00:04Commonly asked question I get should you get the pixel 7 pro or the s22 plus I put this in my best $300 phone
00:12List and a lot of people wanted to see this comparison and for good reason both two very good phones
00:18The pixel has a very good camera
00:20But I think you guys will be surprised the s22 plus also
00:23Offers quite a bit as well too and the cameras are actually still really good on the s22 plus as well
00:29So let's go ahead and dive in here. So hardware wise you do have very nice designs on both of these phones here
00:36Um, so the pixel has a glossy back here, which in this color really doesn't pick up fingerprints
00:42I'm sure on the black version you'll see like smudges and stuff like that
00:46But what's cool about the s22 plus is that it has a matte finish
00:50So even on the black version, you don't see any fingerprints at all. You have two very nice designs on here as well, too
00:57They both feel pretty solid in the hand
01:00They don't really cut into the palm. They have that nice feel to them and yeah hardware wise
01:05They're both ip68 dust and water resistant as well, too
01:08And the pixel is definitely a little bit bigger than the s22 plus as well
01:13Not by much, but definitely it's a tad bit bigger on the s22 plus you do have a 6.6 inch display
01:20It's dynamic AMOLED 120 Hertz HDR 10 plus
01:241750 nits peak brightness. It is a completely flat display as well, too
01:30It's 1080p as well
01:32393 for the PPI the pixel 7 Pro has a slightly bigger display at 6.7 inches

01:40This one gets up to 1500 nits peak brightness and then it is a 1440p display
01:46So it is a higher resolution display than the s22 plus and it's 512 for the PPI two really good
01:53Displays here. It really just comes down to personal preference
01:56You do get the higher resolution display when the pixel 7 Pro so you can kind of enjoy that
02:021440p content, but honestly, they both look really good looking at it side-by-side
02:06You do have the completely flat panel on the s22 plus as well, too
02:11Which some people you know, you may prefer so it really comes down to that
02:15They both do pretty good in direct sunlight as well
02:18I think Samson's display is also a little bit more saturated as well
02:22It has it just a little bit more of a colorful look to it
02:25But those are essentially the the big display differences here
02:28Alright, so you do have the snapdragon 8gen one on the s22 plus Google tensor G2 processor on the pixel as you can see
02:36Slight score differences, but nothing really too major here
02:40So like benchmark wise they're pretty similar. And like I said getting into like
02:48Animations and the feel of the device they both are very smooth
02:52The pixel experience is really surrounded by Google
02:55I think Samsung experience is a kind of more for power users these days
03:01You got Samsung desktop support you got good lot
03:03There's a lot you could do with these two phones, but like animation wise and just getting into applications
03:10They're both smooth as you can see. I don't think one is really that much smoother than the other
03:15I think they've done a fantastic job with making these phones really really smooth try subway surf
03:25Yeah, so they're almost pretty much on par with each other and obviously they they have similar
03:33benchmark scores
03:35Let's go ahead and get into pub G here. Now. There is gonna be a difference when it comes to gaming
03:39It's not that the pixel is weaker
03:42than the s22 plus
03:44It's just that it's these these snapdragon processors are a little bit more optimized
03:48So if I'm a gamer, I'm going with the s22 plus on you know off the bat and I'll show you guys
03:53Now I think pub G is the best example here
03:56The pixel is gonna do a pretty good job with pub G and gaming you can see you have HDR extreme
04:02But you don't have the 90 frames option on the pixel
04:06But like I said for anybody gaming this still does a fairly good job when it comes to our performance
04:12Now the s22 plus like I said, it is a little bit better optimized here
04:18So you will have the 90 frames option for pub G
04:22As you can see you got that smooth extreme plus on here. So it is going to be a little bit more smoother
04:29So if you're a competitive gamer, then obviously you're gonna go with the s22 plus
04:34I don't really have major heating problems with either of these phones. I'm not a huge heavy heavy gamer like that
04:41So, you know, I haven't had any crashes or any issues like that
04:45Alright, so you do have 8 gigs of RAM and 128 gigs of internal storage on the s22 plus and then the pixel it does
04:52Have also for the base model 128 gigs and then you have 12 gigs of RAM on here

05:00So I do want to go ahead and talk about the fingerprint scanner on here
05:05The s22 plus is just so much better. It is much smoother
05:09it's an ultrasonic the pixel has the
05:12Optical one which is fast. Don't get me wrong. It's fast, but you can definitely tell like the speed difference
05:17But they both have face unlock as well too, which is really nice. Let's test out these speakers where I max volume
05:40Oh, yeah, the pixel definitely has the better speaker here
05:51The base is just so much louder on the pixel and then you also do have just a I think a cleaner sound
06:00Yeah, the base is nowhere near as good
06:03On the s22 plus. Um, so I think the the pixel wins by a good margin actually
06:09All right. So I want to go ahead and discuss the cameras on both of these phones
06:13So the pixel 7 Pro has a 50 megapixel standard in a 48 megapixel telephoto
06:19It does 5 times optical zoom and goes all the way up to 30 times
06:23Zoom you also have a 12 megapixel ultra-wide shoots in 4k 60 with a 10.8 megapixel selfie cam that shoots in 4k 60 as well
06:31The s22 plus has a 50 megapixel standard
06:34it has a 3 times optical and then it goes also all the way up to 30 times zoom and then this phone has a
06:4210 megapixel telephoto
06:4412 megapixel ultra-wide shoots in 8k 24 and then it goes all the way up to 30 times zoom
06:5012 megapixel ultra-wide shoots in 8k 24 has a 10 megapixel selfie cam that shoots in 4k 60
06:57So I was pretty impressed with these shots here. So I wanted to know what you guys thought

08:38All right, so I do want to discuss battery life here in the whole battery situation
08:43I do think the s22 plus has the better battery life and the better standby time as well, too
08:49So it has a actually a smaller battery at 4500 milliamps
08:52It's 45 watt charging with wireless and reverse wireless charging and then only pixel has a 5000 milliamp
08:59Our battery does charge a bit slower at 23 watts
09:03And then it does have a 23 watt wireless charging and reverse wireless charging as well
09:08Um, so basically like I said, I think the battery is battery life is just better on the s22 plus

09:15you know, there could be a various reasons why but
09:19It definitely is noticeable
09:21Um, the pixel 7 pro has pretty good battery life. You can pretty much squeeze
09:26About six hours of screen on time out. It's phone. It's just a standby time
09:29It's just nowhere near as good on the s22 plus as well
09:33Um, so that pretty much wraps this one up. I think it's a pretty close
