This afternoon, lots of dry weather around the UK, with some scattered cloud and isolated patches of rain and drizzle in hilly areas. Some mild temperatures, feeling pleasant in any sunshine for the time of year. Into the evening, staying dry and mild, with thicker cloud pushing south, leaving clear skies and colder temperatures in the far north. North Wales and central England will also see some clear skies tonight, where there will be a risk mist and fog forming by tomorrow morning. - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the afternoon of 29/10/24. 00:00Hello, good afternoon. A dry, fine and settled afternoon, a bit cloudy at times with some
00:06rain and drizzle, but generally largely brighter than it was yesterday afternoon. Taking a
00:10look at today then, just towards this far southeast, some longer spells of light rain
00:14and drizzle, fairly similar across the far northwest highlands too, but otherwise there's
00:19got to be lots of dry, fine weather around and some brighter spells too. A bit cloudy
00:23at times and this cloud thick enough to produce some spots of rain and drizzle, but that's
00:27generally going to be around hilly areas and largely mild for the time of year too. Highs
00:31of 16 to 17 degrees, perhaps even 18 degrees across the far southeast today, so feeling
00:37rather pleasant for this time in October. As we head into this evening, fairly similar,
00:43once again that cloud thick enough to produce some light spots of rain and drizzle, but
00:46on the whole it is going to be largely dry and fairly mild too. A mix of cloud and some
00:51clearer spells, and where we see those clearer spells we're likely to see some mist and fog
00:55by the time we reach the morning. Might be a little bit stubborn to clear at times too.
01:00On the whole feeling a little bit chillier under those clearer skies, but for most a
01:03fairly mild night on offer. For the middle part of the week then, we have high pressure
01:08buildings, so once again largely dry, fine and settled. Once again a mix of cloud and
01:14some clearer spells. We may just see some longer spells of rain though just creep into
01:18Shetland and Orkney as we head into this afternoon. Once again though a slight dip in temperatures,
01:24but on the whole largely mild for the time of year. Now for the rest of the week, we
01:29have got that high pressure sticking around, still once again with that cloud and moisture
01:33stuck underneath, so some cloudy days to end the week, but also some brighter spells at
01:38times. Perhaps some longer spells of rain as we head towards the end of the week in
01:41the far north, and notice a slight squeeze in those isobars too, so some breezier weather
01:46on its way too. Otherwise lots of dry and fine weather around. That's it from me, bye
01:50bye for now.
