00:00Let's continue to monitor the two typhoons outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:06First, this severe tropical storm with an international name, Trami,
00:11that hit Christine.
00:12So, it came out of our PAR yesterday at 2 p.m.
00:17So, our latest location as of 3 a.m. today is 630 kilometers away,
00:23Kanlura, Bacnotan, La Union.
00:26It has a strong wind that is close to the middle, reaching 95 kilometers per hour
00:31when it opens, it reaches 115 kilometers per hour.
00:35Its movement continues westward or to Kanluran at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour
00:41away from our country.
00:43And this other typhoon, this tropical storm with an international name, Kongray,
00:48that is still outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility, our last location,
00:521,825 kilometers east of Central Luzon.
00:56It has a strong wind that is close to the middle, reaching 65 kilometers per hour
01:01when it opens, it reaches 80 kilometers per hour.
01:04Its movement is northwestward at a speed of 35 kilometers per hour
01:08near the eastern boundary of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:14And we can see here in our latest satellite images
01:17that the trough or extension of the Severe Tropical Storm Trami,
01:21which was previously known as Cristin,
01:23will bring down or will bring down the clouds
01:26in a large part of the western section of Southern Luzon.
01:30Meanwhile, the southwesterly wind flow, or the wind coming from the north of Kanluran
01:35that was previously being blown by the typhoon Cristin,
01:38will also bring down the clouds and rain today in a large part of Visayas,
01:44this northern portion of Mindanao.
01:46For Metro Manila and in the rest of the country,
01:50we will experience today a brighter time,
01:54aside from the chances of isolated rain showers or localized thunderstorms.
01:59And this is our latest track and intensity forecast
02:03for Severe Tropical Storm Cristin that was issued at 11 p.m. yesterday.
02:08We can see here in our track the continuous generally westward movement of the typhoon.
02:15From today until tomorrow, Sunday.
02:19But when Monday arrives, next week until Wednesday,
02:22we will see here that the movement of the typhoon Cristin will be slightly wavy
02:28and it will loop counterclockwise and then will move,
02:32or will move generally eastward,
02:33bringing it closer to the western boundary of our Philippine area of responsibility.
02:39This looping movement will be heavily dependent on the track and intensity
02:43of another tropical storm that we are watching,
02:46the Tropical Storm Congre,
02:48which is in the east of our Philippine area of responsibility,
02:52outside bar.
02:53And this is not the only factor that is affected.
02:56Other weather systems surrounding Cristin
03:01will have an effect on the movement of the typhoon.
03:06High-pressure areas on the periphery of the typhoon
03:10as well as the northeasterly wind flow,
03:13this is the dry wind coming from the northeast
03:16that enters the circulation of the typhoon Cristin.
03:20This northeasterly wind flow will also have an effect
03:22on the possible weakening of the typhoon in the coming days.
03:25From today until tomorrow,
03:27we will see here that Cristin will maintain the Severe Tropical Storm intensity category.
03:33It is possible that this part will increase or slightly intensify.
03:36But when Monday to Wednesday arrives,
03:38because of the entrance of the northeasterly wind flow,
03:41it will have an effect on the possible weakening or downgrade of Cristin
03:46into a Tropical Storm category.
03:50And this is our track and intensity forecast
03:52for the Tropical Storm Congre,
03:54which was also issued at 11 p.m. last night.
03:56So we will see here in our track forecast,
04:00the generally west-northwestward movement of the Tropical Storm Congre.
04:06So it is possible that tomorrow or Sunday early morning
04:09or early Sunday,
04:11it will enter our Philippine Area of Responsibility
04:14and when it enters,
04:15we will give it a domestic name, Leon.
04:18The west-northwestward movement of the Tropical Storm Congre will continue
04:22until Monday.
04:24Monday to Tuesday, its movement will be north-westward.
04:27Tuesday onwards, it will be northward.
04:29Or its movement will be northward towards the northern boundary
04:33of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
04:37So the Tropical Storm Congre will continue its Tropical Storm category
04:40throughout the day.
04:42It is possible that it will increase as a Severe Tropical Storm category
04:45tomorrow or Sunday.
04:46And when Monday arrives,
04:49it will increase as a Typhoon category.
04:52And we will see here in our track forecast
04:55that it is possible that the Tropical Storm Congre will remain far away
05:01in our Philippine Landmass.
05:04But if that is the case,
05:05the Outer Rain Bans,
05:06as the typhoon said,
05:07it is possible that it will rain in the coming days
05:11here in the extreme northern Luzon.
05:12As well as the southwesterly wind flow,
05:15which is possible that it will hit,
05:16it will rain in a large part of the southern Luzon,
05:19Visayas, and Mindanao.
05:21So stay tuned
05:22for updates about the Tropical Storm Congre.
05:26And once it enters our PAR,
05:28we will issue 6-hourly Tropical Cyclone Bulletins.
05:33And this will be our time today.
05:36In the area of Occidental Mindoro and Palawan,
05:39due to the effect of the trough or extension of the Severe Tropical Storm Christina
05:45that is outside our PAR,
05:46we expect a high chance of thunderstorms.
05:50It is still possible there.
05:51The areas of flooding and landslides,
05:53especially if the rainfall continues.
05:57For Metro Manila,
05:58and for a large part of Luzon or the rest of Luzon,
06:01we can expect that the rainfall will decrease.
06:05As compared to the heavy rainfall that we experienced in the past few days,
06:09we are still prepared for the chances of sudden and sudden rainfall
06:15caused by localized thunderstorms.
06:17So for a large part of Luzon,
06:19since we experienced heavy rainfall in the past few days,
06:23if we experience rain,
06:25even if it's just a small amount,
06:26it is still possible for flash floods or landslides to occur
06:30because the land in our locality is possibly saturated.
06:35So our maximum temperature forecast for today,
06:38for the area,
06:39it is possible to reach 31 degrees Celsius.
06:4220 degrees in the area of Baguio City
06:44and 31 degrees Celsius in Taguig-Araw.
06:46Maximum temperature forecast for Metro Manila today,
06:49it is possible to reach 31 degrees Celsius.
06:5227 degrees in the area of Tagaytay
06:55and 32 degrees Celsius in Legazpi City.
06:59Here in Palawan,
07:00the whole of Visayas,
07:01and Western and Northern Mindanao,
07:03here in the regions of Zamboanga Peninsula,
07:06Northern Mindanao, and Caraga,
07:07we can also expect a high chance of flash floods,
07:10landslides, and flash floods today.
07:13Here in Palawan,
07:14the trough or extension of Severe Tropical Storm Christine
07:17is outside of Par.
07:18And the rains in Visayas and Northern Mindanao
07:22are due to the Southwest Sea Wind Flow
07:25that is currently being caused by Severe Tropical Storm Christine.
07:28So let's be prepared for landslides and landslides in these areas.
07:33For the rest of Mindanao,
07:35generally fair weather conditions are what we expect today.
07:38Mostly cloudy conditions in the morning,
07:40but improving weather conditions when reaching
07:42before noon,
07:43but when reaching late afternoon to evening,
07:45there are still chances of isolated rain showers
07:49or localized thunderstorms.
07:50Maximum temperature forecast for Clayan Islands today
07:53is possible to reach 29 degrees Celsius.
07:5630 degrees in the area of Puerto Princesa,
07:5929 degrees Celsius in the area of Iloilo,
08:02and 30 degrees Celsius in Cebu and Tacloban.
08:05Maximum temperature forecast for Cagayan de Oro today
08:09is possible to reach 33 degrees Celsius.
08:1134 degrees in the area of Davao,
08:13and 31 degrees Celsius in the area of Zamboanga.
08:17And in terms of our ocean,
08:19we still have high gale warnings
08:22in the western seaboard of Northern Luzon.
08:25So here in the western coast of Pangasinan,
08:27in the towns of Bolinao, Bani, Agno, Burgos, Dasol, and Infanta,
08:32we still have high gale warnings there
08:34because of our fishermen and small fishing boats
08:38And to these towns, if possible,
08:40please do not go out
08:42because we can still experience
08:44severe tropical storm Christine.
