00:00Hello, feeling particularly cold today with a keen north-westerly wind, and that north-westerly
00:06wind driving those showers in from the west, but those showers falling as snow across the
00:11north. So a cold front has cleared east overnight and that has reintroduced a cold north-westerly
00:18wind right the way across the country, so a cold weekend for everybody.
00:22So back to this afternoon, so it's an afternoon of sunshine and showers, those showers most
00:27frequent in the north and west, with some hail in places, but those showers also falling
00:32as snow across the high ground, anywhere above 300 metres across parts of Scotland and later
00:37northern England. A cold day with a keen north-westerly, even though those temperatures are in mid-single
00:43figures, with that keen wind, temperatures feeling closer to freezing for all.
00:48So this afternoon some areas of rain and cloud continue to move south and east across all
00:53areas, although overnight skies breaking a little bit from the west and across parts
00:59of Scotland, and with those clearer skies, temperatures tumbling and with a risk of ice
01:04developing by dawn, but a cold night right the way across the country.
01:10So further outbreaks of rain and cloud will continue to move south and east during the
01:16course of Sunday, though skies brightening up across the west, so Northern Ireland and
01:20Scotland and parts of the west enjoying a very pleasant Sunday.
01:24Another cold day right the way across the country, but temperatures still disappointing,
01:27with highs only of 6 or 7 in the south and 5 in the north.
01:32And look at the outlook, so cold at first on Monday, although turning particularly unsettled
01:37from Tuesday as an area of low pressure whips itself up in the Atlantic, spreading gales
01:41in from the west.
