00:00What's up guys, so the official One UI 6.1 update for the S22 series, this is the S22 plus,
00:07but it came out for the S22 series today, so go to software and download the update.
00:13And yeah guys, so really exciting stuff you can see here, April 1st security patch.
00:19So let's go ahead and let's go ahead and talk about this update. First off,
00:23the performance on here is pretty smooth. I haven't really noticed too much of a difference,
00:27no battery life issues or anything like that. Now Samsung did pull the update because it was
00:31supposed to come out earlier, but it had some type of boot problem where it was messing up on the
00:37boot. So they pulled it and fixed it. So let's talk about the new Galaxy AI features. So this
00:43is a big deal because mobile software is pretty much going to be a lot of AI stuff in the future
00:49guys. So this just expands the lifespan of these older flagships. So that's why I say it's an
00:55excellent time to buy older flagships now because they're getting all the same features as a Galaxy
01:00S24 Ultra essentially. So there is one feature missing here and I'll show you guys what it is,
01:06but everything else is still here. So you got your real-time translations, doing phone calls,
01:11your Samsung keyboard. So change the tone of writing, get spelling and grammar suggestions,
01:15translate messages and select chat and text messages. So there's a lot of like language
01:20translations here as well too. You also have live translation as well too, which is very,
01:26very cool. So you can speak to somebody and they're speaking a different language. You can
01:29translate it straight from your phone and then you have your Samsung notes application. So it'll
01:33summarize basically your notes and kind of organize it for you. Voice recorder one here as well too.
01:41You can get text transcripts. I'll show you some of these guys, the photo editor and then Samsung
01:45internet. The Samsung internet thing is very cool as well too. But what's really cool is the circle
01:51to search. I think that's going to be like the most used feature that a lot of people will really
01:57like. Just being able to circle and search anything essentially and it'll pop up in Google.
02:02And even if you take like a picture or something, it'll be able to recognize that as well too. So
02:08if I take a picture of a pixel, go ahead and do my circle to search, take a picture of the box,
02:15it'll just find the pixel. So circle to search, very cool. The Samsung internet one I think is
02:21really cool as well too. So it'll summarize websites. So if you want like a quick summary,
02:28you just hit that galaxy AI button right here and then summarize. And then it'll basically
02:35just give you a full summary so you don't have to read the whole webpage and you just get a gist
02:40of what they're saying. You can also hit that translate button as well too and it'll translate
02:44it to Spanish and you have a bunch of other languages on here as well too that you can
02:48translate it to. So very, very cool stuff right there. Now I think the photo editing stuff is,
02:55it's not my favorite AI thing here. I'll go ahead and show you guys, like pick a photo out.
03:01So let's pick this one out right here. So a lot of people will probably use this. So you hit the
03:05galaxy AI button again and you just kind of circle, like I won't change this object here.
03:11It'll recognize it. And then basically I can like move it or I can like erase it and then it'll
03:21replace it with something else. Now it does take a minute to kind of generate it. It's not like
03:26super fast. You know, like I said, it'll probably be faster as time goes on,
03:34but as you can see, it did a really good job right there. So it just removed it, filled it in.
03:40I thought that was, that's pretty good. So it is getting better because when I first tried it,
03:45it was like doing weird stuff. It just didn't look good, but that looks pretty great. So
03:50I think that's pretty cool. And when you save stuff, it'll put it like a little AI marker here
03:55because that's going to be a problem too in the future. A lot of, you're not going to know what
03:59AI people are going to be changing stuff so much, especially when the iPhone gets around to it,
04:04you're going to see a lot of fake pictures and stuff like that. Now we're in the Samsung
04:08notes application here, and there's a lot going on here as well too. So if we hit the AI button,
04:14as you can see, I spelled zoo wrong. I just copied and pasted that article. And if I
04:18click correct spelling, it does a really good job at like finding errors in the spelling and it'll,
04:24you know, replace it if you want to click add to as well too. And then if I hit it again,
04:30you have auto format on here so you can add headings and stuff like that. So it does a
04:36really good job. So if you really, you know, use Samsung notes a lot, I think you'll really like
04:40this update as well too here. And then if you click translate, we can also translate this to
04:48another language as well. All right. So one of the features that you are missing here is the
04:54automatic slow-mo on the hold down. So basically if I click it, you can see it'll automatically
05:01slow the video down and you can go ahead and just, it's that easy to get a slow-mo. And then
05:08if I hold it down right here, you can see there's no effect that happens. I'm not sure why, maybe
05:14the chip can't handle it or something. I don't know, but that's the one feature that, you know,
05:19it is missing here. So, you know, that's pretty much it guys. So definitely a very cool update.
05:28I think breathes a lot of life into the phone as well too. And yeah, so when the S21 comes out
05:34with the, some of the, I think it only gets like one or two features. I'll cover that, but yeah,
