and Paul E. Danersley here at ringside.
00:00:47Eleven great matches puts a live danger zone, the Stinger, face-to-face with the Black Scorpion.
00:00:52Plus tonight, if Doom wins the match, Teddy Long will win Ric Flair's limousine and his 65-foot yacht.
00:01:00But think about this. If the Horsemen win, they not only get a shot at Starrcade, but Teddy Long has to be Ric Flair's chauffeur for a day.
00:01:09Plus, ladies and gentlemen, the Motor City Man-Man will be taking on Lex Luger.
00:01:14And let me just say this. If you're a fan of Lex Luger, dial 1-900-909-9900.
00:01:20And you can talk to the title package live for the last time.
00:01:25He's on the hotline right now with Lance Russell and Gordon Sully. Let's go now up to Gary Marco Cappetta.
00:01:33Ladies and gentlemen, this first contest on Clash of Champions, it is set for one fall.
00:01:40It is a six-man tag team event.
00:01:44Introducing team number one.
00:01:48Accompanied to the ring by their number one roadie and best friend, Little Richard Marley.
00:01:56And also, from the dark side, beautiful Bobby Eaton.
00:02:05From Backstreet USA in Atlanta, Georgia, the greatest rock and roll fan of all time,
00:02:13The Fabulous Greenbergs!
00:02:25Before they come out, you might want to notice...
00:02:44Ladies and gentlemen, from the heartlands of the south, Tracy Smothers, Steve Armstrong, The Wild and Southern Boys!
00:03:02I might just direct y'all's attention to the mere fact that the Southern Boys are giant-less.
00:03:12Well, if you want to solve a mystery and wonder where the Big Goof is,
00:03:18check Jacksonville International Airport, Delta Baggage, the biggest box marked Argentina.
00:03:30Well, I don't know what's going on here, but this is scheduled to be a six-man tag team event.
00:03:35Apparently, the Freebirds and beautiful Bobby have had something to do, Paul, with the disappearance of the Giant.
00:03:40They beat him up! They finished him off! They realize they don't want to step in the ring with a guy 7'7", 400-some-odd pounds.
00:03:48They beat him up! He's through!
00:03:52...by the referee that since the Freebirds claim responsibility for El Gigante's absence, this will not, I repeat, not be a three-on-two.
00:04:03And beautiful Bobby Eaton must go back to the dressing room.
00:04:07What? Why?
00:04:10That's a good call. Why make it three or four-on-two? That's good officiating in my book.
00:04:17Hey, you know, you like to talk about football. If the quarterback doesn't show up, you still got to play the game.
00:04:23The Giant didn't show up.
00:04:25This isn't football. This is world championship wrestling, and you're not going to see WCW officials allow this type of gross mismatch.
00:04:33Hey, the guy's not tough enough to stand one beating. Come on!
00:04:38Well, if the Freebirds are as good as you and they proclaim they are, it shouldn't make any difference.
00:04:43But I wanted to see beautiful Bobby wrestle.
00:04:46Collar and elbow tie-up, Jimmy Jam Garvin starting off with Tracy Smothers.
00:04:51The fabulous Freebirds, a very notorious team.
00:04:56They put Robert Gibson, the Rock and Roll Express out of action.
00:04:58Highly brawled by Tracy Smothers.
00:05:00Garvin to the near side, another leapfrog by Smothers.
00:05:02High hip-hop takeover.
00:05:04And Smothers takes over.
00:05:07Double dropkick.
00:05:10The Centerboys elect to find this crowd a new legend.
00:05:20What's that?
00:05:22They hit our best friend.
00:05:24Now, there's no call for that.
00:05:26Now, there's no call for that.
00:05:28What did Little Richard Marley do to deserve being beat up by two rednecks like that?
00:05:34They know as well as everybody else that watches television, that watches TBS, that Little Richard Marley, they say he's a roadie.
00:05:41I say he's a gopher. I say he's here to involve himself.
00:05:44That's why he's here, not for moral support, because he doesn't have any.
00:05:48If somebody was going to get involved, don't you think they'd keep beautiful Bobby at ringside?
00:05:53He's an accomplished athlete.
00:05:55Michael Hayes now working on Tracy Smothers.
00:05:57Garvin and Hayes double teaming.
00:05:59Referee Mike Atkins.
00:06:01Wait a minute.
00:06:02Watch out!
00:06:05Oh, high crossbody off the top rope in the Clash of Champions.
00:06:09Getting off to a tremendous start here on TBS.
00:06:13And like true Southerners, the Southernboys do nothing but double team an accomplished team.
00:06:19The former World Tag Team Champions, the Fabulous Freebirds.
00:06:24Fans, don't forget in this program, it will be Sting and the Scorpion face-to-face.
00:06:29Will we find out more of the Scorpion's identity?
00:06:32What will he do? He says he's going to show us more of his evil magic.
00:06:35We'll have that later in this broadcast.
00:06:38Side headlock by Michael Hayes on Tracy Smothers.
00:06:41Smothers shoots him off.
00:06:45Good arm drag takeover by Smothers.
00:06:47Scooping Michael Hayes up and slams him.
00:06:49He scoops up Jimmy Garvin.
00:06:51He dominates him.
00:06:53Smothers down in that football stance with a double clothesline.
00:06:56Smothers, he played football for Carson Newman.
00:06:59A great NEIA power in Tennessee.
00:07:02Shows that football ability.
00:07:04Now you were just telling me it's not football.
00:07:06And now the guy uses a football maneuver.
00:07:08Now make up your mind.
00:07:10Is it football or is it not football?
00:07:12It's wrestling.
00:07:13I was using an analogy.
00:07:19Irish whip by Smothers.
00:07:20Great quickness over the top rope.
00:07:22But Hayes nailed him with that left hand.
00:07:25Big left hand by Michael Hayes.
00:07:27Found its mark on the jaw of Tracy Smothers.
00:07:30And now you're going to see where the Freebirds are at their most dangerous.
00:07:34When they have a man down, when they have a man weakened.
00:07:37That's how they hurt Robert Gibson.
00:07:39That's probably how they beat up Al Egante.
00:07:43Scoop slam by Jimmy Garvin at Star King.
00:07:46Exclusively on pay-per-view.
00:07:48It will be the Freebirds versus Ricky Morton and Tommy Rich.
00:07:53And Robert Gibson will be at ringside.
00:07:55Unprecious as it were.
00:07:57But he will be in St. Louis at ringside for Star King.
00:08:01Smothers.
00:08:02Sunset flip.
00:08:03Going for the pin.
00:08:04And he got two.
00:08:06Beautiful.
00:08:07Beautiful clothesline by Jimmy Jam Garvin.
00:08:10See, that's what the Freebirds are all about.
00:08:12You can get them down.
00:08:13But they come right back at you.
00:08:16Garvin scooping up Tracy Smothers.
00:08:20And now Jimmy Jam Garvin.
00:08:22Climbing to the top.
00:08:25Here on TBS.
00:08:26And Smothers meets him.
00:08:27With right hands.
00:08:30Garvin up on the top.
00:08:31Dropped down by Tracy Smothers.
00:08:34Both men need to make the tag.
00:08:36Both men have made the exchange.
00:08:42Here we go.
00:08:43Here we go.
00:08:44Here we go.
00:08:45Double suplex by the Freebirds.
00:08:52Armstrong off the top.
00:08:54They're fighting fire with fire.
00:08:56Who's the legal man?
00:08:59To tell you the truth, I'm not sure who the legal man is.
00:09:02I know it's not Little Richard Marley, who's on the apron.
00:09:07Holds on.
00:09:08Oh, man.
00:09:10Up and over.
00:09:11To the runway.
00:09:12Little Richard brought in.
00:09:15That should have been a disqualification.
00:09:16Right there.
00:09:17Up and over.
00:09:18He cleared the top rope.
00:09:20He cleared the top rope.
00:09:21What a move.
00:09:23Little Richard tripped Smothers.
00:09:26Little Richard tripped Smothers.
00:09:28One, two.
00:09:29Got him.
00:09:31And ladies and gentlemen, the winners of the match,
00:09:35the WS Freebirds.
00:09:39Little Richard Marley tripped Tracy Smothers
00:09:41right into Michael Hayes' DDT.
00:09:44No, no, no, no, no.
00:09:46Another great victory for the fabulous Freebirds.
00:09:50Here you see Armstrong using a totally illegal maneuver.
00:09:54Coming up over the top rope.
00:09:56The fabulous Freebirds.
00:09:57They took out Gibson.
00:09:58They took out Egante.
00:10:00They've taken out the Southern boys.
00:10:02And watch Little Richard over there on the far side of the ring.
00:10:04He tripped Smothers right there.
00:10:06He stumbles right into the DDT.
00:10:09Oh, please.
00:10:10He's just clumsy.
00:10:11You can't give the Freebirds enough credit.
00:10:13The DDT by Michael P.S. Hayes.
00:10:15Our colleague Tony Schiavone is standing by.
00:10:18Tony has started off with a lot of fire.
00:10:20Up to you.
00:10:22Okay, Jim Ross.
00:10:23And okay, Paulie Danderson.
00:10:25You're exactly right.
00:10:26It is starting out red hot right here on the Clash from Jacksonville.
00:10:30And we want to bring in, and it is my pleasure to bring in,
00:10:33the one and only champion of the world,
00:10:36ladies and gentlemen, and welcome with me,
00:10:38this is Steve!
00:10:42What an ovation for the heavyweight champion of the world.
00:10:48Thousands upon thousands on their feet cheering the champion.
00:10:54I'll tell you what, Stinger.
00:10:56You can hear, not only here in Jacksonville,
00:10:58but all across the country, TBS, they're red hot.
00:11:00You, I know, are prepared for tonight face-to-face with Lex Luthor.
00:11:04You know who I am, Tony Schiavone.
00:11:06We're talking face-to-face just like that.
00:11:08Tony Schiavone, we're talking face-to-face just like you and me.
00:11:12Stinger against the Black Scorpion.
00:11:14Finally, once and for all, we get it set up just the way we want it to be.
00:11:22And that is on the Danger Zone right here this evening on TBS.
00:11:26Paulie Danderson, he's not one of my favorite people,
00:11:29but you know, he set this thing up, so let's go for it on national TV.
00:11:33All right, the Stinger, prepared for later on right here on national TV.
00:11:38And fans, we'll have more on TBS right after this.
00:11:41Don't you dare go away.
00:11:42Sting.
00:11:43What in the world?
00:11:44Wait a second.
00:11:45Sting.
00:11:46You know something about this?
00:11:47You better let me know what's going on.
00:11:51Apparently, the voice of the Black Scorpion...
00:11:52The people have waited for you,
00:11:55but I know you have been waiting for me.
00:11:59Apparently, the voice of the Black Scorpion,
00:12:01Jim Paul, I know everybody can hear him.
00:12:03The Stinger, once again.
00:12:04I'll tell you what, Sting.
00:12:06In just a short while,
00:12:08I'll give you and everyone a chance to see
00:12:11my great powers of black magic
00:12:15in just a little while, Sting.
00:12:21Bye for now, Sting.
00:12:32Stinger, I'm not so sure.
00:12:34Visibly upset, the Stinger.
00:12:37Still to come, face to face with the Black Scorpion
00:12:39right here on TBS.
00:12:40Fans, don't you dare go away.
00:12:55Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest,
00:12:58it is set for one fall.
00:13:00Introducing first, from Jacksonville, Florida,
00:13:04weighing 235 pounds,
00:13:07Nature Boy, Buddy Landau!
00:13:18And ladies and gentlemen, his opponent...
00:13:22From Cincinnati, Ohio,
00:13:26weighing 226 pounds,
00:13:29welcome Brian Bryan!
00:13:38A tremendous ovation for the youngster from Cincinnati,
00:13:42the former bingo man, Nature Boy, Buddy Landau,
00:13:45locking it up, and Landau with the early advantage
00:13:48here in this one.
00:13:49Well, the Nature Boy has a big score to settle
00:13:51with Flyin' Brian.
00:13:52It was Pillman that embarrassed the Nature Boy
00:13:54at the Great American Bash.
00:13:57Landau competing before his home crowd here.
00:14:00He's not very popular in Jacksonville
00:14:02or anywhere else, for that matter,
00:14:04but he's starting off very quickly
00:14:06against Flyin' Brian.
00:14:11Working on his neck
00:14:13as Pillman lays over that middle rope.
00:14:15And, of course, the people are not saying,
00:14:17Boo!
00:14:18They're saying, Buddy, Buddy, Buddy!
00:14:22Landau, Pillman with a pin!
00:14:25One, two and a half!
00:14:27Landau up very quickly, beats Pillman up.
00:14:30And Pillman's got him!
00:14:31There's an inside cradle!
00:14:32One, two, but again Landau kicks out.
00:14:36And is up very quickly
00:14:37and meets Pillman with a right hand.
00:14:39See, Landau learned at the Great American Bash
00:14:41you can't take Pillman lightly,
00:14:42and Pillman is a great, great athlete,
00:14:44but Landau is really taking it to him quick here.
00:14:47Nice reversal, good counter move.
00:14:49Both arms cupped, and again Landau
00:14:52kicks out, he's met with a clothesline.
00:14:55Three near falls here,
00:14:56and a clothesline takes him over!
00:14:59Now, why wasn't Pillman disqualified right there?
00:15:02Hey!
00:15:03Pillman used the top rope for leverage!
00:15:06Air Pillman!
00:15:10Oh, no, you gotta stop him!
00:15:14You gotta stop him!
00:15:18Landau with a right hand, he blocked the piledriver.
00:15:21Elevated Pillman over.
00:15:25Big right by Landau,
00:15:27sends Pillman back into the ring.
00:15:29What's good for the goose is good for the nature boy!
00:15:32And now Buddy Landau is gonna take out
00:15:34all his aggressions on Flyin' Brian!
00:15:38Landau meets him with a knee,
00:15:40and Flyin' Brian meets the steel
00:15:42that surrounds the ring.
00:15:47Landau very aggressive
00:15:49here at the Clash of Champions.
00:15:52He drops Pillman over the security railing
00:15:55as senior referee Nick Patrick
00:15:57admonishes Landau for his unsportsmanlike acts.
00:16:01Yeah, but he's not counting out until the ref hits ten.
00:16:04Oh!
00:16:06He missed that clothesline,
00:16:08met the steel ring post.
00:16:11Big chop by Pillman.
00:16:13Really nailing Landau.
00:16:18Good.
00:16:19Landau shoving Pillman into the post.
00:16:22See, to me, this is a great matchup,
00:16:24because everybody knows that the nature boy Buddy Landau
00:16:27has patterned himself after nature boy Ric Flair.
00:16:30He's idolized Ric Flair for years and years,
00:16:32and, of course, Pillman, the only wrestler on record
00:16:35to ever be trained by the nature boy Ric Flair himself.
00:16:39Straight right hand by Landau.
00:16:41Now dominating Pillman.
00:16:43There's a chop.
00:16:44I don't know that you can hear that one.
00:16:46Say it. It's a Ric Flair-like chop, too.
00:16:50Pillman brings Landau out.
00:16:52There's a dropkick by Flyin' Brian.
00:16:55And Pillman...
00:16:57sends Landau out of bounds.
00:17:00Hey!
00:17:03Hard crossbody up the middle rope.
00:17:07The crowd loves it.
00:17:09They're in Jacksonville, Florida.
00:17:12Ooh, this is a tough match.
00:17:14It's physical here already at the Clash of Champions,
00:17:18and we're just getting underway.
00:17:20And Landau was smart.
00:17:21He got Pillman right back into the ring,
00:17:23because you can't pin your opponent
00:17:25on the outside of the ring.
00:17:30Landau, the abdominal stretch,
00:17:33and the ropes for leverage.
00:17:35Taking a blatant shortcut
00:17:37with a referee out of position here.
00:17:39But it's not illegal unless the referee sees you do it,
00:17:42and obviously old Ray Charles in there
00:17:44doesn't see Buddy Landau doing this.
00:17:46Well, it's illegal always,
00:17:48but you're only made to break the hold if he's caught.
00:17:53Of course it's illegal.
00:17:54That's Landau's style.
00:17:56He's got great ability,
00:17:57but he likes to bend the rules, to say the least.
00:18:00As he's cheating again, as you can see,
00:18:02he's using the ropes for leverage.
00:18:04He learned well from his idol,
00:18:06Nature Boy Ric Flair.
00:18:11I wonder if Flair is ashamed of the fact
00:18:13that Flying Brian was his protege.
00:18:16Here comes Pillman, fighting back,
00:18:18but Landau meets him with a knee right to the midsection.
00:18:22Again, Pillman has the, or excuse me,
00:18:24Landau has the advantage.
00:18:27And he's caught right there.
00:18:29Good move by Landau.
00:18:30Catching Pillman, got him in a backbreaker.
00:18:33Trying to make him submit here.
00:18:36And now going for the pin, the legs grapevine.
00:18:39On top, one, two, and a half there.
00:18:42Get him, Buddy.
00:18:43Pillman gets the shoulder up.
00:18:45Right shoulder came off the canvas,
00:18:47and this time Landau picks him up.
00:18:49That may be a little too much for Pillman.
00:18:52Right shoulder came off the canvas,
00:18:54and this time Landau picks him up.
00:18:56That may be a mistake.
00:18:57Now, I think it was a smart move by Landau,
00:18:59because Pillman was kicking out of all the one, two, threes.
00:19:03Oh, he's up to the legs here.
00:19:05And again, I've been wrong before.
00:19:08And now Flying Brian with the adrenaline flowing,
00:19:11but Landau, the veteran, catches him coming in.
00:19:14Front face lock, has him up.
00:19:16Is he gonna go now for the superplex, perhaps?
00:19:18Of course he is.
00:19:19Randy Landau has been perfecting this move in recent weeks.
00:19:25Pillman trying to find out how the superplexing does.
00:19:28Turn around, Buddy!
00:19:30Pillman with a high crossbody.
00:19:32He's got the leg grapevine.
00:19:34Flying Brian wins it.
00:19:36Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the match,
00:19:39Flying Brian!
00:19:44Well, here you go.
00:19:46Here you go.
00:19:47Professional wrestling's answer to Pete Rose.
00:19:50Cincinnati's last great hero, Flying Brian Pillman,
00:19:54showing that just like his mentor, Nature Boy Ric Flair,
00:19:58he can cheat with the best of them,
00:20:00and he gets a victory over Buddy Landau.
00:20:03Fans, we'll have more of the Clash of Champions,
00:20:05but first, listen to this.

00:21:12♪♪
00:21:18-♪♪
00:21:25Ladies and gentlemen,
00:21:26the following contest,
00:21:28it is set for one fall.
00:21:30Introducing first, from Kansas City,
00:21:34weighing 320 pounds,
00:21:38the Big Cat!
00:21:41And fans, as the Big Cat makes his way to the ring,
00:21:44here are some comments he had earlier today.
00:21:47-♪♪
00:21:50That's right, Danny.
00:21:51I was here for one reason,
00:21:53and one reason only.
00:21:55I done beat everybody up already.
00:21:57Luger, you're the main course of the mill, baby.
00:22:00And you can guarantee it,
00:22:01that the Big Cat is coming at you.
00:22:04-♪♪
00:22:06He certainly has made his intentions fully known.
00:22:08We've heard that he's got a total disdain for Lex Luger.
00:22:11Now back to Gary, Michael Cappetta.
00:22:14And, ladies and gentlemen,
00:22:16his opponent, from Marietta, Georgia,
00:22:19he weighs 234 pounds,
00:22:23the Candyman,
00:22:26Brad Armstrong!
00:22:30Brad Armstrong, want to be sure and say hello
00:22:32to all the great fans watching back in the headquarters
00:22:35of World Championship Wrestling back in Hotlanta,
00:22:38where the World Championship Wrestling
00:22:40will be Thanksgiving night at 8 o'clock.
00:22:44Can you imagine having to spend Thanksgiving
00:22:47in Atlanta, Georgia?
00:22:49I'm gonna be there, and I can't wait.
00:22:53I wouldn't brag about that if I were you.
00:22:55Big Cat, 320 pounds.
00:22:57You heard his comments,
00:22:58and he has really been a very, very impressive competitor
00:23:02thus far in the outings that we have seen.
00:23:04He has beaten everyone in his path thus far.
00:23:076'3 1⁄2", 320.
00:23:10Brad Armstrong's got to use his quickness and agility
00:23:12and stay away from this man, Matt Wrestling,
00:23:15and try to negate the strength,
00:23:16because this is one of the strongest men,
00:23:18speaking of the Big Cat, in the sport.
00:23:20He certainly is, and what I like about this guy
00:23:22is that he just shows exactly how far a football player
00:23:26can go in World Championship Wrestling.
00:23:28I mean, after all, look at the power of this guy.
00:23:31This was the best offensive tackle
00:23:33that Kansas State ever had, and I'll tell you what,
00:23:35back home in New York, we got a jerk named L.T. Lawrence-Taylor.
00:23:39He could take a few notes from the Big Cat.
00:23:42Brad Armstrong sizing up this big monster.
00:23:45Collar and elbow tie-up.
00:23:46It's Armstrong now.
00:23:49One of the finest chain wrestlers,
00:23:50great counter wrestler in World Championship Wrestling,
00:23:53but there's a big football tackle,
00:23:55like running into a big oak tree.
00:23:59I like this Big Cat.
00:24:00I tell you what, the Candyman Brad Armstrong
00:24:03at Halloween Havoc pulled a big upset over J.W. Storm.
00:24:07I'll give you odds he doesn't do that
00:24:09against the Big Cat tonight.
00:24:11Time will tell, Paul. Time will tell.
00:24:14As he take a look at the big man,
00:24:15another collar and elbow tie-up.
00:24:18He has the advantage,
00:24:19pushing Brad Armstrong back in the ropes.
00:24:21Cheap shot to the ribs, sends him for the ride.
00:24:24He missed with that clothesline,
00:24:25and Brad Armstrong with a dropkick.
00:24:27Armstrong taking the big giant off his feet
00:24:30with that great dropkick.
00:24:32Yeah, but notice the good strategy by the Big Cat.
00:24:34He gets right over to the ropes,
00:24:35so Armstrong can't attack him again,
00:24:37and he stops his momentum by bringing in the referee.
00:24:41Armstrong again from the side headlock
00:24:43to the wristlock, countered by the Big Cat.
00:24:46Big Cat taking it a turn, still to come.
00:24:49The Horseman Doom showdown.
00:24:51It'll be one-on-one,
00:24:52the match determined by a coin toss,
00:24:54plus Sting and the Scorpion
00:24:55in the live danger zone, face-to-face.
00:24:58Armstrong very quick, but he's caught in midair.
00:25:01He is so big and so strong, is this Big Cat.
00:25:04And look at him take Armstrong up.
00:25:06Three back breakers,
00:25:07and he finally drops him like a sack of groceries.
00:25:11There you go.
00:25:12The man that has been using Lex Luger's finishing maneuver,
00:25:18the Big Cat, and this guy does not pussyfoot around.
00:25:23Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
00:25:26Stopping Armstrong in the lower back now
00:25:29after three thunderous back breakers working on the back.
00:25:33Got him up.
00:25:34Brutal slam to the canvas by the Big Cat.
00:25:38He's on top.
00:25:39One, two, and Armstrong kicks out.
00:25:41Well, I'm impressed.
00:25:42Brad Armstrong has taken a whale of a beating,
00:25:46and he did kick out.
00:25:47He's the first guy I've seen kick out
00:25:49from any kind of pending predicament of the Big Cat,
00:25:53but it's still a long way to go.
00:25:55Armstrong has great intestinal fortitude.
00:25:58Tremendous athlete, a second-generation wrestler.
00:26:01His dad, the former fighting fireman from Marietta, Georgia.
00:26:04And look at the velocity of that Irish whip.
00:26:07See, notice how the Big Cat does everything very slowly.
00:26:11He takes his time.
00:26:12He's not like these guys that come in here
00:26:15and throw ten drop kicks.
00:26:17He does one thing at a time,
00:26:18and he does it very well and very brutally at that.
00:26:22Continuing to work on the back.
00:26:23Here's the 320-pound Big Cat,
00:26:25and now he's got Brad in that bear hug.
00:26:27Armstrong's speed and his agility
00:26:30has been entirely negated thus far in the contest.
00:26:34It's a power match
00:26:35and perfectly wrestled by the Big Cat
00:26:37as he rams Armstrong into the turnbuckle.
00:26:40Goes for a big shoulder,
00:26:42but there's a quickness coming to the front
00:26:44by Brad Armstrong.
00:26:45He's firing up on the Big Cat
00:26:47with a succession of right hands.
00:26:49Backs him to the ropes
00:26:50and sends him to the near side.
00:26:52Catch him in the midsection.
00:26:54Well, I tell you what,
00:26:55he better light a fire
00:26:56that his daddy the fireman can't put out,
00:26:59because if he doesn't, that's it.
00:27:01Armstrong went for that second drop kick,
00:27:04and that may have been the fatal error.
00:27:07Big Cat continuing to work on the back.
00:27:09There he goes!
00:27:10He's got him up with a human torture rack,
00:27:12just like Lex Luger.
00:27:14That's Luger's maneuver.
00:27:17He gave up!
00:27:18No, he didn't give up.
00:27:20The referee stopped it.
00:27:21He didn't give up.
00:27:22Brad Armstrong has never given up.
00:27:25Ladies and gentlemen,
00:27:26the referee has stopped this match,
00:27:29and he has awarded it to the Big Cat.
00:27:33I'm telling you, I heard him say it.
00:27:36I heard Brad Armstrong say it.
00:27:37I'm telling you that you're a blatant liar.
00:27:39He didn't give up.
00:27:40Brad Armstrong has never given up.
00:27:42The referee stopped the match.
00:27:44This man is a monster.
00:27:45320 pounds after three backbreakers in the rack.
00:27:49The referee stopped it.
00:27:50It was good officiating,
00:27:51but another victory by the Big Cat,
00:27:53and now let's hear this
00:27:54from the man that'll be at Starrcade.
00:27:56Here's Dick the Bruiser.
00:27:57A liar!
00:27:59This is Dick the Bruiser.

00:28:03as the world's toughest guy,

00:29:10Well, you know,
00:29:11here's a guy that was always held back
00:29:13in a tag team situation.
00:29:15He always wanted to be a tag team champion.
00:29:18The fact is,
00:29:19he is a great singles wrestler,

00:29:45He's an outstanding-looking athlete
00:29:47challenging the She-Man here at the Clash.
00:29:49And let me just say this.
00:29:51I accept your apology
00:29:52that you gave me off the air
00:29:54when you said that you were sorry
00:29:55for calling me a liar.
00:29:57Yeah, and that's another lie.
00:29:58Because Brad Armstrong didn't submit
00:30:00because the Big Cat is that great.
00:30:02You didn't submit, and you're still a liar.

00:30:41Z-Man went for a high-risk move

00:30:46Powerful elbow.
00:30:47And down goes Z-Man.

00:31:13What time is it, Brian Lee?
00:31:16It's time right now to bring the referee in.
00:31:19It's time to slow down the Z-Man's momentum.
00:31:23Time for a cheap shot, too, by the way.
00:31:25Forgot to mention that.
00:31:31Snapmare by Primetime Brian Lee
00:31:34into the reverse chinlock.
00:31:35Great to hear from Dick the Bruiser.

00:32:13He's turned the corner now.
00:32:15Sends Brian Lee in and catches him
00:32:17with a karate kick right under the jaw.
00:32:21Almost slammed by the Z-Man.
00:32:23And now he goes back.
00:32:24He'll take another chance coming off the top.
00:32:27Brian Lee is dazed.
00:32:29He just drop-kicked the taste out of primetime.
00:32:33Ladies and gentlemen,
00:32:35the winner of the match,
00:32:36the Z-Man!
00:32:40He is on a hot streak, is the Z-Man.

00:33:25First of all, Schiavone,
00:33:27don't you ever call me Mike Rotunda again.
00:33:31I have legally changed my name to Michael Wallstreet.
00:33:34And with the money that I've inherited,
00:33:36you should be calling me Mr. Wallstreet.
00:33:39Do you understand?
00:33:41Secondly, I don't have time to stand out here all night.
00:33:44At 6.05 on Saturday night,
00:33:46TBS, the Michael Wallstreet story will be told.
00:33:50Now let's get to the business at hand.

00:34:20Our system is infallible.
00:34:22You can bet any amount of money on it.
00:34:24He's going to feel the Wallstreet crash tonight.

00:34:30I don't know.
00:34:31Very interesting development here.
00:34:33We're going to wait and see how this one transpires.
00:34:35Let's go back to Gary Capeta
00:34:37and the introduction of the Starblazer.

00:35:06The masked man making his way to the ring.
00:35:08Paul, I'm very...
00:35:10This is very mysterious.
00:35:11Michael Rotunda no longer.
00:35:14Apparently, it's coming to a lot of money.
00:35:18We'll find out perhaps Saturday night,
00:35:19but Gary Capeta has the introduction
00:35:21of Michael Wallstreet.
00:35:23And ladies and gentlemen, his opponent,
00:35:26he is accompanied by his administrative assistant,

00:35:45to Michael Wallstreet.
00:35:47Now, what is going on here?
00:35:48Do you know any more about this?
00:35:50Well, now, I heard a rumor,
00:35:52and it's only a rumor,
00:35:54and I'm not trying to spread any rumors,
00:35:56because they'll probably sue me.
00:35:57Lord knows you've never done that.
00:35:59Oh, no, no, never have,
00:36:00but I heard a rumor.
00:36:02I don't know if it was his grandfather or an uncle.
00:36:04I heard some rich, rich relative
00:36:07passed away,
00:36:09and he inherited a lot of money,
00:36:10but it's just a rumor.
00:36:11That's all it is.
00:36:13You'll have to hear it from him,
00:36:14not from me.
00:36:15Apparently, we'll see the entire
00:36:17Moscow Wallstreet story
00:36:19this Saturday night
00:36:20on World Championship Wrestling
00:36:21at 605 Eastern Time, of course.
00:36:26Gee, I wish one of my rich relatives
00:36:28would die and leave me a lot of money.
00:36:30I don't know what you're worried about.
00:36:31You're living at home with your mom and daddy now.
00:36:33You don't spend any money as it is.
00:36:38There is Alexandra York,
00:36:40not a manager, not a valet,
00:36:42an administrative assistant.
00:36:44She's got a laptop computer there,
00:36:46and apparently has programmed all the data
00:36:49regarding the Star Blazer
00:36:51into that computer.
00:36:54Michael Wallstreet's gone straight
00:36:55to the World Heavyweight Championship.
00:36:57I mean, finally,
00:36:58World Championship Wrestling
00:37:00has entered the computer age.
00:37:04Well, there's a computer printout.
00:37:05He's trying to shield our camera
00:37:07from seeing exactly what is on that document.
00:37:12He's always had great ability.
00:37:13He's been a world tag team champion,
00:37:15world television champion,
00:37:17two-sport star at Syracuse University,
00:37:19captain of the football team,
00:37:21captain of the wrestling team.
00:37:23Waist lock takedown.
00:37:26I like it.
00:37:27It's about time, finally,
00:37:29somebody came from my hometown
00:37:31and showed WCW what it's all about.
00:37:35I'm proud of him.
00:37:36Fireman carry takeover by Mike Rotunda.
00:37:39Give me some competition out there.
00:37:41Now, come on, go get him some competition.
00:37:43Don't bring out my favorite Martian against him.
00:37:45How come Sting doesn't fight him right away?
00:37:47It'd be worth the price.
00:37:49He'd probably pay a lot of money for a title shot.
00:37:53Good football tackle by Wallstreet.
00:37:55Going to the far side.
00:37:56Nice leapfrog by the Star Blazer.
00:37:58And he takes him over with a high hip lock
00:38:00and a dropkick.
00:38:02And another dropkick.
00:38:03Michael Wallstreet may be crashing here.
00:38:06Fans, we're gonna start a brand-new WCW fan club.
00:38:10And if you would like to participate
00:38:12in the World Championship Wrestling Fan Club,
00:38:15there's a couple of 800 numbers.
00:38:171-800-727-FANS
00:38:20or 1-800-727-3267.
00:38:23You can call that toll-free number
00:38:25for more information on how you can join
00:38:27the WCW fan club.
00:38:30A first-time offer.
00:38:32Be a charter member, if you will,
00:38:34as Gordon would say.
00:38:35How much does that call cost?
00:38:37Nothing, Paul.
00:38:38Right down your alley.
00:38:39It's free?
00:38:40Nice wrist lock by the Star Blazer
00:38:42into the arm bar.
00:38:44I'm gonna call it right now.
00:38:46If it's free.
00:38:48Rotunda trying to go for a right hand.
00:38:50It was blocked by the Star Blazer.
00:38:52Side headlock by the Masked Man.
00:38:54He's shot off this match.
00:38:55It's very quick.
00:38:56And Wallstreet tosses him outside.
00:38:58Beautiful. He followed the game plan.
00:39:00Obviously, Miss York knows exactly what she...
00:39:03Oh, there you go.
00:39:05The computer age.
00:39:10It's almost like a hostile takeover here
00:39:12by Michael Wallstreet
00:39:14on the Star Blazer.
00:39:15That was very good. I'm proud of you.
00:39:19Makes his way back to the ring,
00:39:20and Wallstreet catches him.
00:39:22Kick right to the head.
00:39:24Not only is he rich, but he can back it up, too.
00:39:27I like this guy.
00:39:28Going for the abdominal stretch.
00:39:29Turns him away from the referee.
00:39:33Has the abdominal stretch, and again,
00:39:35we see another man using the ropes for leverage.
00:39:39You know, speaking of fan clubs,
00:39:40I think I'm gonna open up a fan club
00:39:42for Michael Wallstreet,
00:39:44the, uh, Scarsdale chapter.
00:39:47I thought you might say that.
00:39:49I'm sure that'll impress him.
00:39:51Maybe he'll pay me some money to run it, too.
00:39:53Referee Nick Patrick, senior official down
00:39:55to find out the Star Blazer wants to submit
00:39:57in this abdominal stretch.
00:39:58But Wallstreet, there's a good officiate.
00:40:00He caught him using the ropes.
00:40:02Outstanding job of officiating
00:40:03by senior referee Nick Patrick.
00:40:06Front face lock.
00:40:08But good counter move.
00:40:10Into a cradle there.
00:40:11One, two.
00:40:13And the, uh, stocks almost dropped there
00:40:16for Wallstreet.
00:40:17Ah, it doesn't really matter.
00:40:18I mean, you know, if Star Blazer beats him,
00:40:21I'm sure he could buy a victory away from him.
00:40:24Forearms there.
00:40:26Reversal of the Irish whip.
00:40:28Star Blazer catches Wallstreet coming in
00:40:30with a foot right to the midsection.
00:40:32Catch him with a right hand now.
00:40:33The masked man taking over.
00:40:36I think Miss York needs to get another printout.
00:40:40There's a scoop slam.
00:40:42I wonder if this has been programmed.
00:40:44She's looking at very intently what's going on.
00:40:48Drop kick by the masked man.
00:40:50The Star Blazers showing good offense.
00:40:52Got him!
00:40:53Wallstreet caught him.
00:40:55Trying to turn him into a Boston crab.
00:40:57But the leg strength too much for Wallstreet.
00:41:00He's got him there now.
00:41:01One, two.
00:41:03The masked man frees himself at two.
00:41:07Fast pace here in this contest.
00:41:11I don't know what we have here.
00:41:13Rotunda picked up both legs.
00:41:14It's not Rotunda.
00:41:15It's Wallstreet.
00:41:18Fraudulent slip there.
00:41:21Here we go!
00:41:24Is this?
00:41:25It is!
00:41:26The Wallstreet crash by Michael Wallstreet

00:46:49The African delegation here.
00:46:53Two big, strong men.
00:46:56I'm sure there'll be a contrast in styles,
00:46:58a contrast in philosophy.
00:47:02This is a big matchup.
00:47:04The finals of the African tournament.
00:47:07We're happy and proud
00:47:08that it can be held right here

00:47:20at Starrcade.
00:47:24Let me ask you a question.
00:47:25Who paid for all these plane tickets from Africa?
00:47:29Well, on World Championship Wrestling, of course,
00:47:31they only bring the fans the very best
00:47:33from around the world.
00:47:38And they won't even pick me up
00:47:39from the airport in a limousine,
00:47:40and they fly four guys in from Africa
00:47:42just for the fans at home?
00:47:45Sergeant Kruger and Kalua in there.
00:47:48And Kalua starting out very quickly.
00:47:50They know what's at stake in this match.
00:47:51Downstairs he goes, and there's a knee lift.
00:47:58Colonel DeClercq now will be entering the ring.
00:48:01And this is the veteran of the team.
00:48:02This is the wild man.
00:48:05Wrist lock applied by Kalua.
00:48:07Takes it another turn.
00:48:10Nice move. Good counter move.
00:48:12Into a cradle, but he's in the ropes.
00:48:14This guy's held titles in a lot of different continents.
00:48:19He's been a wrestler for a long, long time.
00:48:21This is his big break here.
00:48:23He's gonna take full advantage of it.
00:48:28Wrist lock applied by Kalua.
00:48:31Another unique move. Nice nip-up.
00:48:34Single-legged him, cradled him, went behind.
00:48:37Kalua, very powerful lower body, obviously, and kicks out.
00:48:41Well, the colonel's taking his time with this guy.
00:48:43The colonel is not gonna just be beating,
00:48:45and he's not gonna beat the guy right off the bat.
00:48:47Both guys know that.
00:48:50Good move there, using the second rope for momentum.
00:48:52High cross body, but he couldn't get enough of it
00:48:54to get the pin there.
00:48:56There's a lot at stake in this match.
00:49:00Still to come, staying in the black scorpion face-to-face.
00:49:03The Horseman-Doom confrontation.
00:49:05It'll be one-on-one.
00:49:07Steiner brothers are here.
00:49:09Good double-team move by the contingent from South Africa.
00:49:15You know, that could have been a pin right there.
00:49:17What's wrong? Who's this referee?
00:49:19What's his name?
00:49:20Randy Anderson.
00:49:22Mm-hmm. Who poked him in the eyes before?
00:49:24Here comes the big man, The Beast.
00:49:27And the tag is made.
00:49:30Sgt. Kruger and The Beast.
00:49:34Is that a weave, or is that his natural hair?
00:49:37You would know more about weaves and hair than I would.
00:49:40They're exchanging those right hands.
00:49:44Wow! Clothesline!
00:49:47African style!
00:49:50Found its mark.
00:49:52The game faces are very, very evident here,
00:49:55and another tag by the South African team.
00:49:57Well, that's a smart move by the sergeant.
00:49:59Put the colonel in the ring.
00:50:00He's the veteran of the team.
00:50:02Here's the guy that's held titles all around the continent.
00:50:06He's the wrestler of the two.
00:50:08The sergeant is the brawler,
00:50:10and you're not gonna out-brawl this big man.
00:50:16Colonel to clerk.
00:50:17Give him some momentum.
00:50:20Big man standing tall.
00:50:23Having some trouble getting him down, obviously.
00:50:26And he caught him! Powerslam!
00:50:29That'll shake your Kruger-ans.
00:50:32Oh!
00:50:33The colonel sent for the Irish whip.
00:50:35He's met.
00:50:36He's buried into the midsection there.
00:50:40Another move up on the top rope.
00:50:42Beautiful!
00:50:43Sunset 360 all the way over,
00:50:45and he caught him with a clothesline coming out.
00:50:48Colonel to clerk is a high-flying competitor.
00:50:51Looks to me like he's ready to finish him off.
00:50:54Double ax handle there.
00:50:57He's gonna do it again.
00:51:00He's gonna do it one more time
00:51:02in case the cameras didn't get it.
00:51:05Another one puts the beast down on the canvas.
00:51:10I think the South Africans can light that victory cigar.
00:51:13He may be a colonel in the South African Air Force,
00:51:16for all we know.
00:51:17He's caught there!
00:51:18He's caught coming off.
00:51:20Big powerslam.
00:51:21Lateral press.
00:51:22One-two.
00:51:23And Sergeant Kruger interrupted the count there.
00:51:26You don't think he's gonna let his countrymen get hurt,
00:51:29do you?
00:51:32The beast with the atomic drop.
00:51:37And the beast showing his power.
00:51:41Four guys in there.
00:51:43They want to represent their continent
00:51:46at Starrcade.
00:51:49Good move!
00:51:52He dropkicks him!
00:51:54Got him!
00:51:55With an assist, can he hold him one, two?
00:51:57He got him!
00:51:58Kruger and The Clerk have advanced.
00:52:00Ladies and gentlemen, the winners of the match,
00:52:03Sergeant Kruger and Colonel DeClercq.
00:52:07They will be in the Pat O'Connor
00:52:10International Tag Team Tournament
00:52:12to be held at Starrcade.
00:52:14Add them to the list,
00:52:15which includes the Steiner Brothers,
00:52:17includes Saito and Muta.
00:52:19Yes, it is.
00:52:21Kruger and The Clerk from South Africa.
00:52:23I think the Steiner Brothers are in big, big trouble
00:52:26at Starrcade.
00:52:27Fans, he's a living legend,
00:52:28perhaps the greatest wrestling promoter
00:52:30in the history of the sport.

00:53:04And Lex Luger on his way back
00:53:06to get that U.S. title
00:53:07from Stan Larry Hansen.
00:53:09Let's go back in time
00:53:10and relive some of the moments
00:53:11between Stan Hansen and Lex Luger.
00:53:14Welcome back to TBS
00:53:15for the Clash of the Champions.
00:53:17Still to come next,
00:53:18the total package Lex Luger
00:53:20against the Motor City Madman.
00:53:22And Lex Luger.
00:53:26The feud between Stan Larry Hansen
00:53:28and the total package Lex Luger
00:53:30began in September
00:53:31at Clash of Champions 12.
00:53:33Hansen attacked Luger
00:53:34and made his intentions fully known
00:53:36to Luger and the world.
00:53:38He's trying to make a point
00:53:39on the number one contender
00:53:40for the world title.
00:53:43Hansen is brutalizing Lex Luger.
00:53:47He's got that big jab
00:53:48on that big rope now
00:53:49around the throat.
00:53:50Jim, as you say,
00:53:51he was bad, he was irate
00:53:52at being number six
00:53:54in the ranking.
00:53:56Hansen trying to choke the life
00:53:58out of Lex Luger
00:54:00with that bull rope.
00:54:02These two met again in Chicago
00:54:03at Halloween Havoc
00:54:04in a much anticipated bout
00:54:06for Luger's United States title.
00:54:08This match was one of the most
00:54:10intense battles ever witnessed
00:54:11and Hansen scored an upset victory
00:54:13over Luger to become
00:54:14the new United States champion.
00:54:17The referee is still down.
00:54:22Luger taking Hansen face first down.
00:54:26And now Luger says,
00:54:27it's time to put 300 plus

00:56:19But you know what, big cat?
00:56:21This is your lucky night

00:56:27Luger just nailed the big cat.
00:56:29What a cheap shot
00:56:30by Lex Luger.
00:56:33Lex Luger
00:56:35walking right off
00:56:36the interview set
00:56:38and nailing the big cat.
00:56:42Oh.

00:57:18in this one.
00:57:19The big cat
00:57:21just got Luger's face
00:57:22and just got the taste
00:57:23knocked out of his mouth.
00:57:24Oh, I tell you what,
00:57:25I think Luger showed
00:57:26his ignorance when he said,
00:57:28good thing comes
00:57:29to those who wait.
00:57:31Whoever said patience
00:57:32is a virtue
00:57:33is a man with too much
00:57:34time on his hands.
00:57:37This one will not be
00:57:38a pretty wrestling match.
00:57:39This is going to be
00:57:40a brawl.
00:57:46And ladies and gentlemen,
00:57:48his opponent,
00:57:49from Chicago, Illinois,
00:57:52weighing 271 pounds,

00:58:18And look who's coming
00:58:19down the aisle, Paul.
00:58:20Oh, I think I see a booty.

00:58:52The big cat.
00:58:56Well, he is un-intimidatable.
00:59:00He's not taking one step back
00:59:03from the total package,

00:59:07And Luger is not stepping back
00:59:09from the big cat either,

00:59:11But he has to go in the ring now
00:59:13with a guy 6'6", 344.
00:59:15And the Motor City Madman
00:59:17catching Luger coming in.
00:59:22Motor City Madman
00:59:23netting Luger from behind.
00:59:25They said that Luger
00:59:26started this one
00:59:27at a distinct disadvantage
00:59:28would be a gross understatement.
00:59:29Gee, I think I saw a booty, Ted.
00:59:33Oh, isn't that a shame?
00:59:34Luger has a disadvantage.
00:59:39The Motor City Madman
00:59:41is not a proficient,
00:59:43amateur-based wrestler.
00:59:45He is a brawler.
00:59:46He is a street fighter
00:59:47found in a pool hall.
00:59:49He missed with that elbow
00:59:50and Luger with a head-across body.
00:59:53But Luger wants to fight,
00:59:54catches him with a clothesline,
00:59:56and he really nailed him.
00:59:58But the Madman
00:59:59is not an easy man to put away.
01:00:03Luger with another elbow.
01:00:04And the Motor City Madman
01:00:06says, let's go rack him up
01:00:07and play some 8-ball.
01:00:08I want out of here.
01:00:09But just caught Luger downstairs
01:00:11with a right hand.
01:00:12He's gonna suplex him
01:00:13under the stage.
01:00:15Trying to get him up.
01:00:17He's a huge man, 344.
01:00:19Can never get him up.
01:00:21No way.
01:00:22No way he can do it.
01:00:24Oh, got him up.
01:00:27That's dead weight, 344 pounds,
01:00:31and Luger did it.
01:00:35Luger with a slam.
01:00:36The whole ring shaking.
01:00:41Big elbow.
01:00:42That's it.
01:00:43But the Madman rolled out of the way.
01:00:44And the Madman
01:00:45is from the streets of Detroit.
01:00:47He knows all about survival,
01:00:49and he's gonna capitalize
01:00:50on this mistake
01:00:51like you have never seen
01:00:53anybody capitalize
01:00:54on a mistake before.
01:00:56Luger sent for the ride there
01:00:58and nailed it
01:00:59with a lot of authority
01:01:00with that clothesline.
01:01:03The odds are against Luger here.
01:01:06He has Hanson on his mind.
01:01:08He has the big cat on his mind,
01:01:10and this guy is no lightweight either.
01:01:12Wow.
01:01:13Side slam.
01:01:14He dropped 344 pounds on him,
01:01:17and Lex Luger,
01:01:18the man that wants to regain
01:01:19the United States
01:01:20heavyweight championship
01:01:22at Starrcade with Stan Hanson.
01:01:24He's going for the backbreaker.
01:01:26Trying to get him up.
01:01:28Luger sets himself underneath,
01:01:30and Luger powered out.
01:01:32Phenomenal strength
01:01:34by the Total Package.
01:01:41Luger ramp.
01:01:42Turn around!
01:01:44Oh, wow.
01:01:45Luger counting
01:01:47with a clothesline,

01:01:49and Luger wins it.

01:01:52the winner of the match,
01:01:54the Total Package,

01:08:56Three more to the top,
01:08:58and the referee was detained on the other side of the ring,
01:09:00but Brian Nobbs did not see what should have been
01:09:04an automatic disqualification.
01:09:06And now Brian Nobbs, will he gain another advantage here?
01:09:09He's on the outside,
01:09:10smearing Youngblood into the security railing.
01:09:15Oh, isn't that a shame?
01:09:17Can't stand the fact that these guys are better cheaters
01:09:20than the Steiner brothers, can you?
01:09:24And if you want to talk about the Metal Ants on January 11th,
01:09:27if you want to talk about guts,
01:09:28I heard LT Lawrence Taylor is coming to the Metal Ants
01:09:32that had signed, sealed, and delivered.
01:09:34If he has any guts, maybe he'll go get Otis Anderson,
01:09:37and they'll step into the ring against the Nasty Boys.
01:09:42You hear that beating of the tom-tom there?
01:09:45Something like a Florida State yell here.
01:09:47We're in Seminole country, so to speak.
01:09:49Wow!
01:09:50He DDT'd his arm.
01:09:52Good move there by the Nasty Boys.
01:09:54Brian Nobbs stomping away now at Youngblood.
01:09:57Mark Youngblood suffering a lot of punishment
01:09:59from the hands of the physical Nasty Boys.
01:10:03Was there a tag there?
01:10:04I didn't see it.
01:10:05You weren't watching.
01:10:07Jerry Sags back in there, working on the arm.
01:10:10When they're good, they're very good.
01:10:13And when they're bad, they're nasty.
01:10:16Youngblood trying to make the tag.
01:10:18He made the tag.
01:10:19No, he didn't.
01:10:19He made the tag, and the referee,
01:10:21he didn't see it, so he's not going to allow the tag.
01:10:24An unfortunate occurrence for the Youngbloods,
01:10:27and the Nasty Boys continuing to work
01:10:29on Mark Youngblood here.
01:10:31They're gonna break that arm.
01:10:32Notice how the Nasty Boys keep going back to that arm.
01:10:35Good sound strategy by Sags and Nobbs.
01:10:40Scoops him up, has him up on his shoulder.
01:10:44Shoulder breaker.
01:10:45Shoulder breaker by Sags is right.
01:10:48Youngblood, this may be all for him.
01:10:51Here come the Steiners.
01:10:52No, no, no, no.
01:10:54Here come the Steiners.
01:10:57The Steiners nailing the Nasty Boys.
01:11:00The Steiners dominating the Nasty Boys.
01:11:03If they're so tough, why are they running?
01:11:06If they're so tough, why aren't they standing here fighting?
01:11:09They don't want any part of the Steiners.
01:11:11Fans will be back.
01:11:12And now this, from Big Van Vader, he's on his way back.
01:11:16Couple of jerks.
01:11:20MUSIC
01:11:51Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest,
01:11:54it is set for one fall.
01:11:56Introducing first, from Tallahassee, Florida,
01:12:00319 pounds,
01:12:04The Night Stalker.
01:12:07And of course, it says there with Ox Baker.
01:12:09Ox Baker, I understand, Paul, is the trainer of this man.
01:12:13And Ox Baker says, I don't need to be at ringside
01:12:15for my man to take care of Sid Vicious.
01:12:17They have such a strategy tonight for Sid Vicious.
01:12:21Ox Baker sitting back at home, watching this match on TV.
01:12:25MUSIC
01:12:28Better be a real sound strategy.
01:12:30Sid Vicious ain't no pushover.
01:12:33Ladies and gentlemen, his opponent,
01:12:36representing the Horsemen, from anywhere he darn well chooses,
01:12:41321 pounds,
01:12:45Big Sid Vicious.
01:12:49Sid Vicious is cranked.
01:12:51He is ready for this one.
01:12:52And here's what he had to say.
01:12:54MUSIC
01:13:00Night Stalker, I get through to you.
01:13:02I'm coming right up to you, Steve.
01:13:04Steve, you know one thing.
01:13:05I could beat you on my worst day.
01:13:08Because Sid Vicious rules the world.
01:13:12MUSIC
01:13:15Sid Vicious says he rules the world.
01:13:18This is a match between two super heavyweights.
01:13:22Both men well over 300 pounds.
01:13:24Look at this.
01:13:25This guy matches up to Sid in size.
01:13:27Look at this.
01:13:29I tell you what.
01:13:30Ox Baker better have a real sound game plan.
01:13:33Because he is so confident.
01:13:35I mean, look at this.
01:13:36This guy ain't backing up from Sid.
01:13:38Test of strength here.
01:13:40Are these two young lions here in world championship wrestling.
01:13:43Vicious representing the horsemen.
01:13:45Who will have their battle with doom a little bit later in this broadcast.
01:13:49Still to come, Sting and the Scorpion face to face in the live danger zone.
01:13:54Kick to the ribs.
01:13:56Vicious back up.
01:13:57Returns it in kind.
01:14:02Both men running together like a Mack trucks.
01:14:06I really, really want to see what the game plan is here.
01:14:11I mean, I'm a modern day Einstein.
01:14:13I was wrestling's greatest manager before I retired because I made so much money.
01:14:17And I don't know any way to beat Sid Vicious or even to hurt Sid Vicious.
01:14:21I want to see what Baker taught this guy.
01:14:24I want to see what the Night Stalker has in store for a 6'9", 300 some odd pound.
01:14:30I want to see what the Night Stalker has in store for a 6'9", 300 some odd pound.
01:14:35A big Sid Vicious.
01:14:37Vicious pops the ears, frees himself from the bear hug.
01:14:40But the Night Stalker reapplies it.
01:14:42A big powerful man.
01:14:44Both these men bench press and an excess of 500 pounds each.
01:14:49You know, Sid's in pain.
01:14:51Sid is in pain.
01:14:53I cannot believe this.
01:14:55The Night Stalker awesomely strong.
01:14:57Of course, so is Vicious.
01:14:59But right now, it's the Night Stalker with the advantage,
01:15:02using one of the most basic wrestling maneuvers in the sport, the bear hug.
01:15:07Vicious with that right hand, trying to free himself.
01:15:10And he finally does.
01:15:11The third right hand.
01:15:12The fourth right hand.
01:15:13Kicks him back into the corner.
01:15:17Vicious fighting now.
01:15:19It's not going to be the prettiest match in the card.
01:15:21Right in the ribs.
01:15:22He need him right in the ribs.
01:15:24And again, the Night Stalker.
01:15:26Perhaps they're going to work on the ribs of Sid Vicious.
01:15:28It's not just the ribs of Sid Vicious.
01:15:30Remember, those ribs were cracked.
01:15:32Remember, that lung was punctured.
01:15:35That lung was punctured a year ago.
01:15:37Sid Vicious was in the hospital for months and months and months.
01:15:41That's the strategy.
01:15:43That's the strategy.
01:15:44He's going after those ribs.
01:15:45He's going after that lung.
01:15:47If Vicious has any Achilles heels, so to speak, perhaps it is his ribs.
01:15:53The big man with a left hand fights back.
01:15:57Sid's hurt.
01:15:58Sid is hurt.
01:15:59I'm telling you, he's going for that punctured lung.
01:16:02They have gotten the only way to go for Sid.
01:16:09Night Stalker holding Vicious at bay.
01:16:12Vicious catching with the right hand.
01:16:14Coming down here.
01:16:15What's the big cat doing down here?
01:16:17He wants to see who the biggest cat in this jungle is too.
01:16:22Vicious suplex.
01:16:24Belly to back suplex by Sid Vicious.
01:16:26And Vicious just nailed the big cat.
01:16:32Vicious just tattooed the big cat.
01:16:34But he adds his back to the Night Stalker.
01:16:37You don't turn your back on the Night Stalker.
01:16:41Night Stalker going after him.
01:16:44Vicious with the right hand.
01:16:46Here comes the big cat.
01:16:49Vicious has got that big club-like thing.
01:16:52He nailed him in the throat.
01:16:53One, two, three.
01:16:54Vicious wins it.
01:16:57The fight is on.
01:16:58But there are two men in the ring against one.
01:17:02The Night Stalker and the big cat dominating Luger here.
01:17:06Or excuse me, Sid Vicious.
01:17:10They're going after that lung.
01:17:11They're going after those ribs.
01:17:13That's the game plan.
01:17:14That was Axe Baker's game plan.
01:17:16Vicious trying to find his way out of predicament.
01:17:18Vicious smartly rolls outside.
01:17:22Boy, the Night Stalker and the big cat have started something with Sid Vicious.
01:17:26They may regret.
01:17:28Vicious has a steel chair.
01:17:30They've worked on those ribs and that lung.
01:17:35He's hurt.
01:17:36I cannot believe it.
01:17:37Finally, it's been discovered.
01:17:39Tony Schiavone is standing by, fans.
01:17:41Tony, take it away.
01:17:44Okay, Jim Ross and Paulie Dangerously earlier in the program.
01:17:48A victory for the Fabulous Freebird.
01:17:50I've got to tell you something, Tony, Tony, Tony.
01:17:53I bet that big giant right now is in the box on the way to Argentina somewhere.
01:17:59What a night it's been.
01:18:02Was that funny or not?
01:18:03What we did, we punched him in the nose, kicked him in the stomach, shoved him in this big box.
01:18:09Then we taped it all up and we wrote Sid to Argentina on it.
01:18:14Collect.
01:18:15And then we shoved it into the airplane.
01:18:17And away it went.
01:18:19What a night, I've got to tell you.
01:18:22Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
01:18:23Hey, what are you doing?
01:18:25You want some more of the birds, baby?
01:18:27You want some more of Bad Street?
01:18:30Hey, I'll tie one hand behind my back and we'll do it all over again.
01:18:36What happened?
01:18:38All right, the Fabulous Freebirds.
01:18:42Uh-oh.
01:18:45Seven feet seven.
01:18:46Hey, Freebirds, you're not so bad, are you now?
01:18:49You gutless cowards.
01:18:50Next time we get our hands on you, you're butt-sized because we've got 7'7", 450 pounds of Ali Gante,
01:18:57and he's going to be on you like a duck on a jumbo.
01:19:01Ali Gante here with the Southern Boys on the Clash of Champions.
01:19:06More action, but right now, let's hear from Missy Hyatt.
01:19:10Isn't the Clash tonight great?

01:19:19It's at 605 here on TBS.
01:19:22Iron Anderson will defend his world television title against Terry Taylor,
01:19:26and we'll be back with more of the Clash right after this.
01:19:29♪♪
01:19:41Welcome back, everyone, to the Clash of Champions.
01:19:44We're live here in Jacksonville.
01:19:46Welcome back to the Clash, everyone.
01:19:48Before we see the Steiner Brothers in action, they've already been out here once tonight.
01:19:52Let's go back in time and show you their attack on the Nasty Boys.
01:19:56Youngblood, and this may be all for him.
01:19:58Wait a minute. Here come the Steiners.
01:20:00No, no, no.
01:20:02Here come the Steiners.
01:20:05The Steiners nailing the Nasty Boys.
01:20:08The Steiners dominating the Nasty Boys.
01:20:11If they're so tough, why are they running?
01:20:13If they're so tough, why aren't they standing here and fighting?
01:20:19And now let's go back up to Gary Capessa.
01:20:21The Steiners are fired up, and they're next.
01:20:23Ladies and gentlemen, the following tag team event, it is a one-fall.

01:21:16in the first-ever Pat O'Connor International Tag Team Tournament.
01:21:21They're seated number one, as they take on Magnum Force here.
01:21:24And they're a bad example for the youth of America.
01:21:27I disagree with that wholeheartedly.
01:21:29Oh, come on now. Ours is not a vengeful society,
01:21:33despite what the Guardian Angels tell you.
01:21:35And these guys came out for revenge against the Nasty Boys.
01:21:39They acted like a couple of street punks,
01:21:41and I should give the Nasty Boys my lawyer Seymour Green's business card,
01:21:45because they have a lawsuit against these guys.
01:21:49Single-leg pick-up by Scott Steiner,
01:21:51the former All-American from the University of Michigan,
01:21:54stomping away in pro-wrestling style,
01:21:57sending Magnum Force for the ride, tilt-over!
01:22:03Another slam!
01:22:06If these guys represent the United States of America,
01:22:11then I'm moving to Canada.
01:22:14I'm ashamed of them.
01:22:15They acted like a couple of street punks.
01:22:18They should be arrested.
01:22:19Knee to the midsection. Here comes the dog-faced gremlin.
01:22:22Yes, they're barking.
01:22:25Bunch of animals in this. Bunch of animals here.
01:22:29Tony Schiavone's gonna be talking to the Horseman in a few moments.
01:22:32Still to come, the Danger Zone with Sting and the Scorpion,
01:22:35and then Horseman Dooms showdown.
01:22:36All that and more still to come here at the Clash.
01:22:39He missed with that clothesline.

01:22:47Banner line!
01:22:54Another right by Rick Steiner.

01:23:34Banner line!
01:23:36The Steiners nailing the Nasty Boys!
01:23:40The Nasty Boys cannot handle the Steiners!
01:23:44Close the book on that one!
01:23:46They better pick another day to jump the Steiners!
01:23:51This is the end of the match by Steiner Brothers!
01:23:58They are bad, and they'll represent our country at Starrcade!
01:24:04I'm ashamed of being American!
01:24:06Let's go to Tony Schiavone, fans!
01:24:09Okay, Jim Ross and Paulie Dangerously.
01:24:11I have in my hand what's going to go down here tonight.
01:24:14Either Ric Flair in this bill of sale contract
01:24:18will give over his 65-foot limo and the yacht,
01:24:22or Teddy Long is going to wear a chauffeur's outfit.
01:24:25He's going to chauffeur around for a day,
01:24:27but more importantly, if the horsemen win this one-on-one match tonight,
01:24:31you gentlemen get the rematch at Starrcade.
01:24:34Well, let's tell it like it is!
01:24:38We are!
01:24:41Whether you like it or don't like it,
01:24:45we are the horsemen!
01:24:48And tonight, live, nationwide,
01:24:53one of us goes against one of them.
01:24:56Keep in mind, the world television champion,
01:25:01and in my own modest right,
01:25:04six times your world champion,
01:25:08so Simmons, Ewan Reed, and Teddy Long,
01:25:12remember, tonight, you've got to walk the aisle!
01:25:20Tony Schiavone, it's a simple case of man's greed
01:25:25completely destroying them.
01:25:28Okay, fans, still to come,
01:25:30the Danger Zone with Paulie Daders-Leon Singh and the Black Smokin'.
01:25:50Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen,
01:25:51to the Clash of Champions in just a few moments.
01:25:53We'll be going to the live Danger Zone.
01:25:55We've waited on this one a long time.
01:25:57Sting and the Black Scorpion will be face-to-face
01:26:00along with our colleague, Paulie Daders-Leon.
01:26:02But let's go back in time and show you how this entire situation
01:26:06between the Mysterious Masked Man
01:26:08and the heavyweight champion of the world started.
01:26:13Los Angeles, 86.
01:26:18The Mysterious Black Scorpion seemingly came out of nowhere,
01:26:21but his intentions were never a mystery.
01:26:25I hope, I hope, as I intend,
01:26:29that you're slowly losing your mind.
01:26:32One thing you must remember,
01:26:35while everybody, including the horsemen, are chasing you,
01:26:40there's a big difference.
01:26:43Sid wants your belt.
01:26:47I want your life.
01:26:52Sting and his alleged former acquaintance
01:26:54met at Clash of Champions 12,
01:26:56but what happened shocked everyone.
01:26:59He's got another mask on!
01:27:00What the heck is that?
01:27:01He said if he lost...
01:27:03Wait a minute, Jim, what's that coming down the ramp?
01:27:05Look!
01:27:06Bob, look at the back!
01:27:07In the back, back there, what a...
01:27:09Hey, look at Sting, look at...
01:27:11Jim, who is that? What is that?
01:27:14My God!
01:27:15That's the...
01:27:16That's the Black Scorpion.
01:27:18Sting traveled to Chicago to defend the world title,
01:27:20but the Black Scorpion appeared again.
01:27:24Come!
01:27:26I will give it to you.
01:27:29Sting!
01:27:31Sting!
01:27:33Try, try to defeat the Black Scorpion.
01:27:39The Black Scorpion's black magic will be too much,
01:27:43too powerful for you.
01:27:46Sting, I have come to defeat you.
01:27:51As the pressure continued to mount
01:27:53on the popular world's champion,
01:27:55the Black Scorpion mysteriously appeared
01:27:57to be everywhere Sting was.
01:28:02Before you get carried away,
01:28:04I want you to listen to me once again,
01:28:07Black Sting.
01:28:12Surprised?
01:28:15You should be.
01:28:17Pay attention to your match, Sting.
01:28:21That's a Scorpion.
01:28:23Fight, Sting. Fight.
01:28:27Fight, Sting.
01:28:29Tonight, they meet face to face.
01:28:31And what will happen?
01:28:34Ladies and gentlemen, that's the big question.
01:28:36What will happen?
01:28:38Let's go now, ladies.
01:28:40You see the whole situation has been really wild and crazy.
01:28:43Let's go now to Paul Erdman.
01:28:45We've waited on this.
01:28:47The first man tonight
01:28:49that has enough guts
01:28:51to enter the Danger Zone
01:28:53is the heavyweight champion of the world!
01:28:57Ladies and gentlemen, this is Sting!
01:29:04What an ovation for the world's heavyweight champion.
01:29:07He has been tormented.
01:29:09His mind trying to be, keep clear for his title defenses.
01:29:13The Black Scorpion trying to possess the mind of the world champion.
01:29:20You wanted it.
01:29:22You've asked for it.
01:29:24I told you I'm the Mike Wallace of wrestling.
01:29:28Well, I got it for you.
01:29:30Tonight, you will finally have the chance
01:29:33to face to face.
01:29:35See, the Black Scorpion under three...
01:29:37Do me a favor and everybody else out here
01:29:40and everybody out there in TV land, shut up.
01:29:45I've been warned against doing this,
01:29:48but it's something that I gotta do
01:29:50and I'm gonna do it.
01:29:52Chance face to face.
01:29:54Okay, I'm not disagreeing with...
01:29:57What you doing? Annoying the sound engineer?
01:30:00But what I'm telling you is...
01:30:03Will you cut the music? I'm talking.
01:30:05Hey!
01:30:06Cut the music, I'm talking.
01:30:08Hey!
01:30:09Hey, whoa, whoa!
01:30:10Sting, I'm here, Sting.
01:30:13Watch me while I show you...
01:30:16Don't do it, you made a deal with them.
01:30:18Hey, hey, you made a deal with them.
01:30:20I made a deal.
01:30:21Watch Sting.
01:30:23Yeah, deals are deals, what's this?
01:30:26What is he doing to this guy?
01:30:29Stay where you are.
01:30:30No, you made a deal with them.
01:30:32I have to stand here, Paul.
01:30:33What's he doing?
01:30:34Watch very closely, Sting.
01:30:37More black magic.
01:30:38Watch this.
01:30:40Black magic.
01:30:42Sting, I'm too powerful.
01:30:46And stern as God.
01:30:48And stern as God.
01:30:50You made a deal.
01:30:51You told him he could show you black magic.
01:30:53I'm letting him do his stuff.
01:30:54Fine, let him do it.
01:30:55Watch me, Sting.
01:30:57Keep him back dangerously.
01:30:59Remember the agreement?
01:31:00You're throwing him in the cage.
01:31:02Yes, the cage.
01:31:04Watch now, Sting.
01:31:07Now hold him, hold him.
01:31:08You promised him.
01:31:12Watch very closely, Sting.
01:31:14I'll show you powers you never knew I possess.
01:31:22Whoa, whoa, whoa.
01:31:23Whoa, whoa.
01:31:26Now you made him a deal.
01:31:28You made him a deal.
01:31:29What is he?
01:31:31What is this?
01:31:33My powers.
01:31:34Hey, I'm not going to stand for this.
01:31:36I'm going to jump down there in a second.
01:31:38I don't care about a rule, Pollock.
01:31:40You made him a deal.
01:31:42Yeah, I don't care.
01:31:44Hey, get back here.
01:31:48Sting, get back here.
01:31:55What in the world?
01:31:57Where did he go?
01:32:01See you at Stargate, Sting.
01:32:05He's done it again, fans.
01:32:06This is bizarre, so bizarre.
01:32:08We'll be back in just a moment.
01:32:10Where'd he go?
01:32:16World Championship Wrestling presents
01:32:17Stargate 90 Collision Course.
01:32:19Make plans to witness an explosive event
01:32:21of galactic proportions.
01:32:22Stargate 90 Collision Course, live only on
01:32:25pay-per-view Sunday, December 16th.
01:32:27Call your local cable operator for availability.
01:32:35All right, fans, what a bizarre set of circumstances
01:32:38surrounding the Black Scorpion and Sting
01:32:40as we head to Stargate.
01:32:42And as we heard before from the horsemen,
01:32:44their moment is at hand with Doom.
01:32:47It's here, the line in the limo,
01:32:49going up against a chance to go to Stargate 90 Collision Course.
01:32:54It's here, the line in the limo,
01:32:56going up against a chance to go to Stargate 90 Collision Course.
01:33:01Going up against a chance to go to Stargate
01:33:03and Teddy Long has a chauffeur.
01:33:05Let's take a look back in time
01:33:06at what has transpired leading up
01:33:08to tonight's big main event.
01:33:10You understand what I'm saying?
01:33:12I think Teddy Long's been up more than he can chill.
01:33:14The feud between wrestling's two most controversial units
01:33:17began on a danger zone
01:33:18when Paul E. Dangerously was interviewing the horsemen.
01:33:21Doom obviously did not want to share the spotlight.
01:33:25...the notoriety of being the użyte.
01:33:28I've had enough of you, McMahon, running your mouth,
01:33:32talking about what the Horsemen are going to do to Doom.
01:33:35Well, let me tell you something.
01:33:36Surely you're not talking to me, little man.
01:33:39Hey, wait.
01:33:40Oh, they're saying, hey, let him go, let him go.
01:33:45With battle lines drawn, the Horsemen and Doom
01:33:48met at Halloween Havoc for Doom's World Tag Team titles.
01:33:52In one of the wildest bouts ever witnessed,
01:33:54both teams were disqualified.
01:33:56However, Doom retained the tag titles.
01:33:59Anderson, over here to the security railing.
01:34:02You wanted havoc on Halloween?
01:34:04You got it right here.
01:34:07They're on the outside, and here comes Reed.
01:34:09And now all four men are out there.
01:34:12This is like a Bengali brawl.
01:34:16There are those chops, fists by Doom.
01:34:19Chops and fists by the Horsemen.
01:34:21They're going down the aisle.
01:34:23The referee's back in the ring.
01:34:24They've only got a 10 count to get back.
01:34:26They're calling for a bell.
01:34:28Both teams are being counted out.
01:34:31The Horsemen lobbied for a World Tag Title rematch,
01:34:34but Doom manager Theodore Arlong refused
01:34:37until his terms were met.
01:34:39Ric Flair, do I make myself clear?
01:34:42That Rolls Royce limousine, that 65 foot yacht,
01:34:46take it or leave it.
01:34:47Now you make up your mind right now, or I'm out of here, pal.
01:34:50Don't ever make the mistake of thinking
01:34:53you can crank on me, pal, on national TV.
01:34:57The bet's on.
01:34:58But remember this, to ride around in that limo
01:35:02and to drive up and down Lake Lanier in that boat,
01:35:06you got to beat me or Arn Anderson.
01:35:08Part with that mind, pal.
01:35:11Arlong felt very comfortable with the deal
01:35:13in prospect of winning Ric Flair's own personal Rolls
01:35:15Royce and a chance to win the World Tag Title.
01:35:18He was determined to win the Rolls Royce and his yacht
01:35:21until he received a surprise gift box.
01:35:24It also says that if they win,
01:35:27then Teddy Long must be their chauffeur for a day.
01:35:30I'm a horseman.
01:35:31What?
01:35:32Didn't you read the fine print?
01:35:33Hey, come on, Rolls, is this some kind of conspiracy?
01:35:37I never read nothing like that.
01:35:38I signed a contract, but I never read that.
01:35:41Do you think I'm gonna wear this stuff right here?
01:35:43You're gonna be chauffeur for a day
01:35:44if your men don't win Tuesday night.
01:35:46Well, let me tell you something,
01:35:47that doom will take out either Ric Flair or Arn Anderson,
01:35:50and I'm not gonna wear no silver cap.
01:35:52I'm not gonna wear no coat, no gloves, or nothing.
01:35:54All right?
01:35:55Don't bring me out here
01:35:56and humiliate me or try to embarrass me.
01:35:59Ladies and gentlemen, introducing first,
01:36:02the godfather of professional wrestling,
01:36:05Theodore Arlong presents the World Tag Team Champions,
01:36:11Ron Simmons, Butch Reed, the Team of Thieves.
01:36:17The number one tag team in the world today.
01:36:24But Paul, tonight, right here at the Clash of Champions,
01:36:27it's not going to be a tag team match.
01:36:29The participants will be determined by a coin toss
01:36:32that referee Nick Patrick will execute.
01:36:35But this is an awesome combination.
01:36:42What was that in the cage?
01:36:44A live tiger.
01:36:47I can't believe it.
01:36:48I've never seen anything like it.
01:36:51And ladies and gentlemen, the Horseman.
01:36:55First, from the great state of Minnesota,
01:36:58weighing 248 pounds, the World Television Champion,
01:37:05The Enforcer, Arn Anderson.
01:37:07Arn Anderson.
01:37:13And the number one, weighing 248 pounds,
01:37:19six times former World Heavyweight Champion,
01:37:23Nature Boy, Rick Laird.
01:37:32Let's go up to the ring now and get the instructions here.
01:37:38And now, ladies and gentlemen,
01:37:39the referee, Nick Patrick, with the coin toss.
01:37:43All right, gentlemen, you've been instructed
01:37:44of the rules in the back.
01:37:46We're going to do a coin toss right now
01:37:47to determine who's going to represent each team.
01:37:50Doom, you call first.
01:37:57All right.
01:38:01This man right here will represent
01:38:03the World Tag Team Champion, Soul Brother, Butch Reed.
01:38:06All right, Butch Reed will represent the team of Doom.
01:38:10Gentlemen, call it in the air.
01:38:13Heads.
01:38:14Heads it is.
01:38:15Rick Flair will represent the Horseman.
01:38:18That's to the Horseman's advantage.
01:38:19All right, ladies and gentlemen,
01:38:20we'll get this one underway,
01:38:22but right now, let's take our final commercial timeout,
01:38:24and we'll be back with Flair and Reed one-on-one.
01:38:28Let's go.
01:38:43And we are back here, ladies and gentlemen,
01:38:46Jim Ross and Paul Lee, Dana Lee, at ringside.
01:38:48It's Hacksaw, Butch Reed,
01:38:50and the legendary Nature Boy, Rick Flair, one-on-one.
01:38:53for the right, a lot of, we're talking about the right to wrestle at StarCade
01:38:58for the World Tag Team Titles.
01:39:00Interesting situation here, a lot on the line here.
01:39:03If the Horsemen win, they get their rematch.
01:39:05Teddy Long's gotta be their chauffeur for a day.
01:39:07If Reed wins, then Long's gonna win the yacht
01:39:12and the Rolls-Royce limousine, and no rematch at StarCade.
01:39:18This is to the Horsemen's advantage.
01:39:21I'll tell you right now, this was a tag team match tonight.
01:39:24I predict Doom.
01:39:25They are the greatest tag team champions of all time.
01:39:28But Nature Boy Ric Flair is a one-on-one wrestler.
01:39:31But Reed is in a tag team mode.
01:39:32Are you happy with the way it was drawn there, Teddy?
01:39:34You gotta believe I'm happy with the way it was drawn.
01:39:36There's no other man on the world in the tag team of Doom
01:39:39more qualified than Soul Brother Butch Reed
01:39:41to take out Ric Flair tonight.
01:39:43And we're gonna be riding on that boat,
01:39:45and we're gonna be riding in that limousine,
01:39:47and you gotta believe it.
01:39:48Hey, have you tried on that chauffeur's uniform?
01:39:50Don't get funny with me, Ruff.
01:39:51You try it on. It looks like it's your size.
01:39:54Well, that's enough from him.
01:39:55Must be extra, extra, extra large.
01:39:58Straight right hand by Hacksaw Butch Reed.
01:40:00And another one, he met that left jab, caught Flair,
01:40:03and down goes the incomparable Nature Boy.
01:40:05Yeah, but you see, right here is where Butch Reed
01:40:07might be looking for a tag.
01:40:08Butch Reed has been in a tag team mode
01:40:10for the past two years.
01:40:12Ric Flair is the greatest heavyweight champion
01:40:14as far as up to two of all time.
01:40:15Big right hand by Hacksaw Butch Reed.
01:40:21Reed really nailing Nature Boy, Ric Flair.
01:40:24He's got him!
01:40:25Whoa!
01:40:26Gorilla slam by Reed!
01:40:29Ric Flair, a big Florida football fan,
01:40:32was here in Jacksonville to watch the Florida-Georgia game.
01:40:36I think he wanted to wrestle Ron Simmons,
01:40:38who's a Florida State alumni.
01:40:40Clothesline by Reed, and the former Kansas City Chief
01:40:44sends Flair over the top outside.
01:40:47Yeah, but if you notice,
01:40:48the Nature Boy's not looking for any help.
01:40:51He's not looking.
01:40:52Look at Simmons, taking a cheap shot.
01:40:54Oh!
01:40:57Orton Anderson having to be restrained by Nick Patrick.
01:41:02Notice Nature Boy, Ric Flair, though.
01:41:04He comes right back at Reed.
01:41:07Nature Boy, Ric Flair, is the greatest one-on-one wrestler
01:41:10I have ever seen.
01:41:11This is to his advantage.
01:41:13Flair with a knee, and then he left the ring
01:41:16to break the momentum of Hacksaw Butch Reed.
01:41:18They're out there on the runway, and a clothesline
01:41:21by Reed.
01:41:22It's a power match thus far.
01:41:24Perfectly executed by Hacksaw Butch Reed,
01:41:27who's about 285.
01:41:29He's 285, but he's still a tag team wrestler,
01:41:32and he's in there against Nature Boy, Ric Flair.
01:41:35Sooner or later, the odds are against Reed.
01:41:39Nice move there by Flair Reed.
01:41:42What a bridge up with Flair on top of him.
01:41:46Flair trying to counter out.
01:41:47Now test of strength.
01:41:48Reed with the advantage.
01:41:50One, two, oh!
01:41:52He's close to being pinned here.
01:41:55Nature Boy, Ric Flair, knows by instinct
01:41:57how to survive in a match.
01:41:59He knows how not to be pinned.
01:42:01That's why he's a six-time heavyweight champion.
01:42:04Right hand by Reed.
01:42:06The big man from Missouri hammers down
01:42:10at Hacksaw, at Nature Boy, Ric Flair.
01:42:15Oh, oh!
01:42:18Flair in a lot of trouble, needless to say.
01:42:23Field right out of the corner.
01:42:24And a drop kick by Reed.
01:42:26He got all 285 up for that drop kick.
01:42:30But notice the survival instincts
01:42:32of Nature Boy, Ric Flair.
01:42:33Notice the survival instincts, how he will not-
01:42:36Poke to the eye.
01:42:37Beautiful.
01:42:39No matter how big, no matter how strong Reed is,
01:42:41you're never strong in the eyes.
01:42:43You can't work out the eyelids in a gym.
01:42:46Remember this one.
01:42:47If Flair wins, they get their rematch
01:42:49for the world title at Starrcade,
01:42:51exclusively on pay-per-view.
01:42:54If Flair, and also Long's gotta be their chauffeur for a day.
01:42:57If Flair loses, there's no rematch.
01:42:59And Teddy Long wins Flair's Rolls-Royce limousine
01:43:02in his 65-foot yacht.
01:43:04Yeah, but if Doom wins, what do they get, huh?
01:43:07What do Reed and Simmons get?
01:43:08This is to the Horseman's advantage
01:43:10because Flair and Arn have a lot at stake
01:43:13and a lot to gain.
01:43:14The Horseman has nothing to gain.
01:43:16They have not to wrestle the Horseman again.
01:43:18Of course they have something to gain.
01:43:19But I think Reed and Simmons want to wrestle the Horseman.
01:43:22I mean, they're great world tag team champions.
01:43:24They thrive on competition.
01:43:26There's a big four-time All-American
01:43:28from Florida State, Ron Simmons.
01:43:33I know great fans all over the country watching this.
01:43:36Oh, by Flair.
01:43:37Hear that one.
01:43:39And another one.
01:43:40Shaking the rafters of the Veterans Memorial Coliseum
01:43:43in Jacksonville, Florida, where we are live.
01:43:53Referee detained, and Flair tosses Reed over the top.
01:43:57He says he's the dirtiest player in the game.
01:44:00And now Arn Anderson.
01:44:03Taking advantage while he can.
01:44:07You want to play one-upmanship with the Horseman.
01:44:11Arn Anderson, as the world turns.
01:44:14As the world turns.
01:44:16There you go.
01:44:17The former heavyweight champion of the world
01:44:20and the world television champion.
01:44:22No way they're going to get beat tonight.
01:44:24No way.
01:44:27Flair stomping Reed viciously.
01:44:29Referee Nick Patrick over here by us,
01:44:32trying to get Ron Simmons on the other side of the ring.
01:44:34And there's the enforcer.
01:44:36Waiting for his chance.
01:44:38Anderson with a left hand.
01:44:39It found a smark on the jaw of Hacksaw Burt Reed.
01:44:43Like I said, it was a tag team match.
01:44:46I'll give it to Doom, but it's not a tag team match.
01:44:48It's one-on-one.
01:44:50And you got Simmons and Arn on the outside,
01:44:52but the Horseman will not let Doom take this away from them.
01:44:56It's almost a tradition to see the Nature Boy
01:44:59in the main event at the Clash of Champions.
01:45:01He was in the main event at the very first one.
01:45:04He'll be in the main event Thanksgiving night
01:45:06in the Omni in Atlanta.
01:45:07This is a legend in his own time.
01:45:10And the chips are down.
01:45:10This is his specialty.
01:45:11But Reed, oh, what a chop
01:45:14against those massive pictorial muscles of Reed.
01:45:18Reed with a stinging lip.
01:45:20And another.
01:45:22Flair chops him viciously in the corner.
01:45:30The intensity of World Championship Wrestling
01:45:33coming right into your living room here.
01:45:35Now, Nature Boy has to slow down the pace.
01:45:38Nature Boy has to make it a Horseman's kind of match.
01:45:41If he fights Reed on his own terms, he can't beat him.
01:45:44Big right hand by Reed.
01:45:46Down goes Flair.
01:45:48This match taking its physical toll
01:45:51on both these superb athletes.
01:45:53Flair backs away into the corner.
01:45:57It's all on the line right here.
01:46:02Irish whip.
01:46:05Flair upside down.
01:46:06He got his balance.
01:46:08Wow.
01:46:09Big right hand by Simmons.
01:46:12This crowd taking a rough at the Coliseum.
01:46:16Flair to the rail.
01:46:22The intensity is simply electrifying here.
01:46:27Now it's to Reed's advantage.
01:46:29Right now, Ric Flair's hurt.
01:46:30Rod Simmons had his hands on the Nature Boy,
01:46:33but look, Reed has taken his time.
01:46:35He's made a mistake.
01:46:37Either he capitalizes on Flair's injury,
01:46:39or right there, the Nature Boy's gonna show why.
01:46:41He's a former heavyweight champion of the world.
01:46:43One of those big right hands of Reed
01:46:45has busted Flair's lip.
01:46:47That won't slow down the Nature Boy.
01:46:49A man many consider the greatest
01:46:51world's champion of all time.
01:46:54Now, busted lip's not gonna stop Nature Boy, Ric Flair.
01:46:56This guy's spilled more blood than any wrestler
01:46:59I've ever seen in my life,
01:47:00and he still is the most successful one-on-one grappler
01:47:03in the power sport.
01:47:04Snapping there by Flair.
01:47:05Taking the 285-pounder over.
01:47:09Drops a knee on the head of Reed,
01:47:11and Reed now in serious trouble.
01:47:13Here are the class of champions.
01:47:15I don't care if you have a head made out of granite.
01:47:18That has got to hurt.
01:47:25Well, missed the knee there.
01:47:27Reed spinning leg lock, going for the figure four.
01:47:30That's Flair's home!
01:47:33How much can Flair stay into this?
01:47:35They're in the center of the ring.
01:47:37The figure four leg lock, perfected by that man.
01:47:42His shoulders are down, and we are so close.
01:47:44Less than six inches away from victory for doom.
01:47:51Great athletes around the country watching this one,
01:47:53like Brad Muster of the Bears,
01:47:55and Bill Fralick of the Falcons.
01:47:57Brad Doherty of the Cleveland Bronx.
01:48:00Bill Fralick of the Falcons.
01:48:01Brad Doherty of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
01:48:04All big WCW fans,
01:48:06and they're getting their money's worth here.
01:48:08He's on the ropes.
01:48:10He's on, break the hold!
01:48:14Orton Anderson trying to pull Flair outside.
01:48:16Now he's under the ropes, and it will have to be broken.
01:48:20But the jury is out.
01:48:22How much damage has been done to Flair's legs?
01:48:25How much will this lessen Flair's mobility?
01:48:28He has to break the hold.
01:48:30That's how you break a hold.
01:48:31There you go.
01:48:34Hey, I'll tell you what, he could have disqualified him,
01:48:37and the Horsemen will get their rematch.
01:48:38Nick Patrick just gave Doom a break there,
01:48:41in my estimation.
01:48:47Front face lock by Reed.
01:48:49Flair out there on the apron.
01:48:51He's blocking it.
01:48:52He's trying to block it.
01:48:53Reed is awesomely strong.
01:48:55A 500 pound big face brings him back in.
01:48:59Flair in trouble.
01:49:00This might be it.
01:49:01One, two.
01:49:06Flair less than a second away from losing it all.
01:49:11But he still didn't get the three count, did he?
01:49:16Reed now back to wrestling that power match,
01:49:19just as this contest started.
01:49:21And now Reed taking a big chance here
01:49:23on the second turnbuckle.
01:49:25Nobody home.
01:49:26Flair moved out of the way.
01:49:27A big break for the Horsemen.
01:49:28But is Flair physically able to capitalize on this one?
01:49:32He can go for it with instinct.
01:49:33You're talking about a guy that has learned
01:49:35throughout the years when your opponent is hurt.
01:49:38Capitalize on it, no matter how hurt you are.
01:49:40Go for the kill.
01:49:42A rematch at Starrcade.
01:49:44Exclusively on pay-per-view.
01:49:46Hangs in the balance here.
01:49:47There's a close on by Reed.
01:49:49And Flair is down again.
01:49:52But notice Flair trying to fight up.
01:49:54One.
01:49:56Barely up, just inches away from the canvas.
01:50:02Reed now climbs on top.
01:50:05I don't know why Reed is doing this.
01:50:07He should be trying to go for the pin.
01:50:09This is not putting Flair's shoulders to the mat.
01:50:13But he's punishing the former world's champion
01:50:15with a vengeance.
01:50:16With a vengeance.
01:50:20I think Flair's busted.
01:50:22He hit him right above the eye with those right hands.
01:50:25Pops him again.
01:50:29What a chop!
01:50:35Straight right by Reed.
01:50:39Nailing Flair again.
01:50:40Yeah, but notice by instinct,
01:50:41Flair turns over on his belly.
01:50:43He doesn't want his shoulders on the mat.
01:50:46Reed, gorilla slamming Flair.
01:50:47This may be it right now.
01:50:49How much more can any human being withstand?
01:50:52The gorilla slam.
01:50:55You got him!
01:50:56And Flair nailed Reed with a ride.
01:50:58He took advantage of the referee's positioning.
01:51:01One, two.
01:51:04His foot's on the rope.
01:51:08Teddy Long put that foot on the rope.
01:51:10Teddy Long put his foot on the rope.
01:51:16Again, they're exchanging rights.
01:51:18The fatigue factor's got to be setting in here.
01:51:22He's elevated.
01:51:25Flair really been battered and hammered by Reed thus far.
01:51:30Again!
01:51:32The third gorilla slam Flair has sustained in this contest.
01:51:36A lateral press.
01:51:37One!
01:51:38One!
01:51:39Two!
01:51:40And a shoulder up.
01:51:41But Anderson pulled him outside.
01:51:43Anderson pulled the ref outside.
01:51:46To perhaps prevent the pin.
01:51:48Reed's going up top.
01:51:50This is how he won the world tag team title.
01:51:55Reed with a shoulder block on Flair.
01:52:00Flair is hurt.
01:52:03Flair's leg is hurt.
01:52:05The referee's on Teddy Long.
01:52:08Long is an idiot, I cannot believe.
01:52:10He is distracting the referee.
01:52:12They could win the match right here.
01:52:16A tactical error, perhaps by Theodore R. Long,
01:52:18that has given Flair time to recuperate.
01:52:25Oh my gosh.
01:52:26They're all down.
01:52:27Reed fell on Nick Patrick and on Teddy Long.
01:52:31They're all out.
01:52:33Simmons in the ring.
01:52:35Ron Simmons just nailed Flair with a clothesline.
01:52:38Reed's going to pin him here, but no referee in sight.
01:52:41Here comes Double A!
01:52:43He's got a chair!
01:52:46Anderson with a chair in the back of the head.
01:52:49Simmons thinks his team has won it.
01:52:51The referee back in the ring.
01:52:53One, two, three, go!
01:52:55The Horsemen win it!
01:53:02The Horsemen win it!
01:53:03They'll get their rematch at Starrcade.
