00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning. It's a mix
00:04of sunshine and showers today, some of these could turn out to be heavy. This
00:09morning brighter skies but a chilly start across northern, western and
00:13central parts of Scotland, even further south but notice showers either side and
00:17more clouds across eastern Scotland. Now for Northern Ireland a rash of showers
00:21through this morning extending across the North Channel to Irish Sea coast.
00:25Across England and Wales it's a mix of cloud and sunshine to start the day and
00:29a few showers lurking out there. So through this morning no one immune to
00:33those showers but they will be fairly scattered as we head through the day
00:36although we can't rule out some heavy downpours through the morning into the
00:40afternoon. So let's pick up on this breeze coming in across Northern Ireland
00:44making things rather cool, a keen wind here, elsewhere in land a lighter breeze,
00:49sunshine always across the north and the west, bright skies here, showery bursts
00:53of rain develop though across the southeast of Scotland and we'll see
00:57showers developing in situ across southern Scotland, northern England, Wales
01:00as well as the West Country. Further southeast yes you'll see your fair share
01:04of scattered showers as well and some of these could actually turn out to be
01:07heavy and they will be slow moving. Dry skies across central and northern areas
01:12of Scotland through the day, brightest weather across western Scotland and
01:16through the day we'll find that those showers will tend to ease across Northern
01:19Ireland but they will persist across central and southern parts of Scotland.
01:23Here are your temperatures, well with a northerly component to the wind holding
01:26around 15 or 16 across Scotland and Northern Ireland, further south Wales 17
01:31or 18, further southeast 21. So through Wednesday evening and overnight we'll
01:36find these showers will pep up and turn thundery across central and southern
01:40parts of England and Wales. There's a yellow warning for rain across the
01:43southeast of Scotland and East Anglia, we could see some really quite heavy
01:47downpours here into the early hours of Thursday morning. Notice along this
01:51east side more cloud as we head through the day and what that means we'll see
01:55some dull skies here but brighter weather further west. So what's
01:59happening is that these weather fronts will tend to become confined to more
02:02southern areas and then high pressure extends across northern and western
02:06parts making the weather rather settled here and it will turn warmer. The risk of
02:11thundery showers through Thursday across more southern parts and then with an
02:14onshore breeze along the eastern side that's where we will see more in the way
02:17of cloud but it is warming up. So on Thursday temperatures certainly up a
02:21notch on Wednesday, still some heavy showers in the mix across more southern
02:25areas through the afternoon and a mix of cloud across the rest of England and
02:28Wales with some sunshine. Brightest skies will be the northwest yet again and a
02:32fine day to come across many areas on Friday. It's feeling warm as well
02:37temperatures into the 20s even for western Scotland you'll see some fine
02:41weather with some sunshine. See you later.
