00:00:00We started with 14 celebrities, and we're down to two, Trace and Piers.
00:00:19Ivanka, what do you think?
00:00:21I think you have a very tough job ahead of you.
00:00:23You have two extremely competent and effective guys who are totally different on a personality
00:00:29level.
00:00:30Trace is a great guy with great people skills, and Piers is aggressive but effective and
00:00:35great at raising money.
00:00:36It's tough.
00:00:37Both good.
00:00:38Both tough.
00:00:39What do you think, Don?
00:00:40Well, listen, it's definitely a difficult decision.
00:00:41I like them both.
00:00:42They both played the game very well.
00:00:43I think one thing I've learned from you is that you don't get anything you don't ask
00:00:46for, and Piers certainly wasn't afraid to ask for money.
00:00:48Trace, on the other hand, was the silent, stoic type, but when he opened his mouth,
00:00:52he said something with meaning, winning some tasks that you wouldn't have thought he would
00:00:55have had any place winning.
00:00:57Very good.
00:00:58I don't have any more suggestions, but I want to just ask, what do you think?
00:01:02What does everybody in the audience think?
00:01:04Live from New York City, this is the season finale of The Celebrity Apprentice.
00:01:13Now, here's the biggest celebrity of them all, Donald Trump.
00:01:33It's a big night for a big charity.
00:01:36Lots of money has been raised.
00:01:37It's been raised all over the place.
00:01:39We've gone over a million dollars, and that's a lot.
00:01:42But there's one thing I like.
00:01:49It's a good fight, and these two are fighters.
00:01:52They came out of the jungle.
00:01:53They are really tough cookies.
00:01:56Different kind of people, very different from each other, but they are tough.
00:02:01Take a look.
00:02:05Twelve weeks ago, 14 of the world's most successful celebrities descended on New York City, determined
00:02:11to make a difference.
00:02:13A former heavyweight champion of the world, a rock star, a tabloid journalist.
00:02:18There's no way anyone could win with your creative brain.
00:02:21A country star.
00:02:22Come on, boy.
00:02:23Actors and Olympic athletes.
00:02:26Each brought with them their own business background, all prepared to fight for a charity
00:02:31near and dear to their heart.
00:02:33I present this check to you.
00:02:35Oh, my God.
00:02:37Determined, they had to think outside the box.
00:02:40I am Mr. Outside the Box.
00:02:42I don't buy that visual.
00:02:43You don't buy that visual?
00:02:46Dig deep into their contacts.
00:02:47Bob Saget.
00:02:48Hey, how are you?
00:02:49Janet James, the lady that's never lied.
00:02:50I'll pay a thousand each.
00:02:52Richard Branson just called me.
00:02:53He's giving us $10,000.
00:02:55They pushed themselves harder than ever before.
00:02:57You want me in this with these two dudes?
00:03:00Get the f*** out of here, man.
00:03:03From the original 14, 12 have come and gone.
00:03:06Tiffany, you're fired.
00:03:08Nadia, you're fired.
00:03:09You're fired.
00:03:10You're fired.
00:03:11You're fired.
00:03:12You're fired.
00:03:13Now, only two remain.
00:03:15Former tabloid editor and notorious judge of America's Got Talent, Piers Morgan.
00:03:20Every competitive part of me is desperate to be declared celebrity apprentice.
00:03:24How you doing?
00:03:25It's good to see y'all.
00:03:27And country superstar, Trace Adkins.
00:03:29There's a little six-year-old girl in my house with severe food allergies, and that's why
00:03:34I'm here.
00:03:35Get out.
00:03:36Although they've earned their place as the game's final two, their styles couldn't have
00:03:39been more different.
00:03:40$4?
00:03:41You're not getting a hot dog for $4.
00:03:43Piers had an aggressive approach to raising money.
00:03:45$5,000.
00:03:46And winning tasks.
00:03:47The biggest beating in the history of The Apprentice.
00:03:51Meanwhile, Trace took the slow and steady path to success.
00:03:53The world's greatest romance deserves the world's best mattress.
00:03:58Leaving Mr. Trump to preside over the biggest international battle in Apprentice history.
00:04:03I love what I'm looking at.
00:04:05It's good versus evil.
00:04:07It's the UK against the United States.
00:04:10I've been waiting on this.
00:04:11Game on, big boy.
00:04:12I'm gonna kick your ass.
00:04:17Last week, Piers and Trace were given their final task.
00:04:21Here we go.
00:04:22You're going to be holding a really grand charity event.
00:04:26Come on out here, please.
00:04:28We've invited four really wonderful celebrities to come back.
00:04:32Piers and Trace chose teams.
00:04:34Trace, you get the first pick.
00:04:36Lennox Lewis.
00:04:37I'm gonna choose Stephen Baldwin.
00:04:39Trace then chose Marilu Henner, automatically putting Carol Ault on Piers' team.
00:04:45You'll be judged on three things.
00:04:47Tickets sold to the event, money raised during the auction, and how well you run your part
00:04:53of the event.
00:04:55Then it was down to business.
00:04:57If you're happy, I'll take the auction and the catering.
00:04:59You guys take the show.
00:05:00Right.
00:05:01I'm taking the Super Bowl thing.
00:05:03Okay, I'll take Ivanka Trump.
00:05:04We were given some auction items that we had to negotiate with the other team.
00:05:08You want Ivanka Trump?
00:05:09Yeah.
00:05:10Okay.
00:05:11May the best man win, and I will.
00:05:12In the war room, Piers revealed his plan of attack.
00:05:15I'm gonna focus primarily on getting great auction prizes and money.
00:05:19And made a gesture to his charity director that he hoped would pay off.
00:05:22Why don't we give 20 tickets to wounded veterans?
00:05:27I think it'd be really powerful to have your guys there as our invited guests.
00:05:30I'm aware by doing this, I'm giving up tickets I could have sold.
00:05:34Meanwhile, Trace had a strategy of his own.
00:05:37I'm reaching out to everybody that I have their phone number.
00:05:41We beat him with celebrities, we win.
00:05:45Piers went right to work getting auction items.
00:05:47I had to get creative prizes with uniqueness to them.
00:05:51I need your help.
00:05:52I can do tea.
00:05:53Tea with the Duchess.
00:05:54That is a slam dunk.
00:05:57While Trace encountered a problem with a Backstreet Boys list of demands.
00:06:01Some of the stuff on this rider is redundant.
00:06:03We'll leave it that way then.
00:06:04All right.
00:06:05Can I ask you, wheatgrass, is there any way you can get that?
00:06:08Excuse me?
00:06:09Wheatgrass.
00:06:10Wheatgrass?
00:06:11Yeah.
00:06:12Piers had to realize Stephen was falling short of his expectations.
00:06:16Hello.
00:06:17Hello.
00:06:18Hello.
00:06:19The thing about Stephen is in terms of fundraising and celebrity getting, he just unfortunately
00:06:25is fairly useless.
00:06:26If Trace turns up with a cartload of country music superstars, we might have a bit of a
00:06:31problem.
00:06:32Tonight, it's the final showdown.
00:06:34May the best man win and may our charities raise a lot of money.
00:06:39Two remain, but only one will claim the ultimate title of the Celebrity Apprentice.
00:07:09As you've just seen, it's been a phenomenal season, and tonight will be really, really
00:07:18special.
00:07:19We have a room full, just absolutely packed, with 14 wonderful killers.
00:07:25They're waiting backstage.
00:07:28Everybody wants to hear, including me, what they have to say.
00:07:35It's going to be very interesting.
00:07:37At the end of the night, I am going to choose the Celebrity Apprentice.
00:07:42Lots of money to a particular charity.
00:07:44So enjoy it.
00:07:45Coming up, Trace and Piers face their greatest challenges of the season, and later, Mr. Trump
00:07:54will announce the winner of Celebrity Apprentice live.
00:08:07This season, I gave the game a new twist by letting celebrities call on their very
00:08:17famous friends to help win tasks.
00:08:21Check it out.
00:08:25Hello?
00:08:37Sharon Osbourne, it's Piers Morgan here.
00:08:39Oh, hello.
00:08:40How are you doing, Piers?
00:08:42Well, I'm doing very well, but I need your help.
00:08:44The challenge, really, was to run a charity auction where all the money that I could raise
00:08:49from my items and Trace from his would go to our respective charities.
00:08:55So I was determined to offer stuff that you cannot buy in any store in the world.
00:09:01So it was time for my famous rich Brits to pile in.
00:09:04Andrew, it's Piers Morgan here.
00:09:06How are you?
00:09:07Good heavens.
00:09:08Where are you, Piers?
00:09:09I'm actually in New York.
00:09:10I'm doing a very big charity fundraising event tonight.
00:09:14And I'm after great, exotic, exciting auction prizes that I can use to raise a lot of money
00:09:20with.
00:09:21The funny thing is, I'm sitting in the middle of Abbey Road at the moment.
00:09:23You know, the great recording studios.
00:09:25Working on the Phantom sequel.
00:09:28We're trying out some tracks.
00:09:30I could offer a couple of tickets for the opening night.
00:09:33Wow.
00:09:34They will be the hottest musical tickets in the world.
00:09:37Thank you so much.
00:09:38I can't thank you enough.
00:09:39Thanks very much.
00:09:40Bye.
00:09:41Take care.
00:09:42Bye.
00:09:43Wow, that's great.
00:09:44Let's go, Steve.
00:09:46I was delighted that I was really getting some stuff in that was really unique.
00:09:53I was calling absolutely anyone I could think of who could either be a prize or bid for
00:09:59a prize.
00:10:00Oh, Howard, hi.
00:10:01It's Piers Morgan here.
00:10:02I don't think you would know me, but I'm calling you to wonder whether I could possibly persuade
00:10:06you to join in our charity fundraiser this evening.
00:10:09And the charity is the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
00:10:12I don't know if you're aware of that.
00:10:13I think in terms of money raising, I don't accept the charge that I just have this fabled
00:10:19Rolodex.
00:10:20I put a lot of work into getting the money.
00:10:23Howard, thank you so much.
00:10:24I cannot thank you enough.
00:10:25I'll see you later on.
00:10:26Thanks very much.
00:10:27Bye-bye.
00:10:28There's no question that the fundraising aspect of things that you, uh, you've got talent.
00:10:33You know what I mean, man?
00:10:35That actually hurt you, didn't it, to say that?
00:10:37No.
00:10:38I know I have occasionally got to you a bit, and it's never, I've never meant to be personally
00:10:43rude to you.
00:10:44Yeah.
00:10:45Yeah.
00:10:46And then?
00:10:47I'm sorry if I've offended you.
00:10:48Oh!
00:10:49Hallelujah!
00:10:50Hallelujah!
00:10:51Hallelujah!
00:10:52Despite all the, despite all your obvious flaws, you're not a bad guy.
00:11:02I've missed working with you, Bob.
00:11:04Right back at you, Piers.
00:11:08Hey, man.
00:11:09Hey, man.
00:11:10How's it, how's it going, Zito?

00:11:17make sure all their needs were met and that everything was good for them.

00:11:24They'll be okay with this?
00:11:25Yeah, totally.
00:11:26You've been working with these guys some?
00:11:27Yeah.
00:11:28So, they're going to give me a rough time if everything's not completely perfect.
00:11:29Well.

00:11:31because something that was on that writer's mind.

00:14:18Five.
00:14:19We've got five people coming.
00:14:23It's not great, is it?
00:14:28With three hours to go, I was getting a bit nervous about the tickets.
00:14:31We weren't selling enough.
00:14:33We didn't have enough celebrities.
00:14:34It was all getting a bit tense, to be honest.
00:14:36I was panicking.
00:14:38You know, I've got to have some numbers here.
00:14:41Otherwise, it's not going to be the show and I thought it was.
00:15:01Okay, man. Well, I look forward to seeing you then and thank you.
00:15:05Thank you. Bye.
00:15:08My country music stars are on the ground.
00:15:12We're on our way, Trace. We got your back, brother.
00:15:21Coming up, Pierce vowed he'd never see Omarosa again, but here she comes.
00:15:26And later, Mr. Trump chooses the Celebrity Apprentice live.
00:15:30Welcome back. This is the live season finale of the Celebrity Apprentice.
00:15:45Remaining cool under pressure is vital in business and in life.
00:15:50I want to see how these two guys react under pressure.
00:15:55You're never going to make it if you can't take the pressure.
00:15:59Let's take it out. Check.
00:16:14If people come in and there's a bar here and then the things are set up.
00:16:18Oh, you want to put it right here?
00:16:19Here, yeah.
00:16:23Like this?
00:16:24What is this stuff? Where's this stuff going to be?
00:16:30It's going to take two hours.
00:16:31To deliver the food?
00:16:32No, the flowers.
00:16:34No, that's great.
00:16:37I cannot deal with it. We either have it or we don't. I can't deal with that now.
00:16:41I just need you to make a decision. I'm going to arrive.
00:16:43You know, you've got to turn in your list of guests.
00:16:46I know that.
00:16:48It was mayhem. General chaos. I was exasperated. I was worried.
00:16:54You going to talk to me or what?
00:16:56Don't take that tone with me, dude.
00:16:58The pressure of this day was time and the lack of it.
00:17:14Did we surprise you?
00:17:18Are you surprised?
00:17:20I think he's surprised for once he's speechless.
00:17:33They were my little girls, you know, and my wife.
00:17:38Just shut the whole world down for a minute. Everything else was meaningless.
00:17:46Reminded me why I'm doing this for that six-year-old.
00:17:50She's the only reason that I'm trying to win this thing.
00:17:53Hey, girls, your daddy needed that hug.
00:17:56Yeah.
00:17:57He's been waiting a long time for that one.
00:18:00We've been under a lot of stress.
00:18:02Oh, I know.
00:18:03Just to see them make me feel better, you know.
00:18:06It felt good. I needed it.
00:18:08I needed it.
00:18:12Will you tell Daddy?
00:18:13We'll see you in a little while.
00:18:15Okay.
00:18:16Bye.
00:18:17See you later.
00:18:18Bye, Daddy.
00:18:19Bye.
00:18:28So, food is starting to cook.
00:18:30Okay. So we'll probably move our staff meeting up earlier then.
00:18:34Okay. Thank you.
00:18:35You're welcome.
00:18:36My business was logistics and catering.
00:18:39I think the food came out really nicely,
00:18:41so I thought, let's just bring it out and make sure they eat.
00:18:44But everything that Piers did had a strategy or a thought-out plan to it.
00:18:48So, we're going to start with the pizza.
00:18:50Okay.
00:18:51So, we're going to start with the pizza.
00:18:53Okay.
00:18:54So, what Piers did had a strategy or a thought-out plan to it.
00:18:58Excuse me.
00:18:59Sorry.
00:19:00I don't know how you normally do these. I'm Piers, by the way.
00:19:02Hi, Piers.
00:19:03How are you?
00:19:04Hello, everyone.
00:19:05Hello.
00:19:06The general strategy tonight is to get them as loaded as fast as possible.
00:19:08All right?
00:19:09We want a bunch of drunken, wealthy celebrities
00:19:11spending ludicrous sums of money.
00:19:13In terms of the food, less is more, yeah?
00:19:15Because if they eat too much, it'll just land in the stomach.
00:19:17Does that make myself clear?
00:19:19Yes.
00:19:20My simple strategy is get them drunk as fast as possible
00:19:23because a drunk, rich person or celebrity
00:19:25tends to put their arm up for all sorts of stuff
00:19:27they don't really want for money
00:19:29that they never thought they'd part with in a million years.
00:19:31Loaded celebrities equals lots of money.
00:19:34Loaded celebrities means lots of money.
00:19:37Thank you very much.
00:19:38All right.
00:19:47Please be careful, Mr. Carter.
00:19:48We don't want you to trip, fall, and embarrass your ass.
00:19:50You too, since you like to fall and trip all the time on this show.
00:19:54Fellas, fellas, what's up?
00:19:55Nice to see you, man.
00:19:56What's up, man?
00:19:57What's up, what's up, what's up, what's up?
00:19:58What's up?
00:19:59Good, man.
00:20:00You guys good?
00:20:11Hey, I have something else.
00:20:12I need a knee brace for Howie.
00:20:16Who should I send out?
00:20:18A knee brace?
00:20:19Yeah.
00:20:21Protective knee brace.
00:20:22He hurt his knee.
00:20:25One of the BSB, if you know them like I do, they're BSB.
00:20:29One of them has twisted his little knee.
00:20:32So now I've got to go get medical supplies.
00:20:37Would you possibly know anywhere I might be able to get some wheatgrass juice?
00:20:44And I'm still trying to find wheatgrass juice.
00:20:51Have you ever heard of freshest amount of wheatgrass?
00:20:54Do they make it themselves?
00:20:55No, I don't think so.
00:20:58Looking at the rider for the Backstreet Boys gave me new appreciation for myself.
00:21:07I've done shows with a broken leg, with kidney stones.
00:21:12I did a show where my stomach was hurting so bad one night that I couldn't hardly move.
00:21:18I walked out on that stage and did my show, left the stage, went to the emergency room,
00:21:23and had 18 inches of my colon cut out that night.
00:21:27And this kid can't do a show because he doesn't have his wheatgrass juice,
00:21:32and one of them twisted his knee.
00:21:34God, don't get me started on the BSB.
00:21:42Backstreet Boys open on the final task.
00:21:47Who will prevail and win the title of the Celebrity Apprentice?
00:22:05Piers and Trace are being judged on these criteria.
00:22:09Ticket sales, auction sales, and overall, let's just see how they do.
00:22:20So, may the best man win, and may our charities raise a lot of money.
00:22:25Congratulations for being here tonight, brother.
00:22:28If I'm going to lose to anyone, it may as well be a guy like you.
00:22:31I'll be damned.
00:22:32However, I'm going to bust your ass.
00:22:34All right, you try it.
00:22:36We've been working on our relative responsibilities for the event.
00:22:40We were responsible for the auction, the catering.
00:22:42They were responsible for the decor and the band and everything else.
00:22:45But collectively, we had to throw a party.
00:22:56Hi, ladies. Piers Morgan. How are you?
00:22:58Good to see you. Hello.
00:23:00I'm actually one of the people trying to win this tonight.
00:23:03Mr. Sam. Good to see you.
00:23:05I was so happy to see some of my homies show up.
00:23:08Dean Sam's from Lonestar.
00:23:10My old buddy from Montgomery Gentry, Eddie Montgomery, showed up.
00:23:14My brother.
00:23:15You making anybody mad?
00:23:17My head.
00:23:19I had to have another hat in this room.
00:23:21I have a hat. I have a hat. I didn't bring it tonight.
00:23:24How many number one records you had, Ronnie?
00:23:26I had 40.
00:23:2740? So far.
00:23:28So far? That's what I like to hear.
00:23:31Ronnie Millsap. Legendary Ronnie Millsap.
00:23:34You know how many people in the world can say they have had 40 number one records?
00:23:40Very, very few.
00:23:42Since we're Opry brothers, here's a check for $5,000 from the Grand Ole Opry.
00:23:47I want to present to you.
00:23:49From the Grand Ole Opry.
00:23:50$10,000 to help out the cause.
00:23:53Thank you for delivering that.
00:23:55This is actually a cash donation for $5,000.
00:23:59Thank you, sir.
00:24:00People came from all over the place to bring money and show support.
00:24:05You know, it makes my heart swell up.
00:24:13Hello there. I'm Piers.
00:24:15You're here to help me tonight, and I'm here to help you.
00:24:18I wanted you guys here because, obviously, I have chosen your Intrepid Fallen Heroes charity.
00:24:23So I'd like you to be somewhere, I don't know, somewhere on a table.
00:24:28I wanted to get some of the servicemen down there who are supported by the Intrepid Fallen Heroes fund.
00:24:34And I thought that would focus people, and it might encourage them to bid higher sums of money.
00:24:48How are you? How are you?
00:24:49Good to see you.
00:24:51Nice to see you.
00:24:52So nice to meet you.
00:24:53Beautiful people.
00:24:54It's great, huh?
00:24:56Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
00:24:58My name is Lydia Panette.
00:24:59I'm here from Chrissy's Auction House this evening to conduct this fabulous auction.
00:25:03We're going to start this evening with lot number one.
00:25:06It's the Opus.
00:25:07Basically, a tribute to the first 40 Super Bowls,
00:25:10which includes a page signed by every living MVP from the first 40 Super Bowls.
00:25:15Who's going to start my bidding this evening?
00:25:17We'll start with $15,000.
00:25:20$15,000.
00:25:22You have $16,000 in the room.
00:25:24$16,000 in the back of the bar.
00:25:27$17,000?
00:25:28$17,000 is bid.
00:25:30We're at $18,000 in the back of the room.
00:25:32And you can sold to the gentleman by the bar.
00:25:35May I see you get the calendar?
00:25:40All right, ladies and gentlemen, lot number two.
00:25:42It's a once-in-a-lifetime chance for you and a guest
00:25:45to enjoy an extraordinary private royalty with Sarah, Duchess of York.
00:25:50I'll start the bidding for this rare opportunity at just $5,000.
00:25:54So I have $5,000.
00:25:55$5,000 is bid on my left.
00:25:57I have $7,000 in the room.
00:25:58$7,000 is bid.
00:25:59Let's change it up to $15,000.
00:26:01Who will give me $15,000 next?
00:26:03How about $100,000?
00:26:05All right, that's the game we're playing.
00:26:07I'll take a bid for $100,000 in the front row.
00:26:10$100,000, sir.
00:26:12Thank you very much.
00:26:14Fantastic.
00:26:15Congratulations, sir.
00:26:17Thank you very much.
00:26:18Much appreciated.
00:26:19Howard Lutnick is the boss of Canter Fitzgerald,
00:26:21a major financial company.
00:26:23They became world-renowned, really, for the wrong reasons,
00:26:27when on 9-11, all four floors of their offices went down.
00:26:32I think nearly 700 people, or maybe more, died from Canter Fitzgerald,
00:26:36all his staff, including his brother.
00:26:38And his determination to fight back, to keep his company going,
00:26:42to re-employ his staff, was incredibly inspiring.
00:26:46All right, ladies and gentlemen,
00:26:47moving along to lot number three,
00:26:49a dinner with Trace Adkins.
00:26:52So we'll start our bidding at $5,000, right?
00:26:55$5,000 to the room.
00:26:56$5,000 to spend in the back of the room.
00:26:58$5,000.
00:27:00$6,000 to spend by Ivanka.
00:27:03She loves Trace Adkins.
00:27:05All right, we're at $6,000 with Ivanka in the back of the room.
00:27:08Any advance going once, going twice,
00:27:13sold for $6,000 to Ivanka in the back of the room.
00:27:17You know who bought dinner with me?
00:27:20Ivanka Trump.
00:27:22Did she really?
00:27:23Sorry, honey, I may not come home.
00:27:29Lot number four, a night with the Osbournes,
00:27:32with Sharon and Ozzy.
00:27:34Plus, if somebody gives over $50,000,
00:27:38Ozzy will fly his entire band to play anywhere in the country.
00:27:44So let's start the bidding this evening at $50,000.
00:27:47Do I have $50,000 in the room?
00:27:50All right, looks like he's going to be bidding at $50,000 on my right.
00:27:54We're at $50,000.
00:27:55Do I have $60,000?
00:27:57I'll bid $100,000.
00:27:59$100,000 to the amazing man in the front row,
00:28:03who seems to be the biggest supporter of everything in the world.
00:28:06Congratulations.
00:28:10Pierce is doing pretty well.
00:28:13I knew that at some point in the auction
00:28:15that some heavy hitters were going to show up for Pierce
00:28:17with some big money.
00:28:18I knew that.
00:28:19I knew that.
00:28:20I don't know those kind of people.
00:28:21I don't know people with that kind of money.
00:28:23So, you know, hey, you know,
00:28:26I'm raising some money, too, for my charity,
00:28:28and that's what this is all about.
00:28:36Coming up, Simon Cowell bids big for Pierce,
00:28:39and who will Mr. Trump choose as the Celebrity Apprentice?
00:28:49Welcome back.
00:28:50This is the live season finale of The Celebrity Apprentice.
00:29:02All right, ladies and gentlemen, lot number five,
00:29:04original taxi memorabilia.
00:29:06Lot number seven, lot number nine,
00:29:08lot number 11, the original signed Fan of the Opera magazine.
00:29:11A date with the Backstreet Boys.
00:29:13$5,000 in the front row.
00:29:15$10,000.
00:29:16$25,000 is bid.
00:29:18$50,000 on my right.
00:29:20$80,000 from the gentleman in the back.
00:29:22Sold, sold, sold to you.
00:29:23Battle 128 for $5,000.
00:29:26Okay, ladies and gentlemen,
00:29:27there's one last slot this evening.
00:29:30Shopping with Ivanka Trump.
00:29:32She officially cannot come on stage.
00:29:34She's way too attractive.
00:29:35All right.
00:29:36We have a $10,000 bid among this.
00:29:38Not only will you get to meet Ivanka
00:29:41at her flagship Madison Avenue boutique,
00:29:43she will take you on a $10,000 shopping spree,
00:29:47and she only uses the best diamonds in the world.
00:29:50We'll start with you, sir.
00:29:51You raise it quickly.
00:29:52$20,000?
00:29:53$20,000 is bid.
00:29:55I'll take a bid of $30,000 next.
00:29:56Do I have $30,000 in the room?
00:29:58Or $20,000?
00:29:59This man has the biggest smile on his face
00:30:01I've ever seen in my life.
00:30:04$20,000.
00:30:06I think we have a bidder coming in from London, actually.
00:30:09You may recognize the voice.
00:30:11Hello, Piers.
00:30:13Is that Simon Cowell?
00:30:14It's Simon Cowell.
00:30:15How are you, Piers?
00:30:16Can we give Simon Cowell a big boo, everybody?
00:30:19Boo!
00:30:21Is anyone there?
00:30:23You'll be pleased to know
00:30:24I'm going down very badly in America.
00:30:26Excellent.
00:30:29Now, Simon, you are British.
00:30:31I am British.
00:30:32I'm up against a 6'7'' cowboy
00:30:34and about every other person in this room.
00:30:36So I'm up against it here.
00:30:37I need you to deliver a win for Britain, Simon.
00:30:40Okay, can I just make this clear
00:30:42that I'm not doing this for you?
00:30:43I'm doing it for the charity.
00:30:45Okay, you're doing it for the charity.
00:30:46Well, Simon, we've had a bid of $20,000
00:30:48from, I have to say, an American member of the audience,
00:30:51and I think you should give him a little run for his money.
00:30:54What if we went to $50,000?
00:30:55So you've got Simon Cowell bidding against you.
00:30:58I think he's saying, Simon, $60,000.
00:31:01Okay, well, what if we went to $75,000?
00:31:05$75,000, he's looking a little bit twitchy to me.
00:31:08Oh, hang on.
00:31:09His hand is up.
00:31:10He's gone to $85,000, Simon.
00:31:13$100,000, please.
00:31:15$100,000, everybody, from Simon Cowell.
00:31:19How much?
00:31:21$100,000.
00:31:23What the?
00:31:25I can't believe that.
00:31:26I don't feel like I've really got equal billing
00:31:29during the auction because, you know,
00:31:30Pierce did his whole phone thing with Simon.
00:31:33I just found it a little distasteful myself.
00:31:37Round of applause for Simon Cowell, everyone.
00:31:40Thanks, Simon, I appreciate it.
00:31:43In terms of fundraising,
00:31:44I'm not just better than everybody else.
00:31:46I'm ten times better.
00:31:47That's not a boast, it's a fact.
00:31:49If these people want to take me on, that's fine.
00:31:51Let's get it on.
00:31:52But you better make sure you can deliver
00:31:54because if not, I will crush you.
00:31:56Good job.
00:31:58Good job.
00:31:59Good job.
00:32:01I think I did okay.
00:32:02I don't have any idea how much.
00:32:03When we started this thing, I said,
00:32:05look, Pierce is gonna beat us on the money.
00:32:07So if I was gonna win this thing,
00:32:09I had to beat him on ticket sales
00:32:11and my half of the event.
00:32:13I've tried to take care of him today.
00:32:15All right.
00:32:16Did you get his wheatgrass that he requested?
00:32:18I didn't get the wheatgrass,
00:32:19but I got the nail polish and the knee brace.
00:32:22I didn't get the wheatgrass juice.
00:32:24I simply didn't have time to do that.
00:32:26I gotta go introduce the van,
00:32:28but I think the Backstreet Boys were happy,
00:32:31so everything else was handled.
00:32:33These guys asked me if I would introduce them.
00:32:36I'm honored to do it.
00:32:38They've got a hot new album out called Unbreakable,
00:32:41and they are happy to be here tonight
00:32:44to help these two good causes.
00:32:47So without further ado,
00:32:49it's my pleasure to introduce to you
00:32:51the Backstreet Boys.
00:32:54I can't imagine it any other way
00:33:00World without you is only wasted space
00:33:05Come on and I'm always wondering
00:33:08Why it can't be any other way
00:33:14Once the band started and did their thing,
00:33:17I was like the weight of the world
00:33:19had been lifted off my shoulders.
00:33:21Everything was perfect.
00:33:26Man, they sounded good.
00:33:28They sounded really good.
00:33:30They didn't need any wheatgrass juice at all.
00:33:33Baby, I want to waste another day
00:33:37Man, they did a good job.
00:33:39Just kill me because I don't want to come back
00:33:43Once the band started and did their thing
00:33:46I'm very proud of my performance,
00:33:48the team's performance, and Trace and his team.
00:33:50You know, we're all tired.
00:33:52We're all stressed out.
00:33:54We've all reached the end, really, with this process.
00:33:57However, I'll have nothing but fond memories of them,
00:34:00and I think I've made some friends for life.
00:34:12Toward the end of the night,
00:34:14all six of us just stood there for a moment.
00:34:16I thought, man, this is a cool moment right here.
00:34:19You know, we have been through a lot together, you know.
00:34:22It was about all of us working together
00:34:25to make this thing happen.
00:34:29That picture spoke a thousand words.
00:34:35Thank you, guys. God bless you all for coming out tonight.
00:34:43Coming up, Trace and Piers go head-to-head
00:34:47in their final boardroom.
00:34:49Who will be named the Celebrity Apprentice?
00:34:59I'm pleased to announce that Howard Lutnick
00:35:01and the other partners of Cantor Fitzgerald
00:35:04will be matching your text donation tonight
00:35:07in an amount worth up to $250,000.
00:35:10That's terrific.
00:35:13That will be split
00:35:15between both Piers and Trace's wonderful charities.
00:35:19Now, say hello to two special friends of mine and the show,
00:35:24Erin Burnett and Jim Cramer.
00:35:26Two terrific people.
00:35:35And she's beautiful, and to me, he's handsome, right?
00:35:40The boardroom has always been my favorite part of the show,
00:35:43and a lot of other people agree with me,
00:35:45because that's where the action is.
00:35:48Take a look.
00:35:50Take a look.
00:36:20Take a look.
00:36:39Lennox, you've been my friend for a long time, is that right?
00:36:42Yes, it is. I want an honest answer.
00:36:44You know both players very well, Piers and Trace.
00:36:47Who's better?
00:36:49Well, their styles are different, you know.
00:36:52Trace's style is more laid-back and allows you to do your work.
00:36:57Piers' style is in your face and he gets you going.
00:37:00What style do you like better?
00:37:05I like Trace's style,
00:37:07because he makes you feel that you want to work.
00:37:10He switched Piers, didn't he? He did a little flop.
00:37:13We know why he likes the laid-back approach from a project manager.
00:37:16Why?
00:37:18Well, he's a little laid-back, except when it counts.
00:37:20Well, you fired him because he was laid-back.
00:37:22Well, but you know what? He's laid-back,
00:37:24but when it counted, he was never laid-back, and that's over years.
00:37:27I'm not talking over the last 14 weeks.
00:37:29The truth about Danny tonight is that I think I probably made a friend for life with him.
00:37:33Absolutely.
00:37:35He's a great guy. He's a great guy with a great heart, and we had a lot of fun.
00:37:38And also, he's one of the few people who understood my sense of humor, which helped.
00:37:42It's true.
00:37:44Let me ask you this. Why did you pick Stephen to be on your team?
00:37:47I was a little surprised.
00:37:49I always actually worked very well with him. We may have had our flare-ups,
00:37:52but actually as a team, we won almost every challenge we did together.
00:37:54You did have your flare-ups to the point, though,
00:37:56where Stephen had asked specifically not to work with you.
00:37:59So it was risky, because Stephen could have ultimately worked against you.
00:38:03Sure.
00:38:05I was totally surprised by it.
00:38:07Okay, listen. I thought the event was fantastic.
00:38:10Tell me about the Backstreet Boys. I heard they were very, very difficult.
00:38:14Tell me. Trace.
00:38:16I looked at them, and they all seemed nice young men.
00:38:19And we sat down and had a cup of coffee together.
00:38:22And the first thing that I wanted to assure them was,
00:38:25I've been doing this for a long time.
00:38:27I know how to do this stuff, and I'll make this stuff happen.
00:38:30But why were they so difficult? I heard they were like in a hospital.
00:38:32Well, they're a writer. You know, they're a writer.
00:38:34The stuff that they wanted in their dressing room.
00:38:36At first, I read over it. What did they want?
00:38:38It was just all kind of strange stuff.
00:38:41Particular kinds of water, certain kinds of peanut butter in the sandwiches
00:38:45and how the sandwiches had to be made.
00:38:47Carol, is that right? Were you dealing with them?
00:38:49I didn't see the writer, but Trace came to me at one point in the evening.
00:38:52He said, where do I get wheatgrass juice?
00:38:54How about the black nail polish?
00:38:56That was a classic for me.
00:38:58Who bought the nail polish?
00:39:00I did.
00:39:02Lennox carried it back to him, though, and I thought,
00:39:04here, Lennox, you carry this nail polish.
00:39:06I want the heavyweight champion of the world to hand this kid nail polish.
00:39:11The nightmare scenario for me was that I was going to end up at 8.30 in the evening
00:39:16with a band that was not going to go on stage.
00:39:18That was the nightmare scenario for me,
00:39:20and I was starting to get signs and signals from these guys that that very well may happen.
00:39:25Actually, by the time they got out on stage, they were really sweet,
00:39:28and we had a very good time because, you know,
00:39:30I think in the beginning they were a little wound up.
00:39:32They did great. They sounded good, and their performance was energetic.
00:39:35It was good. It was great.
00:39:37As a fellow musician, were you a little bit offended?
00:39:39In some way, I think if Pierce had been in charge of them,
00:39:42it would have been more acceptable to me if they had asked him,
00:39:44you're not a musician, you don't do...
00:39:46But someone in their own field, I would be embarrassed if I were them.
00:39:50Did you know about this, Pierce? Did you know that happened?
00:39:52No, but if I had had a request for nail polish...
00:39:54I think you would have been good for that.
00:39:55What would you have done with the Backstreet Boys?
00:39:57I would have given them hell. I said, you can stick your nail polish...
00:40:00The problem is they wouldn't have shown up.
00:40:01Yes, they would.
00:40:02I don't know.
00:40:03They wouldn't show up.
00:40:04You know what? He may be right.
00:40:05Of course they would have shown up.
00:40:06He may be right.
00:40:0720 million views?
00:40:08Yes, and it doesn't work.
00:40:09Sometimes you be a little tough and you get more.
00:40:12So you may be right.
00:40:14Could I have pulled the veteran chops on them and started smacking them around?
00:40:19Yeah, I could have beat up the whole band by myself.
00:40:22But I was responsible to put a happy band on stage that night.
00:40:26I just don't go in for blowing smoke up people's backsides.
00:40:31Carol, who did a better job, Trace or Pierce?
00:40:34Which team was better?
00:40:36Ultimately, part of the task was raising money, and Pierce did that very, very well.
00:40:41It's true. Overall, raised from the auction items, Pierce raised $376,000,
00:40:48compared to Trace's $64,000.
00:40:51Now, I don't know what they raised for ticket sales.
00:40:54I can tell you what they raised for ticket sales,
00:40:56and Trace did a far better job in raising money through the ticket sales,
00:41:01$38,000 versus $12,000.
00:41:05So Pierce won on auction items, and Trace won on ticket sales.
00:41:09So if you look at it as those are the two components that you're working from.
00:41:13Obviously, there's the overall.
00:41:15Let Carol, let Carol.
00:41:17Pierce made a decision to bring people from the Intrepid Foundation, the soldiers.
00:41:22I thought that was lovely, by the way, and I think people really responded well to that.
00:41:25We took a decision to allocate $20 million.
00:41:27Whose idea was that?
00:41:28It was mine.
00:41:29We gave away half our tickets quite deliberately, knowing we were then foregoing sales.
00:41:34I wanted those people from the charity in the room,
00:41:37and I think everyone who was there found it very moving.
00:41:39I did that in the knowledge that on the auction, I was raising a huge, huge amount of money.
00:41:44And getting my man, Simon.
00:41:45You know, I love Simon, Carol.
00:41:46He's a great guy.
00:41:47You didn't know we were friends, but getting Simon.
00:41:49No, I knew you were friends.
00:41:50He talks very highly of you.
00:41:51He's a fantastic guy.
00:41:52He bid $100,000.
00:41:53And he knew it was a great charity, and for Simon, it's not a lot of money,
00:41:56and he did it, but that was a very generous contribution.
00:42:00And worth it.
00:42:01I mean, the comparison between ticket sales does make me laugh, to be honest,
00:42:04because if you look at the overall figure, I raised nearly $400,000.
00:42:09No one's questioning that.
00:42:10I think what we're saying is you were also given multiple criteria on which you were going to be evaluated.
00:42:14But he did raise a lot more money in terms of the charity, so that's a pretty big thing.
00:42:18I didn't just beat the other side.
00:42:20I pulverized them on charity donations.
00:42:22Now, I know that's only one part of the challenge,
00:42:24but it was a deliberate combined strategy in my head about what we're raising here.
00:42:28I understand that.
00:42:29I'd like to say something, though.
00:42:31It hurt my people as much, if not more, to spend five or six or seven grand
00:42:36than some guy who's a billionaire pledging $100,000 for him to make that seem like it's less relevant.
00:42:43I don't follow that argument.
00:42:44What is irrelevant?
00:42:45I know you wouldn't.
00:42:46I know you wouldn't.
00:42:47I wasn't criticizing your donors in any shape or form, and I resent that very highly.
00:42:51Well, that's all I'm saying is I was beginning to resent the way that you were referring to the people that I had.
00:42:56I haven't referred to your people at all.
00:42:57Yes, you did.
00:42:58Okay, whatever.
00:42:59When did I refer to your people?
00:43:00All right, all right, all right.
00:43:01Well, I would like you to take it back.
00:43:02Take what back?
00:43:03The inference that I was somehow belittling your donors.
00:43:22at no stage have I said anything of the sort.
00:43:23I know I'm the evil guy in all this.
00:43:24I'm sure you thought it.
00:43:25I'm sure you thought it.
00:43:26I happen to have some decent streets in me.
00:43:27But that's him.
00:43:28That's him.
00:43:29That's him.
00:43:30That's him.
00:43:31That's him.
00:43:32That's him.
00:43:33That's him.
00:43:34That's him.
00:43:35That's him.
00:43:36That's him.
00:43:37That's him.
00:43:38That's him.
00:43:39That's him.
00:43:40That's him.
00:43:41That's him.
00:43:42That's him.
00:43:43That's him.
00:43:44That's him.
00:43:45That's him.
00:43:46That's him.
00:43:47That's him.
00:43:48That's him.
00:43:49That's him.
00:43:50That's him.
00:43:51That's him.
00:43:52That's him.
00:43:53That's him.
00:43:54That's him.
00:43:55That's him.
00:43:56That's him.
00:43:57That's him.
00:43:58That's him.
00:43:59That's him.
00:44:00That's him.
00:44:01That's him.
00:44:02That's him.
00:44:03That's him.
00:44:04That's him.
00:44:05That's him.
00:44:06That's him.
00:44:07That's him.
00:44:08That's him.
00:44:09That's him.
00:44:10That's him.
00:44:11That's him.
00:44:12That's him.
00:44:13That's him.
00:44:14That's him.
00:44:15That's him.
00:44:16That's him.
00:44:17That's him.
00:44:18That's him.
00:44:19That's him.
00:44:20That's him.
00:44:21That's him.
00:44:22That's him.
00:44:23That's him.
00:44:24That's him.
00:44:25That's him.
00:44:26That's him.
00:44:27That's him.
00:44:28That's him.
00:44:29That's him.
00:44:30That's him.
00:44:31That's him.
00:44:32That's him.
00:44:33That's him.
00:44:34That's him.
00:44:35That's him.
00:44:36That's him.

00:45:00That's him.
00:45:01That's him.
00:45:02That's him.

00:46:27That's him.
00:46:28That's him.
00:46:29That's him.
00:46:30That's him.
00:46:31That's him.
00:46:32That's him.
00:46:33That's him.

00:47:01That's him.
00:47:02That's him.
00:47:03That's him.
00:47:04That's him.
00:47:05That's him.

00:47:14That's him.
00:47:15That's him.
00:47:16That's him.
00:47:17That's him.
00:47:18That's him.

01:01:29go kiken kage desu ka,
01:01:30watashi wa Gene Simmons
01:01:31hayo gozaimasu.
01:01:32Okay, Gene,
01:01:33good guy,
01:01:34very nice.
01:01:35Gene,
01:01:36Gene,
01:01:37would you finally admit
01:01:38that you were wrong
01:01:39with respect to Kodak
01:01:40because, frankly,
01:01:41I heard they doubled
01:01:42their sales
01:01:43with their idea.
01:01:44What do you think, Gene?
01:01:45You're saying
01:01:46Inc. at half the price
01:01:47doubled their sales,
01:01:48very short-sighted.
01:01:49I love Kodak.
01:01:50My family uses
01:01:51Kodak products.
01:01:52It is a quality product.
01:01:54A big mistake,
01:01:55very short-sighted
01:01:56on their part
01:01:57to think of the short haul.
01:01:58Everything's becoming digital.
01:01:59It's a Kodak world.
01:02:01I stand by it then,
01:02:02I stand by every word
01:02:03I said now.
01:02:04That's the correct branding.
01:02:05I am not surprised
01:02:06to hear, Gene,
01:02:07that you stand by it,
01:02:08but we have the Kodak
01:02:09executive here,
01:02:10Jeff Hazlett.
01:02:11What do you think, Jeff?
01:02:12Hey, I love, Gene.
01:02:13I love your passion.
01:02:14I love everything
01:02:15you're standing for
01:02:16in terms of this.
01:02:17You're talking the right things
01:02:18about a Kodak world.
01:02:19We believe it's a Kodak world.
01:02:20In fact,
01:02:21we've got a website
01:02:22called the Kodak world.
01:02:23We've had it for a long time.
01:02:24We even have some of the stars
01:02:25that are here tonight
01:02:26that are on that website,
01:02:27but you missed the task.
01:02:28That's the key thing.
01:02:29The customer's always right.
01:02:30In this case,
01:02:31pricey ink stinks.
01:02:32Everybody loves
01:02:33the Kodak all-in-one printer.
01:02:35We want to keep them
01:02:36on the shelves.
01:02:37This year, we'll triple,
01:02:38and Donald, as you said,
01:02:39we doubled our sales
01:02:40through this.
01:02:41So, Jeff,
01:02:42you think you were right.
01:02:43Gene was wrong.
01:02:44In this case,
01:02:45we were right.
01:02:46Hey, the stars were right.
01:02:47The winning team, Hydra,
01:02:48they let it.
01:02:49They did it.
01:02:50Gene, one last question.
01:02:51Trace or Pierce?
01:02:52Who do I pick?
01:02:53Well, you know,
01:02:54there's a two-sided story
01:02:55to this.
01:02:56One is the television show
01:02:57we're all on,
01:02:58The Celebrity Apprentice,
01:02:59and there was a task given,
01:03:00and certainly Pierce
01:03:01outperformed in pure cash.
01:03:02Trace Atkins, however,
01:03:03has a quality
01:03:04that is sorely missing
01:03:05in America,
01:03:06and that's called
01:03:07a tug of the heart.
01:03:08His voice,
01:03:09his persona,
01:03:10that quiet moment
01:03:11when the flag
01:03:12of these United States
01:03:13of America goes up,
01:03:14there should be
01:03:15a moment of silence
01:03:16for the flag
01:03:17that gave your life
01:03:18possibility,
01:03:19and Trace Atkins
01:03:20has that quality,
01:03:21that aw shucks
01:03:22kind of demeanor.
01:03:23All he needs to do
01:03:24is surround himself
01:03:25by other people.
01:03:26So, Gene,
01:03:27who do you like?
01:03:28Who do you like?
01:03:29Tell me.
01:03:30Who do you like, Gene?
01:03:31And I like you, too, Gene,
01:03:32but you should have
01:03:33gone with Kodak.
01:03:34Who do you like?
01:03:35They'll come back.
01:03:36They'll come back to me.
01:03:37You'll see.
01:03:38The answer is...
01:03:39The answer is...
01:03:40The answer is Trace Atkins.
01:03:42Okay.
01:03:43Thank you, Gene.
01:03:44Thank you, Jeff.
01:03:46Thank you very much.
01:03:47This season
01:03:48was really
01:03:49about charity,
01:03:50and boy,
01:03:51have these guys
01:03:52done a job.
01:03:53They really have
01:03:54done something.
01:03:55So, you know,
01:03:56let's check this out
01:03:57and see what's going on
01:03:58with this guy.
01:03:59I mean,
01:04:00you know,
01:04:01so, you know,
01:04:02let's check this out.
01:04:03Trace, congratulations.
01:04:08The name of my charity
01:04:09is Food Allergy
01:04:10and Anaphylaxis Network,
01:04:12FAN,
01:04:13for short.
01:04:14Lord, thank you
01:04:15for this food
01:04:16and this family.
01:04:17Jesus, name him in.
01:04:18The charity actually
01:04:19helps fund research
01:04:20to try to figure out
01:04:21what it is
01:04:22that's causing this.
01:04:23This charity
01:04:24means so much
01:04:25to my family
01:04:26because
01:04:27my six-year-old daughter,
01:04:28Brianna,
01:04:29has severe
01:04:30food allergies.
01:04:31She had a reaction
01:04:32before we came here.
01:04:33You had a reaction?
01:04:34So many people
01:04:35have the misconception
01:04:36that,
01:04:37oh, it's an allergy.
01:04:38What happens
01:04:39is they swell
01:04:40to the point
01:04:41that their air passage
01:04:42would just be closed off.
01:04:44That's where
01:04:45the anaphylactic shock
01:04:46comes in.
01:04:47That's how
01:04:48it'll kill them.
01:04:51Wait, take a minute.
01:04:52When we discovered
01:04:53that she had food allergies,
01:04:54she was just a baby
01:04:55then,
01:04:56six, eight months old.
01:04:57It's heartbreaking
01:04:58when you think
01:04:59it's heartbreaking
01:05:00when Brianna
01:05:01has these episodes.
01:05:02There is no
01:05:03greater pain
01:05:04for a parent
01:05:05than to see
01:05:06their child
01:05:07in pain.
01:05:08We have to be vigilant.
01:05:10And this is
01:05:11in case she wants pizza
01:05:12because all the other kids
01:05:13are having pizza.
01:05:14When I make her lunch,
01:05:15I make sure
01:05:16that it's safe.
01:05:17You know, just food
01:05:18is everywhere.
01:05:19There's not a minute
01:05:20that goes by
01:05:21that you're not wondering
01:05:22is she safe?
01:05:23On the chair,
01:05:24on the chair,
01:05:25up, up,
01:05:26you.
01:05:27Back,
01:05:28back,
01:05:30back.
01:05:33Some of the dangers
01:05:34of sending Brianna to school,
01:05:35just someone else
01:05:36touching her
01:05:37that has
01:05:38peanut butter
01:05:39on her hand
01:05:40or milk
01:05:41and she has a reaction.
01:05:42I mean,
01:05:43we have seven minutes
01:05:44before she could be dead.
01:05:45That's very frightening.
01:05:46Next.
01:05:48Spaghetti, okay?
01:05:49Spaghetti's fine.
01:05:50When we decided
01:05:51to send Brianna
01:05:52to school,
01:05:53we had to educate
01:05:54everyone
01:05:55that she came
01:05:56in contact with.
01:05:57Great.
01:05:58Fan helps us with that with cartoon type drawings and stuff to let them know what would happen to Brianna and it makes you change
01:06:05Everything that you do
01:06:11There are over 12 million Americans that are affected by severe food allergies and over
01:06:173 million of those are school-aged children and those numbers are growing every year
01:06:22It really demands that we do something about it
01:06:25As a parent all my kids keep me grounded but Brianna and she's a special kid
01:06:30I mean, she's a sweetheart kid too. And everybody loves her a lot of people look out for it and
01:06:36I'm very grateful and thankful for that
01:06:48He's soft-spoken but when he sings he gets everyone's attention
01:06:52Here he is singing his new number one single just went to number one, hopefully he'll give me 25%
01:06:58You're gonna miss this Trace Atkins
01:07:10She was staring out the window
01:07:13of their SUV
01:07:17Complaining saying I can't wait to turn 18
01:07:22She said I'll make my own money
01:07:25And I'll make my own rules
01:07:28Mama put the car in park out there in front of the school
01:07:34And she kissed her head
01:07:37And said I was just like you
01:07:40But you're gonna miss this
01:07:43You're gonna want this back
01:07:47You're gonna wish these days
01:07:50Hadn't gone by so fast
01:07:53These are some good times
01:07:56So take a good look around
01:07:59You may not know it now
01:08:05But you're gonna miss this
01:08:10Before she knows it
01:08:12She's a brand new bride
01:08:15In her one-bedroom apartment and her daddy stops by
01:08:21He tells her it's a nice place she says it'll do for now
01:08:27Starts talking about babies and buying a house
01:08:33Daddy shakes his head
01:08:36And says baby just go down
01:08:39Cuz you're gonna miss this
01:08:45Five years later there's a plumber
01:08:49He's working on the water heater
01:08:52Dogs barking, phones ringing
01:08:55One kid's crying, one kid's screaming
01:08:58And she keeps apologizing
01:09:01But he says they don't bother me
01:09:04I've got two babies of my own
01:09:07One's 36, one's 23
01:09:11And it's hard to believe
01:09:14That you're gonna miss this
01:09:17You're gonna want this back
01:09:20You're gonna wish these days
01:09:23Hadn't gone by so fast
01:09:26These are some good times
01:09:29So take a good look around
01:09:33You may not know it now
01:09:38But you're gonna miss this
01:09:44You're gonna miss this
01:10:14You're gonna miss this
01:10:17You're gonna miss
01:10:23From New York City, it's the live season finale of The Celebrity Apprentice
01:10:29And here again is Donald Trump
01:10:38Pierce was criticized heavily and even hated by many for his style of play
01:10:42They think he's a vicious guy, he probably is
01:10:45But he also did a really good job for his charity
01:10:48Take a look
01:10:54The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund does amazing things
01:10:57Raising money for severely wounded American servicemen and women
01:11:02They built this incredible center in San Antonio
01:11:05The Center for the Intrepid
01:11:07And this kind of place reminds everybody
01:11:09Of the incredible sacrifice that these soldiers make
01:11:12This is our military performance laboratory
01:11:15I spent a few hours walking around the center with the director, Dr. Menetrez
01:11:19Well, this is where occupational therapy takes place
01:11:22Yeah
01:11:24You could tell from some of the rooms the scale of the work that goes on here
01:11:28Prosthetists work directly with the patients
01:11:31They make prosthetics that enable people to run again
01:11:34To run
01:11:36This is an art
01:11:37This is plastic art
01:11:39This is an art
01:11:41I spent most of today meeting some of the more severely wounded patients here
01:11:45Who've all lost limbs
01:11:47And it was incredibly moving
01:11:49When I got hit, you know, it was just a big puff of smoke
01:11:52You know, you think you can walk it off, but not that night, not that day
01:11:56Shane and his friend could have been just two guys down the local bar
01:12:00And then you realize that Shane has no legs
01:12:03He's a hell of a guy
01:12:04Just by looking at him now and the way he goes through his rehabilitation
01:12:09It makes me strive even more
01:12:11I appreciate it, brother
01:12:13I love you
01:12:20The most powerful moment for me of the day
01:12:24Was meeting Matthew, who was 21 years old
01:12:27Who had not only suffered a double amputation of his legs
01:12:30But also lost his sight
01:12:32I'd go back if I could
01:12:34Unfinished business
01:12:37But I like it here
01:12:39Great people that like to work with you
01:12:41And just a very fun atmosphere
01:12:43They had more spirit now, I suspect
01:12:46Than before they suffered their injuries
01:12:48And a lot of that is down to what happens here at the center
01:12:52I'd like to give you this coin
01:12:54As a symbol of our appreciation
01:12:57This is the technique
01:12:59I'm very honored, thank you very much
01:13:01This means a lot to me
01:13:02No one should forget these soldiers
01:13:04I don't think there's any greater sacrifice
01:13:07That anyone can make
01:13:09Than to fight for their country's freedom
01:13:12I really believe this is the very least we should be doing
01:13:22Pierce
01:13:26Introduce us to your friends
01:13:29Mr. Trump
01:13:31I'd like to introduce you to
01:13:33Marine Lance Corporal Matthew Bradford
01:13:35To Army Corporal Shane Parsons
01:13:40To Master Sergeant Chet Marcus
01:13:43To Sergeant Amy Hernandez
01:13:46And Staff Sergeant Joseph Copeland
01:13:58So let me ask you
01:14:00What do you think Marcus?
01:14:02What do you think of the job that Pierce did?
01:14:04It's something that needed to be done
01:14:07Great guy?
01:14:09I don't know him that well
01:14:11But I think it's something that really needed to be done
01:14:13Raised a lot of money
01:14:15What do you think?
01:14:17I think he's done a great job
01:14:19We stand behind him 100%
01:14:21You guys have really done a great job
01:14:23I mean that's something
01:14:25And I'll tell you what
01:14:27I have courage financially
01:14:28Let's hear it for these great people
01:14:30These are great, great people
01:14:59The auction ends April 3rd
01:15:01And all net proceeds will benefit
01:15:03The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund
01:15:04This season we raised over a million dollars for charity
01:15:06And I'm going to throw in another $250,000
01:15:08For the winners of this year's auction

01:16:30Thank you
01:16:32Thank you
01:16:34that live in fear every day when they send their children to school
01:16:37because they're afraid they're going to be exposed to something
01:16:39and go into anaphylactic shock.
01:16:41I'm here representing those 3 million fathers
01:16:43because we want that money,
01:16:45because we know what FAN will do with it.
01:16:47They'll help save our children's lives.
01:16:50And nobody wants anything more than we want that.
01:16:53I think that's true.
01:16:58Pierce, make your case.
01:17:01Well, I don't want to rain on the parade here,
01:17:02and I've heard all the eulogies to Trace,
01:17:04and I agree, he's a good guy.
01:17:06If this was a good guy competition
01:17:08to find America's most likable man,
01:17:10he would win immediately.
01:17:11But it is a business competition
01:17:14with a premium on raising money for charity.
01:17:17Do you think you're more capable than Trace?
01:17:18Well, as you know, Mr. Trump,
01:17:19business in the end comes down to the bottom line, to numbers.
01:17:22I won 9 out of the 11 challenges you set me,
01:17:25more than anybody else.
01:17:26I raised over half a million dollars,
01:17:28more than every other contestant put together.
01:17:31I had, in your words, the biggest slaughter
01:17:33in the history of The Apprentice in one episode.
01:17:36That's true. That's true.
01:17:37I also brought in the biggest and the most celebrities.
01:17:41So on every single business and charity fundraising checklist,
01:17:44I killed everyone. Now...
01:17:46That's the way I...
01:17:49...as to the respective merits of the charities...
01:17:53You were not loved. You were not loved.
01:17:55Mr. Trump, you're not loved.
01:17:56Is that important to you? No, it's not.
01:17:58You're not loved. That's true.
01:17:59You're not loved. Let me ask you.
01:18:01What do you think? Any words?
01:18:02Well, first of all, I have total respect for both of you,
01:18:04and I think you both did a tremendous job.
01:18:07What I keep coming back to, Piers,
01:18:08is this would have been a very short boardroom
01:18:11had you have had a better bedside manner.
01:18:13As Lennox Lewis said...
01:18:14You don't know about my bedside manner. I'm good.
01:18:16Cool.
01:18:17Touche.
01:18:19But you lack, right here,
01:18:21that's a great example of the tact that you lack.
01:18:27And the problem is...
01:18:29Hang on a second. Hang on. That was a gag.
01:18:31Do you think I produce dummies?
01:18:32No.
01:18:34I don't. Try it out.
01:18:35I think you're just distracted from what we're hearing.
01:18:37Now, let me explain to you where I came from on this.
01:18:39I've heard all this stuff,
01:18:40and Trace is great and insane, Trace, right?
01:18:42I was like I was to win a game.
01:18:44On the game, I raised money for that charity,
01:18:47for those guys, right?
01:18:48They cannot, in America, right now...
01:18:50Do you think you would have raised less money, though,
01:18:52had you been more polite? No, Ivanka, let me just say,
01:18:54there cannot be a more important charity to work for.
01:18:57When these guys go to battle, they fight to the finish.
01:19:00When I play this business game...
01:19:01Do you think your charity is more important
01:19:03than Trace's charity?
01:19:04No, I would never say that.
01:19:05I just happen to think right now
01:19:07that I gave everything in every challenge,
01:19:10and my motivation for it to raise large sums of money
01:19:13was to support these guys and give them a second chance.
01:19:16And I am absolutely standing by every single thing I did.
01:19:20I believe I have integrity, right?
01:19:22I don't like my integrity being called into question.
01:19:25I don't like arguing about integrity.
01:19:27Do you have a final statement?
01:19:28Yeah, I'm a pretty decisive guy,
01:19:29but I don't envy your position tonight
01:19:31because Trace is the most likable guy
01:19:33perhaps I've met throughout all the Apprentices.
01:19:35At the same time,
01:19:36you can't discount Piers' effectiveness.
01:19:38But one question I really have
01:19:39comes down to the use of the Rolodex.
01:19:42You have an incredibly deep Rolodex
01:19:43and you definitely have skills beyond that.
01:19:46But could Trace ever match just the sheer numbers
01:19:49that you were able to raise
01:19:50because of the lack of Rolodex, Piers?
01:19:51You can't hang on.
01:19:53Because you can't hang on.
01:19:54We have one minute left.
01:19:55Can I respond to that one?
01:19:56No, you can't.
01:19:57Okay.
01:19:58Piers, you're a vicious guy.
01:20:00I've seen it.
01:20:02We can try and dispute it.
01:20:03You can try and dispute it.
01:20:05You're tough.
01:20:06You're smart.
01:20:07You're probably brilliant.
01:20:08I'm not sure.
01:20:09You're certainly not diplomatic.
01:20:11But you did an amazing job
01:20:12and you beat the hell out of everybody.
01:20:15And you won by far more than anybody.
01:20:18Trace, you ended up with the number one single.
01:20:20You ended up great.
01:20:22You have an amazing family.
01:20:23Beautiful children.
01:20:25You're really a special guy.
01:20:27You're a special human being.
01:20:29A beautiful guy.
01:20:30I'll always love you.
01:20:32But for tonight, Piers,
01:20:33you're the celebrity of the night.
01:20:55It's been a really great season.
01:20:57We'll see you next year.
01:20:59We're going to be around for a long time.
01:21:25Your local news is next.
