00:00Hello there. Sunday will be largely dry across much of the UK. However, thicker cloud
00:04and bands of heavy rain will push across southern England and southern parts of Wales as well.
00:09The reason for this is low pressure is anchored to the south of the UK over the following few
00:14days. High pressure nearer to the north will keep it largely settled and warm with increasing
00:19amounts of sunshine over the coming days. Back to Saturday evening, we'll see bands of rain
00:24already pushing into southern parts of England. One or two heavier bursts are possible. Cloudier
00:28skies across the rest of England but a few clear spells across the northwest of England, Wales,
00:33Northern Ireland and Scotland. And here is where we'll see the coolest of the temperatures. Seven
00:38or eight degrees in the countryside. Towns and cities staying in double figures. Mild under the
00:42cloud and rain further south. 14 or 15 as alone. So mild but cloudy start to Sunday morning.
00:48Outbreaks of rain across southwest England pushing their way westwards through the morning. Some
00:54heavy bursts possible. Elsewhere generally quite dry with increasing amounts of sunshine across
00:59parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland into the afternoon. England generally staying on the
01:03cloudier side but there will be some bright or sunny spells at times. And then we continue to
01:08see heavy bands of rain pushing in across southwest England. Meteorologist warning comes into force for
01:13the afternoon. In the best of the sunshine temperatures up into the low 20s. 21 to 23
01:18Celsius. Feeling a little bit cooler around some coasts particularly in the southwest where there
01:22will be a bit of a breeze developing as well. And that heavy rain continues through Sunday evening
01:27overnight into Monday morning. Some hefty downpours possible. 60 to 80 millimetres as possible in one
01:33or two places. So perhaps leading to some flooding in places and some rumbles of thunder too. Further
01:38north particularly across Northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland it will be drier. And this is
01:42the theme for the next few days as well. The south staying fairly unsettled. The north much drier.
