00:00Previously on The Apprentice, Surya led Arrow to victory.
00:06So Arrow, you win.
00:09Surya, congratulations. I guess you are a good team leader. Very good.
00:13Amy, I'm disappointed in you.
00:15I am as well.
00:16The sad part is you have to move back into the tents. It's not nice, but life is a bitch.
00:21Kinetic, I'll see you back in the boardroom. Somebody will be fired.
00:25Later, a romance bloomed between Tim and Nicole.
00:30Thank you, Parker. Thank you, Parker.
00:38Throughout the entire process, there was always something going on between me and Tim.
00:42Tim and I finally kissed.
00:44In the boardroom, Amy was confronted by her kinetic teammates.
00:48All right, let me ask you this. Why should I fire Jennifer?
00:51She snaps at a lot of people on the team.
00:52I think it's because Amy just doesn't like it. We don't get along.
00:54She just could not step up and be assertive enough.
00:56Amy, you didn't have the proper leadership. You're not a leader. Amy, you're fired.
01:07Go. Please, go.
01:20Oh, she's pissed.
01:38The mood team is pretty excited right now because we got rid of another piece of riff-raff off of our team.
01:42Amy standed no chance in there at all tonight. The entire team was against her.
01:46Did she give you the eyes of death?
01:48Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
01:50She got in the car. She turned around, and she's just like, she's going to kill us.
01:55When Amy got fired, she got led down to the car. She turned around, and she was just like...
02:01And it scared the crap... It was like the ending of The Omen where a little kid is just driving away,
02:05and she gave me the look of the devil. It was like...
02:10No, I agree, but we have to get back to where we were.
02:12Yeah, to where we were.
02:13Who wants to be project manager? Do we want to sleep on it again?
02:16If you guys will have faith in me and whatever, then I will absolutely step up.
02:20The team asked who was going to volunteer to be the next project manager, and I decided to step up and do it.
02:24I felt ready, and I felt like if I was ever going to earn the respect of my team, then I needed to do it now.
02:29I 100% am psyched to lead you guys.
02:32Jennifer has actually decided to step up and be our project manager.
02:35Jennifer's our last piece of riff-raff that I want to get rid of before our team can truly excel.
02:40Regardless of what Jennifer does on the task, I will gun for Jennifer and get rid of her.
03:16Come on, that beat, oh, beat
03:21Make it rain on my desire
03:25I don't know that money
03:29Give me a nickel, brother, can you spell that?
03:34Money can drive some people out of their mind
03:40No good, no good
03:42Money, money, money, money, money
03:47TFI
03:52How do you feel about Surya?
03:54I think all of us are willing to be led by somebody who is truly inspirational, but we're seeing that he's not, so it bothers us.
04:01I wanted all of us to get the credit for the win.
04:04Right now, our really has come together. We work strong together.
04:07And Surya's PM, and we go on a run, and he gets all the credit.
04:10And Surya's going to be PM once again.
04:12The fact that our PM is the one person who's different, that's just an awkward situation.
04:16He thinks half of us are weird.
04:17Disapproves of the drinking.
04:18He's like the kid in the school playground that wants to be accepted by everyone.
04:22He wants to be cool, but he just isn't.
04:24If Surya doesn't mesh with the team, it's going to be distracting.
04:28No one's going to want to listen to their leader. That's a serious problem.
04:30Give your teammates the proper respect.
04:33A dude of revolution is a very, very risky move at this time.
04:36A coup?
04:37Yeah, a coup.
04:38I agree.
04:39But if we feel he's taken the ship down, we're going to take over.
05:06Good morning.
05:07Good morning, Mr. Trump.
05:09Welcome to week seven of your 14-week job interview, and it hasn't been easy.
05:15Is that correct?
05:16That's correct.
05:17As you can see, Ivanka is not with us this morning.
05:20She's away on a business trip.
05:22So Randall will be my eyes and ears for this wonderful event.
05:27Now, we're standing at 2 Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
05:31It's one of the most beautiful shopping centers anywhere in California, perhaps anywhere in the world.
05:37It's got the finest stores, the finest luxury, and that's what we're going to be discussing today, luxury.
05:45Next to me are two wonderful executives with Lexus. Your name, please.
05:50I'm Deborah Meyer, the vice president of marketing for Lexus.
05:53Ann Bybee, corporate manager for Lexus advertising and brand strategy.
05:57What is the task that you would like these two very talented teams to do?
06:02Okay, your task for today is to create a special owner experience for a group of our preferred guests to introduce our new flagship sedan, the Lexus LS 460.
06:12Now, each team will have $50,000 in seed money.
06:16When it's finished, the guests will take a survey where they'll rate your event.
06:22The team that generates the highest customer satisfaction score wins.
06:27Surya, since you were the winning project manager last week, you'll be project manager of your team again this week.
06:34Losers, I'll see you in the boardroom. Somebody will be fired.
06:38Go ahead. Enjoy yourself. Great car.
06:46Let's just have a quick 10-minute meeting.
06:48I think one of our main things is we really want to show you, you know, this new Lexus.
06:52It practically has a sixth sense.
06:54Once we decided on a theme, which was come experience your sixth sense of luxury, we needed to come up with events that tied in with that theme.
07:03Angela was put in charge of marketing on this task.
07:06Do you have thoughts from the creative department?
07:12I don't know.
07:13I'm hitting a roadblock. I can't think of something that's going to tie into this sixth sense.
07:17I was just drawing a blank. I needed help.
07:19I strongly think that we need to do something really just different.
07:22Something that people wouldn't normally do.
07:24After three hours of nothing, of no ideas, I just was getting frustrated.
07:28And I was just trying to throw out any ideas that I had to get these women moving.
07:31You could have, like, a tarot card reader there or something like that.
07:35Get a magician.
07:36Oh, that's good.
07:37A magician. I think that's great.
07:38Maybe a go-kart's out there.
07:39Okay, well, you can't drive the Lexus around really fast this lot, but you can do this.
07:42It's an excellent idea. Some sort of go-kart racing upstairs, outside.
07:45My concern is taking away from the luxurious experience so that they can ride a go-kart.
07:51We can't forget what we're here for, and it's a luxury brand.
07:55I just think that we'd be, like, remiss not to be doing something like this.
07:59And I strongly think that we should do the go-kart thing.
08:01I know some people didn't like the go-kart concept.
08:03At the last second, when you have no other options and you need to find something related to driving and cars,
08:07I think go-karts was a good idea.
08:09Right now, I think what might work best for us is for Heidi and Luna to split off and meet with the car guy.
08:15And that's going to be really important.
08:17So I have the keys. And which one do you want to start with?
08:20Let's start with the standard one.
08:23Luna and I split off in the rest of the team and headed out to the Lexus LS460.
08:28And we had a tech consultant to help us learn the vehicle.
08:32Okay, so then what would be the next step? Obviously, put it in here.
08:35Oh, no, wait. Fixing mirrors.
08:37Luna and I are detail-oriented, and we are perfectionists.
08:40So we were going through that vehicle with a fine-tooth comb.
08:42And what is this made of? Do you know?
08:45Wood.
08:46You just press trunk. Yeah, just open both of them.
08:49Okay, we're going to try to be exterior.
08:51Yes.
08:52Now, is there anything down here that we don't know?
08:55We literally went through every single visible button in those two prototypes.
09:02And it's our next on the block. And, you know, it's just a part of being thorough.
09:07Oh, and we haven't even gotten to the gear stick yet.
09:10Taking the feel of VIP.
09:12It's an elite, exclusive, luxurious club.
09:15Can we package all this with a theme?
09:17It's a new standard in—
09:18Bringing luxury to a new level.
09:20I like it. I like it.
09:21I like the idea.
09:22Hey, sir, I got a question.
09:23Yeah, brother.
09:24What are we doing right now?
09:25As soon as we got to the war room, Surya started riding on this big, big whiteboard.
09:30It's like 5 feet by 20 feet.
09:33The whole thing was covered with just crap.
09:36Like, up here I'm going to put all the things that we know.
09:37Like, here's our toolbox of all the information we know.
09:39And we're going to use this to make sure we don't forget something that's critical.
09:41We needed everybody to be able to look up at the board
09:43and understand what their piece was and how it fit into the bigger picture.
09:47What is he doing? What is he— He's running out of room.
09:50Remember the movie A Beautiful Mind?
09:53We all sort of just said, okay, fine.
09:55Just leave him with his dry erase marker and just don't talk to him.
09:58We're setting up an event that's going to take place tomorrow.
10:01It starts at 1 o'clock.
10:02There's 50 to 70 guests coming in.
10:04Stephanie and myself, we're handling all the event planning for tomorrow
10:07because if someone doesn't step up and try to take the reins,
10:10then we're not going to win.
10:11We're serving individual-sized hors d'oeuvres.
10:14James is sort of taking over the ride part of the event,
10:17and I hope that the rest of the team is doing product knowledge.
10:20You know what's so nice about the new and improved 460?
10:24Our leather is massaged twice.
10:27When you watch Tim and Nicole on a task,
10:31When you watch Tim and Nicole on a task,
10:33it's like they're in their little world.
10:35They're lovey-dovey. They're gazing into each other's eyes.
10:38Tim and Nicole's relationship is making them soft.
10:41Nerd.
10:42Tim, don't be a nerd.
10:48We have one of these, four of these, four of the other sizes, plus this one.
10:54Angela and I had about five hours to work with the graphic designer.
10:58Once you go over 9 o'clock,
11:00I have no idea if I can guarantee getting it done on time.
11:04We had to have our graphic designs finished by 9 o'clock,
11:07or else we risk possibly missing a delivery date.
11:09And then let me finish.
11:11You order what you need.
11:12I'm not ordering any banners.
11:14You are doing these doubles.
11:15That whole idea was to create your marketing, so tell them what to do.
11:18Crop that even more.
11:20Is that colder?
11:24These are the designs you have to play with,
11:26so make them any size you want.
11:28The responsibility for marketing is on Angela.
11:31Ultimately, I report to her for this one.
11:33So, that's all on her.
11:35On the top, I think it would be great to either put the Lexus,
11:38is that possible?
11:43The deadline was 9 o'clock, and what happened?
11:46We missed the deadline.
11:47Now, the biggest worry for me is whether or not the signage is going to come in tomorrow morning.
11:51Angela is f***ing up, and I'm having to pay the consequences for it.
11:55It's like saying to Mr. Trump,
11:56listen, my things are done at 8 o'clock.
11:59You okay there?
12:00You do whatever you need to do.
12:01We just have to get the order in.
12:02We'll just leave it.
12:03We'll just leave it.
12:04Get the order in.
12:05Get the order in.
12:06We'll just leave it.
12:13Where's Nikki?
12:14Anybody seen her?
12:17Oh, Tim.
12:20You're the best.
12:21I'm ready to toast, Deb.
12:23When Frankie and I left the house this morning,
12:24our project manager, Surya, stayed at the house with Nicole, Tim, and James.
12:29This, I never wear.
12:30You know it's that gold Lexus kind of color?
12:32Right.
12:33So that's why I'm wearing it.
12:34Yeah, for sure.
12:35I'm like, this screams Lexus.
12:36Tim, does this scream Lexus?
12:37Shrieks it.
12:38I don't know what the rest of the team's doing,
12:39but frankly, to have the rest of the team would have just been more of an interference than a help.
12:43We have event planning.
12:44If any one little thing goes wrong with that,
12:46the event doesn't come off, right?
12:47It falls on us.
12:48It's us.
12:49I said that from yesterday.
12:50And he's going to say, I had nothing to do with it.
12:51I didn't do anything.
12:52And he would be right.
12:57Signage is here.
13:00Our objective today is to create an event for the Lexus 460.
13:03Our whole theme has been based on the clairvoyant
13:06and how this car is really smarter than the driver, almost.
13:09You know, your sixth sense is really taken over in this car.
13:14Didn't we have more than one sign?
13:16What happened?
13:18I wanted another sign.
13:19Our signage didn't get in in time last night,
13:21so we had to cut it in half.
13:23So I understand that Derek's a little irritated,
13:25and signage was his duty.
13:27We could add...
13:28I know, it just sucks.
13:30Are you kidding me?
13:32Angela was in charge of marking.
13:33I was supposed to take my direction from her.
13:35And Angela is responsible for the signage debacle.
13:38That pisses me off about that.
13:40I know, it sucks.
13:47Thank you all for coming today.
13:48My name is Surya.
13:49Behind me is my team.
13:50We're all here to make sure
13:51that you have an incredible day here.
13:53Enjoy your day.
13:54When the guests started arriving,
13:55I was feeling very anxious,
13:56because even though I'm project manager,
13:57Frank and Steph, they were the ones in charge
13:59of all the logistics of the actual event.
14:01I'm flying a little bit blind,
14:02and that's a very frustrating feeling,
14:03to not be in total control.
14:05It's beautiful.
14:06This looks great.
14:08The vibe in this event was luxury all the way.
14:11We had beautifully appointed buffet tables,
14:13shrimp, seared ahi, pastries.
14:16We had beautiful floral arrangements everywhere,
14:19and us waiting to answer your questions.
14:22There's a couple worlds first.
14:23One of them is the 8-speed automatic transmission.
14:30I want to show this man the navigation system.
14:32Is the car on?
14:33It's not.
14:34I didn't turn anything to change it.
14:37I'm going to just find out
14:38exactly what to do about this.
14:40Perfect.
14:41Suddenly nothing's working in the car.
14:42People can't see the features in the car anymore.
14:44You can't show them a side.
14:45You can't show the infrared lights.
14:46You can't show the navigation system.
14:48Zoom in.
14:50Zoom out.
14:52It's not in the mood.
14:54My battery got low again, I think.
14:56Yeah, I think you're right.
14:57Unfortunately,
14:58because so many people have used the massager,
15:00the battery,
15:01when the battery died in the car,
15:03people were standing around wondering,
15:05what's going on?
15:06Why am I here?
15:07I mean, that's a problem.
15:08You don't want to disappoint people
15:09when they're going to grade you.
15:10All right, well,
15:11this is rather unfortunate.
15:16Hi there.
15:17Hi there.
15:18We have some literature for you.
15:20I'm an events person.
15:22I do PR at events for my job,
15:24and this was tougher than anything
15:26that's ever been thrown at me in my entire life,
15:28not to mention the fact
15:29that I have to whip out a presentation
15:30that I have no idea what I'm going to say right now,
15:32and I'm making it up completely on the spot,
15:34so we'll see how that goes.
15:35Good afternoon, everybody.
15:36Welcome.
15:37You are about to be
15:38the first people in the world
15:40to see the brand-new 2007 Lexus.
15:442007 Lexus LS 460.
15:53You can turn your attention to the screen so you can see.
15:55It will tell you a little bit more about this vehicle.
15:59I lost my place a little bit.
16:01The front has been redesigned as well with the headlights,
16:04and I need to find my place on here.
16:07During the presentation,
16:08the big thing was that I just couldn't see the TV,
16:10so I couldn't follow along.
16:11There was a glare from the light coming in from the tent,
16:13so I couldn't see it unless I really moved around.
16:20We have many, many things that we've incorporated right now.
16:23Sorry, I think I just actually caught the mic the right way.
16:26Can you guys hear me better now?
16:27Can you guys not hear me before?
16:29I was very disappointed in Jen in the presentation,
16:32only because she does this for a living.
16:34She enjoys your experience.
16:35Uh-oh.
16:36Whoa, uh-oh.
16:37I don't know if the go-karts
16:38are really going to pull us out of this one.
16:43Go!
16:50All right!
16:56Ready?
17:05Nice work!
17:06Two ladies in heels driving go-karts.
17:08Everyone seemed to really like the go-karts.
17:10I would say we entertained about half the people a lot
17:12by getting them on the go-karts.
17:18To my right.
17:19How are you?
17:20I'm Andrew, by the way.
17:21I'm Robert.
17:22It's a pleasure.
17:23Nice to meet you.
17:24This guy who looks like Yanni on crack rolls in,
17:27and I'm like, that's got to be the illusionist.
17:29But just looking at him, you're like,
17:30you know he's going to do some freaky crap,
17:32because he just looks freaky.
17:33Pick a card, any card type of thing, right?
17:35Take one out, it can be any one.
17:37I'm going to go with this one.
17:38Okay.
17:39I was being too subtle, wasn't I?
17:41You didn't pick up on the secret signal.
17:43That's all right.
17:44No, no, no, no.
17:45Good?
17:46Now I can find it the easy way or the hard way.
17:48What do you want to see?
17:49The easy way.
17:50The easy way.
17:53Was that your card?
17:54That's my card.
17:55Thanks.
17:58If you would like to sign up for the Ride & Drive,
18:00please come up and do so at this time.
18:02I had to be responsible for designing the Ride & Drive
18:06to executing it.
18:07We allowed our customers to really experience acceleration
18:11and going through the potholes
18:13and demonstrate the ability for the car to park by itself.
18:16It was fabulous.
18:19This is unbelievable.
18:21Absolutely.
18:22This is not a bad feature.
18:23Oh my gosh, I can't believe it.
18:25I can't believe it.
18:27The 2007 LS460 parks itself.
18:29That's just sick that a car can park itself.
18:32Like, are you kidding me?
18:34Ladies and gentlemen,
18:35we really, really enjoyed having you
18:37on behalf of our entire team.
18:39Thank you so much.
18:40I think our Lexus event went very well.
18:42If we win, I will gladly take credit
18:46on behalf of Frank and myself.
18:48If we lose this task
18:49and Surya brings me into the boardroom for any reason,
18:53I will crush him.
18:54Everybody was smiling.
18:55Nobody snapped at each other.
18:56Everybody was calm.
18:57It was great.
19:03I love you.

19:43drYou were asked to promote the new Lexus ls 460 kinetic.
19:44How did you do We did outstanding Mr. Some.
19:45This team works so hard and is so dedicated to never giving up.
19:48This was a crazy task with a lot of elements in it and the team just came together on every
19:52single thing.
19:53Syria you were the project manager of arrow.
19:55Yes, sir.
19:56How do you think you did?
19:57I think we did very well, everybody dug really deep.
19:59And when it was game time, we got a bunch of gamers here.
20:01and you to put their game face on, it's amazing.
20:03And look at you two, Tim and Nicole standing together.
20:06Like two perfect, beautiful couple.
20:09Beautiful couple, very good.
20:11I'm proud of you two, I'm proud of you.
20:14All right, Randall, how did Arrow do?
20:16Well, Mr. Trump, the Arrow event survey comments
20:19included the following.
20:20Staff very polite, were not on their way to help us.
20:23It was very well organized.
20:25It is exactly what I expected from Lexus.
20:27Great show and event.
20:29Arrow, the Lexus Preferred customers rated your event
20:32on a scale of one to a hundred.
20:34Your Lexus Preferred guests gave you
20:35an overall rating of 94.
20:38So that doesn't mean you won.
20:43I know, but that's, that's, that's very.
20:4494 is pretty good.
20:46That's great.
20:47So Randall, how did Kinetic do?
20:48Well, Mr. Trump, comments from Kinetic's event survey
20:52were as follows.
20:53Sixth Sense message didn't seem to fit the day.
20:55It lacked activities or learning opportunities.
20:58Go-karts didn't feel like Lexus.
21:00Kinetic, your Preferred Lexus guests
21:03gave you a rating of 84.
21:09Congratulations, Arrow.
21:10You win.
21:12It's as simple as that.
21:13Arrow, after creating a great promotional campaign
21:16for Lexus, you'll get to do something
21:18with a really good friend of mine.
21:20You know who Snoop Dogg is?
21:22Yeah!
21:23Huh?
21:23I do.
21:24Snoop Dogg, he's the greatest, okay?
21:26He's the greatest.
21:27Don't you have a plan?
21:28What you're going to do is you're going to create
21:29a new song with one of the nation's best-selling
21:33hip-hop artists, and that's our man, Snoop Dogg, okay?
21:36You'll head to the famous Pass Recording Studios
21:40in Los Angeles.
21:41You'll work with Snoop Dogg and his friends,
21:43and I'll tell you what.
21:44He's a great guy, believe me,
21:46and he's a lot different than you think.
21:48You know, you think he's a wild man.
21:50He is a very, very smart, tough businessman,
21:54in addition to being a great musician.
21:56Fascism.
21:57Yeah!
21:58Yeah!
21:59Yeah!
22:00Yeah!
22:00Surya, you were the project manager of the winning team.
22:03You will continue to be the project manager.
22:06Importantly, you'll be sitting in with Randall and myself,
22:09helping me to make a decision as to who should be fired.
22:13Harrow, one of the benefits is you'll continue
22:15to live in the beautiful mansion.
22:17Kinetic, I'm sorry.
22:18I'll see you back in the boardroom.
22:19Somebody will be fired.
22:21The end.
22:35Jen is not detail-oriented.
22:37No, not at all.
22:38You don't just come up with ideas.
22:39Every time I think about those go-karts,
22:41I just think about the inconvenience.
22:43There was just no way it fit into the theme,
22:45it screwed up the flow.
22:47Oh, the only thing that we know
22:47is he's gonna defend the go-karts to the end.
22:50Ultimately, Trump is the one who decides who's going to get fired, but we have influence over him.
22:54If I can get the entire team to name one person to get rid of, that's going to register in Trump's mind.
22:59It's like, okay, well clearly this person's an ass because everyone on this team hates him.
23:15You've got the right crowd protecting you, huh?
23:17When I walked into the past, the only thought that was going to my head was, this is so unbelievable.
23:21This feels extra special for me because since I've been like 10, I love Snoop Dogg.
23:25This is awesome, a dream come true.
23:27What's going on?
23:28What's happening? Y'all come on in a circle over here.
23:30Yeah?
23:33Clap your hands to the beat. Let's see if y'all can hold that beat. Come on.
23:37I want one of y'all to bust a freestyle for me.
23:40And I know you've been wanting to freestyle all night.
23:42You've been wanting to freestyle so bad your hair's standing up.
23:45Oh man.
23:47We're sitting here with Snoop Dogg. I don't know why.
23:50Let me tell you something, I can't tell you how.
23:52We are here as winners now.
23:54Let me tell you, I'm so proud of these folks now.
24:00That's good.
24:01I have never rapped.
24:02But add a couple of glasses of champagne, you're feeling good, the adrenaline's going.
24:06So I said, hey, what the hell, for shizzle my dizzle.
24:08We're here with Snoop and the fam.
24:11We're trying to make a record, that's our plan.
24:13Working for DT, trying to make it happen.
24:16Want to see a billion dollars in the next year?
24:20Is it going to happen? I don't know.
24:23Tell me so.
24:27You got the New York boy from the East Coast, living it up in the West Coast.
24:35I think we all suck at rapping, but Frank and James definitely put themselves out there to give it a shot.
24:40I'm impressed that they even tried to get up to the microphone.
24:42And Surya, who's the self-proclaimed Snoop number one fan, stood against a wall like an idiot.
24:48Didn't rap, didn't sing, didn't play an instrument, didn't even talk to Snoop.
24:51I'm really not sure why he bothered to go.
24:53Sometimes I wonder what I'm going to be.
24:56A doctor, a lawyer, maybe an emcee.
24:59Then I think about my life in the hood.
25:04Snoop Dogg, that's cool.
25:08Sucks.
25:10It ain't where you start, it's just where you finish.
25:13It ain't where you start, the race is where you finish.
25:21Hearing the final product of the song was awesome for the team.
25:25And especially just to have Snoop sitting there kind of bopping his head of approval.
25:30We got to hear our passion.
25:32Just everything that AeroCorp is was defined in that song.
25:37That's hot.
25:40That was hot.
25:41Thank you so much.
25:42It's a pleasure to meet y'all and working with y'all tonight.
25:44It was some real talk.
25:47I'll see y'all on top of the business world one day.
25:50Keep up the good work and keep on keeping on.
25:53Sky's the limit.
25:55Sky's the limit, I love that line.
26:01So tonight's the day.
26:04So tonight's going to suck because it's essentially going to come down to you and I.
26:08We definitely didn't do what I wanted creatively.
26:11I chose some go-karts.
26:12That's truly why I think we lost.
26:14Yeah, I do think we could have had a lot more ideas that would have made us not resort to go-karts and shit like that.
26:19I really do.
26:20I think I really did do a good job as project manager.
26:22Our creative is what sucked.
26:24And our creative stuff and the actual things that people were supposed to be doing was 100% Angela.
26:28I'm not going to go down without a fight.
26:31Jen dropped the ball in a lot of ways.
26:33Although I think she did a great job as a project manager.
26:36She needs some strategic decisions that I think will pull her down in the end.
26:56So Anne, how did Kinetic do?
26:58Not so impressive.
26:59I heard from Randall they use go-karts.
27:01That doesn't work on the quality of Alexa's brand, does it?
27:04Yes, that's true. The go-karts took away from the luxury factor.
27:06Did you see any stars?
27:08Well, Luna and Heidi put a tremendous effort out.
27:11I think they did a good job.
27:13The bottom line is Kinetic lost and very shortly somebody will be fired.
27:16I want to thank you both very much.
27:18It was a great pleasure working with you.
27:20You really do produce a great car.
27:22Thank you both very much.
27:29You can head straight to the boardroom.
27:59Jennifer, you were project manager. What happened?
28:09We lost.
28:10Are you surprised? You should be because you thought you won, right?
28:13I really did.
28:14I thought that everyone did such a good job on this team and worked so hard.
28:18It was incredible.
28:19I was really proud of us.
28:20The theme was bad. The signage I heard was terrible.
28:24We had some issues with a lot of things.
28:27But you just tell me the team did so great.
28:28Everything was great but then you say you have issues.
28:30I heard from Randall the theme was terrible.
28:32By comparison, if you saw the event of the opposing team compared to what I saw in the tent, no comparison.
28:39Completely conveyed luxury whereas yours was very, very average.
28:42I mean the other team had balloons.
28:44They had beautiful signage, LCD screens, multiple LCD screens and multiple signage.
28:48Whereas I saw maybe, how many signs did your team have? Three?
28:51We had four signs.
28:52Four signs?
28:53It was a much better looking event than yours. Much better looking.
28:56Well, I do think the team worked very hard together so I do still stand by that.
28:59It's not that anyone here was a colossal screw-up or anything like that.
29:03Who did the signage?
29:04Angela and Derek worked together on the signage.
29:07Why was the signage so bad, Derek? You're supposed to be this artsy guy.
29:10I only had about five hours to do signage.
29:12It's a lot of time, right?
29:13Well, not when you have to create multiple signs.
29:15Do you blame yourself for signage?
29:17I blame, if it wasn't creatively good and people didn't like it, I take some responsibility for that.
29:21But the working conditions in which I had to create it were not my problem.
29:25Do you think your event conveyed luxury, Derek?
29:27I think parts of the event conveyed luxury.
29:29I tried to make the signage convey luxury.
29:31All of our message points had the word luxury in there somewhere.
29:35If I were to say they lacked luxury, who would you blame for that?
29:37I would blame whoever was in charge of the customer experience.
29:40Who was in charge of customer experience?
29:41I'm not quite sure.
29:42You're not sure?
29:43I think it was Jennifer.
29:44Jennifer, you can tell me who you assigned those events to.
29:46The go-karts, the illusionists, the...
29:49Whose idea was the go-karts?
29:50It was Derek's idea initially.
29:51Go-kart...
29:52Hold on, hold on.
29:53Go-kart does not convey luxury.
29:54No, absolutely.
29:55Go-kart does not convey luxury.
29:56Yes, it was Derek's idea, but in his defense, the creative team did not come up with any ideas.
30:02So basically, by the time...
30:03But weren't you the creative team?
30:05No, Angela was the person in charge of creative.
30:06Yeah, but you were the project manager.
30:07This event was huge.
30:08You've seen it, how all the things we had to tie together.
30:10Essentially, we assigned people to three...
30:11But the other team had the same event and they tied it together the way it was.
30:14Yes, yes, so I'm explaining, but we assigned ourselves into three different teams.
30:16Angela and Derek were the people in charge of creative.
30:18Derek, can you ride in a go-kart?
30:20Yeah, that's the funniest part.
30:21I don't think you can.
30:22I probably couldn't ride in it.
30:23He said that at the time.
30:24But no, we were four hours into the first day and we hadn't had a theme yet.
30:25I was getting frustrated.
30:26I'm like, let's throw stuff out.
30:27And I'm like, how about go-karts?
30:28Just off the top of my head.
30:29And then later on, Christine said...
30:30Yeah, but things shouldn't be just said off the top of your head.
30:31No, and later on, Christine said, that doesn't convey luxury.
30:32And I said to Jen, I said, yeah, that probably does not convey luxury.
30:33I would like to do it, but I'm not the Lexus customer.
30:34I'm white trash.
30:35I only eat at restaurants with deep fried appetizers.
30:36So I know I'm not the Lexus...
30:37What do you mean, you're white trash?
30:38I'm just joking about that part.
30:39No, but what does that mean?
30:40You don't joke about that.
30:41What does that mean, you're white trash?
30:42You know, I grew up in a small town and...
30:43Does that make you white trash?
30:44No.
30:45Do you feel you're white trash?
30:46Sometimes I do.
30:47That's a pretty stinking statement.
30:48I was a little...
30:49I was a little...
30:50No, but don't you think that's a pretty bad statement about yourself?
30:51No, not necessarily.
30:52I don't think people take that seriously.
30:53It's not flattering.
30:54It doesn't sound flattering.
30:55Do you go around calling yourself white trash?
30:56It's a joke sometimes.
30:57Do you think I want to hire somebody?
30:58No, I don't.
30:59I don't.
31:00I don't.
31:01I don't.
31:02I don't.
31:03I don't.
31:04I don't.
31:05I don't.
31:06I don't.
31:07I don't.
31:08I don't.
31:09I don't.
31:10I don't.
31:11I don't.
31:12I don't.
31:13I don't.
31:14I don't.
31:15I don't.
31:16I don't.
31:17I don't.
31:18I don't.
31:19I don't.
31:20I don't.
31:21I don't.
31:22I don't.
31:23I don't.
31:24I don't.
31:25I don't.
31:26I don't.
31:27I don't.
31:28I don't.
31:29I don't.
31:31How stupid can you be?
31:34My strategy in this process is always to keep my mouth shut in the boardroom, and I totally screwed up this time.
31:39I knew I was going down, and I decided, hey, I'm going down my way, and I'm going to be a complete smartass.
31:44And unfortunately, Mr. Trump didn't appreciate that and gave me the smackdown.
31:47So right now in the boardroom, someone else is probably giving the smackdown.
31:50And you know what?
31:51Good luck to the ladies.
31:52I don't want to hire white trash.
31:54You know what?
31:55White trash, it's a terrible expression.
31:56It's not a nice expression.
31:58If you don't want to hire him and you think you can't see more people...
32:00No, no.
32:01I don't want to hire somebody that thinks he's white trash, even in a joking way, and I'm not sure he was joking.
32:06Okay.
32:07It's fair enough.
32:08By the way, I still have to fire somebody, specifically the person that's responsible for the loss.
32:21Heidi, let me ask you.
32:22You were a superstar.
32:23You're not a superstar anymore, because to be honest with you, you've lost a lot, Heidi.
32:27I'm not happy about it.
32:28Muna and I were in charge of product knowledge.
32:30I don't think we lost in product knowledge.
32:32I think that...
32:33You did great.
32:34If Randall...
32:35Muna and Heidi did an outstanding job, Mr. Trump, I must say.
32:39If there were two areas that this task was focused on, one being luxury and one being product knowledge, they clearly conveyed the product knowledge.
32:45What do you think of Jennifer as a project manager?
32:47She's good, but there are some areas that she needed to work on.
32:51When you're trying to choose something as major as a theme, everyone needs to be on board.
32:56Who do you think is most responsible for the loss?
33:00Whoever was in charge of conveying the theme, the theme was the six...
33:05Who do you think is most responsible for the loss?
33:08Who, specifically?
33:09Randall, I would have to put it on Jennifer's plate.
33:12Okay.
33:13Heidi, who would you say?
33:14I, as well, would have to put it on Jennifer's.
33:16Is that because I did a bad job or just because I'm the project manager?
33:18No.
33:19No, I think that the presentation in the beginning, the first thing we were judged on was...
33:22Who made the presentation?
33:23Jennifer.
33:24I did.
33:25I stumbled through it a little bit.
33:26Why did you fumble through it?
33:27Because when I got up there to do it, I could not see the screen.
33:29But, I will say, we had a...
33:31Why couldn't you see the screen?
33:32Because the glare from the tent coming in was blocking the screen.
33:34But didn't you check it beforehand?
33:35We did look, and it looked, it appeared that you could see it, but the sun moves across the sky.
33:39But weren't you prepared? Don't you have a memory where you don't have to really look?
33:41Not with any of the silly excuses for this.
33:43To be honest with you, I don't think presentation lost us the task.
33:45I think that many people actually came up to me after it and were like, that was great.
33:48But you said you fumbled through the presentation.
33:49Yeah, the beginning was really great.
33:50In the middle, I fumbled through it a little when I was supposed to turn to the video screen.
33:52Admittedly.
33:53You look like a stumbling idiot.
33:54No, I don't think that.
33:55No, I would never go that far.
33:56I understand you're trying to ask if that's what happened.
33:58I'm asking.
33:59No, no, no, no.
34:00So, Jennifer, who do you think is most responsible for the loss, if not you?
34:02If not me, I would say that it would be between...
34:05I was going to ask Angela and Derek to actually explain to me more of what happened with the signage.
34:08Is that to say Angela and Derek?
34:10Yes, and I planned on taking it to Derek to ask about the signage.
34:13Now, Derek's not here.
34:14Derek's the person who came up with the go-kart.
34:16What was your role, Angela?
34:18What was your role?
34:20I was sort of heading up the creative aspect.
34:23I also assisted with part of operations.
34:25Would you say that your responsibility was partly to convey the luxury theme in this case?
34:29It was.
34:30And how well do you think you did in that regard?
34:31We were limited.
34:33I don't think you did a very good job.
34:34I definitely agree.
34:36One, I never agreed on the go-karts.
34:38You agree that you did not do a good job?
34:40We didn't do a good job of conveying the luxury.
34:42You mean as a team or yourself?
34:43As a team, as a team.
34:45But for you and Derek specifically, and since Derek's not here, I can only focus on you,
34:48part of your responsibility was to convey luxury.
34:50And I'll go through why I don't think that that was conveyed.
34:53Particularly, I'm upset about the go-karts because to me that does not speak about Lexus.
34:58You didn't like it?
34:59I didn't like it.
35:00And Derek liked it?
35:01No, actually, no one on the team, I think.
35:03How did you end up with go-karts?
35:04We couldn't come up with something besides the event that we had,
35:08which I thought in and of itself was great.
35:09Who made the decision to go with the go-karts?
35:10Jen did.
35:11I did. I thought we needed something else to be there.
35:12Did anyone else agree with go-karts?
35:14No.
35:15Nobody else agreed with the go-karts?
35:16And the people who didn't vocalize it to me were the creative team,
35:19who didn't come up with anything else.
35:20And I said, please, we have so much stuff that we're doing right here,
35:23I'm leaving it up to the creative team.
35:24Because when you're a manager, you have to assign teams to things.
35:27And you have to rely on those people on the team to come through,
35:29on things like signage, on ideas.
35:31So who didn't come through for you?
35:32Basically, I was disappointed in the end, in the signage and all the ideas that came out of the creative team,
35:36which was Derek and Angela.
35:37So tell me, what does that mean?
35:38Who?
35:39Derek and Angela.
35:40Derek and Angela.
35:41Yes.
35:43If I can ask Suri a question.
35:45Did you have any...
35:46Hey, Suri, do you have anything to say?
35:47I absolutely have a question.
35:48Did you have any...
35:49I don't want to interrupt.
35:50...entertainment...
35:51I don't mind if we interrupt.
35:52You say something.
35:53Absolutely.
35:54Jennifer, going back to the go-karts, what value did you feel like it added?
35:56You did have a driving experience.
35:57I felt...
35:58People did drive the car, correct?
35:59Yes.
36:00Yes.
36:01I felt like we had to do something that made people have a little bit of fun.
36:02We wanted to put people in a good mood.
36:03And I will say, there were a lot of people on there enjoying them.
36:05It just happened.
36:06But you see it.
36:07I think you could see that they would enjoy it.
36:08Were you also in the back of your mind thinking that 33% of what we'd be graded on is,
36:11does this convey the Lexus feel?
36:12I wouldn't expect to see a go-kart at a Lexus event.
36:15Christine, who do you believe is most responsible for the laws?
36:17Well, if we're going to say that the go-karts did convey luxury,
36:20then it would be Jen because she made that decision independent of the entire team.
36:23No, we worked together.
36:24No, we worked together great.
36:25I mean, Jen, I think you were a good project manager, but...
36:27Okay, okay, okay.
36:28Mona, if you were me, who would you fire?
36:30I would fire Jen.
36:31What about Angela?
36:32I wouldn't fire Angela because I know the work that she put into...
36:36Yeah, but it wasn't very good work.
36:38But, sir, I believe that the presentation to the audience was key,
36:42and I really was disappointed with what I heard.
36:45Jennifer.
36:46Wait, wait, wait.
36:47Wait, Randall.
36:48You got it.
36:49Jennifer.
36:50I'm curious, who would you bring back other than Angela?
36:52I assume you're going to bring back Angela.
36:54Yeah, I would have brought back Derek with her.
36:56Well, okay, so I did your work.
36:58It's okay.
36:59Do you want to bring back somebody else, or do you want to just bring back Angela?
37:02Why don't we just say Derek's fired?
37:05We all did such a great job.
37:07You're not going to get off the hook.
37:08And honestly, the signage was the big disaster.
37:11I'm not going to do it.
37:12Derek is fired because he was stupid, okay?
37:14And he said something so stupid.
37:16But he's also the person who chose the go-karts
37:18and also the person who was in charge of the signage.
37:19No, no, you chose the go-karts.
37:20You know why?
37:21You made the final decision.
37:22Because you're the project manager, okay?
37:24I don't agree.
37:25Because you're the project manager.
37:26Okay.
37:27You know, I'm presenting to the world.
37:28Well, even Derek said he was against the go-karts after he brainstormed it,
37:30and then you ended up...
37:31Excuse me.
37:32Randall.
37:33Okay.
37:34Jennifer.
37:35Don't you think if you were sitting in my seat right now,
37:38you would have a problem?
37:40With?
37:41You weren't an effective project manager.
37:43You lost.
37:44Your team didn't have great respect for you,
37:46although they do like you.
37:48I think you really tried...
37:49Did you ever say that you don't have respect for me?
37:50I do, just before...
37:51Jennifer, I think you really, really tried hard.
37:53But you did a lousy job, and you were a bad project manager.
37:56Jennifer, I don't want you to waste...
37:58I don't want to waste time.
37:59I mean, you could go back,
38:01you could take two people...
38:02Before you fire me, can you just get one thing?
38:04Go ahead.
38:05Because I know you're about to do it.
38:06Well, probably.
38:07Can you just say, though, that he just said they don't respect me?
38:09They do respect me.
38:10That's tough.
38:11That's really tough.
38:12They respect you.
38:13Jennifer, you're fired.
38:14I saw that one coming for a few minutes, right?
38:15Fired with respect.
38:16No, this was really fun, and these people are great,
38:18so you guys go get them, okay?
38:19Okay, thank you.
38:20And you're great, too.
38:21Thank you very much.
38:23Good luck, Jennifer.
38:25Okay.
38:26Thank you, sir.
38:29Good luck.
38:30Not a good performance.
38:31Not your best, Angela.
38:32Not my best, but I'm lucky I'm back tomorrow.
38:35All right, go ahead.
38:36Look, not your best.
38:37So long.
38:38Thanks.
38:42No, we really had no choice.
38:43No, no choice.
38:44That's fine.
38:45I don't know if I was ready for prime time, it's true.
38:47She's a nice woman, but it didn't work out.
38:49No.
38:50Congratulations to tonight's $10,000 Get Rich With Trump winner.
38:56You get to go home when you're...
39:00Hey, wait for me.
39:01Wait for me.
39:04Take care.
39:05Be respectful, okay?
39:06Okay.
39:07Go get them, okay?
39:08Can you manage?
39:09Yeah, this is...
39:10Oh, it's okay.
39:11The suitcase is falling apart anyway.
39:26$10,000 Get Rich With Trump
39:43People really had fun on those go-karts,
39:45but in the end, I guess if they had to check out a box saying,
39:47is it luxury, I guess, they had to say no.
39:50When Derek had fired, I knew that Mr. Trump still wanted to fire somebody else.
39:54I just knew it.
39:55Honestly, I was shocked that Derek got fired.
39:57I can't believe it just happened.
39:59Anybody on my team can win, but I'd put my money on Christine or Heidi.
40:02Who knows?
40:03You never know who's going to be the next apprentice.
40:04It's not me.
