00:11Hi Luis, yes, thanks for this opportunity to keep informing all of our audience in the

00:21Caribbean, Latin America, and the world as a whole about what is going on here in Venezuela.

00:27Yes, as you were saying, currently I'm at the Savannah Grande Boulevard here in Chacao

00:33Municipality, one of the main trade and marketplaces, landmarks here in Caracas, and this is one

00:42of the many places when people come to do beauty shopping, maybe they can find some

00:49goods for their homes, but this is so different from where the place we were at Petare.

00:55Back then, we were at a farmer's market, and this is just a boulevard full of little

01:01shops, markets, and vendors in the streets.

01:04As you can see behind me, and as you can see maybe in support takes, this is crowded, okay?

01:11The Savannah Grande Boulevard is packed, full of people that are doing their walks on Saturday,

01:18they are doing their shopping here in Savannah Grande, and they are also coming here to

01:25find other services because this boulevard is full of other, maybe clinics, places where

01:32you can find beauty articles, beauty garments, and people are just coming in here to do so.

01:41Also, I wanted to say that it is notable, and you can see, you can have the evidence,

01:47the graphic evidence of the mobility in the city because, as some people were referring,

01:53yesterday they faced some difficulties to just come in here to do leisure activities

01:58because of the stoppage of the subway lines, even though today, after the full recovery

02:04of the subway lines, you can see how many people have come in here because the boulevard

02:10of Savannah Grande starts in Chacaito, there is another stop of the subway line, which

02:16is Savannah Grande itself, and afterwards there is Plaza Venezuela.

02:21So there are three subway stops that go through this line under this boulevard, and people

02:28are just packing the streets and coming in here.

02:30It's about to rain, I have to say that, it's about to rain because, you know, there are

02:36so many dark clouds in the sky, and we are next to the mountains, but I have to say that

02:42even though just a little bit before there was a strong sunny day, but even though the

02:51people are still just coming out and keep doing what they do usually on a Saturday afternoon,

02:57which is coming out in family, in peace, to exercise, also some joggers around, but most

03:03of people come with their families to have ice cream, to find maybe some beauty garments,

03:09some articles they need, and to find some goods and buy them for their houses and for

03:15their daily life on the week.

03:17I have to say also that people are coming in here, as I was saying, with their family,

03:23but mostly with their little ones, okay, because we are in August and the next school year

03:29is close by, and in Savannah Grande people can find economic offers, you know, low prices

03:36and offers, so they are coming in here to buy the articles for the school, maybe, you

03:42know, the backpacks, maybe the shoes and everything, so they are coming in here with their little

03:47ones.

03:48And I have to say, this looks like a regular, normal day in Venezuela.

03:53There is some opinions regarding the affectations yesterday against the national power grid,

04:00and yeah, people are referring that it was hard because there are so many buildings around

04:05the boulevard that are maybe 12-story buildings, maybe 10, 8-story buildings, so it is hard,

04:14it is difficult just to go up and down by the stairs.

04:18Other businesses have frozen goods, frozen products, as I was saying, like, you know,

04:23ice cream, yogurts, there are street informal vendors who have ice shave drinks and frappe

04:32drinks and they were selling them and they were referring to me that yesterday it was

04:37a hard day to maintain the merchandise and the goods in good shape, you know, available,

04:44but moreover, today is a new day and after the total recovery, the 100% recovery of the

04:50electric service and 100% of its coverage, after an affectation of 80%, I want to stress

04:58that people are just assuming their day with normality, and also, I want to say something

05:04because it sounds like it was easy to restore the system, I have to explain that, because

05:11it was an affectation of 80% and in less than 24 hours, the government and the forces recovered

05:20the 100% of the service, so it was expedited, it was fast, it was also, you know, with accuracy,

05:29the repair of this system.

05:31So far, this is the information, today the authorities were also reporting that there

05:37is 100% of the service of the subway lines, as we were saying, and the president yesterday

05:42at night time addressed the people and he was saying that Venezuela is capable of facing

05:48this kind of attacks because of the contingency plans, because of the strategies, because

05:53also Venezuela has the experience and it could sound like a coin that flips, you know, because

06:00it was attacked back in 2019, on March of 2019, under the White Dolls self-proclaiming

06:07as the president of Venezuela, but truth is that after those five days to a week without

06:14electricity and under these power cuts, today Venezuela has the expertise to know how to

06:19sort, how to deal with this kind of problems, this kind of lacks, this kind of necessities.

06:27So vendors are out in the streets, the vendors of quesillo, which is one of the many popular

06:33desserts here in Caracas, which is flan in Spain and in Spanish and, you know, it's a

06:39combination of milk and egg and sugar and they are selling that with their refrigeration

06:46and also because they want to sort and deal with the heat day, they are selling, you can

06:52hear it, you can hear it, helados is ice cream, ice cream, they are selling ice cream too.

06:57So today it's just back to normal, back to regular and people are just having the bad

07:03memory of a day without electricity yesterday, but today they are doing what they are used

07:09to, to go out on a Saturday afternoon, to go with family, to come here, to buy what

07:14they need and to also have a walk around with their friends and their loved ones.

07:25Let's recall that the authorities and precisely the first vice president of the United Socialist

07:32Party of Venezuela, Diodato Cabello, acting as also the Minister of Interior, Justice

07:37and Peace, he was saying that justice is after the responsible to make them accountable.

07:43I think that is important data that we have to stress once and once again because there

07:49will be no impunity, people are asking for justice, whoever did this will be facing justice

07:55soon or after, but there will be surely an encounter with justice and making them accountable

08:02for what they did.

08:03And many vendors, many people were referring also that this kind of attacks are not against

08:08just the government and not against just Chavismo because when there is a power cut, when there

08:13is an affectation on the transportation means, on the transport services, there is always

08:20an affectation to all Venezuelans and not only Chavistas, not only the ones that are

08:26with government forces, they also affect people who are just with different political thinking

08:34and appreciation. So they were saying that Venezuela just want to work in peace, to have

08:41peace, to prosper, to have peace, to do their businesses, to sell whatever they want to,

08:47to buy whatever they want to, to be prosperous in economic terms and have peace, to just

08:54realize and to do their lives normally and as they used to do. So this is my report Luis,
