00:09:47I've never seen one like that in real life.
00:09:49They haven't been made in ages.
00:09:51They were made a few years ago, in the 70s.
00:09:53Wow.
00:09:55The same camera was used by Ansel Adams and Walker Evans.
00:09:57Wow, those are...
00:09:59Photographers.
00:10:01Sure, I knew it.
00:10:03Anyway, there's a film here and a suitable camera bag for it.
00:10:07That's really cool.
00:10:09Do you want to try it out? There's another picture in there.
00:10:11Oh yeah.
00:10:13Should I take a picture of you?

00:14:45She told my brother
00:14:47that she was praying for me.
00:14:49As if I had an illness or something.
00:14:51I'm sorry, Nett.
00:14:53Hey, but the good thing is
00:14:55soon we'll finally go to college.

00:15:17I don't know.
00:15:19It's in the middle of the week.

00:39:10I don't care, either!
00:39:11I don't care.
00:39:24Shit.
00:39:29No.
00:39:44What kind of shit is this?
00:39:47How are we connected to a photo?
00:39:49How is such a thing possible?
00:39:49I have no idea.
00:39:51What do you mean you have no idea?
00:39:52It is your camera!
00:39:54You think that's in the instructions, Devin?
00:39:56Let's see.
00:39:58No, no, no.
00:40:00No one touches her before we know what's going on.
00:40:02Okay.
00:40:03Excuse me.
00:40:04If you want, you can go to your girlfriend now.
00:40:06Yes.
00:40:07And miss, stay close.
00:40:09Someone will come and look at your head wound.
00:40:11Yes.
00:40:13Let's think of something, Bert.
00:40:15Clear that.
00:40:22Where does she come from?
00:40:24No idea. Tyler brought her yesterday from a flea market.
00:40:27Was she in the packaging or something?
00:40:29No, just the film and the bag.
00:40:31And where is the bag?
00:40:47Do you really want to do that?
00:40:49I mean, if you want, I can go too.
00:40:51No, you're in the picture too.
00:40:53You should stay here.
00:40:54How do you know it's safer here?
00:40:57Okay, listen.
00:40:58When the police come, it's better if you're not in there.
00:41:01Okay?
00:41:03Call me if anything happens, okay?
00:41:05I think it's something now.
00:41:09Hey.
00:41:10Even if you're not in the picture,
00:41:12please be careful.
00:41:21Okay.
00:41:51Okay.
00:42:17Oh, my God, Tyler.
00:42:21Oh, my God.
00:42:51Oh, my God.
00:43:21Oh, my God.
00:43:51Oh, my God.
00:44:03I got you. Come on.
00:44:07Come on, let's get out of here.
00:44:09Get in the car.
00:44:17Are you okay?
00:44:20Connor, there was something in there.
00:44:22What?
00:44:25I don't know.
00:44:28Why is it behind me?
00:44:31You're on it too.
00:44:33What?
00:44:35In the window pane.
00:44:39You're on it too.
00:44:49You're on it too.
00:45:00Hey.
00:45:04Your parents know.
00:45:06They're flying back tonight.
00:45:08What a day.
00:45:13I love you so much.
00:45:15I love you too.
00:45:19I'll get a nurse.
00:45:22See you in a minute.
00:45:24Okay.
00:45:49Hello?
00:45:55Hello?
00:46:14Connor?
00:46:16Mina.
00:46:18I'm in danger.
00:46:20Something attacked me in the antiquities store.
00:46:22It could be behind you.
00:46:24Stay together.
00:46:40Hello?
00:46:42Shit.
00:46:48Shit.
00:46:54Hello?
00:47:03Hello? What are you doing?
00:47:10I was at the nurse's. She's coming.
00:47:18She's coming.
00:47:48Shit.
00:48:05Okay.
00:48:19Leave me alone.
00:48:21That was you.
00:48:23She's not dead.
00:48:25Devil, stop it.
00:48:27It's not her fault.
00:48:29Oh no.
00:48:31Who owns the camera?
00:48:33Who took the picture?
00:48:36I'm sorry.
00:48:49I'm sorry.
00:48:57Are you okay?
00:49:01No.
00:49:06It was out of jealousy.
00:49:08He didn't mean it.
00:49:10He's right.
00:49:12He's right. It's my fault.
00:49:15It's always my fault.
00:49:19What do you mean?
00:49:29My dad...
00:49:36He was a reporter.
00:49:39He wrote for the city newspaper.
00:49:42Anyway,
00:49:44I was at a pajama party
00:49:46with a friend at midnight.
00:49:49He said he wanted to take a detour
00:49:51to show me something
00:49:53he worked on.
00:49:55But I just wanted to go to the party.
00:50:00I said I didn't want to see it.
00:50:05So,
00:50:07he turned around
00:50:09and...
00:50:13that's when the accident happened.
00:50:19It's my fault.
00:50:22It's always my fault.
00:50:24I'm so sorry.
00:50:26No, no. I'm sorry.
00:50:32I'm sorry.
00:50:34I'm sorry.
00:50:39If he were here now,
00:50:41he'd say it wasn't your fault.
00:50:46No.
00:50:50Someone would try to find out
00:50:52why it all happened.
00:51:04Let's go.
00:51:34October, 1974
00:51:42We need everything from October to December 1974.
00:51:57I've got it.
00:52:04October, 1974
00:52:21Oh, my God.
00:52:23In 1974, three teenagers were kidnapped
00:52:25and murdered in Locust Harbor.
00:52:27Roland Joseph Sable,
00:52:29the man who allegedly kidnapped
00:52:31and murdered three teenagers,
00:52:33was a photography instructor
00:52:37at Locust Harbor High.
00:52:42Roland Joseph Sable.
00:52:49RJS.
00:52:53That was his camera.
00:52:58And he used it.
00:53:03He photographed them.
00:53:07The suspect, Roland Joseph Sable,
00:53:09was shot and died
00:53:11before he could be arrested.
00:53:24That's bullshit.
00:53:26We shouldn't have to die
00:53:28just because of a stupid photo.
00:53:31Yeah, and why are you still alive
00:53:33and Mina isn't?
00:53:35I don't know, Devin.
00:53:37And now sit down again.
00:53:39We have to think.
00:53:41Okay, so...
00:53:43When it followed me,
00:53:45it came close to something hot
00:53:47and it looked so strangely blurred.
00:53:49It looked blurred?
00:53:51What do you mean by that?
00:53:53When you develop photos,
00:53:55you have to be careful,
00:53:57because heat and light
00:53:59may behave just like a photo.
00:54:01Maybe it only develops in the dark
00:54:03and that's why it's not here.
00:54:05We can't wait
00:54:07until this thing kills us all, okay?
00:54:09Each of us could be the next.
00:54:11Look at this, guys.
00:54:13Photos it spits on,
00:54:15cameras that catch ghosts.
00:54:17I mean, is that real?
00:54:19Yeah, but how can a shadow
00:54:21follow a photo?
00:54:23Cursed objects.
00:54:25Sometimes things absorb the energy
00:54:27Here, that's his house.
00:54:29Maybe someone named Sable still lives there.
00:54:31I'll check.
00:54:36It says here that the house
00:54:38has belonged to an Anne Faraday since 1977.
00:54:40Shit.
00:54:45We're wasting our time, okay?
00:54:47If we don't come up with something soon
00:54:49and the thing comes back...
00:54:51We don't even know how the thing works.
00:54:53Then we'll find out.
00:54:56Put the camera back.
00:54:58Don't touch me!
00:55:00Let me go!
00:55:25I didn't mean to.
00:55:30Guys?
00:55:32It's moving.
00:55:41It's changing the order.
00:55:46Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing?
00:55:48I won't be next.
00:55:50Devin, stop it. Put it down.
00:55:52It's your fault.
00:55:55It's not true, Devin.
00:55:57No, it's not. Put it down.
00:56:00Devin?
00:56:02Devin?
00:56:04Put it down.
00:56:08Shit.
00:56:25What did you do?
00:56:27Hey, hey, Devin.
00:56:29Calm down, Devin.
00:56:31Are you okay?
00:56:44Don't you understand? He's in danger.
00:56:46He's in danger of being charged with a crime.
00:56:48Come on, man. His girlfriend is dead.
00:56:50That's why he's so confused.
00:56:52But that's understandable.
00:56:59Thing in the camera?
00:57:14Okay, I know that was...
00:57:18I know that was hard for you.
00:57:20Avery's accident, Mina's suicide.
00:57:22It wasn't an accident. It wasn't a suicide.
00:57:24When we try to deal with such tragedies, we come up with stories.
00:57:28Modern legend.
00:57:30Yeah, but that's not a modern legend.
00:57:32This man was real. He lived in this city 40 years ago.
00:57:34And his name was Roland Joseph Sable.
00:57:36Now listen to me, please.
00:57:38Now he's back. We have his camera.
00:57:40And somehow it helps him continue his murders.
00:57:42Stop it, okay?
00:57:44Here, this is his house, okay? If we can go there...
00:57:46Now listen to me!
00:57:48Okay, if I find out that you're getting close to this house,
00:57:52your friend will get company in there.
00:57:59You can stay with him for a few minutes,
00:58:01but then you go home and stay out of it.
00:58:03That's a matter of the police.
00:58:06What a piece of shit.
00:58:08How's your hand?
00:58:10It hurts.
00:58:12What I said...
00:58:14I'm very sorry.
00:58:16I know it's not your fault with Mina.
00:58:18And if I'm next, you might have enough time...
00:58:21to end it.
00:58:39This is Casey.
00:58:43Please tell me you found an old neighbor or something.
00:58:45No, something much better.
00:58:47Really?
