00:00Good morning to all of us.

00:02The Typhoon Julian has become a super typhoon.

00:05At present, the Typhoon Julian is close to the power line,

00:10in the Batanes area.

00:12The distance of the center or eye of the Typhoon Julian

00:16is 205 kilometers west-southwest of Itbayat, Batanes.

00:21Now, the strength of the wind close to its center

00:24is up to 185 kilometers per hour

00:28while the wind speed is up to 230 kilometers per hour.

00:33The movement is slow in the direction west-northwestward.

00:40In the forecast track of the Typhoon Julian,

00:43we expect that today, the power line will come out

00:47but it will only be outside the Philippine Area Over Responsibility.

00:53It is expected to come in again when Wednesday comes.

00:58On Wednesday morning or afternoon,

01:01the center of the Typhoon Julian can landfall in Taiwan.

01:06And again, it will come out of the Philippine Area Over Responsibility

01:10on Thursday afternoon.

01:16The Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 2 is rising.

01:19The areas under Signal No. 2

01:22are in Batanes, Bambayan Islands,

01:25Ilocos Norte, northern portion of Ilocos Norte,

01:30and also in the northwestern portion of Melan, Cagayan.

01:36Signal No. 1 is also rising

01:39in 11 parts of Ilocos Norte,

01:42Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan,

01:45Apayao, Calinga, Abra, Mountain Province,

01:49Ifugao, Benguet.

01:53In the northern portion of Melan, Cagayan,

01:55Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya,

01:58northern portion of Aurora,

02:01and northern portion of Nueva Estilla.

02:08Now, we are still expecting strong winds

02:12in Ilocos Region, Cordillera,

02:16northern and eastern portion of Melan, Cagayan,

02:20and eastern portion of Isabela, Aurora,

02:23Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila,

02:26Calabarzon, Romblon, and Camarinas Norte.

02:30Tomorrow, Wednesday,

02:32we are still expecting strong winds

02:36in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur,

02:39Abra, Apayao, Batanes,

02:42Bambayan Islands, northern and eastern portion

02:46of Melan, Cagayan, and eastern portion of Isabela.

02:54Today, we are still expecting strong rains.

02:59Intense to torrential rains

03:03in Batanes, Bambayan Islands, and Ilocos Norte.

03:07Heavy to intense rains in Abra,

03:11Apayao, Benguet, and Ilocos Sur.

03:16Moderate to heavy rains in Melan, Cagayan,

03:20and eastern portion of Cordillera and Ilocos Region.

03:24Tomorrow, we are still expecting heavy to intense rains

03:29in Batanes and Bambayan Islands,

03:32while moderate to heavy rains in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.

03:38And because of this, we should still be careful

03:42because the risk of flooding or landslides is still there.

03:51Because of the effect of the typhoon,

03:53we are still expecting high waves

03:56in northern Luzon,

03:58where the high waves

04:00can reach up to 7 meters

04:04or almost 2 floors of the house.

04:07The places that are still under Gale Warning

04:11are Batanes, Cagayan,

04:13along with Bambayan Islands,

04:15Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur.

04:17And because of this,

04:19our countrymen are still not allowed

04:21to go to the mentioned places,

04:23especially those that use

04:25small sea vehicles.

04:30That is our update

04:32on how the Typhoon Julian is being monitored.
