00:00Alright guys, today we're going to be comparing the Pixel 7 Pro to the Galaxy Note 10 Plus
00:05here.
00:06So, if you guys have another request, be sure to put it in the comments.
00:09The Note 10 Plus, if you're holding on to your Note and you want to upgrade to the Pixel,
00:13I think it's going to come down to the cameras in this matchup, but there are several things
00:17that we need to talk about.
00:18There are several pros and cons, most definitely.
00:21So let's go ahead and get into it.
00:22The Note easily costs you around 300 bucks.
00:24I have that link down below.
00:26And then you also have the Pixel 7 Pro, costs you around 900 dollars.
00:30Alright, so hardware wise, they're both two very big phones.
00:34As you can see, the Pixel is going to be thicker and heavier, for sure.
00:38And just two really beautiful, unique designs here with the Aura Glow on the Note.
00:43It's just absolutely mesmerizing to look at.
00:46And then the Pixel, just a really unique design with its, you know, pretty stand, with its
00:51very unique camera bar as well too.
00:53They're both glass and metal phones, they're both IP68, dust and water resistant.
00:58One hardware difference, or two hardware differences you'll notice is that the Note does have the
01:03S Pen.
01:04So, the S Pen is something that you'll be able to do digital artwork, jot down notes, basically
01:11navigate with your phone if you desire to, and it's got a lot of software back in it,
01:16so that's one thing you'll be giving up.
01:18Also, with the hardware, SD card support is on the Note 10 Plus.
01:22You don't have that on the Pixel as well too.
01:26Guys, let's go ahead and talk about the displays on both of these phones.
01:29So, with the Pixel 7 Pro here, we do have a really beautiful LTPO AMOLED display.
01:37It is 6.7 inches, and then it's 120Hz HDR10+.
01:41It gets up to 1500 nits peak brightness as well too, and then it's a 512 for the PPI.
01:48And then the Note is also a 1440p display, 498 for the PPI.
01:53It's slightly bigger at 6.8 inches, you can barely tell, but it's also dynamic AMOLED,
02:00it's HDR10+.
02:01So, the big difference with both of these displays is one, the Pixel doesn't curve as
02:06much as the Note does, which is something that you might like, but really the big difference
02:11is you have 120Hz on the Pixel versus the 60Hz on the Note.
02:18So the 120Hz is going to make your phone feel a lot more silky smooth, so that's something
02:24that you might be interested in.
02:26But in general, both displays, they just look really good, honestly.
02:31So the Pixel does have the better display, it is LTPO, it is 120Hz, like I said, it is
02:36slightly brighter as well too.
02:38But you can see the Note for an older flagship looks very modern compared to the Pixel, honestly.
02:44They both pretty much have the same resolution, and they both are just really nice and sharp
02:49looking in terms of quality goes.
02:52Alright, so next we need to talk about the software, so it's pretty much a night and
02:58day experience.
02:59With the Pixel 7, we're running stock Android, and like I said, it's very vanilla, right?
03:06You don't have a ton of stuff going on here compared to OneUI, where you have just a ton
03:12of software enhancements on here, Samsung desktop support, secure folders.
03:17They have a ton of stuff with OneUI, I think it's better in some ways in terms of the features
03:23when it comes to multitasking and other stuff.
03:26So it really depends, like you don't have the dual applications like you do on Samsung
03:31with like, you know, Chrome and then you got the Samsung browser and stuff like that.
03:36The gallery, you have two galleries and stuff like that.
03:38So if you want a more cleaner version of Android, definitely you'll like the Pixel, but like
03:46I said, if you're more of a heavier user, more of an advanced user, then you'll really
03:50like OneUI.
03:52This does have OneUI 4.1 with Android 12, this one has Android 13, and this one will
04:00be getting, you know, more updates since it's a newer phone.
04:03This one will be getting security patches for the next three years, so do take that
04:08into consideration.
04:10Also guys, let's check out the Geekbench scores, because this is pretty important here, and
04:15really not that important.
04:17You'd actually be surprised at how close the Note is able to keep up with the Pixel.
04:22So you do have better scores on the Pixel, of course.
04:26You have the new Google Tensor chip, the G2, and then you also have 128 gigs of internal
04:32storage and 12 gigs of RAM on this model.
04:35The Note, it does have the Snapdragon 855 chip, and then we do have micro SD card support,
04:40and then the base model one here is 256 gigs, and then we also have 12 gigs of RAM.
04:45So overall, you're going to get way more storage on a base model Note.
04:50You just get more storage in general, because you have the SD card support as well.
04:53So if you download a lot of stuff, you're going to have way, way more storage on your
04:58Note.
04:59As far as the speed goes, right?
05:02So both phones pretty much still feel somewhat on par with each other when it comes to just
05:08opening applications and stuff.
05:11As you can see, basically, super, super close.
05:20Maybe with games, you might see a bit of a difference here.
05:23Hold on, that's way too many pop-ups.
05:31Let's try that again.
05:41Boom.
05:44You can see, basically on par with each other, almost the same speed in terms of launching
05:52applications and stuff like that.
05:54Also, let's go ahead and launch, let's try Instagram.
06:03Let's try PUBG.
06:05All right, guys, so we got PUBG open, and we're going to go ahead and open up PUBG graphics,
06:11and you can see HDR Extreme on the Note, and it plays really well, guys.
06:15Like I said, I do have a full gaming test.
06:17It is super fast, guys, and not just with this.
06:20With a lot of games, it's still able to play at some really nice frame rates as well.
06:26The Pixel as well, too, is able to play this as well at HDR Extreme, and again, very fast
06:35feeling on the Pixel as well, too.
06:39So, honestly, you're going to get a really good gaming experience on both of these phones
06:44for the most part.
06:45All right, let's go ahead and check out the speakers on here, max volume.
06:49We'll start with the Note.
07:10Yeah, the Pixel does have, overall, the better speakers here.
07:14They just sound way fuller, just way fuller bass on here.
07:24The Note 10 Plus is actually just as loud.
07:26It just lacks, like, the bass.
07:30It's almost not even comparable.
07:33Yeah, so the Pixel speakers have always been impressive to me.
07:39Let's talk about some more additional features.
07:42Both these phones do have an under-the-display fingerprint sensor, and you also can do face
07:47unlock.
07:48Now, which one feels faster?
07:49I would still say the Note feels faster than the Pixel's optical fingerprint scanner.
07:55Definitely.
07:56You have to apply a little bit of pressure to the Pixel, but with the Note, it's like
08:00a light tap, which, to me, just feels faster and smoother, but the Pixel is also, it is
08:06fast and it is improved over the first gen one, but yeah, face unlock works great on
08:12both of these guys, but as far as, like, additional stuff goes, really, the Note kind of wins
08:18in this area, because not only does it have the S-Pen, but you also have SD card support
08:24as well, too, so that's kind of like a big thing, and they both have NFC.
08:28They both have wireless charging.
08:30They both have reverse wireless charging, so you actually, technically, do get a little
08:34bit more on the Note.
08:36So, this will probably be the deciding factor for a lot of people here, is the cameras,
08:41so I'll show you guys the side-by-side stills.
08:43Let's check out the specs.
08:44You have a 15 megapixel standard, a 48 megapixel telephoto, with 3x optical zoom, then 12 megapixel
08:51ultra-wide.
08:52You also have 4K 60 on the front and back, with a 10.8 megapixel selfie cam on here.
08:58The Galaxy Note does have a 12 megapixel standard, and then you have a 12 megapixel telephoto
09:03that does 2x, and then a 16 megapixel ultra-wide, and then a 0.3 depth sensor.
09:08It shoots in 4K 60 on the front and back, with a 10 megapixel selfie cam on here, so
09:14check out the side-by-side stills.
09:15Let me know what do you guys think.
10:03Alright guys, here's the video on the Note.
10:11Here's our 0.5.
10:17Here's our 2x.
10:20Alright guys, here's our video on the Pixel.
10:28Here's our 0.5 as well.
10:342x.
10:375x.
10:47As far as the battery life experience goes, the Note still has a very good battery life
10:52experience, and that's mostly due to this phone having a 45 watt charger on it.
10:58So it charges actually faster than the Pixel does.
11:01It's 4,300 milliamps, reverse wireless charging, and honestly this phone can get 6 hours of
11:06screen on time pretty easily.
11:09My Pixel 7 Pro, 5,000 milliamp battery, and then you also have 23 watt fast charging as
11:15well as wireless charging, so you can see the Pixel charges way slower than the Note
11:19goes.
11:20You can definitely feel it.
11:22But the Pixel's also going to give you very good battery life as well too, so I think
11:25they're kind of tied in terms of battery life in my opinion.
11:29I've just never had these phones die on me in a day.
11:32So it really comes down to those little pros and cons.
11:35I think the big deciding factor is going to be how you felt about the image quality, video
11:39quality, stuff like that.
11:41And be sure to let me know your thoughts, and I'll catch you guys in the next one.
